Wish Bearer of the Black Garden
Chat, would it be possible for an Ahamkara to use their own Wish when meeting their death in a way that transforms their bones into that of a mortal in the hopes that someday they'll be revived as they once were by a Ghost? But instead they end up awakening in the body of a human and losing all their memories, yet having an eerie sensation that Something Is Inside Of Them?
They first enter the Tower and as they walk around they get an instinctual chill upon seeing the amount of Guardians. A sharp exhale escapes them when they notice the skull of a familiar creature on a Warlock's head. A pit forms in their gut as they find themselves staring at the spine of a young 'Wish Dragon' along a Hunter's forearm?
And the voices. They grow accustomed to others warning of the power of the bones. But to them, it's not overbearing bargaining or lies that could drive any Lightbearer mad. It's whispers. Quiet pleas of their last moments that they'd never admit to if they were alive today. The souls recognize their presence, not their Lightbearer shell. Where others hear temptations, they hear melodies of longing. To feel the caress of life upon their bones again.
And as this Guardian stands in a field—a gravesite—full of these bones, they drop their weapon, curl up in one of the large skulls, and weep. For where their flesh feels unwelcome, their bones join the choruses of a lost home.

Tripore: no. Their wish magic is dangerous and you already have some Ahamkara bones.
Bubo: but they're not cute! 😭😭😭

Oh gosh. I really hope this is why cayde is around in the Final Shape. Honestly it would be an interesting reason for Cayde to be back.
But if Crow gets his wish, I wonder what the consequences will be of it this time? Maybe this is why Cayde is only in the Traveler. Will Cayde actually lead us in the right direction towards the witness? I know Bungie is marketing it as, "hey guys, hang out with your vanguard buddies one more time!" But perhaps Cayde will lead us astray. Or perhaps Cayde is fine as a ghost and some other thing will be messed up now. I guess we have seven months to see.
Also, poor Crow. He's probably not gonna trust Mara or himself with this new manipulation.
Unforseen Consequences exotic ship lore. Welp. I think this more or less solves why Cayde is in the portal. It might not just be the Traveler reconstructing our journey. It's because Crow wished for it. He is clearly not talking to real Mara here, and instead it's an Ahamkara apparition, mimicking how Uldren spoke to the same. It literally says that "the illusion fades" and then she invokes anthem anatheme.
We know Crow will get his wish. However. What will be the unforseen consequences.
I love the season pass banners. They're always so pretty. Also, I must point out the hunter knife that is wedged into the table that Eris is working at. I love little reminders that she is indeed a hunter lol.
