Hey everyone,
I won’t be posting or writing my theories for a bit. I feel really fucking shitty and I’m just not feeling it right now.
I hope you all understand, thank you.

Men are expected to be very strong creatures who shouldn’t cry; who are expected to just “man up” and deal with whatever comes their way. However, crying is a healthy and necessary thing for all people — including men. Crying can help to release stress hormones and toxins from the body and aid in soothing certain emotions. So many associate crying with pain or hurt, and sometimes crying is not to show those emotions at all but to show sincerity and honesty.
i think the worst part about sexual assault is the hatred that comes after. "was it my fault? was it the clothes i wore? the way i looked them in the eye? did i smile too much? did i not smile enough? did i laugh too boisterously and in doing so.. did i tempt them? is it my fault?"
it's not your fault. you can't change the outcome, you couldn't even if you knew. it's not your clothes, your smile, your hair, or your voice. it's them. you didn't ask for it, you didn't do anything to deserve it and you could never do anything to deserve sexual assault. you didn't want it and that's enough to say you didn't deserve it.
so forgive yourself. forgive yourself for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. forgive yourself for what you think you did to deserve it. forgive yourself. because it is no one's fault but theirs.
you didn't deserve it, so forgive yourself.
This is vent art I made when I wanted to hurt myself, so that I wouldn't. If you struggle with these types of urges, there are many other ways to cope, and the damage self harm can bring to you physically and mentally is not worth the temporary relief. Even if you don't cut, but hurt yourself in other ways, it's still damaging long term. Everyone is different, but I would recommend creating something, no matter what it is, or whether or not you're good at it. Self-expression is important, and sometimes it's not always safe or easy to express yourself to others. Writing, poetry, drawing, acting, singing, dancing, heck even lip-syncing to a song you relate to in the mirror, is helpful. Find some way to get the emotion out, and remember that your emotions are valid, and that it's not your fault. ❤️❤️❤️
