Started today with 50 thousand words, ended today with 20 thousand words on the document. Sometimes, that's how the keyboard falls. (Just kidding, it was my monstrous cat, send help)

I wrote zero words today, but I thought about writing words. Therefore, I'm a writer

That moment when you find a story you wrote five years ago and it is somehow the best and worst thing you've ever written? The dialogue? I'm so embarrassed. The plot twists? I'm on the edge of my seat.

I love sharing the different novels/movies that inspired my work because most of the time it confuses people. Like yes, my current novel was inspired by ideas/concepts I liked in Star Wars, Lord Of The Rings, Watership Down, Narnia and Harry Potter (Marauders specifically) How did I link all of those together to form one interesting story? Don't ask me, the side of my brain that's the author is asleep right now. And it wouldn't surprise me if I've drawn inspiration from Shadow and Bone or Deadboy Detectives as well without realising it. I love writing and I think we as authors shouldn't be scared to say what we've drawn inspiration from. What inspired your story?
