I have decided that in the centaur AU the elk, deer and other horned animals based taurs will have horns and antlers. I have made myself a 3D horns reference for the drawings to keep them consistent: have Crosshair and Mayday with their amazing crowns

The idea was pushed to the surface by @pinetree-tbb

was messing around with some effects in procreate and wanted to see what they look like as something other than a sawsbuck,

HAPPY FIRST DAY OF PRIDE!

(it's not the first any more) Geralt owns a horse ranch, whether it's an au where he was never a witcher, he's retired from witchering and has a lil home (ala Corvo Bianco), or he just has it on the side of his witchering is up to you, dear It's filled with horses presumably only named Roach, because Geralt is Geralt. There was extra hoof tracks near the back of his barn. Hmm. Either a runaway horse or a wild hors is interested in his stables. It'd be safer for the poor horse if Geralt were able to catch it and make sure it's healthy. So he leaves the door open one night, and stands off to the side, pulling an all-nighter. The second he hears the clipclop of hooves walk in, he shuts the door. He expects the horse to spook and start braying in a panic, but instead he hears a man gasp in surprise. Geralt wonders who would ride their horse into an unknown stable, and holds up his lantern, only to see.... A centaur? A starving, scared centaur, with a messy flop of brown hair, and bright blue eyes. Does- Does he want hay or like... Roast lamb?

I gots a centaur OC ready for Centaur AU! His name is Josiah, an albino deer centaur who mostly stays in the shade, doesn’t really like the sun. His hair is so long, he has a pretty hard time combing it and getting it out of his hair. He is rather big and kind of intimidating at first, especially if he is in the forest and is dark and someone just sees this light ass centaur with glowing yellow eyes. But in reality, he is a softie who just likes to chill and have his hair played with and braided and stuff. His legs are pretty strong but the skin is pretty delicate so he often has bandages wrapped around them due to injuries he gets every day.

He would not wander far from the herd a lot but when he does, he ends up getting lost pretty badly and cries until someone finds him. He is most likely to get along best with Y/N and Sun since they the most friendly of the herd in his opinion and is pretty close to the fawns and takes care of them when he can. He respects Eclipse and Moon, though he doesn’t talk to them much unless he gets lost and they have to find him.

Josiah mini lore dump!

Name: Josiah Species of centaur: Albino deer Age: Around his 20s

Personality: Mostly chill, a tad nervous but generally a nice guy. He likes to sit in the shade as he gets sunburned too easily for his liking and dealing with those is a pain in the ass. Likes having his hair played with and styled by the children in the herd, he finds them amusing. He would usually lay down and takes naps and often wakes up to having his hair braided and having flowers in them. He usually leaves them there until they fall out. Very empathetic and caring, would care for others when they are hurt or upset, even if he himself were to have it worse. He prioritizes others over himself often.

Lore: Born as an albino deer, Josiah was kind of excluded from his original herd, not outright kicked out but felt like an outcast. When he was a bit older, he left, staying alone for a while before joining the Celestial Herd. At first, he was closed off and refused to speak to anyone. Over time though, he got out of his shell when seeing how others in the herd didn't treat him as less and actually tried including him into stuff. He still isn't the most sociable of the bunch but feels more at home now. He likes it.

Likes: Chilling, napping, snow, the fawns of the herd, having his hair styled, Sun, Y/N, flowers, trinkets he finds, pretty rocks, cuddling.

Dislikes: The sun, summer, his hair being a mess, getting lost, his hooves and legs getting so easily cut, his bandages ripping, being scolded, mushrooms.

Fun fact: Josiah ate a mushroom once that made him high as hell. He laid on the grass for a good while, laughing and crying at nothing while his eyes were swirls (like when followers be intoxicated in COTL lol-). Moon was the one to find him like that. It was pretty awkward.

Another fun fact: Goat centaur kids that have way too much energy sometimes jump on him and off him and he sometimes doesn't even realize.

Random facts: Is very tall, but not as tall as the herd leaders of course so he still gotta look up to them a bit (he most likely closer to Sun in height). Fight or flight senses are nonexistent at times. Cries when he gets lost. Is able to hide well in the snow due to being albino and likes that. In relation, is never affected by the cold but greatly affected by the heat. Respects and is intimidated by Moon and Eclipse, mostly Eclipse. He can fall asleep anywhere, even the most uncomfortable of places.

High of the Shroom

Josiah was lost… again. He had wandered off into the nearby forest and had no clue where the way back to the herd was. He mentally scolded himself for doing so knowing full well that his sense of direction was shit. And he was getting so hungry too…

“There must be something here to eat…” The albino deer mumbled as he walked around the forest, looking for some food as to at least make his stomach stop growling when he came across some large mushrooms. “Huh? Mushrooms?”

