In the heart of my hearts, I don't know if that was the implication or if I'm reading too much into it, but the fact that Jiang Tian woke up as soon as Sheng Wang went to his bunk, it feels like he was awake through it all. Maybe not waiting for the kiss, but at the very least anticipating the wait. I don't know if that was the reality but it makes me lose my mind.

Playful Jiang Tian exists only for room 501 and that means soooo much to me. Especially because of how much he is always holding on to his feelings and is never ever able to just feel and be a teen. Also importantly, Sheng Wang being absolutely smitten to see playful Jiang Tian is what motivates and pushes him to be that gleeful. The joy that they share is soso beautiful and soso palpable and most importantly it allows them to stay without withdrawing into their loneliness.
I love so much about it. I wanted an episode with the friends and roommates being a big part and that's what I got.

THE ON1Y ONE (2024). EPISODE ELEVEN.
The new episode was something.... The joy and yearning and hurt and love, everything hit right where it was supposed to. I think about the episode and one moment I am so so happy about Jiang Tian loosening up, about Sheng Wang becoming more and more aware of himself, of them together acting the tests together and just the overall joy they have around each other, because of each other.
The next moment I'm wrecked because of Jiang Tian's moment. Because of the hurt and torment he is going through. Of the shame and guilt he feels because of it all. Because of the helplessness it brings that he is constantly trying to win against when it comes to Sheng Wang.
Right after that, I'm terrified. Of what is to come for them. Is Sheng Wang going to be sent away to the new class. Are people going to realise and question them. Are they going to lose each other even before they could be each other's.
I don't know what's going to happen tomorrow. But whatever it is, I trust that it will be meaningful. I hope there is a new season irrespective, but even if there isn't, I'm going to love the show for all that it has been.
I don't say this lightly but The On1y One has wrecked me and changed my brain chemistry in all the ways possible. I'm going to keep coming back to it.
Especially after everything he pulled in the final episode he for sure is.
Wang is begging for it. A confession, a kiss, a spanking? Idk but the sneaky little brat is so obvious.
He would’ve gone insane if he had to last like Tian did for months.

I don't remember if I had reblogged it or not, I don't even remember exactly what the post was saying but I saw a post where someone was talking about how even if The On1y One doesn't end with a resolution and ends while being angsty they would still be happy because they appreciate the story as a whole. And that is exactly where I am. It is a beautiful story. It was done very well in my opinion. The directing, acting, writing. Everything. Even if they didn't resolve everything they explored everything and made it meaningful and that is important to me. It means so much to me that I was able to experience it the way I did.
Almost a week later and I still can't stop thinking about Sheng Wang and Jiang Tian. I can't stop thinking about their love for each other that is so strong that Sheng Wang had to decide to let it go to not affect their living situation (I mean at and consequently finding the home). It was so terrifying the thought of being reciprocated because it comes with so many consequences and implications to it and to people finding out about it. I can't stop thinking about Jiang Tian caring for Sheng Wang and showing his feelings through that care. I can't get over the ease and brattiness that slips through Sheng Wang when he is with Jiang Tian because he is just so comfortable and happy with him, even if he is struggling to hide it all. Interestingly, I can't stop thinking about Gao Tianyang knowing well enough that Jiang Tian only and only came out of his shell because of what it meant to Sheng Wang, that he became friends (Tian-ge) with all of these people so many years later because Sheng Wang was here and being okay with it. I can't stop thinking about Xi (I am unsure of how to spell the rest of his name, I keep getting confused) and Lin Bei Ting struggling with their own feelings and emotions while also potentially knowing about the two boys (or at least one of them) in the class that they are so close to and have an almost mentor-mentee relationship, and at least one of them realises that one of the boys threw his exam because he was overwhelmed about something. As I'm reading the book right now, I can't stop thinking of the yearning and love between all of them and it just makes my heart soar and I miss the show.

My Top BL Series Couples
Let me start off by saying I haven’t watched too many bl shows but so far these are my fav!
1. Hao Ting and Shi Gu
they are in my number spot (despite the last episode that robbed us of our happy ending) because they have a nice kind of enemies to lovers plot but it’s not terrible. They are a nice high school lover trope that isn’t cringey and they really grew to be a lovely couple that didn’t rush too much. I’m glad Hao Ting was ready to sacrifice everything for Shi Gu, he literally said whatever he chose to study in college wouldn’t matter as long as he was with Shi Gu. THATS LOVE RIGHT THERE AND I WON’T SETTLE FOR LESS.
2. Adachi and Kurosawa
Cherry Magic was the first bl drama I ever watched and I’m glad to say this was my first because it made me want to watch more. Although I didn’t get to see the movie, I absolutely loved the show. I love Adachi especially, he’s a relatable character that I really enjoy. Kurosawa is a bold and nice person that was ALWAYS respectful to Adachi and never crossed the line. He was absolutely memorable and sweet and was nothing but lovely to Adachi. The whole plot of the show was super interesting too which added to the amazing roles each character played. I really love the ending too and it made me super happy to see their conflict resolved and happy and cuddly. Miss them a lot 💔.
3. Tang Yi and Shao Fei
IT WAS REALLY HARD TO PUT THEM IN NUMBER 3! But they are another enemies to lovers trope I enjoy. I won’t just watch this show for them or the other couples, but the amazing plot of this whole show. The plot twist will always get me. Anyways, I love them a lot and I love that this drama was dramatic and funny as much as it was romantic. These are my fav boys and nobody can stop me from posting them over and over again.

Here we go! Disclaimer: I'm not going to list every Office BL™ these are just the ones I've seen. Sorry if your fav is missing! Let's start with our lowest scorer that definitely sets the tone for the bottom of the barrel.
CHECK OUT - The veneer is tracing paper if not completely transparent. Fucking in the office. Yeah. That's an HR violation for sure. Thankfully your company is too small to have an HR department. But you're definitely getting fired by your boss who is also your boyfriend who you are also cheating on.
BED FRIEND - The veneer is only considered opaque because everyone else in the office is blind as hell. HR is pretty sure you two fucked in the office bathroom, but they have no proof so could only give you a warning.
LOVE MATE - Veneer is 1-ply. I mean, if the whole office ships it, is it truely an issue? HR thanks you for keeping things PG.
WE BEST LOVE: FIGHTING MR. 2ND - The veneer is definitely paper thin, but it's 2-ply. At least you avoided fucking in the office. Just a good smack in the face and some mutual sexual harassment. HR win...I guess.
HISTORY4: CLOSE TO YOU - Veneer is getting a little thicker, but depends on the light. Rooftop and in-office grandiose love confessions aside, HR thanks you for keeping your higher heat make out sessions off business hours. Still, gossiping about your romantic interests with your coworkers is grounds for a warning.
OUR DATING SIM - Veneer is about as thick as the space between your legs through which HR can see that you're literally holding hands in the office right now, stop it.
STEP BY STEP - The veneer is solid. Mainly office stuff happens in the office. HR approves of this boring as hell vibe. Still, you get marked down slightly because you did almost get down in the company parking garage.
CHERRY MAGIC - The veneer is a wholesome thickness, but no kissing in the company elevator. HR slap on the wrist for sure. We don't care how quickly the doors closed. There is CCTV in that elevator, sirs.
JUN & JUN - The veneer is currently in the process of being painted on so we'll have to wait and see, but it's looking pretty thin so far. HR has their pens ready to write up the report.
OLD FASHION CUPCAKE - The veneer is solid, but HR saw you hugging in the coffee station. Thank you for waiting until you were off work hours to make out, I guess. Enjoy your fancy desserts.
