I just started reading Republic Commando Order 66 & Ordo Skirata is my absolute favorite. All his scenes are so unintentionally funny. Like the dude intercepts a government spy tailing Besany, roasts him for being a pervert, hacks into his system, decides he's too dangerous to be left alive, shoots him in the cab in front of her, drives her home, offers to cook her favorite meal, realizes she's in shock cause he shot a guy in front her & is like "oh you're afraid of me" I'll get you coffee instead, then decides this is the right time to propose with an insanely valuable piece of jewelry that his sergeant stole from a bank, apologizes that he can't buy her something legit cause the army doesn't pay him & says "good glad that's sorted" when she accepts. Like WTF

Reading the Cestus Deception and that scene in the fresher where they're juggling soap...aksjdndj they're all so bbg. Also, Nate walks around & sleeps naked 🫦 And I can't with these descriptions of how perfectly toned they all are... "surprisingly dexterous fingers?" OML stop 🥵 (don't stop)

Echo & Fives are just as chaotic as the Nulls and I love them bc of that. They would make Mereel & Jaing so proud

I see a lot of posts about Domino Twins causing chaos in the 501st and while that's awesome, it's also during a time where Fives is just a little rebellious and chaotic and Echo is basically the responsible one.

No, consider: Present Day AU where Fives is alive and joins the Clone Rebellion. Like, you cannot tell me that ARC Trooper "I almost foiled a galaxy-wide 5d chess masterplan of an insanely powerful evil space wizard" Fives and ARC Trooper "I am the Revolution, God himself cannot kill me and I know all of your search histories" Echo would not be menaces to society on an unprecedented scale of Domino Twins insanity. Dave Filoni tore them apart because they would be too powerful together after their character arcs.

Fives would team up with his twin brother shortly after their heartfelt reunion, remembering Echo as a by-the-book stickler for rules who is 95% of both Fives' damage and impulse control. And Fives comes up with a batshit plan to infiltrate a highly fortified imperial prison, puts his hand on Echo's shoulder and goes "Little brother, I know you're not going to like this but we're going to have to resort to drastic measures for this mission." And Echo looks him dead in the eyes, nods and goes "I agree. We're going to have to assassinate the Emperor."

And Fives just shoots Rex a slightly concerned, questioning look. Rex just shrugs. "The Bad Batch radicalized him."

Rex has no control over them. Fives is like "You know how you told us to not act on impulse and consult you about plans first?"

Rex's expression darkens. "What. did. you. do?" and Fives goes "okay so Echo hacked into the computer on Tarkins ship and pulled up the chat backups of him and Admiral Rampart- did you know the latter has a shrine for Echo's former squadmate Crosshair?- anyway, we published Tarkins plans for invasion and also the porn he downloaded on his datapad to the holonet and now the citizens are calling for his beheading."

Rex just looks at Echo like "you let him talk you into this?" and Fives goes "Huh? This was Echo's idea!"

Echo: The invasion plans were my idea. Fives added... the rest.

Fives: Oh, Echo we should probably tell him about the space horse.

Rex: The what-

Ordo, one of the Null ARCs, shoots a government spy that had been following his gf right in front of her. And then he's like 'oh you're upset, let me cook you your favorite meal' and she's like 'no, you just killed a man, I can still smell his singed flesh, I'm not hungry' so he's like 'duh, of course. Let me make us some coffee. Also, what are your thoughts on marriage, here's a priceless ring my sergeant stole when we robbed a bank... sorry I couldn't get you something legit but clones don't get paid"

Also, they met when he was pretending to be another trooper she worked with, but she figures it out and does something that threatens to mess up their covert special ops mission, so he stuns her & they kidnap her & she starts working for them & it sounds insane but they're such a cute couple.

Do you think the clones had to take a “how to be a normal human being in society” class in order to somewhat be able to seem like normal in non military settings or do they just wing it and hope for the best?

Nah vod all clones have rizz. Rizz is the ability to attract someone and clones just naturally attract people by virtue of the fact that they're hot heroes of the Republic.

They're fit, smart, incredibly skilled, principled, and super loyal elite soldiers, which is more than you can say for most men. And it certainly doesn't hurt that they're clones of Jango Fett who's a good looking mf.

They might not all be assertive & confident in social situations, but that doesn't matter because all of their other qualities are insanely attractive.

