between pressed pages and inked lines I found a colorful world not bound by any laws and my imagination ran wild as I was drawn closer into a world much like my own, only better. ~© #ownphotography #ownpoetry #onthespotpoem #lockdownlife #oldhobbies #harrypotterbooks #thetwilightsagabooks #readingislife #bookcommunity #igphotography https://www.instagram.com/p/CAfpZPTlsFw-7OsnVoe5MZLSeT-IM8WDr4puKA0/?igshid=1i9pa5mc4ekz8

Don't.
It's late, and dinner in this household is never late. In his life of four years in the household, dinner is never eaten past eight, or as she says the monsters will chew their years off. Buck feels hollow inside, the growling in his stomach getting louder with every passing second.
Abby is happy, crawling on all fours as she chases after the yellow squeaky toy. Hearing Abby’s giggles Ella picks up the toddler, cradling her in her arms. Abby coos, Buck slowly approaches the two, standing by Ella’s side, with Abby in her arms she looks at him and then the clock.
Finally, dinner is served. Everyone is eating as usual, the baby nibbling on her carrots, with occasional clattering coming from the plate beside. But Buck senses a shift in the air, is it the food or something else?
With deafening silence looming over their heads, which was never the case of his home, Ella looks at Buck and crouches down to him. Very sweetly she caresses and he lets her fondle his ears. He jolts up with joy, as if nothing was wrong the whole evening. This makes her giggle, the same sound she made whenever Buck would do something cute. ‘Calm down boy’, she says suddenly with a sad smile.
Ella opens the door, scooping Abby in her arms and calls Buck outside. Slowly, taking out the ball from her pocket, she throws it with full force. ‘Run’ thinks Buck, so he does with a speed of lightning. Once Buck catches the ball, he happily runs towards the house. Instead of Ella’s sweet giggles he sees a car moving away from the now dark house. He runs after it, until he cant see the car any more. Buck halts. Standing in the middle of the road, under the dark night wagging his tail, barking and barking.
I'm looking for illustrated books or special editions of famous novels. Do you guys have any "beautiful books" recommendations?
Characters Types
Protagonist:
The Protagonist is the main character of your story. They are the most mentioned, the one who drives the plot, the one the readers will be paying most of their attention to. Generally, there is only one, but there can be more than one protagonist in a story.
Antagonist:
The Antagonist is the character that goes against the Protagonist. An Antagonist doesn’t have to be a person, necessarily. It can be a group of people, society, nature, et cetera. They don’t even have to be evil, they just need to go against the Protagonist’s motives.
Villain:
Both the Villain and the Antagonist are opponents of the Protagonist. Though, the main difference is the Villain has bad intentions. They are evil.
Dynamic Character:
A Dynamic Character is the person who undergoes a change throughout the story, whether it be good or bad. The character’s motives or morals are different than they were in the beginning. The change is normally permanent.
Flat or Static Character:
A Flat or Static Character is the opposite of a Dynamic Character, hardly experiencing any changes throughout the story, if at all. Generally, the reader doesn’t know much about this character.

Character-driven vs Plot-driven Stories
What is a Character-driven story?
Character-driven stories gravitate toward intra and interpersonal relationships with the characters. Unlike a plot-driven story, these types of stories focus on how the character(s) arrives at a choice.
Readers tend to enjoy these types of stories because of the realistic characters authors write in those books. It allows the reader to see themselves or others in those characters, developing an emotional connection.
What is a Plot-driven story?
A Plot-driven story gravitates toward the external rather than the internal conflict. Unlike a character-driven story, these types of stories focus on the choice a character must make rather than what they do to get there.
Readers tend to enjoy these types of stories because of the well-constructed plot. Seeing a character in a situation they cannot control may provide a sense of purpose or familiarity for the reader.
(This is something my friend said she likes about plot-driven stories. It may be true for other readers, as well.)
Which is best?
I’m going to let you in on a little secret. There is no such thing as the “best” way to write a story. It all depends on preference.
If you want to write a story for an audience who will analyze your characters, write for that audience. If you want a story for an audience who will gravitate toward your well-constructed plot, write for that audience.
There is somebody out there who will love your book, I guarantee.

It's all in the genes. I had heard so much about my Grandmamma who I've never met. About how much she loved reading and how head-strong she was. Everyone used to tell me how very much alike her. I'd feel so overwhelmed with that comparison because she's been such a role model for me. My father told me how much she was into books and that she had huge collection which my father has preserved and he'd give it to me when we had the space and when I was ready for it. Yesterday we opened the first among the two trunks and the smell of that a century old books hit me with so much unknown bliss. Running my fingers over those books, I felt I was meeting my Grandmamma. She hadn't gone to school and studied but she had that thirst of knowledge and she collected all this on her own to quench her thirst. It is full of Kannada books. My father welled up a bit as he went through the memory lane and I did too. I took a few books which I felt I could read and I felt I was taking a part of her that I could carry with me. It also had a few books which I've wanted to read and it showed how much our reading taste matched. It's all in the genes. I love you Grandmamma 💕 #miracleswords ___________________________________________ #bookstagrammer #bookstagram #booklover #bookworm #books #bookish #booknerd #bibliophile #bookaddict #booksofinstagram #reading #bookphotography #bookaholic #readersofinstagram #tbr #bookblogger #instabook #booklove #bookshelf #bookcommunity #read #reader #blogger #booksthroughgenerations #bookobsessed #readingslump #writingquotes (at Namma Bengaluru- ನಮ್ಮ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು) https://www.instagram.com/p/CC0A9-gF9O2/?igshid=m3oyxm13w7oc
