Remembering
Remembering
I woke up this morning seeing the golden sunrays slowly sneaking their way through the gaps between the windows and pinning their pretty rays on my face. As I get out of bed and started to tidy it up, I noticed something that was quite different from it. I observed that the mattress has some bulge in the center like there is something that was placed underneath it. I am not sure of what this…

It is such an unfortunate thing when you encounter people who seem to wake up each morning with a mantra of trying to do damage to you in any way possible. It is a given goal even if it happens to be a trivial thing. It is even more irritating and frustrating when it's your neighbour and they did this when you're having a low tolerance with BS people.
Just for a Little While
Just for a Little While
I was born in 1995, and I have spent my 25th year of existence during the onset of the 2020 pandemic. I have heard of the quarter-life crisis before, but I never did expect that I would be experiencing it while the world is in literal viral chaos. I have been in isolation before, but this imposed an unrelenting imposition of both internal and external turmoil. This, in turn, has given me an…

Movie Review: FABRICATED CITY (2017)

FABRICATED CITY (2017) Movie Review
As the film where (then) the up-and-coming hallyu action star Ji Chang-wook debuted as a lead actor, Fabricated City shows enough crisp fight scenes and heart-pumping setup to match what the usual revenge thriller films serve. Power play, deceit, and the intent to be proven innocent are a few of the main themes that propel this film’s plot.
Fabricated City exhibits remarkable resemblance to the premise of most character-driven online videogames – in order to achieve a mission, they must work as a team. All throughout the movie, action, and video game enthusiasts will surely be entertained most especially with satisfying framing of high-tech surveillance and fight scenes. A couple of lightly heated scenes were matched with laidback musical scoring that serves as breathers to the film’s rapid-fire progression. Despite the Fabricated City’s seemingly snappy plot, it still manages to portray few well-built characters although there is a lack of character development.
One can note how subtly this film shows annotations towards not only South Korea’s but to Asian countries’ surprisingly modern view of where the underprivileged stands among the country’s elites. Paired with the pressure from the media, anything could be manipulated from a simple video clip to a trial’s verdict.
[Story Relay] Tickled Pink
[Story Relay] Tickled Pink
A little walkthrough. I wrote a simple writing prompt on the 21st of December last year and sent it via Facebook Messenger to a good friend who is a writer (and a fellow Potterhead 🐍 as well) she replied with an added story to the prompt. I replied back with another one and it became a story relay. I had a fun time writing this with my friend within just a couple of hours. So here is the unedited…