Just look at Tech. Out of the Batch, Tech is easily the one who has the hardest time navigating social interactions & regardless, Phee's interested. It doesn't matter that he's awkward or on the spectrum, or completely missing all her hints...she knows he's a great guy, he's fit & handsome...nat rizz

Wrecker's another good example. Half his face is scarred, he's a total man child but women flirt with him anyway. In the episode when they get back from Raxus, as they walk into Cid's & the Batch is watching Omega kick ass at Dejarik, he eyes up and smiles at the girl next to him. She gives him a cute side-eye and smiles flirtily back. It's super brief, but it's there.

Crosshair is a standoffish grump who actively antagonizes people, but he gets Ventress of all people to take his hand when he offers it to climb on to the ship. He also has that Pabu fisherwoman on standby if he were ever interested. Nat rizz.

Same in Legends, most women just end up falling for troopers without them doing anything & no matter how awkward they are. Etain & Darman, Laseema & Atin, Besany & Ordo and Parja & Fi. This might be more a product of the writing than anything, but all of these women just fall for these men without them doing a single thing to try and attract them and often in spite of several things which would make women normally say "stay the hell away from me". And we, the readers, don't even question that because we're totally simping for them too.

The only exception are Mereel and Corr, who do go out of their way to pick up women and they score all the time. Omega squad estimates Mereel has slept with half the women in the galaxy or "at least half of the ones in the sector". And that's what happens when they are confident & assertive and do put in an effort.

Cause, like let's be honest, who says "ew no thanks" this guy.

I know for y'all's brainrot scenarios some of you like to imagine the clone troopers as these very assertive guys who'd sweep you off your feet but realistically given that they probably never got the normal human behaviors manual and in line with our lovely Fives saying "you never even met a girl", I like to think that very few of them actually have any rizz.

Here's what I think their responses would be if someone flirted with them at 79s:

Hunter: one of the only ones who responds properly. either turns them down nicely or flirts back, depending on if he's interested.

Echo: pretends he doesn't hear because of his headpiece. might get up and leave. genuinely glad when Phee flirts with Tech because for once in his fucking life it's not him.

Wrecker: yells "hell yeah" so loud that the whole bar hears it and then tries to excite the person about explosives

Tech: doesn't pick up on it, shares a fun little fact. still works though.

Crosshair: enters hissy cat mode. gets asked to dance and tells the person if they give him their hand they'll never get it back. glares at them like he wants them dead.

Fives: knocks something over or stumbles backwards and bumps into a comically large, slightly aggressive alien guy. potentially causes in a fire hazard.

Rex: just stares blankly for a while.

Emerie: responds "bless you" and then decides that's enough social interaction for today.

Hardcase: fingerguns.

Mayday: starts talking like a war veteran about the brothers he lost and all the terrible things he witnessed.

Howzer: apologizes. doesn't even really know what for.

I don't know the other clones that well, feel free to add on!

Trooper simps! Stop what you're doing & listen....there's a 'choose your own adventure' Clone Wars kids book where you're Plo Koon's padawan, you meet up with an Alpha ARC called Trantos & you both attempt to foil an evil Seppie scientist's plot... and among the various storylines you can choose are:

1) getting captured and Trantos saves you, bursting in, guns blazing w a detonite stick in his mouth

2) escaping a trap & and meeting up with his Nautolan bounty hunter side chick in an underwater city and persuading her to give you information

3) accidentally joining Dooku's training camp & fighting Asajj Ventress to protect him

4) getting mistankenly arrested by the Baran Do for bringing misfortune to their planet

5) ending up in a cantina and have your brains adled by a mysterious laser weapon

6) getting sucked into a black hole & ending up on a swamp planet that has nothing to do with the mission & a flower kills you...

There are more possible plot lines, but you get the idea. They're all bonkers and a ton of fun to read through. Depending on what you choose, Trantos is either this sassy ARC who's annoyed w your incompetence or your best friend in chaos.

It's a kids' book, so a very quick read and its hilarious. "Clone Wars: Dooku's Secret Army" 10/10

So I was rewatching CW S7 w the Batch & I noticed Jesse somersaults to take cover at one point, while everyone else just runs into the building. The Batch don't notice, but I imagine the first time he did that, Fives was like wtf vod

*Jesse does a jump & roll to take cover*

Fives: did you just... somersault?

Jesse: it's tactical

Fives: how is it tactical?

Jesse: you gotta keep em guessing

Fives: by doing gymnastics?

Jesse: it makes you a difficult target

Fives: *eyebrow raise*

Jesse: and I look cool doing it??

Fives: *ponders* actually, that was hella cool, up top
