Game: Ikemen Prince

Type: Headcanons

Characters : All the characters

Warnings : Kind of spoilery, I hope it is okay, lol,my English, the characters might be ooc.

Konnichiwa~ How About...family Headcanons For Ikepri Suitors???? You Can Chose Whoever You Want~ Thank

~Chevalier Michel

🔹Chevalier becomes a bit more gentle when you two start your own family.

🔹Sometimes, you catch him smiling at your children and playing with their chubby cheeks. They always giggle and hug him.

🔹He tries to tell them how much he loves them, more with his actions and not so much with words. But they know he absolutely loves them.

🔹"I love you too." You heard him once say. You peeked inside the library and saw your handsome husband kneeling in front of the youngest, who was crying. The moment your kid heard that, he/she was grinning as he/she threw himself/herself at Chevalier.

🔹Then Cheva walked out (after a lot of awkward but comfortable cuddles on a small chair.

"Chevalier?" You said his name.

"What?" You smiled and asked.

"What did you say before?" Chevalier frowned.

"Nothing that concerns you, dummy." You laughed as he walked away.

🔹Once, you went to wake Chevalier in your shared bedroom, only to see a large lump and a lot of smaller ones, covered with the fluffy blankets.

🔹Now you have to wake them all up, but you gave up a few hours later and slept with them.

🔹Chevalier is very clever and very strong so, sometimes, he teaches his children.

🔹Every night, he reads them to sleep.

~Clavis Lelouch

🔹You were in for it when you agreed to start a family with Clavis.

🔹If your children didn't look like him, they surely took his character.

🔹Clavis will be coming back after work and instead of being greeted with deep bows from the maids, he gets greeted with buckets full of sparkly confetti and glitter.

🔹He is very proud of them but he doesn't want you to have a lot of headaches.

🔹Clavis always makes time to play with his children. He is being sweet and he helps them however he can.

🔹He teaches them to not be too open with suspicious people and if they get in trouble, he shows them how to get out of it.

🔹He let's them keep pets. And if you're allergic to furr, it's okay! None of these pets have furr at all! They can be from small, little snakes to big birds and fishes.

🔹He is trying his best.

🔹Your children love him and they show it all the time.

🔹Clavis is getting attacked with love, which he wasn't used to. He was completely shocked. In the end, he got used to it and he adores it.

🔹There will be days where you'll wake up with sketches on your face and your husband laughing with your children.

🔹They are very adorable when they're sleeping together, Clavis arm wrapped protectively around them (and you, of course).

~Leon Dompteur

🔹Leon is a very loving man. You and the family you both made are his oxygen. You're the most important reason to keep loving and enjoying life at the fullest.

🔹There are days where Leon has finished with training his army, so he takes you and your children for rides with his horse.

🔹You ride in the city and go straight to the food section.

🔹He spoils his children very much, you have to stop him. Do they like sweets? He'll walk through hell to buy cakes, chocolates and everything else. (or ask Yves to bake fresh cakes, lolol). Do they not like sweets? What are those? He never heard of them. (He still eats them.)

🔹Leon always tries to find new activities, just to make sure his children are having fun in the palace, or outside.

🔹Everytime they do something troublesome, like breaking glasses and plates with their father, they try to play innocent.

🔹If they have nightmares, Leon will help them through them.

🔹He always tells them that they don't have to 'stop seeing nightmares' to be brave. Braveness is when they search for someone they trust, because opening up is harder than keeping it inside.

"But dad, when I'm sad and I don't tell anyone... am I weak?" Leon wiped his kid's tears away.

"No. You are strong. But if it is something too hard to keep to yourself, you can share it with anyone you trust."

~Yves Kloss

🔹Yves is a big tsundere and he is shy. So, when you asked for a family, he blushed and tried to deny it. It wasn't working.

🔹His eyes light up everytime he looks at his children. They're the most adorable children in the world. And his world is made with you and them. You are all the matters.

🔹After his royal duties, he bakes cakes, the children are decorating and you have to watch the chaos.

🔹Before having a family of his own, he found it bothersome and annoying to have things all over the place, but he got used to it.

🔹He is sneaking kittens in the palace for them to feed and pet. Where did those stray kittens you show on the street when you were shopping? Yves doesn't have any idea what are you talking about, but you now have to sleep in your shared bed with foolur freshly bathed kittens.

"Are you sure you don't know them? They look comfortable around you." You said, your brow raised. The kittens were sleeping on him. He blushed and glared at you.

"Hmph, I don't know them! No, lay down Snowflake, we aren't fighting with your mom." He stroked the white furr and the small animal fell asleep again.

🔹He gives to the children gorgeous clothes and he brushed their hair, putting it in the best hairstyles.

🔹At night, he praises them for being kind.

