A Few Cool Things about Into The Deep!

I'm so nervous about releasing this. Lol.

I was inspired by a friend to make this thingy. Sort of a way to show off some of my stuff, ya know? Also, here's my friend's AU blog. (@ninjago-the-madness-leaders) It sounds super cool, so definitely check out if you want! Okay, let's get started!

1: Many mysteries from Master Of The Mountain will be solved. Can't say to much about that without spoiling things, but yeah!

2: It has plenty of fan service in terms of the canon ships. (I.E. Jaya, Kailor, Pixane.) The story flipping starts with a Jaya wedding. Lol. 💜💙🤍 🖤💙🧡 So if you're hungry for more content with them, it's got plenty!

3: It's inspired by classic literature from authors like C.S. Lewis, Tolkien, and Jules Vern.

4: It has Cole x Vania in it! (Yeah, I guess most people don't go for it. But if you dooooo, this definitely the fan season for you! Because they have plenty of cute moments!🤍🖤💛)

5: We get to take a deep look into the characters and who they are, along with what shaped the them. (You could say the title "Into The Deep" has a double meaning.)

6: It has plenty of fun new characters. Some including Rocky, Cole's Grandfather. Morgratha, the Amber Witch. And Digger, her henchman.

An excerpt from a little rewrite I've been working on...

“Hey, you think you've tightened that bolt enough there, Sparky?.”

“Huh?” 

Jay looked down at the last bolt in the mini catapult he had been working on.

The bolt was, indeed, very well tightened. 

“The bolt. It’s tight. You should probably move on.” 

“Oh, uh, yeah.”, Jay said, embarrassed, as he set his wrench down on the floor.

He sat down next to the wrench, staring at the wooden floor boards, attempting to gather his thoughts.

When his mind felt somewhat clear, he looked up again at Nya. 

Nya had this look on her face, but only for a second, gone in a flash. 

Compassion? Concern? Worry?

No, it was “pity” Jay realized.  

He resented that a bit.

I'm not the best writer, but I do enjoy it!

I hope you guys enjoy this snippet too!

I want to post the whole fic (a rewrite of the lighthouse scenes from "Skybound") once I finish it. But I still have a while to go before it's done, so it won't be soon.

Dragons Rising Season 2 Spoilers!!!

I have a lot of thoughts on the new season, but this is one of them.

Nya, sweetie.... You have a big storm coming.🥺

The angst potential when they finally find each other! It's going to be so good and yet hurt so bad!!!

(Also, "the love of my life." That's it, guys. I'm deceased. I will never recover.)

(Also, "Nya slowly becoming more comfortable with outward displays of affection and speaking her feelings around others" character arc, my beloved. That's just one of my headcannons for her okay. 🥲)

I have seen some discussion on "small" v.s. "muscled" Jay, and I have decided to throw my opinion out there.

Both. In my mind, he is both.

Okay, hear me out.

My little bro has this one friend who is a literal string bean. He just has a really lanky body type, I guess. You look at this kid and think, "Oh, he hasn't lifted a weight in his life."

But then, as boys often do when hanging with the homies, this kid will flex, and you'll realize... this kid is ripped. Like you don't expect it at all.

That's how I imagine Jay. A little on the smaller side, but under the baggy gi, this guy is toned.

I need some gang member or something to spout some insult about Jay being the "weak link" only to be immediately knocked out by the lightning ninja's critical hit uper-cut.

And Nya's just smiling smugly while puching another criminals face in, because she's trained with him. She's seen him in his black tank top when they spar. She knows about how Jay beat Kai in an arm wrestling contest that one time. (Much to Kai's disappoint)

I think Nya likes to see Jay fighting at his full potential. (We have Canon confirmation from the writers that he does pull his punches when using his element.) I think she likes to see him go absolutely ape and show everyone what he's really capable of. ("Yeah, that's right, you show um, babe!" mentality)

Why do they both seem like the type to yell across the battle field at each other.

"Yeah! Let's go! Kick their butt honey!"

(So, this just ended up turning into Jaya headcannons because I can't restrain myself, apparently. But I hope you enjoyed none the less. 😊)

This song is so Jaya coded to me!

I see it as Jay trying his best to respect Nya's wishes and treat her as a friend, but still grappling with his deeper feelings for her.

And Nya desperately wanting to prove herself, having been tainted by the mindset that falling in love is weak, trying her hardest to not fall for Jay all over again.

It can totally work from both of their perspectives! I just...aaaahhhhhggghh!!!! 🥹

Ninjago Treasure Planet Au

So, I watched "Treasure Planet" and, um....I made this. Took me forever cause I just kept adding more frames as I went. Will I expand on this AU? Maybe? I already have a couple writing projects going at the moment so it might be a bit before I get to it.

Funnily enough, when in the middle of animating, I saw this comic posted by @crypticscarecrow that is also a "Treasure Planet" Ninjago AU. Great minds think alike! Can't wait to see more of your version! It looks quite intriguing!

BONUS

(Don't worry, Cole is indeed concerned for Nya. He's just not passing up a chance to tease the new guy.)

In my version, Nya is the captain of a solar ship, and the rest of the ninja are her crew. Jay joins as a mechanic for the solar engines so he can try to earn some money. Edna was not particularly keen on the idea of her son going to space, but Jay and Ed finally convinced her to let him go. Selling junk doesn't make much money, and Jay isn't the type of person to just sit around when he can do something to help others, especially his parents.

In this scene, the crew is hiding out in a cave after a particularly nasty fight with the dreaded pirate crew of the "Misfortune's Keep," which is led by the infamous pirate captain Nadakahn. Nya was, unfortunately, injured quite badly in the fight that ensued. After their ship "The Bounty" was commandeered, the crew found shelter on the planet below them.

The crews positions are as follows.

Nya: Captin

Kai: First Mate

Zane: Helmsman

Cole: Amunitions Officer

Lloyd: Seaman

Jay: Engine Mechanic

Look at them all!!!!! I love seeing people's different interpretations of fan kids! It totally looks like Lily's hair is glowing like Cole's lava arms! AndJulia looks like such a mischievous little child with that smile. I bet she gets herself and her brother into shenanigans.
