sometimes i doubt that im aroace but then it gets very obvious. like rn when my allo boyfriend is like "ourghhhh i miss u" and i say "i miss you too" but i dont mean it in the same way he does. he loves me romantically, he can see people as cute and he gets romantically and sexually attracted to people. i dont. if i think someone is cute it's like aweeee that's adorable. like a puppy or a kitten. i don't get butterflies in my stomach and i don't get weak in the knees for somebody. i never will. and when i say "i miss u too" to my boyfriend i mean it the way i would mean it about any of my friends. i mean "I want to hang out with you and i think that it would be cool if i lay across your lap while we do our own things." i kiss my boyfriend, but i would also kiss any of my friends. and yeah that's not just me being aroace it's also me being autistic. tbh i dont know if i actually AM polyamorous, but. I feel the same way about all of my friends. I like my boyfriend the same amount i like queerplatonic partner the same amount i like my best friend the same amount i like my parents the same amount i like my brother. HOWEVER. it is NOT the same way. EACH PERSON IS DIFFERENT. this is important to acknowledge. you can be aromantic and polyamorous and it's really important to recognize that things like autism and adhd can affect how you view different kinds of love and relationships. sometimes i feel romance repulsed and sometimes i really crave a romantic relationship. sometimes i want to kiss everyone and sometimes i cant stand the thought of anything on my lips. sometimes im sex repulsed and other times im indifferent. everyone feels things differently and things shift and change and THAT IS OKAY.

people act like it’s a flaw that qprs are difficult to define and confusing to allos as if that’s not half the fun! y’know those memes that are like “are you a boy or a girl?” followed by “no” / “yes”??? qprs are that energy but for relationships and for some reason we’ve still got folks trying to pretend that’s not nifty as fuck
