I don't understand why people, mainly Taylor, pretend not to see that Augustine knew about Betty.

I mean, how could she sing "cause it was never mine" if she didn't know that James was hanging out with another girlS in plural?????

It's obvious for me that she knew about Betty. Otherwise, Inez wouldn't have told Betty about what James was doing.

And let's be honest, here EVERYONE knows that James and Betty weren't "serious" mainly because in cardigan Betty says that he was eyeing other girls, that's why she probably talks about sensual politics and the hand under her sweater. It means that James wanted physical contact, and she probably didn't give him what he wanted, so he tried to find it somewhere else.

High heels are cited in cardigan, so it makes me think that Betty is talking about the prom night.

Mirrorball also tells us that she breaks in a million pieces, that is she's a cardigan, because when she breaks she can transform herself in whatever she needs to fit in be loved.

She also says that she can show James every version of himself, but you can only show someone all his versions knowing him very well.

This line gives me some "Betty has had her father abandon her and her family, so she was raised by a single mum and now, after witnessing her parent's mariage fail and her dad not wanting anything to do with them, she has huge abandonment issues." vibes.

And I know people love to compare wolfstar to cardigan with the line “you drew stars around my scars, but now I’m bleeding” - and yes I’ll admit i love the fanarts and everything inspired by that line, but can we please talk about how willow is the ultimate wolfstar song?

I have seen multiple people comparing Remus to folklore by Taylor swift and like, I understand it yes, but if any of her albums are Remus lupin coded than it’s evermore. Think about it, the whole album is about being in love with a past lover years after it ended, hating them but never really being able to let them go.

Just try and tell me that when you listen to happiness or closure you don’t think of a 30 something year old Remus reminiscing on his relationship with Sirius, believing he betrayed Lily and James in which ultimately resulted in their death and hating him for it, but hating himself even more for still loving him. The entire album is laced in Remus lupin, from the lyrics down to the aesthetics. Remus lupin is evermore
