as much as the concept of Jesus being a fairly normal lad has its charms, im personally very intrigued by the idea of him being just… extremely weird. not even in a mystical sense, just…….staggeringly BIZZARRE.

I just wanna say that the black carpet or atleast a similar creature is definitely 100%, real and I have seen it atleast on 4 separate occasions it's real and I have seen it
The Peluda, also called La Velue, terrorized the North-Western area of France in medieval times. Many called it a dragon but it was most often reported as an ox-sized porcupine. It had green hair-like spines coming off its back and when it needed to, those spines would harden and it could shoot them off at its enemy. Reportedly, the spines were also poisonous. The beast also was said to have a green, scaly head, body and legs.
The beast was said to be able to do a number of dangerous abilities including being able to wither crops, creating floods just by stepping into rivers and spitting out a stream of water or even acid.
Lore says that the Peluda was defeated when a man, angered that the beast killed his fiancée, cut off the beast’s tail. Its tail was its weak point and it died immediately afterwards.
The Hidebehind is reportedly a large and powerful animal even though no one has ever seen one. The Hidebehind was blamed for many cases of disappearances among loggers when they did not return to camp and it is the reason that the beast is said to feed on humans. No matter how fast the observer is, the Hidebehind always manages to conceal itself behind something if it is being looked at. It is said that alcohol is a sufficient repellent to Hidebehind attacks, and it avoids the substance as much as it possibly can.

One of my passions is cryptozoology, so I wanted to create a series of posters dedicated to the creatures passed down in stories amongst locals who have reported these creatures for generations.
The series will continue to grow and more cryptids will be showcased within the photographs.

Day 4: The Hide-Behind. Originating from American lumberjack folklore, the Hide-Behind was said to be a predatory creature that stalked its human prey stealthily. It could contort its body to hide behind any structure when its prey turned around to look. It was a convenient explanation for the unexplained and unidentified strange noises lumberjacks would often hear in the woods.
