For the pride series this year I’m only doing canon rep since I’m doing 11 pieces instead of 30 (hopefully I’ll be able to finish it that way 😭) and I’ve tried to make everyone from a different piece of media

True but Izzy isn't even the only disabled main character, Lucius and Spanish Jackie are both also amputees who are living about as happy lives as you can get as a pirate, Black Pete has a cleft palate and Ed wears a leg brace

It's good to be aware of bigotry in media but honestly I just don't think it applies here because Izzy isn't the only representation of any particular group in the show, not by a long shot

Gentle reminder;

Burying your gays as a trope doesn't apply to media where literally every character is queer and only one of them dies

That's just called regular character death

The 40’s superman radio show honestly has so many jokes that still hold up, this is more or less an exact interaction from one of the episodes
