"one minute!" you hear someone yell out from the party crowd. everyone was gathered in the living room, watching the clock displayed on the TV as it counts down the seconds till midnight.

he was standing next to you, his arm wrapped around your waist to keep you close so you don’t get lost in the crowd.

cheers grew, people starting a chant for the last 10 seconds of the countdown.

"3… 2… 1!"

NAGI

his bored eyes had been scanning everyone around before he feels your hand gently turn his head towards you. he makes brief eye contact with you before your lips are pressing against his in a deep kiss. he quickly melts into it, his own hand reaching up to tangle in your hair.

you pull away after a short moment, making him sigh softly in disappointment before he realizes you’re till surrounded by a crowd of people. he reluctantly lets go of you, letting you cheer happily along with everyone else while he simply watches.

"c'mon, sei, at least smile. it’s the new year!," you tease, bringing your hands up to pull at his cheeks. he hums lowly, allowing you to mess with his face as he simply stares at you, causing a giggle to leave your lips.

he takes a moment to admire you, his eyes scanning your happy face. you’ve always looked the best while you’re smiling, free spirited and not worried about a thing, he thinks.

your own contagious smile finally brings one to his lips as well, although it’s only a small one, nothing compared to your bright one. he doesn’t let you see it for long before he’s leaning down to brush his lips against yours once more.

"happy new year," he mumbles before connecting your lips.

BACHIRA

it’s clear you have the same idea as he turns to you expectingly, already leaning towards you to claim his kiss. you giggle before reaching up to hold both his cheeks, pressing your lips against his. he holds your waist, slightly bending your back with how deeply he’s kissing you.

you have to push his face away to get him to stop, not wanting him to get carried away in front of all these people. he makes a noise of disapproval, already trying to lean back in, his hands coming up to the back of your head to keep you in place.

"that was too short, one more," he mutters, his eyes trained on your lips as he kisses you again, this time much more passionately.

you feel his tongue swipe against your lip, and you almost part them before you remember where you are.

"bachira—" you murmur against his lips, causing him to pull back slightly with a pouty huff. "there’s people everywhere, y'know."

"so? i don’t care," he brushes off, but pauses when you shoot him a look. with a small pout, he finally backs off, pulling back slightly but letting his hands slide back to your waist.

"later, ok?" you mumble in promise, making him grin as he nods. he places one last kiss to your cheek before refocusing on the party.

Bachira doesn't even pretend to be subtle. Your hand looks pretty heavy, want him to hold it? You look cold- take his jacket. Hey, he brought too much money, he can pay for your stuff and his. He loves you, and best believe that he's going to show it off. You're one of the first people that he's opened up to, and you deserve to know how much he loves you.

Rin is kinda subtle. Subtle in the way that he doesn't outright say his feelings (bro it's Rin, why would he talk about his feelings 💀), but his actions really speaking for him. You got that dress that you were eyeing that was worth more than your house, he has no idea where you got that. You have three new Gucci bags? Where ever did they come from. Bachira has been begging you to go to his games as soon as you two started dating. He needs to show you off okay and win that bet that said he was lying about getting a girlfriend. When you're in the crowd, he goes from good to great, and if you're wearing his jersey, the other players don't stand a chance. Want to take the ball from him, okay, he's already dribbled circles around you and has scored three times 🤨. You guys want him to pass the ball 🤣🤣🤣. You're hilarious. His baby's here and he's even more of an egoist. When the game is over he grabs your hand and makes sure everyone knows that you're his.

