Hello hello everyone! I’ve finally caved in and joined tumblr, I have not a darn clue how to use this app really, but anywho; I’m an Artist with a huge hyperfixation on BG3, not sure what to do for my first post so here’s some of my favorite recent drawings and sketches! (plus some WIPs!) Hope this reaches the right audience lol.

My friend asked me to make a bg3 rizz tier list. This is so dumb but I had to. I tried to make it as accurate as I felt to my interpretations of the characters (because I’m obviously objectively correct /j)

Hello Gortnation; I humbly present to y’all, my latest Portrait of Lord Enver Whoretash. I’m turning this design into a keychain as well!

I finally got around to finishing it and I’m so very happy with the result!

Turns out the only way to keep yourself out of artblock is drawing your favorite blorbo repeatedly. ✨

Anyways keychains of canon Durge will hopefully be finished next so we can have keychains of the murderbfs

@beecreeper Hii, Yes they are!!! I’ve been quite fond of the headcanon/association of forget-me-nots with Gortash & Durge, so I try to sneakily include them in most Gortash illustrations I do! I also included them in my very first Gortash drawing, as seen here!

With this, I’d also like to showcase the other small details on this keychain design.

As adorned with the Forget-Me-Nots, The golden hand in the center is supposed to be the Symbol of bane. While bane’s symbol is usually drawn in black, Gold is very much Gortash’s color, so I went with that stylistic choice instead; as well as including Gortash’s netherstone in the center of the hand, to somewhat mimic how Gortash keeps his netherstone on his hand. I thought it was a fun little detail to include.

And as I’ve mentioned previously, I plan to make a series of BG3 keychains with this similar side profile style and having an item or symbol of some sort underneath them that represents the character or is tied to the character in some form or fashion. It’s a fun idea that I can’t wait to get to work on the rest of the planned keychains!

Here’s some of my other planned keychain portrait designs I have in mind. (I’m Very much picking favorites in terms of order/which ones I plan to draw next.

• Durge with blood drips and the Bhaal symbol underneath him

• Rolan with either the wizard symbol under him or a thunder wave symbol, I haven’t decided yet!

• Cambion Raphael with an infernal contract, or theatrical masks below.

• Human Raphael with a poem/letters or a mouse.

• Kar’niss praying to Lolth, surrounded by lolth candles and the moon lantern at the bottom. (Very excited to design this one in particular, Kar’niss doesn’t get enough love!)

• Ketheric with the Myrkul symbol

• Probably will do an Orin & Bhaal design as well, simply to complete the trio.

• Halsin with a Bear paw symbol

• Zevlor with the paladin/hellriders symbol

• Dammon with an anvil/forge themes

- I also plan to try and figure out design ideas for all of the companions, but these are all the ones I have in mind so far! I’ll keep y’all updated as I work on these keychain ideas. :)

I already have WIPs/Sketches for both the Rolan and Durge keychains, so those will be finished next!

That moment when all you wanna draw is Durgetash & other Ship art, but you have an art contest submission to do, Convention prep aka Keychains, & other owed art to finish first. Sigh, so much to do and so little time to be self indulgent. 😔

I love my villains evil, but I also love my soft self indulgent aus where are villains get to be happy and turn their lives around for good, I have a few self indulgent soft Gortash aus and versions of my evil ocs for this reason lol it’s just sweet and fun 💖💖💖

I love this trope too no matter how corny it is

Does anyone else have an unhealthy obsession with fics/stories where the most evil of dudes gets turned good because the 🌸 power of love 🌸? I know usually it's the most corny thing, but I adore it.

That bully realizes the person they've been bullying is the most kind individual and changes for the better. The villain is brought to the good side with promises of friendship and compassion that's genuinely fulfilled when they do. A tyrant with immense power willing to give it all up just because someone held out there hand and showed them the beauty of the world.

Give us these gorgeous evil people and let them be convinced to be good through romance!

What is it?

