Hi, my niece is currently fundraising for a service dog due to her multiple disabilities (EDS, POTS, CRPS and more) that limit her mobility and regular everyday function. She is going through the nonprofit organization 4 Paws for Ability. The total cost for a service dog is $20,000 but sadly it is not covered by health insurance. We obviously don’t have that kind of money to pay out of pocket. Please take a few minutes to read her story, share, or donate!! Anything is much appreciated!

I need urgent help - I'll try to keep this brief.
My levels of hand pain have gotten so bad that being on the computer for more than fifteen minutes is agony, and it's agony that I don't have a choice about wading through because I'm largely housebound and everything I can do involves my hands and usually my computer. I can't work like this. I can't write. Once the pain gets bad enough each day I'm trapped unable to do much of anything because I can only wade so much each day.
Waiting to be called to go get a nerve test done - but in the meantime, I need to do what I can. And right now, that means asking for help. I found a keyboard that will drastically reduce my pain levels based on my testing. Not just in my hands either, but in my arms entirely, and in my shoulder/collarbone as well. It'll give me the freedom to socialize again, instead of trying to use every scrap of time I have grasping for any kind of work and knowing I won't be able to get it on my own. It won't solve everything about my setup - but it's the biggest hurdle in the way and the biggest pain reducer.
So I'm asking for help - every donation counts, and every reblog does as well. I'm running this fundraiser on both ko-fi and gofundme, so if you have anything to spare or a reblog to share - please help this black, disabled, and queer creator get back to …living, and creating too.

i am a houseless young non binary person in the state of texas where there's not only anti abortion laws but anti trans law as well. while i work i am paid poorly and am currently looking for a better place of work. i stay in a hotel when i can afford it. i cannot go back to my hometown because i have an obsessive father who has come all the way to a different state before to knock on my door and harass me. my mother's house isn't an option either because she is bipolar and becomes violent when she is unmedicated.
as a visibly queer afro indigenous person who still wears their mask every time i'm in public i get targeted and discriminated against in work and social settings. this was surprising to me too. texas is religiously anti mask. no one down here even thinks to accommodate for immunocompromised people. there's a lot of places that have rejected my applications in a few hours because of my ethnic sounding name. this state is a hell hole.
i am actually hoping to relocate after a short lease if i can raise enough funds. i will need funds for temp housing (private room or motel) and deposit and move in fees.
i am hoping to raise about $3500 total towards this. even meeting half of the goal would help me out with move in. please share this far and wide i dont want to end up on the streets again.

So... I hate asking for help, its one of my big ol'nasty flaws- but I need to get out of Florida. I got accepted into my dream college and am planning on moving to Maryland to pursue art and to get out of this god awful and increasingly dangerous state. All things considered, I don't want him making the 2900 mile drive by himself. So the goal is to make sure I can fly out to him first, and then we drive in his car from one side of the country to the other. There's a small buffer to also help cover the leave without pay that I'll have to take from work for this.

We're still rallying to get stuff together, and would be honored by any further donations. Even getting us to and even $1000 would mean we could afford to stay in at least one motel during the drive instead of sleeping in the car the whole time. And we'd certainly appreciate having access to a shower for at least one night ^^;;