Isagi doesn't want to tell you out right to come to his games but isn't subtle a out wanting you to come. He's left his jersey at your house and on your bed for three weeks in a row and always mentions how good you look in the outfit, be real. He loves you at this game so much. He swears that be plays better then he ever could. Nerves, out the window. Only thing he's nervous about is his baby not seeing how he's destroying you 😃. Rin doesn't want you at his games. Well, rephrasing that, be really wants you to come to his game but he refuses to ask you to come. When you come watch Isagi's game though, don't make him laugh. You're watching him. "Get out of that loser's jersey and take mine" He declares. He takes the jersey off his back, and hands it to you. He's showing of just for you. Sae doesn't care whether or not you come to his games. He's going to win anyways, so who cares if you watch the game live or are in stadium. He would actually prefer you stay home anyways. Bachira sinks into denial. Of course you would end up with Isagi. His best friend spoils and loves you. He doesn't play around with your emotions the way he used to. He takes you seriously, respects and adores you the way you deserve. He supports your relationship completely. He sinks his nails so deep into his skin that it leaves behind red crest marks, lips swollen because of how deep his teeth are sinking into them, and his throat is closes, practically blocked out, but it's all fine. Ignore the red in his eyes. It's not a big deal.

Reo throws himself into a new relationship, who cares that you're now involved with Nagi. You guys dated for a bit and now you're over, you're allowed to be with other people. Nagi is one of his closest friends and he's so happy that you two are together. He's engaged, with a woman that's going to help his company prosper and give him political power. He doesn't need you anymore- doesn't even think of you. Forget the fact that he keeps his eyes on you throughout the entirety of his wedding. Rin throws himself into soccer. This is all he has now, he can't waste it. He aggravates his teammates, yells at fans, starts fights with referees because of how horribly violent he's become while playing. He gets injured, but he plays anyway. The pain doesn't matter. It's seeing you with Sae of all people that breaks him. His brother, prioritising something besides soccer and you looking so happy tears him apart. He can't do it anymore. He doesn't care if doing this much kills him. He can't handle all this pain.

Chigiri tries to take care of himself, but he's drowning in his sorrows. Nothing with him is the same. His clothes are a little ruffled, hairs are out of place, he's not the same person that he was before your breakup. You being with Kunigami makes him want to scream. the monster. obsessed with spray paint and loves decorating his car with it. bachira is terrible at being an artist. playful and cheerful outside, he holds amateur art performances for the crowd before races to get them pumped up. his gaze makes isagi flinch when he is told by the latter to quiet down. you can still hear the warning of staying close to someone you trust. he emits a dangerous aura, a strong first impression. bachira feels the same when he’s up at your face, studying you intensely.

𝄞༉‧₊˚. CHIGIRI HYOMA

the surge. the fastest racer in blue lock, securing victories at the speed of light. as chigiri approaches bachira to scold him for scaring newcomers, his beauty is so unreal that you don’t even realize you’ve been staring at him. he apologizes for his friend’s antics, justifying that he acts like this before a highly anticipated race. unfortunately, chigiri is not in this one due to a leg injury but luckily has someone helping him to stay in shape: an orange-haired racer waiting at the garage in his car.

𝄞༉‧₊˚. KUNIGAMI RENSUKE

the hero. kunigami has the highest endurance in blue lock, outlasting all racers in long-distance races. he acts like an older brother as he is very protective and solves issues in a civil manner, balancing out his friends’ hot-blooded personalities. kira trusts him enough to take you home as your best friend has matters to take care of. you thank kunigami for the ride and being nice to you. embarrassed, he says he’ll see you at the race and nothing else before zooming away.

𝄞༉‧₊˚. BAROU SHOUEI

the king. barou is the racer that kira complains about for as long as you can remember. he’s selfish and arrogant based on what you gathered so far from kira, claiming that the venue is his throne and the next race is his for the taking. his attitude fits your expectations; you already dislike him upon the first encounter. barou has the audacity to “claim” you as his prize when he wins this race. you’ll definitely follow kira’s advice to avoid him for sure when you see this guy again.

𝄞༉‧₊˚. MIKAGE REO

the heir. reo considers kira to be one of the best in the arena, besides his best friend, nagi, of course. a master of negotiations due to his status as the future chairman of a corporation, he hopes you will find his terms reasonable and collaborate with him as a business partner. but what he doesn’t expect is you playing hard to get. a pretty rich boy does deserve wild goose chase, making his pursuit exhilarating just like races at blue lock. nagi thinks that what he is doing is a waste of time.