A week-long event celebrating Baldur’s Gate’s shortest reigning and only Archduke. 

When is it?

22nd July - 28th July 2024

Where can I find the prompts?

On THIS handy graphic!

What do I need to do to participate?

Simple - create! Use either both or one of the prompts to create something involving Gortash as the main focus of the piece. Then, when the time comes, simply upload your piece/s on the corresponding day using the tag “#gortashweek” so I can reblog it here for the world to see! Closer to the time I will make a collection on AO3 so fanfics can all be neatly organised and in one place.

What can I create?

All artforms are welcome here, from digital art to 3D art to fanfics to creating a shrine in the middle of the forest! (Please do not disturb the wildlife, no matter how much you think it would appease the Archduke.)

If you create it, it’s welcome!

No AI “creations” will be tolerated. If you are caught using AI for anything, you will be rounded up by the Steel Watch and brought in for eternal imprisonment. 

Any limitations?

None at all! The prompts are designed to be vague enough to allow complete freedom all while sticking closely to things related to Gortash. Take these prompts and run with them!

Both SFW and NSFW creations are allowed.

Posts, when reblogged here, will be tagged correctly so that if there’s any content you don’t want to see you can filter it out.

PLEAAAAASE I thought I was the only one who liked soft durgetash, I love both versions and think they’re a fair mix of both, but I’m insane over soft durgetash. Like, with my durge and gortash, they both went through literal hell together, were both outcasted by everyone in their life- but found solace in each other. They’re each other’s safe space pretty much, and I love them so much. They’re also the usual chaotic Durgetash dynamic, but they’re also super soft and sweet with each other 💖💖💖

I need to draw Nev and Gortash at some point.

I wish there were more Durgetash fans who liked them softer. I'm not knocking those who want them full-blast evil and ruling Faerun because that is fun to imagine. But, am I the only one who doesn't buy Durge as a feral animal? Or Gortash as a completely irredeemable waste of flesh?

Eh, I probably am.

I just... I think the Gortash we get in-game is not the same person that he was with Durge, and truth be told, many Durge 'facts' are highly debatable as facts at all. What if they really were good together? And not in a 'I'll hold them while you gut them sort of way.' In a 'holy Hells, THIS is what it feels like to be happy' sort of way.

Yup, just me being crazy over here.

Some Gortash headcanons for the fics I'm writing...

Gortash is older than much of the fandom that ship him like to think. I've given him a birthdate since Larian failed to do so: the 6th of Alturiak, 1447 DR, making him 45 years old during the events of Baldur's Gate 3.

Gortash wasn't a 'hateful child.'

Highly intelligent children have special needs, even when they aren't neurodivergent with insecure emotional attachment, which he was/is. I see him as on the spectrum and extremely high masking. I think he was told to shut up enough times shortly after he learned to talk that he went almost completely non-verbal for a while, and his parents didn't notice or care. When he stopped talking as much, he got into more trouble because he went looking for answers to the questions he wasn't allowed to ask. He started talking more after years of watching Raphael make people magically do what he wanted, sonetimes using nothing more than words.

Gortash can NOT handle rejection.

There are no instances in-game of Gortash being needlessly cruel, of his actions having NO purpose other than the suffering they cause. There are two in which he is excessively cruel, however, and based on the first one I mention, I suspect the second had a similar motivation. His parents rejected him completely, sent him away, and he sentenced them to a fate worse than death. They were probably not happy when he returned, deepening the rejection. They still have a use, promoting him, but Sally is trapped inside her own mind, while Dravo is just a shell.

The other instance of him doing something 'with extreme prejudice' is the Gondians. He's horrible to them, wants them unhappy about everything he has them doing. For this reason, I think that brilliant little boy with a penchant for tinkering dreamed of being a Gondian one day. I think he kept that dream all the way through his enslavement at the House of Hope, and when he was finally free, he tried to join them. And they refused. They rejected him, so he doesn't just use them for his purposes, he ensures that they suffer, too.
