being a years long jekyll & hyde fan means having several different people all separately show you the tweet that says "the opposite of formaldehyde is casualdejekyll"

So ik that in the time period Jekyll and Hyde was released it was weird to call people by their first name unless you knew them rlly rlly well but it's so funny that Jekyll and Hyde never used eachother's first names

I get Jekyll probably didn't want to show how close they were but I love that he even does it throughout the confession. Imagine telling your best friend about your dickhead alternate personality and being like 'so yeah MR HYDE did this'

Every time I post smth on my rp account I forgot to switch back and then there's mr utterson yapping about drawing

While he is investigating, someone is busy criticizing

But like way more antihero than regular vigilante yk? Hyde just fucking stabs doc OC's tentacles off (I don't know many spiderman villains)

I thought ab this for less than a minute bc I was zoning out thinking about Jekyll and listening to music (a fun passtime) and the spectacular spider man theme song started playing

So Lanyon and Jekyll, instead of bonding over being scientists, bond over loving superheroes (or perhaps being superheroes? Lanyon could be a spiderman from a different universe? Idk) or idk maybe science and superheroes

But yh Jekyll makes the thingy and becomes Hyde like normal and he decides he doesn't want to be a regular villain but he absolutely wants to beat the shit out of someone and becomes a "hero" called spiderman and makes a fake identity for Hyde.

Enfield is a fan of superheroes but thinks hyderman's methods are wrong and Utterson doesn't know a fucking thing unless he's told directly ofc so he waits by an area with loads of crime, hoping to see him in action

Eventually he does see 'spiderman' and he notices that he uses smth as a weapon that he knows belongs to Jekyll so he confronts Hyde

At first Jekyll can control when he becomes Hyde but more and more crimes happen and he starts transforming every time a supervillain does smth and he gets gradually angrier and more violent until he actually kills some villains

That's when he goes to Lanyon to help him stay normal bc it's stressing him out and he doesn't want to be spiderman anymore but Lanyon is now scared of his friend

I might say no one dies except Hyde (not Jekyll) and that after Hyde is gone Lanyon forgives Jekyll but that's just bc I want them to have a happy end lol

So I'm rewatching twilight again and Carlisle Cullen and Charlie Swan are so Jekyll and Utterson in a different universe. They even look like the mazm Jekyll and Utterson??

Respected doctor, loves his friends despite having to isolate himself sometimes due to keeping huge secret (is some kind of "monster"), like 90% in control (of becoming Hyde/making others vampires) but very calm about it because he believes he is fully in control

Knows practically nothing that's going on but is trying to find out how to protect his loved ones. Detectives (one paid, one self-proclaimed). Quite emotionally restricted (if that makes sense), cares a lot but struggles to show it over than in emergency situations

Just joined the Jekyll and Hyde fandom and one of my favorite songs I've been listening to on loop this month fits Jekyll so well

It's another will wood song - 2econd 2ight 2eer (that was fun, goodbye!)

And it's just so Jekyll coded!! I was listening to it a few days ago and it just clicked that almost every line was pure Jekyll (at least in my obsessed mindset)

You know what? I'm going to make a Dr. Henriette and Ms. Eleanor alternate universe. Which is a Jekyll and Hyde musical type of thing but instead of the gay men we love, they are lesbian women and Dr. Henriette struggles to be a doctor because of what society used to be before and creates Ms. Eleanor is her alter ego who lift women up by encouraging them and possibly kiss them so that women's rights existed in the 18th century instead happening very lately.

Just finished "The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde". Right after that suddenly realised, that during all the time while I was reading, my brain unexpectedly decided to come up with appearance for main characters.

I proudly present to your attention — Dr Jekyll looking like Avraam Lincoln and Mr Hyde like Joxter from Moomins.

I have just one question to my brain: WHY

Working on some redesigns for them. Jekyll is older, Hyde is well a shadow being- I really want to explore the idea of Jekyll’s disillusionment of Hyde. So what he sees as a transformation is different than how others see it.. I really don’t know how to explain this well so maybe I’ll draw something to explain my thoughts better-
