Джереми Пол родился в 1954 году в Ланкашире. Он сделал успешную карьеру в области морской биологии, прежде чем стал профессиональным художником. Его работа в области морской биологии привела его к жизни в отдаленные и красивые районы Британских островов. Именно когда он жил на западном побережье Шотландии, он начал серьезно рисовать. Он полностью художник-самоучка, работающий исключительно акрилом.

Jeremy Paul was born in 1954 in Lancashire. He had a successful career in marine biology before becoming a professional artist. His work in marine biology took him to remote and beautiful areas of the British Isles. It was while he was living on the west coast of Scotland that he began painting seriously. He is a completely self-taught artist, working exclusively in acrylics.

The artist now lives with his wife and two children on the Isle of Man, and before that he traveled extensively to India, Africa, North America, and most recently Antarctica and the Arctic. Jeremy has had many solo exhibitions. His work is in the collection of the Woodson Art Museum in the USA and Nature in Art, the International Wildlife Art Center in Gloucester, UK, where he is part of their artist residency program. The artist publishes his own series of prints depicting wildlife in limited and open editions. His paintings have also been reproduced on a number of postage stamps dedicated to wildlife. And in 2013, a book of his paintings with birds was published.

Меня зовут Ровина Кай, я люблю иллюстрировать истории из мифологии и сказок, смешивать мрачные образы с красивыми. Большую часть работ я создаю в жанре фэнтези/научной-фантастики. Прежде чем стать иллюстратором, я изучала графический дизайн, и до сих пор люблю барахтаться в богемных вещах.

Но когда я закончила учиться, я не обнаружила сообществ иллюстраторов или каких-нибудь курсов в Австралии, поэтому я пошла на факультет графического дизайна. Только перед окончанием университета, я попала на конференцию по дизайну и услышала, как пара иллюстраторов разговаривают о своей работе, меня это очень вдохновило и я решила добиться своей мечты, насколько бы трудной она не была. Я поняла, что иллюстрация — это то, чем я действительно хочу заниматься."

" My name is Rovina Kai, I love to illustrate stories from mythology and fairy tales, mixing dark images with beautiful ones. Most of my work is in the fantasy/sci-fi genre. I studied graphic design before becoming an illustrator, and I still love dabbling in bohemian things.

But when I finished studying, I didn't find any illustrator communities or courses in Australia, so I went to graphic design. Just before graduating from university, I went to a design conference and heard a couple of illustrators talking about their work, I was very inspired and decided to achieve my dream, no matter how difficult it was. I realized that illustration is what I really want to do."

Lavender fields of Turkey - Kuyucak village.

Самые красивые лавандовые поля Турции находятся в идиллической деревне Куюджак в провинции Испарта (Ыспарта), которая расположена в юго-западной части страны, между Памуккале и Анталией. 

 Упоминания об этой деревни известны с 1315 года, однако лавандой здесь начали заниматься в 1975 году. Изначально выращивание лаванды было обычным хобби для 30 семей проживающих в деревне. На сегодняшний день масштабы просто огромные, размер всех лавандовых полей достигает 300 гектаров. Лаванда начинает цвести с середины июня и цветет примерно месяц, а пик цветения приходится на 15-20 июля, в эти дни происходит сбор цветов. В основном здесь выращивают лаванду сорта Лавандин, она ценится за высокие ароматные качества.

После сбора урожая часть лаванды перерабатывается в масло для использования в косметике, а часть сушится для продажи различным фирмам по всей стране. Конечно, для посетителей также есть множество лавандовых покупок, в том числе вкусный лавандовый мед, лавандовый чай, сушеная лаванда, лавандовое масло, лавандовый тоник и лавандовое мыло.

Turkey's most beautiful lavender fields are located in the idyllic village of Kuyucak in the province of Isparta (Isparta), which is located in the southwestern part of the country, between Pamukkale and Antalya.

АНЕМОНОВЫЙ ФАРФОРОВЫЙ КРАБ (Neopetrolisthes ohshimai, Neopetrolisthes maculatus) или фарфоровый пятнистый краб.

Данный вид краба имеет неболь­ш­ие размеры около 2. 5 см.Что касается его названия, то на этот счет существует две версии. Первая гласит, что фарфоровыми крабами их назвали потому, что они чрезвычайно хрупкие, а такие части тела, как ноги и клешни, легко отламываются.Вторая указывает на белый цвет тела и конечностей краба, которые напоминают фарфор.

