Ducktales Meets the Solve it Squad Returns Headcannon

SPOILERS FOR THE SOLVE IT SQUAD RETURNS BY TCB!

The triplets and Webby staring in “The Solve it Squad Returns”

Starring: ~ Louie as Llewellyn Gander [Scrags]. Former member of the solve it squad and owner of Scrooge McD (his dog), his life changed forever after the dreaded Magica De Spell killed his beloved dog. Now working for the FBI and going by his full name he must get the gang back together in order to solve the case once and for all ~ Dewford as Dewy McQuack [Keith]. The former ‘cool guy’ of the solve it squad, Dewy’s life is in the dumps selling merch for his old crew. In order to get his friends back together he kickstarts their only unsolved case (Magica De Spell) to show his friends how much better they are together ~ Huebert as Huey Gearloose [Esther]. A child prodigy turned drug addict to keep his brain from basically exploding. Huey’s life (while enough for him) isn’t the greatest before Llewellyn drags him back into the solve it squad ~ Webbigail as Webby Vanderquack [Gwen]. After a failed writing carrier (no one wanted to read her detective novels) and a unfulfilling marriage, Webby is happy to rejoin the solve it squad in hopes of turning their adventures into a TV show ~ Della as Chief Duck [Chief O’Brien]. Llewellyn’s boos at the FBI who’s just trying her hardest to relate to her best agent and get him to recover from the loss of his dog ~ Scrooge McDuck as Scrooge McD [Cluebert]. Llewellyn’s dog and the glue that held the solve it squad together before he tragically passed at the hand of Magica De Spell

Roles still needing to be cast (open to ideas) ~ Literally every other role played by Brian Rosenthal in the original (see this video for the long list of parts)

Again another headcannon that came to me at 3am

How I Would Write Ducktales (2017) Season 4(if it happened)?

Since I’ve seen a few fans talking about how they would write S4, it got me curious to know what you guys thought. I don’t have that much of an idea since almost every storyline was closed, but I’ll give it a shot.

So, my main plot point for S4 would be a sort of Scrooge redemption arc. If anyone has seen The Life & Crimes of Scrooge McDuck then you know what I’m going to be talking about.

Glomgold and Ma Beagle’s stories won’t be included since they weren’t particularly terrible. Though, they do show Scrooge’s selfish nature and non-accountability of how his actions affect people. What I will be talking about is Magica’s story. I don’t feel super bad for Poe and Magica since they terrorized innocent villagers, but what Scrooge did was not good. Magica was willing to through everything away if he helped her and Poe; instead Scrooge ridicules her and steals the villager’s money. Magica’s terrorizing could have ended right there. 

And that’s not even the worst part. Scrooge then took advantage of the villager’s situation to make a profit and left them once he was done. He didn’t help them or anything; sure he didn’t have magic but he could have at least tried. I was super annoyed when the writers swept those issues under the rug after this episode.

Actually watching Scrooge trying to fix his mistakes would be way more convincing than an apology (which was pretty half-assed, I must say).

Season 4 would be Scrooge’s season.

As for the main villain, maybe a group from that village who are still resentful towards Scrooge. They don’t have to be big villains like Bradford; just ones that affect Scrooge and his family.

I would also add Poe since he has so much potential and can give Magica some good development.

Since it's Scroldie week, i thought it would be nice to draw them too. They're my absolute childhood OTP and u can't change that :))

Kinda of AU where it's just Scrooge and Goldie with a, more like their, egg. Will it be an ostrich? Who knows.....

Headcanon n°10: When having nightmares about Della that send him breaking down in tears, Beakley doesn’t hesitate to hug him, kiss him in the forehead, and tell him it will be okay.

WARNING: This post is rather useless and pretty much for self-satisfaction purposes (and to distract me from the fact that this week's episode is the last one we'll be getting until who knows when) . Enjoy

After watching “The last crush of the Sunchaser” (and spending about 6 days in the darkest corner in my room) I wanted to draw your attention towards the complex relationship between Scrooge McDuck and Bentina Beakley/Agent 22

I mean, c’mon. They are at the same time friends, partners, lovers (ok, no. sorryXP) , and employer-employee. Pretty confusing, right?

Well, in the episode it’s shown that they seem to use different names depending on which side of the relationship is the fitting one in the moment.

When talking to Beakley, Scrooge uses either “Mrs Beakley”, “Beakley”, “Agent 22″, “22″ or “Bentina”, while Mrs B says “Mr McDuck”, “McDuck”, “Scrooge” and the one that still hurts the most, “sir”

Now, “Mrs Beakley”, “Beakley” and “Mr McDuck” are the formal way of adressing each other, usually used while they are working (which is practically always) or they are REALLY angry (alongside with “Scrooge McDuck”) .

 “Agent 22″ and “22″ is used in a more playful way, denoting friendship and partnership, as well as “McDuck” (although Beakley isn’t usually very happy when she uses it either XD). 

