Tripodette concept art #1 My attempt of moe anthropomorphizing the fighting machines in H.G. Well's The War of the Worlds; based on Henrique Alvim CorrΓͺaβs illustrations. I think Tripodette sounds like a good name for this character.

Per last reblog, I have to talk about The Invisible Man (HOPA) game, because it introduced me to the OG book, my favorite literature *ever*, by H.G. Wells.
The game is a little dark lighting-wise, and it's hard to see in some Hidden Object scenes, but I enjoyed its mechanics and graphics otherwise! You play as Griffin's 'sweetheart', attempting to track him down and learn about the experiment that turned him invisible while he is being chased down.
The game's take on the original story and characterization of Dr. Griffin is a different conversation I can have, but I give special props to this game for being my first purchase on Big Fish Games, after locating it from my WildTangent days.
hey do you have any screencaps or playthroughs of the invisible man hidden object game?
also btw these hidden object games got cute boys in them :>
Sure, I opened the game and nabbed a few for you! I don't have any play-throughs, I've never recorded myself playing a Hidden Object game before (I've thought about taking up streaming for it but I don't know how many people would want to watch me play these games, haha). But I can link you to one!

When my sister was younger she was terrified of the Martians from War of The Worlds, and especially the little 'wwaaaaaaooo' sounds from the album anyway we had electric toothbrushes and I realised that by moving my mouth while I used it it made different sounds and I'd stand outside her room at night or while we were brushing our teeth and make the wwaaaaaoooo and scare her also I'm so sorry to anyone who actually read this I knew how to phrase exactly 0% of this post have a nice day

We should strive to welcome change and challenges, because they are what help us grow. With out them we grow weak like the Eloi in comfort and security. We need to constantly be challenging ourselves in order to strengthen our character and increase our intelligence.

You know what they say; adapt or be eaten by Morlocks.
Fandom Fact: Morlock Name Origin?
Some fans have speculated that Morlocks may be named for Moloch, an ancient Canaanite god which was associated with child sacrifice. Considering the child-like nature of the Eloi, this theory seems plausible, if creepy. Never hire a Morlock babysitter is all Iβm saying.
Itβs been a while and I decided to update my envisionment of the martian war machines as described in The War of the Worlds! + Bonus Martian

The Invisible Man (1933) by James Whale.
Based on H.G. Wells' 1897 novel, "The Invisible Man: A Grotesque Romance."
James Whale at, perhaps, his most Whale-ish. Unyielding, cutting and misanthropic. A funny, creepy, and brisk story of madness.
Definitely one of Universal's creepiest monsters.