Анемоновый фарфоровый краб относится к организмам – фильтрат­­орам, он поглощает планктон из воды. Эти крабы территориаль­­ные хищники. Они об­ы­чно встречаются па­ра­ми среди актиний.Данный вид крабов пр­оявл­яет агрессивные дейс­твия по отноше­нию к другим видам ракообр­азных, сопост­авимых по размерам тела, но не атакует более кр­упных особей. Анемон­овые фарфор­овые крабы защищают свою терр­иторию так­же от рыб, которые появляются среди акти­ний в поис­ках пищи. Обычно рыбы – клоуны плавают стаями и, хотя они не очень аг­рессивные, анемоновые крабы нап­адают на конкурентов. 

Анемоновый фарфоровый краб распространяе­­тся по побережью Ти­х­ого и Индийского оке­анов. Краб обитает в сим­­биозе с актинией, он держится или на ка­м­енистом субстрате, или среди щупалец ане­мона, который зах­ват­ывает мелкую рыб­у, червей, рачков. Хотя этот вид крабов присп­особ­ился обитать и без анемона- среди ка­мней и кораллов.

ANEMONE PORCELAIN CRAB (Neopetrolisthes ohshimai, Neopetrolisthes maculatus) or porcelain spotted crab. This type of crab has a small size of about 2.5 cm. As for its name, there are two versions on this matter. The first says that they were named porcelain crabs because they are extremely fragile, and body parts such as legs and claws break off easily. The second indicates the white color of the crab's body and limbs, which resemble porcelain.

The anemone porcelain crab is a filter feeder; it absorbs plankton from the water. These crabs are territorial predators. They are usually found in pairs among sea anemones. This type of crab exhibits aggressive actions towards other species of crustaceans of comparable body size, but does not attack larger individuals. Anemone porcelain crabs also defend their territory from fish that appear among the sea anemones in search of food. Typically, clownfish swim in schools and, although they are not very aggressive, anemone crabs attack competitors.

The anemone porcelain crab is distributed along the coast of the Pacific and Indian oceans. The crab lives in symbiosis with sea anemone; it rests either on a rocky substrate or among the tentacles of an anemone, which captures small fish, worms, and crustaceans. Although this type of crab has adapted to live without anemone, among stones and corals.

На Куршской косе можно увидеть хвойный лес, стволы которого петляют причудливыми зигзагами. Этот лес здесь прозвали «танцующим». Он расположен на 37-й км косы, в 4-х км севернее поселка Рыбачий и имеет общую протяженность - 1,2 км.

Загадочным танцующий лес был всегда. Со времён основания в 1961 году о причудливой достопримечательности было сложено множество легенд. Кто-то считает, что изогнутые деревья – это силуэты молодых ведьм, внезапно застывших на века во время магического танца. Другая версия гласит что давным-давно князь Бартий влюбился в прекрасную девушку Прединию. Он предложил ей выйти за него замуж, но преградой для влюбленных стала их вера. Князь был язычником, а Прединия христианкой. Бартий согласился принять новую веру, если красавица сможет доказать величие её Бога. Девушка начала играть на арфе. Деревья затанцевали, в один миг остановившись. В таком положении они замерли на века. Спустя годы изогнутые деревья появились на поляне.

Учёные, беспристрастны и в магию не верят, но также пытаются найти объяснение таинственному явлению. По их мнению, причиной искривления могла стать подвижность песков, резкие смены направлений ветра, перепады температур или нашествие гусениц бабочек побеговьюна зимующего, которые повреждают молодые побеги сосен.

Scientists are impartial and do not believe in magic, but they are also trying to find an explanation for the mysterious phenomenon. In their opinion, the cause of the curvature could be the mobility of sands, sharp changes in wind directions, temperature changes, or the invasion of wintering shoot moth caterpillars, which damage young shoots of pine trees.

Чешский художник Мирко Ханак (Mirko Hanak), вдохновленный китайской живописью се-и, смог с любовью перенести восточную эстетику в изображение лесных животных своей родной Чехии.

Мирко Ханак родился в 1921 году и работал как иллюстратор, участвуя в оформлении детских книг (например, «Бемби») и книг, посвященных охране окружающей среды.

Художник, изображая всех пушистых и пернатых, сумел заострить и выразить их характеры так, что невозможно не поверить в одушевленность нескольких пятен краски на бумаге.

Czech artist Mirko Hanak, inspired by Chinese Xi-yi painting, has lovingly brought Eastern aesthetics to the forest animals of his native Czech Republic.

Mirko Hanak was born in 1921 and worked as an illustrator, participating in the design of children's books (for example, Bambi) and books on environmental protection.