The mushrooms were pretty tall and rather thin, though the cap was larger than the rest of it. It was a sky blue color with some purple fade and small white spots at the cap. It looked pretty weird but…

“Ah, screw it. I’ll end up starving before getting to the herd.” Josiah huffed as he plucked out two mushrooms and started eating them. “Blegh, could taste better…”

Even through his disgust, he completely ate the mushrooms satisfying his hunger for the time being before resuming his journey out of the forest. He appeared to only get more lost though. Damn.

Meanwhile back at the herd, the rest of the centaurs were just hanging around, the fawns running, playing and causing their little chaos as always. Sun was tending to the young ones while Moon and Eclipse kept an eye on everyone, making sure everyone was safe and checked out. Moon, however, noticed they were missing someone.

“Who is…?” Moon mumbled before suddenly deadpanning when he took notice of the forest nearby. “Of course he got lost again…”

Huffing in frustration, Moon ran off into the forest to try and find the missing centaur.

Speaking of the latter, things were going a bit… weird for him.

“Why is the sky yellow…? Was it always yellow??” The white deer asked as he looked up at the leaves. They were leaves. Not the sky.

Josiah’s eyes were swirls as he kind of stumbled around, holding onto trees as to not fall as everything looked kinda funky. The ‘sky’ (which were just tree leaves) looked yellow, the ground seemed to move like a kaleidoscope, and the trees looked like they had faces! Or maybe that was just the pattern of the wood, he didn’t know, everything just looked so odd!

“I FeEl weeeeIRd…” Josiah said, his speech slurring a bit before he started laughing. “Hahaha, this funnyyyy!”

The centaur laughed loudly as he stopped walking for a moment and started crying at the same time. It was a bit… disturbing to watch.

“JOSIAH!” A familiar voice broke the intoxicated deer out of his daze, looking around for the source of the voice. “Josiah, where are you?!”

“Heeeey Mooooon!” Josiah exclaimed as he appeared where Moon was, startling the bigger centaur who quickly composed himself and crossed his arms, narrowing his eyes at the albino.

“How many times have I told you not to wander off? You keep getting lost in these places.” Moon said, not yet acknowledging the fact Josiah was high as a kite.

“Sorryyyyyy, I got curious of the plaaaaace!” Josiah said as he walked away from Moon, stumbling around once more.

Moon DEFINITELY noticed how weird Josiah was acting now.

“Are you okay?” Moon asked.

“Just peachy! There was this- There was this thing! It was blue with purple and white and it tasted funny and I feel funkyyyy!” Josiah said as he giggled as tears ran down his face.

“Don’t tell me you are a poisonous mushroom…” Moon groaned in annoyance.

“I can see the light SPECTRUM!” Josiah exclaimed.

“You ate a mushroom.” Moon confirmed and sighed as he approached Josiah and grabbed his arms. “Come on, we have to go back to the herd.”

Josiah, however, pulled his arms away.

“I don wanna!” He whined as he huffed.

This was starting to frustrate Moon. Josiah was intoxicated off his ass, he was acting weird and was being extremely difficult right now.

“Josiah, I do not have time for games. We have to get back to the herd.” Moon said. “And you have to seriously get that mushroom out of your system.”

“Moooshroom. It was gross.” Josiah said as he made a disgusted face.

“I know, which is why we have to go back so you can rest and hopefully not be so… intoxicated.” Moon said.

“Okaaaaay…” Josiah said, kind of dejected.

Moon sighed as he grabbed Josiah’s arm and started leading him out of the forest. It took a bit but they eventually made it out and got back to the herd. There, Moon had to force Josiah to lay down under the shade and take a damn nap. Once he made sure Josiah was knocked out cold in his sleep, he continued patrolling around the herd, making sure no one else got separated from the herd.

Once Josiah woke up, he stood up, ran behind a tree and threw up his digestive system. He moved away after a good 20 seconds of vomiting, feeling like shit as his stomach grumbled now that it was empty again.

“I hate mushrooms…” The centaur mumbled as he went to take another nap.

At night, Centaur Josiah would sometimes be thought to be a ghost due to him being full on white and it kind of stands out in the darkness if he was out walking or something. Of course, the herd would know it’s just him but outsiders that see him at night would probably get spooked

It's just a silly couple of doodles that were just for fun! A lot of these designs were inspired by @chiptrillino and their atla art!