The most intimate ones, the names they use when they really need to reach out to the other one are, definetely, “Scrooge” (when she needed him to listen to her) and “Bentina” (When he wanted to reassure her about their safety).

And then we have “sir”. (That cold word felt like a punch in my face when Beakley said it.). It's the ultimate "fuck you" she could have used, since it reduced their relationship to a cold employer-employee one, like if they didn't have anything else and were just mere strangers who happen to work one for the other.

(I seriously can't wait for the next episode and, at the same time, I don't want it to be released yet. Like, I NEED to know how all this will be ending but I don't want it to end. Someone send help, I need a therapist"

Day 6: Vulnerable

I don't usually write and this is kinda short so hope you like it!

It had been a pretty regular mission if someone asked Scrooge. 

Sure, he had somehow gotten captured this time (in hindsight, maybe all the times Bentina had stressed about NOT putting unknown things in his beak had a slight point. Not that he was going to admit it out loud, even less to her face, any time soon though), so most of the work had fallen into 22's shoulders with the extra task of rescuing him. But still, pretty subpar villains compared to the ones they usually dealt with, paired with pretty common goals and a poorly put-together plan made it so the events of the day were unremarkable at best, and he had almost completely forgotten about them by the time he settled reading in the hotel's shared bed, Beakley diligently finishing touching up the main points of her report before joining him with a book of her own.

Eventually he had been so engrossed in his book, detailing the mysteries that surrounded a certain artifact that had recently caught his eye, that he had lost all sense of the time.

Until a soft, steady, rhythmic sound he had never heard before pulled him out of his trance and made him scan his side of the room startled, book gripped hard in his hand in case he needed a weapon, taking for granted his partner would cover the other side. 

But it wasn't until he turned to check with her that he found the source of his alarm and his breath stopped for a moment.

Because Bentina "Agent 22" Beakley looked deceptively defenseless curled under the blankets next to him with her pale hair messily scattered all over the place and shining slightly under the soft combined glow of his night lamp and the crescent moon, long lost to a deep slumber for the first time since they had met all those years ago.

And there he sat, staring at her in bewilderment, trying to remember a single occasion he had seen her like this in their many shared travels.

No matter how tedious the mission had been, how grueling and challenging the fight had gotten nor how many injuries she received from it, Agent 22 had always been awake to see him fall asleep.

Moreover, while Scrooge prided himself on being an early bird, no matter how early he awoke, Bentina was already going about her daily routine, moving silently like a shadow around the room to avoid waking up her partner. He had tried waking up before his regular hour before for a change but somehow she seemed to anticipate when that would be and fix her sleeping schedule accordingly every single time.

Logically he knew she would sleep during the period in-between. After all, common sense was one of her strongest suits, she wasn't reckless enough to enter a battle sleep-deprived, especially not when so much was at stake in every single one of her missions. Plus, she had trusted Scrooge as far as to give him her real name years ago and their bond had only gotten stronger since then.

She simply had never allowed herself to lower her guard to that degree around him during his waking hours.

Of course, he could hardly blame her. After all, old habits die hard, especially if they're the ones keeping you alive. 

Until now.

A small whimper suddenly broke his line of thought, making his attention snap back to the spy next to him, who, in a more awake state, would have never been caught dead making that sound in front of anyone.

Whatever dreams plagued her mind surely weren't pleasant as she whimpered again, her breathing speeding up and her body getting more restless by the moment, until he instinctively put a hand on top of her head, stroking her hair gently with a comforting shush, like he would do ever so often for Hortense or Matilda when they were little kids.

And then he froze.

He expected her sharp senses to snap her awake gasping, her fighting response to kick in and her self-defense instincts to take over in order to subdue the perceived threat, and immediately braced himself for the heavy impact of a bruising hit that never came.

Instead, under his astonished eyes, Bentina sighed and her breathing evened out again, burying her face in the pillow and snuggling closer to his warmth, mumbling something incoherently.

He didn't know if she was fully aware of it yet. But whether on purpose or by chance, Bentina Beakley trusted him enough to allow herself to be vulnerable. 

And if, much to 22's confusion, his smile was a little bit too smug when the morning came and the sun rised, well, could you really blame him?

(It's Sea. Hi!!) may I be so humble as to request: Scrooge McDuck, existential crisis, 9a?

Thinking once again about Beakley and Scrooge post SoS and before the family moved in, and I'm going to be sick.

That's her best friend! They've been together through thick and thin, and she's seen him through highs and lows, but never like that. He's so hurt and angry, his misery has completely overtaken him.

Like, how do you miss someone who's right there?

He's like a shadow of the man she used to know. And she can't help him! Duckworth can't help him! Webby can't help him (and even if she could, it's not on her to fix him, she's a child, Beakley is not potentially putting her in the way of Scrooge's short temper and lashing out just for the chance it may work, no matter how much she wants for the two most important people in her life to get along.)!

He's pushing everyone and everything away, but he let her stay, so even if she could, she's not leaving.

Idk they make me a little bit insane.
