oh man i just went to Florida for a week, here's what i noticed:
I saw an Amtrak train
The stoplights are colored black
It rains harder
Thunder is more of a Crack and less of a Rumble like it is where I live
i also went on a train for the first time that was fun :)
oh did i mention i saw an Amtrak train? it only passed by but still!

If tumblr was a train, it would be blue and full of fucking idiots as passengers
I am BEGGING for an open-world game with a functioning train or tram.
Like, you actually have to wait for it in real-time, physically step on, then wait for your stop with the ability to actually explore it and chat with the other riders
No loading screens
And when you aren’t on it, you can look over and see it doing its route without you, picking up and dropping off patrons whether you’re there or not
please i need a video game that captures the joy of free public transit

I’m so excited for the cheese tray on the Amtrak train. Literally my favorite travel snack and I look forward to getting it every time.

they definitely aren’t the most popular pick being electric new gen power but they’re my favorite and i think they continue the legacy of locos that ran on the northeast corridor beautifully
they’re just such silly guys i love seeing them speed by
I love passing the dried salt flats on the train. I look out my window and hello, dearest puddle. The puddle replies “oh don’t mind me! ‘Tis merely I, red puddle of several gallons. Don’t I look so pretty against the white ground?”
they’re not actually Amtrak. Which makes it even funnier
I was so astronomically high when I asked that. You could’ve told me my feet were made of glue and I’d’ve believed you. I just saw Amtrak and I remembered how much it threw me off when the trains changed schedule and I just felt compelled to ask. That is all I remember of that interaction.
Come on, let them have the budget for like 5 min.
Don't worry, You can trust me with the city budget, just let me in there. Come on, just let me have the budget. I will totally not gut the police budget to build a centralized mass transit network and new libraries. I will definitely not do that, just let me in there please. Come on let me have access to the city budget for 5 minutes. That's all I ask.