𝄞༉‧₊˚. NAGI SEISHIRO

the genius. most people are happy with their achievements, but nagi does not care less as they’re essentially reo’s efforts. all he cares about are his video games and his cactus until you arrive to the arena with kira. all of a sudden, he attempts to impress you; “attempts” being the keyword. yet reo does the work once again by introducing him to you as his precious treasure and brags that you will see nagi’s full potential at the upcoming race. nagi doesn’t find you to be a bother, so he hopes to see you again. 

𝄞༉‧₊˚. YUKIMIYA KENYU

the model. his charm is the focal point of his character, which drives the audience nuts. curious by nature, yukimiya wonders about the qualities you possess other than being “kira ryosuke’s girl” and how you manage to get the likes of barou, who treats everyone like trash, and nagi, who thinks of only going home, at your whim. seeing you teach nagi about car anatomy allows him to introduce himself. he believes that there is something special about you, but a friend of his thinks so otherwise.

𝄞༉‧₊˚. OTOYA EITA

the ninja. otoya claims to be not like his fellow racers and prefers to stay in the shadows. he doesn’t see you as an angel sent by god in the form of a mechanic to fix their cars, not understanding why everyone is smitten by you. he isn’t interested in interacting with you at first, however, that is proven wrong when yukimiya makes you laugh at a silly joke. it’s rude to make you feel unwelcome, so he decides to give you a chance. a crow- like racer mocks him for thinking he doesn’t find you attractive one bit.

𝄞༉‧₊˚. KARASU TABITO

the assassin. all about good vibes and good times, karasu does not want anyone to act “mediocre” around you. many newcomers are notorious for never setting foot in this place after their first round. he is relieved to hear that you came at your own volition thanks to kira. majority of racers you met so far are nice to you, so he doesn’t need to worry about making an impromptu spiel of why blue lock is great. if you think he’s too friendly for your taste, what about the guy stalking you right now.

𝄞༉‧₊˚. SHIDOU RYUSEI

the joker. unrestrained both in words and action, shidou goes about his day and does everything as he pleases. judging by how yukimiya, otoya, and karasu are quick to shield you, he’s bad news. the altercation grabs kunigami’s attention, who he has massive beef with. being “kira’s girl” doesn’t phase him, nor your best friend going after his head for being near you. one of his rivals isn’t amused by the ongoing circus act, as if he didn’t break his nose in the previous race.

𝄞༉‧₊˚. ITOSHI RIN

the puppeteer. rin has a score to settle with his older brother, sae, who is betting on shidou for the next race. physical violence is a usual solution to settle arguments, and it’s worse for rin to be involved in another fight with shidou, especially before a race that determines his fate and prove to his brother that he’s the best of the best. he doesn’t spare a glance at you or ask if you’re alright, as sae walks into the garage to check out the commotion.

𝄞༉‧₊˚. ITOSHI SAE

the prodigy. sae is one of the top eleven racers at the underground. you now know that he is betting on shidou for the upcoming race. rin does not seem pleased. even if it’s not obvious at face value, everyone can tell that there’s bad blood between the brothers by the intense atmosphere created from their staring contest. sae looks at you then at his brother, who he scoffs at for his lack of concern for you. for a girl to experience this in the first week, he’ll stop by your shop as reparation after the race.

you freeze for a moment and gulp before slowly moving your arm to peel back the duvet from your body. you hear shuffles before a hand grips your arm firmly but gently.

“just where do you think you’re going, hm?” he huffs, voice raspy and deep before his arms wrap around your waist and pull you back to his side.

you curse under your breath and give in, deciding that this is the only logical decision compared to the ones you’ve made in the past. you’ve learnt from past mistakes.

you see, your boyfriend would rather let the world burn under his touch than have you slip from his arms before he awakens from his slumber, especially in the morning. you sigh. you’re definitely aware with the amount of times you’ve attempted to escape the warm confines of his bed and arms. it’s always resulted in you getting dragged back and plopped on the bed.

