Do You Think The AI Rape Art Of Taylor Swift Is Justifiable Because It's Art And Not An Action?
Do you think the AI rape art of Taylor Swift is justifiable because it's art and not an action?
This is really not going to make you happy, Anon, but to be frank, its an AI image. By itself, its harmless.
The inexcusable action is deliberately attempting to expose the person concerned to it and also therein the harm. Plenty of unpalatable art is created for a myriad of reasons.
I frankly don't care if people make AI rape images of Taylor Swift. I care if they're trying to force her to see them or if they're trying to perpetrate them as real. I care if those images are deliberately being used maliciously to cause people harm.
If you think RPF is simply limited to 50 Shades-style Y/N fanfiction or thirst blogs, you are sorely mistaken. The brutal reality is that, yeah. People who enjoy rape fantasies and RPF can and do combine those two things. People with hardcore kinks can and do imagine them involving real people.

sometimes it’s hard af being an ex anti. For context, I just recently got into a popular “controversial” anime because the two mcs (who are an adult and minor) are kinda heavily implied to be lovers. And of course I ship them, right? And I like to think of myself as past my own old ideals, above how I used to see things, rejecting my old way of living and interacting with fandom, but there’s just… this nagging fear in the back of my head, like, “omg what if this is actually illegal,” “omg what if I’m actually a pedo,” “omg could I get arrested for reading this explicit fanfiction of them?” Not to mention that I’m deathly scared of reblogging or sharing any posts about the ship because I’m afraid I’ll get mobbed and doxxed. I don’t want to be scared. I wish I had the confidence that so many other proshippers have
Asks like this should really be a slap in the face to antis and people who think its perfectly fine and normal to terrorize people and risk their lives over fictional content.
Honestly, my best advice would be to carefully curate your internet space to offer as much protection to yourself as you can.
Block antis liberally. Especially ones known to be outspoken or to target people.
Scour your blog and remove any identifying information and limit what you post in reference to yourself. Never tell people your real name, hint at where you live (unless you're just generically stating the country, like "America.")
Avoid clicking on links or sites or following directions to internet locations, especially from random asks and posts.
Utilize proper tagging. Responsible antis will have tags they don't want to see blocked, and its best for both of you if you offer them the opportunity not to be exposed to your content.
Likewise, block certain tags.
But, aside from that, most of your thoughts are just anti propaganda. You're not going to be arrested for fanfiction. You're only a pedophile if you're actually sexually attracted to children. Its not illegal unless its something like actual CSEM.
Don't let their propaganda and lies work.
Hello, I know that your blog is about discourse, but I wanted to ask something about ao3: is there a way to put images there?
My blog is about many things, not strictly discourse. I'm more than happy to assist or discuss on other matters.
And as it happens, there are! There are a few ways you can insert an image into the main body;
This tutorial is one such way.
So is this one.
Then there's all the fuckery with the actual HMTL, but nobody has time for that and if you write on AO3 in the HTML mode, God is scared of you anyway.
I'm proship leaning but when other proshippers say "I don't trust when someone says [person] is a pedophile because aNtIs!" when that person has DOCUMENTED EVIDENCE of being a predator. You're willfully ignorant at best and think that pedophile is something that only happens in darkfic or weird kink at worst. Like, no, it's not antis faults you can't condem real predators.
That has nothing to do with proshipping itself and everything to do with the actual individual. Its disingenuous at best to reduce an entire community down to a select few.
However, I will say its understandable that sometimes even "documented proof" is called into question based on who is involved in the discussion. Again, this has nothing to do with me being a proshipper, but people who align with the 'anti' principles have:
Sourced and spread around child pornography and non-minor rape and sexual abuse materials, often even using them to torment and abuse the victims themselves.
Fabricated evidence on multiple occasions in order to incite a witch hunt against innocent people and claimed ignorance even when confronted with their actions.
Harassed and doxxed and bullied people to the point of losing their jobs, requiring medication and therapy and suicide attempts.
Called people predators and pedophiles for a numerous array of reasons, usually the majority of which have nothing to do with actual predation or pedophilia.
In the instances where I have my doubts about someone being called out, I will privately endeavor to do as much of my own research as I can before making any decision or getting involved in any way. Which again, has nothing to do with me being a proshipper. That's what you should do, rather than blindly believing and following accusations.
People have a right to genuine doubt. If or when it extends beyond genuine doubt into wilful ignorance and denial, that is an individual fault.

I am actually begging some people to just let some spaces exist untouched by real-world issues and horrors.
Like I've lost count of the amount of times peaceful game or fandom servers have been ruined by people stampeding in with political rants, bitching about world issues, demanding internal activism, demanding vent channels so they can whine about their shitty parents, ect.
Like. Respectfully. Not every single space has to be inclusive of and welcoming of outside topics. The real world sucks. We don't needed to be reminded of that absolutely everywhere.
What even is proshipping
Proshipping is pro-shipping. As in; for shipping. In support of shipping.
'Proship' is the modern evolution of the original acronym SALS, which stands for Ship And Let Ship. It is exactly the same concept as; "your kink is not my kink, but that's okay. Its simply not my business."
The core values of proshipping are:
Everyone has a right to ship.
Ships cannot and should not be controlled or dictated. (E.g; "I don't like this ship so you're a bad person for liking it and you're not allowed to ship it.")
People should not be shamed, harassed, threatened, ect because of their ships.
Modern 'proshipping' will often vary from individual to individual. In truth, the term 'proshipping' as its used and defined these days would be actually be 'profiction.' This is because many people expand proshipping in order encompass being pro-X across an array of varying creative and fandom based criteria.
However as 'proship' is the more commonly known label it is the most widely accepted.
There is often the common misconception stemming from careful propaganda that proshipping exclusively refers to the support and enjoyment of taboo or dark themes such as incest and pedophilia. This is not true.
Proshipping does not mean: "I enjoy incest." Proshipping means: "even if I do not enjoy incest, it is not my place to try to stop you doing so or harming you because of it."
