Sorry I've been busy recently! But I did manage to design this OC girlie:
Lucy (the Metropolitan Engine)
She's the result of a team effot by Gresley and H. G. Ivatt to create an improved version of the LNER K3, who would eventually lead Gresley to develop the LNER K4. After completion, she was kept by Ivatt to work on the LMS railway with her crimson coat before eventually ending up on Sodor to stay.
She can come off as a bit snooty from the outside, but is a kind and hardworking engine who tries to befriend others. She doesn't care much for competing against others or trying to bargain off unpleasant jobs, but gets overly emotional if another engine is mean to her.
I want to do some more technical drawings at some point, so I'll add more info about her then!
James And Henry Get Stuck In A Tunnel
TTTE Fanfic. 4000ish words. Mild referenced angst for both characters. Top 10 James and Henry friendship moments. Not really sure why i wrote this, but i like the vibes.
Shape-shifting trains style AU. Talks of gold dust as part of that. Once again, as always, chock full of headcanons. Their ‘human’ forms are my own designs.

James had managed to come squealing to a halt just in time to save him and the train from smashing into what looked to be a brand new dirt wall.
Henry had barely slammed on his brakes as well at James’ frantic whistling, and was calling from the back of the train.
“Blast this damn weather,” James grumbled to himself, closing his eyes and concentrating, letting a soft golden-reddish glow surround him, his form shifting until his wheels changed to feet, and he stretched tall, shivering in the cold dankness of the tunnel. The smell of freshly turned earth was overwhelming.
The weather had been raging all day, but he and Henry had still been sent to fetch an important goods train on the other side of the island. And, well, James had notices going into this tunnel on the way there that the soil over the entrance looked loose. And now it seemed he was right (and usually he loved being right, but right now he was kicking himself) and that the terrible, terrible weather had caused a landslide, and had sealed the tunnel off.
James began to walk down the train, past trucks and trucks and trucks, until he reached Henry, still in his engine form, who met James’ grim expression with wide eyes.
“What’s wrong?”
“Tunnel’s blocked off,” James said curtly, looking around the dim cavern, shivering despite himself. “There was a mudslide. I’m going to go check if we can back out of here.”
As soon as James said ‘blocked off’, Henry’s face had dropped.
“…Oh.”
“You can stay here if you like-,” James turned back to see Henry also shift, the tunnel lighting up golden green before falling into moody dimness as Henry took a moment to roll his shoulders, shaking off the sparkling gold dust, before turning to James with an expression the red engine could only describe as anxious.
“I’ll come with you.”
“Okay,” James agreed, because Henry really left no room for argument.

Percy: -sitting in the Flight Lounge at Tidmouth Space Station- "You know Thomas, I heard from Salty that hundreds of years ago back on Earth, Humans used to do what we do today but using things called locomotives."
Thomas: -drinking liquid tritium from a cup while at the table with Percy- "Locomotives? What's that supposed to be?"
Percy: -shrugs- "Beats me, but Salty told me Humans used them all the time way back in the 19th and 20th centuries."
Edward: -passing by he overhears the Cadet's conversation- "Are you two talking about steam locomotives?"
Thomas: -nods- "Yeah. Have you heard of them?"
Edward: -steps up to the table and crosses his arms with a warm smile- "I sure have. Never seen one myself of course, but I learned quite a bit about Human industry in my years. You see Steam Locomotives were once used by Humans to transport goods, same way we use our Starships. These old machines would move on rails and required coal and water to function."
Thomas: -snorts- "Sounds super inefficient."
Percy: "Well it was hundreds of years ago, Thomas. I think it's pretty cool!"
Thomas: -leans back in his seat- "I don't know, I can't imagine a world without Pilots and our Starships. I mean could you imagine operating one of these steam locomotives?"
Edward: -gentle laugh- "Well then just be thankful that you're a Pilot and not a Train."

I honestly cannot believe this blog and my TTTE art has reached 1,000. I’m gonna get a little sappy now, because it’s just...crazy to me that this many people enjoy my doodles. I started doing humanised Thomas and Friends after people loved my version of Thomas, who I designed primarily for a story me and my sister created. He got so popular that I figured why not draw up my favourite character at the time, James. And it all went from there. At some point I figured doing an ask blog instead of just posting them on deviantART would be a better idea, and let me interact with people a little better.
And years later, here we are. It’s been a bit of a journey for me, I continued to draw a little, come back, draw a little, come back, eventually I started to hate the fandom and drawing TTTE and wanted to stop all together for reasons a lot of people who followed me from the very beginning know. Just a few months ago I came back in, reconnected with the fandom which I never could really fit into before, and made so many amazing new friends, and genuinely found a little place in this community. I feel so fucking lucky.
The reason I began to draw humanised Thomas and Friends and continue to is because it was a huge part of my childhood, it was a cast of characters that inspired the little me and made me feel like it was ok to like what I did, and be proud of who I was. It will always have a special place in my heart.
I was planning to release some sticker designs on RedBubble when I hit 1,000, but it came so quickly and I got distracted with so many other things that we’re here now and holy fuck— I’m still going to make stickers and a few other things, and I’ll be setting the prices to the lowest possible level, I won’t make any profit on them, I just thought it would be fun to put some designs out there for anyone who’s interested as a thank you.❤️
I feel like I gotta make a few shoutouts. (I don’t mean to miss anyone, some names tumblr can’t find and my memory is awful so please forgive me if I missed you!)