~Luke Randolph

🔹Luke grew up in a bad environment, so he makes sure that his children won't ever have to grow up like that. He could give his life in a blink of the eye to do that.

🔹He doesn't spoil his children too much, because he wants them to be down to earth. For him, his role as a prince is not important, but his family is.

🔹The children are tripping on his long legs while they're playing outside and he sleeps.

🔹Luke is a Disney Prince. That means all the animals love him. He gently cradles small fragile butterflies, or cute little birds to show them.

🔹Luke is taking them for walks in the forest. As the time goes on, more and more animals are attached to their gentleness.

🔹If anyone dares mess with his children, they are in for a big surprise. Luke will take them down and fight them until he is sure that they won't bother them again. He won't kill someone though, only hurt them enough for his family's safety.

~Sariel Noir

🔹Sariel is a very busy man and you know that. So when he asked you if you wanted a family, you were super exited.

🔹By the time your children are born, their bedrooms and everything inside is already ready to use.

🔹Sariel seems pretty strict, but he has a soft spot for your family.

🔹He helps them study all their lessons. If they don't understand something, he'll go out of his way to search it up and give them all the information he gathered.

🔹After babysitting the Princes, he takes a few books filled with fairytales and reads to them in his soothing voice.

🔹Sariel loves his kids dearly and he protects them from harm, even if it means being in the shadows.

🔹The children love to hug him and cling on him, while he is giving lectures to the Princes. (translation = scolding Clavis.)

🔹Sariel was lonely before, so he won't let anyone hurt his family. He'll let his people "clean up the dirt".

🔹Sariel kind of spoils his children, and you, because he is weak for your eyes and pouts.

~Licht Klein

🔹Licht seems distant from afar, but his family gets to see his true colours.

🔹Whenever his children are playing or doing something else (that isn't harmful), he smiles softly, his red eyes fill with love and adoration.

🔹He is scared that someday, they'll have the same bad luck his brother and he had.

🔹That's why he always keeps an eye on them.

🔹Licht was never troubled if he died, until one of his children told him he/she loved him so much, that he/she will make him the proudest dad in the world.

🔹Licht's eyes are wide open and he thinks about his choices again. He'll have to live in order to help them grow up.

🔹He is very supportive with their choices, unless it's something bad for them.

🔹At nights, he sings to put them to sleep, his smooth voice calming the down completely.

🔹You can find the m all sleeping together on a chair.

🔹He won't admit it, but he loves sweet food and his children are no better.

~Nokto Klein

🔹Nokto became a whole new person when you had your children.

🔹He still stayed playful for them.

🔹Nokto is happy when they are happy, he is sad when they're sad...

🔹He despises it when they hurt themselves, physically or not.

🔹He is also scared like Licht. He doesn't want then away from each other. He wants for them to be happy.

🔹Before they were born, he was scared that he wouldn't turn out to be a good father. He was scared of rejection.

🔹He lived with the same fear, until his children run up to him and hugged his legs.

"Dad! Thank you for taking us with you! We love you so much!" They said happily.

🔹Nokto.exe has stopped working.

"I love you too." He quickly hugs them to his chest, trying to keep the tears in.

🔹He is teasing them (in a good way) till there's no tomorrow. (with uncle Clavis).

🔹The children, with your help are making presents for him. He gets so happy!

🔹His past self still haunts him, but he doesn't let himself fall. He is strong.

🔹Nokto doesn't take risky jobs anymore. He takes better care of himself for the sake of his family.

🔹When stormy nights fall, his strong arms are ready to close you and the kids to his heart. It's his promise of never letting go, even in the scariest times.

~Rio Ortiz

🔹Rion is as exited as a puppy!

🔹Right after they are born, they are in his arms, cuddled up to him.

🔹Rio travels with them in other places (for personal reasons). He shows them all around and does anything they ask.

🔹Are they hungry? A whole buffet is made for them.

🔹They have his heart and mind. Sometimes, he is scared they'll think he is annoying, but they always tell him how much they love him.

🔹He takes time off his work and plays with them in the garden or in their Rooms.

🔹He always hear their problems. If he can help it, he'll tskr care of them.

🔹Rio won't let others hurt his children. If someone tries and he is in front of the scene, his hand might slip and he the other guys might get hurt.

🔹At night, he cuddle with them and they all wait for you to read them to sleep.

~Jin Grandet

🔹Jin was feeling bashful. He really wanted a family with the most beautiful person in the world (you).

🔹Like almost everyone else, his character changed a bit. He spends more time with his family.

🔹His children like to climb on his back and go fit walks. His back hurts, but are they happy? They it's worth it. End of the conversation.

🔹There are days where he is too tired so he takes food and drinks (not alcohol) and sets them on the king sized bed with you and the kids.

🔹He is manipulating Yves to cook (lol), but Yves does it for his nephew(s) /niece(s).

