Like he sees Eddie dressing nicely, and smiling more, and listening to Tears for Fears, and he’s hanging out with Robin and Nancy and Steve basically all the time, so he think’s he knows what’s up

Eddie’s dating one of the girls

(he’s almost right)

So one morning after just Steve stays the night (cause Eddie might be grown, but he’s still Wayne’s kid, and he’s not allowed girls overnight in the house, he’s too young to have grandkids yet) Wayne corners Steve in the kitchen before Eddie’s up, and asks

“So, which of those girls you boys are always hanging out is Eddie’s, and which one’s yours?”

Steve, who is literally wearing Eddie’s shirt and boxers, sporting at least four visible hickeys and has slept over more nights than he hasn’t in the last week can just barely splutter out a pathetically false “We’re all single actually,” before running back to Eddie’s room to hide

And that’s when it clicks for Wayne

You want to know why Inigo Montoya remains such an iconic and beloved character even 35 years after the Princess Bride came out?

It's because he's one of the few characters in fiction who has a story where he has dedicated his life to revenge, his whole motivation is about getting revenge....and he gets it! and then he isn't empty or despairing! he doesn't regret it! he's totally satisfied!

because so many stories about revenge or rage are about characters "seeing the futility of their actions" or learning "their desire for revenge has only made them the monsters they hated" FUCK THAT.

Inigo Montoya kills the man who kills his father, is allowed to live in the narrative after and be happy about it and it is so satisfying. it's fantastic. it's iconic.

let more characters rage against the world, bring it down with bloodied hands, and let them be FUCKING RIGHT about it. Let them celebrate their success with sharp grins, and let them live happy, full lives where they always remain proud/fulfilled for what they've done

things I want to see in any future installments of the grishaverse (by Leigh bardugo) include:

- inej doing her pirate thing

- jesper and Wylan chilling in their garden as explosions go off in the background

- kaz breaking into little/big palace and stealing the crown

- said crown being sat on his shelf back in Ketterdam

-zoya unaible to do anything about it as she then had to admit of the crown being stolen in the first place

- nina sends him another crown

-kaz starts a collection

-he still has Alinas hair dress thingy from the show

-nikolai tried to steal it once as sturmhond 

-it ended tragically and he had to run to the Ravkan Embassy to avoid several explosive devises set up on his way

-he lands into the geldcanal at one point and swims/rows his say down towards the embassies

-jesper and wylan wave at him as he goes past, having no idea whats happened, wondering what kaz will them happened when he comes over for the evening

-inej at the time is having tea with Nina and Zoya at some royal party in os kervo making deals between Ravka and fjerda

-she knows

-both about kaz s security regarding his little collecting (purely gathered trough spite) and Nikolai’s ongoing attempt to get the crown back as they’ll need it for some function

-she also knows that kaz doesn’t have the crown, he gave it to her for safekeeping

-its in her bag, Zoya does not know, and has not stopped glaring at her as if kaz would somehow feel that glare through Inej. 

-nina suspects because of certain bones imbedded into the crown

-she is trying not to burst into laughter and cause an international incident between their countries

-inej is kicking Nina under the table, she is starting to want to disappear into her captains hat that kaz had bought for her. Zoya is starting affect the weather 

-dealing with pirates is easier than dealing with Zoya, Nina agrees while she’s trying to distract Zoya so inej can make her escape

-Alina just sips her tea, glad to be invited

You know what’s hilarious about SoH? Thalia and Nico watch Percy, on the brink of death and he passed out several times while they gave him ambrosia, lift up the Lethe for them and then see him go into the Lethe twice, keeping his memory both times while wiping a Titan of his, and then never mention this again. They see him do something that shouldn’t be possible, his father doesn’t rule all liquids and Underworld Rivers aren’t even water, and just go along with their day, business as usual. Also, this is presumably never mentioned to their fathers. Nico and Thalia went “Well, our dads already hate Percy and if they knew he was this powerful, they’d kill him. Let’s just not tell them.” They see him threaten to toss Persephone into the Lethe, and decided that was to be expected. Percy is off threatening a god again, and Thalia and Nico are just chilling to the side. Thalia sees this whole quest go down, and only asks if he wants to get burgers now that it’s over.

Percy: absolutely devastating power and control while on the edge of death, threatening Gods and wiedling immortal rivers as if they were his own

Thalia and Nico:

Huh. So he went there one time and stayed permanently.

annabeth: what are you doing?

leo: helping Percy look for his box of blue cookies that I ate an hour ago
