Of royal born and street urchins who fought side by side. They tell the story of the Queen who was promised.
They tell the legend of a mystical queen who could burn the world with her flames. Who had scars on her back and hands from her time as a slave. Who lived a double life as an assassin but came back for her people. Who banished the dark queen and brought back the light.

So I’m finished with Queen of Shadows and starting Empire of Storms and I just wanna say, uhhh why the hate towards Chaol?
Like I might just be some 19 year old guy but I really don’t see any like real problems with Chaol right now, he’s still the first character I fell in love with

I have this interesting tendency where if I like a character but I acknowledge their flaws and I see other people hating on said character I will immediately decide that character is now precious and I will like them even more because they deserve some love
The more I reread Throne of Glass, the more I understand less and less why people are such strong Aedion and Chaol haters. I get that they have moments where they are unkind, but honestly the way people are constantly mad at them for reacting poorly to being manipulated and not even the least bit concerned about the fact that they were BEING MANIPULATED really irks me. So yes, I am a Chaol and Aedion apologist and I am not in the least bit sorry about it. Tower of Dawn is one of my favorites in the entire series, and I enjoy almost every moment that involves Aedion. They are both complex and fleshed out characters that deserve appreciation!