“15 minutes and we have to get up,” you hum, playing with his hair.

he huffs, leaning into your fingers as they gently card through his hair. “just order off of doordash or somethin’,” he trails off, dropping all his weight on you before falling back asleep.

“OH MY GOD, NO!” you scream, leaning back on your chair and almost falling over. you toss your phone on the loveseat nearby and scramble to hug your legs together.

he lets out a few chuckles before full on laughing. “it’s not even scary, why are you screaming?” he puts his phone down, looking at you with a boyish grin.

“no! im not touching that game,” you sulk, still trembling from the (not-so) terrifying jumpscare you were a victim to.

“baby,” he purses his lips together to suppress his laughter. “its a block game! you can’t be seriously scared of it, right?”

he crosses his arms, face turning red as he juts his bottom lip out a little. “whatever, it just caught me offguard!” he tries to justify, looking away from your smiling face.

stumbles over the door as he profusely apologises for his clumsiness to your father while shaking his hands and keeps bowing at your mother. you have to keep reassuring him that your parents loves him and wouldn’t bite him at all.

your father loves soccer so him and yoichi got along in no time at all and he is also really nice and sweet to your mother. by the end of lunch, he helps your mother and you clean the table and wash the dishes together. you are sure that by the end of the day, your parents would want him to come over for more lunches together again.

“i’m so honoured to finally meet you!” he exclaims excitedly as he shook hands with your father, leaving the old man flabbergast by his enthusiasm.

throughout the whole lunch, meguru keeps yapping about all the stuff you guys did together before you guys became a couple and all. your mother whispered to you about something how she likes meguru already and that he can come over for lunch anytime as well. same as yoichi, meguru is a big help when lunch was over, helping with the dishes and cleaning the table as well.

tons- and i mean tons of gifts for your parents. he even bought a big hamper for them 😭. the day before, you told him that it was no need for him to so but he insisted anyways. your parents were astonished at the gifts as your mother saw that one dior handbag she has always wanted and that one romano prestige cologne for your father.

reo proudly hands them the gifts as he tells them how much he adores your parents for bringing you into this world which made you hit his arm to make him stop talking (and to make him stop making you feel flustered by his words).

he may seem nonchalant on the outside but boy he was panicking inside. he tries not to show it but his shaky hands when shaking your father’s hands says it all. your mother notices his behaviour of course as she tells him that she was thankful of how he’s always there for you (this made rin tense out of pride and also a bit of embarassment) as he nods in response. he doesn’t talk much but did answered all the questions your parents shot at him.

your father has his doubts of course but when he accidently overhears him telling you to give gifts that he bought for your parents (because he was too shy to do so) made your father changed his perspectives of him almost immediately.

Honestly…Isagi doesn't really mind what you do, he just loves you anyway

But, with you being so amazing and all, he just wants to love you more

He admires you and how quick you are to respond to things, like if he spills something you're quick to clean it up

Because of this, he wants to compliment you on a regular basis, but feels bad because of how flustered it makes you

He also loves how your food tastes, partly because it's made by you, but mostly because you make it so darn well

He can't help but tell you how good your cooking is, but he'll apologize right after because your face is so red

So, sometimes he teases you for it, but other times he'll tell you there's nothing to be embarrassed about and that you're just amazing and then you respond with being even more flustered

I'd like to think that everyday when he's on his way home, all he can think about is getting to eat your cooking. Like, seriously, this man is on his way home thinking, “I wonder what (name) cooked tonight… whatever it is, it's gonna be so good, as per usual from my amazing (name).”

Bachira literally loves this, and you, so much!!

He loves how spotless you keep the house, especially because when he helps you cook, he makes a mess

He also tends to rip his shirts and jerseys a lot, and he loves that you fix them for him so that way here can wear them again

Like Chigiri, he also literally dreams about your food. Like when you're sleeping, wake up and you'll catch him literally drooling while dreaming about your food

He also likes it when you take a cloth and wipe his face if he got dirt or anything on it while he was practicing

Nagi appreciates how much you take care of him, because he finds it to be such a hassle
