... So apologies this comes off as me bitching but considering I'm someone in Rwde I feel like yapping my ass off.

And this is entirely from my own perspective so hopefully this is a little bit understandable.

For me it's not the fact yang doesn't resolve around Ruby as a character but the fact it feels less like she's Ruby sister and more like a complete stranger.

Prime example is the scene where Ruby loses her shit. Yang doesn't try to calm her down the moment ruby blows up at her and Blake instead focuses on protecting Blake. And while obviously Blake and yang being in a relationship would logistically have a state of tunnel vision. I would assume that she has enough care to still try to talk to Ruby instead of 100% focusing on protecting Blake.

Add that with the fact yang didn't atleast go "what the hell" (or something of a similar vain) at jaune after he quickly got on the offensive and entirely blamed Ruby for everything which led ruby to run away... I'm just a tad frustrated. And the scene in Rwby: beyond feels more like an excuse than an actual story scene.

But then again I have a bias and I'm shitty with writing essays. So obviously (and like most Rwby fans I hope] my opinion is not inherently correct.

You ever look at a character you like in a show, go into the fandom and find people who don't like that character for certain reasons.

But you aren't mad.

That's me, that's me when it comes to Jaune because for some my brain decided to say "both this fuckin noodle and yang are your favorite characters." And God damn..

Does this shit fuckin hurt. Particularly when it comes to jaune.

So what the fuck do I do? Do I whine about how people shouldn't hate my favorite character? No, that's acting like a toddler.. plus I ain't got two fuckin braincells to construct a actually stable argument. (Why the fuck do you think the whole rant against "jaune is a self insert" is taking so god damn long... Outside of me being fuckin lazy)

So I have a different solution.

I as a man who foolishly decided to pick up the challenge of writing an entire fan rewrite of Rwby have decided to say! "I'm gonna prove why jaune can work in Rwby and why absolutely every single jaune hater is fuckin wrong!"

Ok that last bit is hyperbole. I am not a god tier writer (i fuckin struggle with even writing women.) but god damn is that how I feel... And if your too dumb to realize it yet.. this is just a plug for-

Neptune pointed to blue curtains with a wave of water crudely painted on them. The curtains part to reveal-

Jaune: uh.. hi?

Neptune walked up to the blonde as he rested an arm on jaune. Leaning against him a little with jaune whispering to him.

Jaune: remember. I'm only here because you said if I let you play a bard when I dm for GnG you'd pay me back for it.

Neptune would whisper back

Neptune: trust me jaune I am paying you back. Just have faith in Dr. Love.

Jaune would roll his eyes as Neptune walked away.

Jaunes body.. ached as he stood amongst the corpses of grimm, crocea mors laid on the ground broken along with his shield. He wanted to just lay down.. lay down and wake up to something else, before he felt a hand softly glide up and down his back as he grumbled softly. It was her.

"looks like I finally caught up to you roach~" the woman spoke slyly as her human hand soon stopped at the center of his back.

Jaune could have turned around and hit her, atleast get in one good shot, but he was so.. exhausted. He then heard footsteps as he looked up to see.. Pyrrha.

Jaune went wide eyed as he looked at her. The same smile on her face as her emerald eyes seemed to shine.

"I.. can't keep going. I'm sorry pyr's" jaune muttered as Pyrrha simply raised a hand. Before she did a thumbs up. Before she pointed.. as jaune saw ruby rushing in before she stopped looking on with horror.

Jaune felt something click as he realized something.. something that made jaune scowl at. She's going to be stuck in this cycle.. shes gonna get herself killed. But then jaune decided to speak to Ruby as his body started to burn.

"Ruby.. you got this from here" jaune spoke with a sweet smile as Ruby rushed towards him before finally-

A burst of flames erupted from Jaune's body as Ruby went pale. Her eyes went wide as she stopped running.. more accurately stumbled. Falling onto her side as she felt her eyes begin to water.

"JAUNE!" Ruby screamed as cinder just simply grinned from ear to ear. Before she heard Ruby release Another scream.

"just who the hell are you, CINDER?!"

Cinder turned look at the girl as the sadistic grin was still plastered on cinders face.

"NO NEED TO SCREAM RUBY! I CAN HEAR YOU JUST FINE!" cinder responded as she could see something in Ruby's eyes. Hate. Pure. Unrefined. Hatred.

(hot take: If jaune should die, I firmly stand that his death should be important to Ruby's character.)
