Prompt #3:
Arthur is a con man whose speciality it is to con rich young couples out of their money and sleep with the wives for good measure.
His latest victim is a beautiful young woman in her early 20s. Everything goes according to plan, until he meets with her and her boyfriend Merlin for the first time. And very-much-straight™-Arthur realises: “Oh, shit. It’s not gonna be the wife I fuck this time.”
Prompt #4:
Once again Merlin has been poisoned.
This time with an extremely potent poison that Arthur knows always to be fatal. He doesn’t manage to save Merlin in time and has to watch his manservant die.
Merlin’s dead.
Until he isn’t.
Merlin is positive that something went wrong and they probably just used a wrong dosis, but Arthur is convinced that Merlin should be dead.
BONUS: They have been abducted and Merlin’s live is being used as leverage against Arthur.

“It is your responsibility, as my best friend, to tell me when my ex-boyfriend’s wedding is taking place, so that incidents like this - Don’t. Happen!”
Prompt #8:
“I called her and politely asked her not to publish it. She was really nice.”
“You slept with her.”
“A bit, yeah.”

Prompt #11:
College AU
Merlin’s plans for his time at university/college were perfect. He had everything planned out.
That is until the first party where he gets heroically drunk. He wakes up naked, in the middle of the night, on the floor of one of the girl’s dorms to the sight of a towering Morgana looking down on him.
Since I’m a big-ass Merthur shipper I imagine Merlin to have seen Arthur previously in one of his lectures (though they didn’t talk), and later that day talking to Morgana (now thinking they’re a couple).
But it doesn’t need to be Merthur (nor any other ship)
Prompt #10:
King Arthur of Camelot rides out to slay a monster that’s been terrorising his kingdom. Once he finds it’s lair he successfully slays the beast and discovers a frightened child that’s been hiding inside the cave.
As he takes the child, Merlin, back with him to the castle, little does he know that Merlin is not a victim but the monster’s offspring. By the time Arthur figures out Merlin is developing the same powers as his mother he has grown to love the child and will protect him with everything he has.

“So, when we had sex last night-”
“We had what?!”
“You really are such an easy mark.”
Prompt #13:
Arthur and Merlin went to university together. Even though everyone just assumed they were dating, they were not. In fact, Arthur had a girlfriend and they very much planned on getting married after Arthur finished uni, so Merlin never really gave much thought to his affectionate feelings towards his best friend.
After university they both moved to different parts of the world for their jobs and apart from texting every now and then they didn’t hear all that much from each other.
Some 5 years later they meet again unexpectedly and catch up on each other’s lives. And now that Arthur and his girlfriend have broken up there is nothing keeping Merlin and him apart anymore, is there?

Merlin: You’ve met my mum a dozen times and she absolutely adores you.
Arthur: Not as your boyfriend I haven’t.
Merlin: Arthur, half the time I am convinced she likes you even better than me, so can you please stop freaking out?
Prompt #15:
Supernatural Crossover:
Merlin and Hunith run a Hunter’s Bar (similar to Ellen and Jo). Arthur is a hunter who stopps by every now and then and absolutely has a thing for Merlin. Merlin though hates his guts - or pretends to at least - which makes it all the more fun for Arthur to tease him.
Prompt #16:
Another Supernatural Crossover:
Merlin is not a typical hunter.
Among hunters he is known as Emrys and he is a big mystery. No-one has ever actually met him, but it is known that he is always there to help whether he pretends to be your FBI supervisor or you are stuck with your case (he is like a walking encyclopedia on supernatural things). But he never leaves his house to go hunting himself.
Arthur is one of the hunters who has called Emrys once or twice when he got stuck with a job.
That is, until he finds a super difficult case that not even Merlin knows the solution to immediately. So they start talking on the phone every evening for like an hour to brainstorm. (And merlin might’ve developed a little crush on the cocky hunter with the husky voice)
At one point Arthur decides to go after the monster and at first Merlin is irritated that Arthur didn’t call that evening, after 3 days with no notice from Arthur he gets concerned and after a week he is so freaked out that he breaks his unwritten rule and leaves his house to search for Arthur himself.
Prompt #17:
Skiing AU:
Arthur is a skiing-beginner and accidentally runs Merlin over on the slope. Needless to say neither of them is very fond of the other after that meeting.
It really was an accident though.
So was the second time.
And the third time.
The fourth time, however, wasn’t.
Possible endings:
1) Arthur invites Merlin to their skiing lodge at the end of their holidays as a way of apologising for the times they unfortunately bumped into each other.
2) Merlin and Arthur get stuck in a gondola and huddle together for warmth.
3) Both of the above.
Prompt #18:
Bar/Café owner Arthur hosts his sister Morgana’s bachelorette party.
Morgana’s maid of honour booked stripper!Merlin for the evening.
Arthur ends up hanging out with Merlin after the girls have already moved on to their next location.
Prompt #19:
Merlin has been in love with Arthur from the moment they’ve met. And even though there were several moments where the sexual tension was tangible, he never dared imagine something might actually happen between them.
Imagine his surprise when, out of the blue, Arthur proposes to him.
And imagine his heartbreak when he realises Arthur only proposed to spite his estranged father.
Even though the proposal was made for the wrong reasons they might realise it hasn’t been the wrong decision after all.
