Edit: so we've had a few people join and then leave — not that that's an issue! — so I feel the need to explain how to get verified if that has been or is a problem for anyone. Another edit: heads up, our mod team gets inactive at times, meaning the verification process can get rather slow. Additionally, if you're likely to just up and leave, maybe don't join the server; I don't mean to vague anybody, but we've had people do that and it causes me slight to moderate stress when people just… leave.

Passing is not an obligation btw and whether or not you’re passing as cis does not make you more or less trans. If you’re not interested in passing, you’re valid and great. If you’re not able to pass currently but plan to, you’re valid and great. If you’re not able to pass at all because of whatever reason and you won’t be able in the future, you’re valid and great. You aren’t doing “too little”, you aren’t “not trying hard enough”. There’s no getting A+ in being trans. You’re fine, you’re great, you’re valid.

This is your reminder that telling rural queers to move to bigger cities or different countries because they are often more "queer friendly" is not a solution. There will always be queer people in rural towns, and not all of us want to leave our small towns.
