FUCKING TAG THINGS CORRECTLY ASSHOLES!!!! I DON'T CARE IF YOU HAVE EVERY VALID REASON TO HATE SOMETHING! YOU DON'T HAVE THE RIGHT TO RUIN THE FUN FOR SOMEONE ELSE! The Anti tags are for hate. If you dislike something, tag it. If you do like something and tag it with the Anti tag, FUCK OFF. If you don't tag something as hate, don't hate and don't put shipper tags in the hate. This applies to all fandoms! I say fandoms because if we're talking about politics, then everything is hate and it's scary. Fandoms, you have been warned, STOP BEING FUCKING ASSHOLES!!!!!
blaine getting his throat slit was one of the happiest moments of my life until he came back
Tbh if i was one of the non-Blaine warblers I totally would’ve thought Kurt was a spy. Like imagine being a warbler that year. From your perspective this random kid:
Joined your team after transferring from the school you just learned that you’d be competing against at sectionals
Immediately befriended the leader of your team and literally not anyone else
Spent a ridiculous amount of time taking your lead soloist to a coffee shop in a whole different town
Convinced the leader of your team to switch up on your tried and tested methods for success right before a state-level competition
Killed a bird you gave him as a sign of his status as a member of your team (I know that he didn’t kill him but also how were they supposed to know that)
Came out of uniform to your last meeting before the big competition and took up all of your time during the meeting singing a song
Seduced your lead soloist
Earned a duet with your lead soloist seemingly out of nowhere
The duet lost you the big competition which your team almost always wins
He transfers back to the other school right after you lose
He also communicates with people from the opposing team during his entire stay at your school including the teacher who runs the opposing glee club
Next year your lead soloist ditches you to be with him at the opposing school
In conclusion, all the warblers probably thought Kurt was a spy with way too much time and money on his hands and they were right to think it.
when sebastian smythe (gay) threw a slushie filled with rock salt at kurt (gay) during a jackson-off but blaine (gay) took the shot for him and the rock salt got in his eyes and he had to get surgery so santana (lesbian) went and had a duel with sebastian (gay) via a cello-backed rendition of "smooth criminal." that was a triumph of gay representation the world had not seen before and never has since.

This is a nice bit of meta if it's an intentional choice on the writers' parts, since Robin graduates from being Batman's sidekick to becoming Nightwing the independent hero.
Robin » Nightwing
Kitten Boy » Nightbird
Reblogging this because the original post is great, but I also wanted to comment on an interesting contrast between Nightwing and Blaine.
Nightwing has a lot of friends. He's practically weaponized friendship. The entire DC superhero community would be willing to risk life and limb for him if he needed it. That's how well-liked he is. And that's one of the big things that sets him apart from Batman. Even Superman and Wonder Woman, who inspire awe and reverence, don't have the sheer volume of friends that Nightwing has. Dan Didio considered killing him off for DC's 52 event but then changed his mind when he realized that Dick Grayson was the "heart" of the DC-universe (and instead killed off Superboy instead. Booooo.)
Blaine Anderson, by contrast, is alone at McKinley. He needs friends and a support system. The Glee writers may not mean to make the comparison, but when thinking about the two characters side by side, Dick's popularity (based on genuine friendship) made for a bittersweet contrast to Blaine's popularity (based on showmanship).
Also, I'm wondering if Blaine DEVON Anderson is a shout-out to Devin Grayson, writer of the Nightwing title from 2002 to 2006. The spelling's different though, so maybe not.
There aren’t enough words for how much I love the choice of Robin/Nightwing for Blaine Anderson’s hero.