🔹If the children are terrified from the nightmares or other scary things outside of the windows, they'll run to him, crushing him on your bed.

🔹When morning comes, they are all over the bed, sleeping soundly.

THE END~

AN: I'm writing from my phone now, but I'll fix it when I'll get my laptop!

NadiaSilver~

Also, fun fact: When I first started the game, I fell asleep while reading/listening the prologue, because Sariel and Chevalier were speaking! I love their voices and I want them to put me to sleep every night, lololol.

The Perfect Gift

"It's your birthday, not mine, baby." You chuckled, popping the lollipop Jin handed you in your mouth and swirling it around on your tongue.

"No matter what day it is, I have to spoil my girl. Didn't you know that? Besides," he said, sitting down on the edge of the bed. "Something sweet before something sweeter never hurt." He winked, sending a vicious shiver down your spine that came to rest right in your core. This was the first moment you'd caught with Jin alone all day; The First Prince's birthday was quite the event in the palace, and he'd had visitors from all over the kingdom come to wish him well. But you had promised to wish him well in a… different sort of way, in matters of more sensual pursuit. You could tell he was excited to see what you had in store for him, as you told him that you would be treating him this time.

You were excited too, and yet you couldn't help but be a little nervous alongside it. You weren't used to taking control in the bedroom, but since his birthday was only once a year, you wanted to let him sit back and enjoy. Could the lollipop be a prop? Maybe I could use it for something. Or wouldn't that be too sticky? Well, we're going to be sticky anyway…

Your thoughts raced as you stepped forward to get to work on Jin's buttons, unfastening and tugging to make the material more cooperative. Jin must have sensed your unease, because in one moment you were staring down a particularly stubborn button, and in the next, you were met with the backs of Jin's massive hands covering your own tenderly.

"Hey," he murmured, coaxing your eyes up to meet his. "It doesn't have to be perfect. Nothing has to be perfect. I love you, and I think you're sexy no matter what you do, even when you're passed out cold with your mouth open and your hair sticking up everywhere." A laugh burst out of you as the sincerity of his words wrapped an unseen blanket of warmth around your heart. You truly didn't deserve this man.

His encouragement had lit a spark inside of you, and you kissed his lips in thanks before pulling apart the rest of his buttons and dropping his vest in the floor beside you. You nearly groaned in frustration at the presence of more buttons on his undershirt, but you stopped yourself, realizing that a wonderful opportunity had just been presented to you. So you pressed closer to Jin and took hold of the tops of his clothed thighs, spreading them apart to make room for you to stand between them, and nestled into the newly available space. A stolen glance at Jin's face brought your awareness to his intrigued smirk, but he stayed silent, intent on letting you have your way. You let your hands roam your lover's chiseled body as you dipped your head to his shirt buttons, working them undone one by one with your teeth and tongue, and kissing every newly exposed patch of skin after the fact before moving on to the next.

He hummed contentedly above you while you worked, absorbing the devotion you bestowed on him, relishing the feeling of being loved, and loved properly. He still wasn't fully sure he understood why you loved him so much, but to see you so happy to love him, he couldn't turn you away, and if he really admitted the truth to himself, he didn't want to turn you away; not anymore. A clink and a tug in his lower region snapped Jin back into the present. You had already taken care of his shirt and tie, and had moved on to his trousers. 'You're so beautiful,' he thought to himself as you tugged his trousers loose and met his eyes. 'And so damn sexy.' He took the hint and stood, letting you pull his pants and his boxers down in one go.

You were never let down by how much Jin stiffened for you, and gawping at his impressive shaft was never out of the question. This time was no different as he sprang free of his boxers, already half erect and eagerly awaiting your touch. Before your thoughts caught up with you, you had pulled the lollipop from your mouth with a pop! and had taken the tip of your lover's length between your lips instead, bobbing up and down on it hungrily, tasting the remnants of the cherry flavor on your tongue as you swept it across the dips and veins of his cock. He groaned and bucked against you involuntarily, so you pressed your hands against the beautiful dipping V of his hips to steady him as you pulsed around his growing member.

When he was satisfactorily throbbing, you replaced his cock with the lollipop in your mouth again and pushed him back onto the plush pillows gently with one hand. "Watch." You commanded softly and derobed yourself, letting his eyes feast on your supple skin as the constraints of your clothes fell away. You watched his gaze fix on your breasts, and you bounced them in your hands for him, savoring how his cock twitched at the mere sight of them. You tweaked your nipples and lowered over his cock, taking it into the valley between them and pushing them together to surround it. You watched Jin's mouth fall slack as you began to slide his shaft up and down between the swells of your breasts and fuck him with your tits.

"Oh, fuck." He groaned, his head thudding back onto the pillow as though he'd lost the strength to hold it up.

You continued to suck on the cherry lollipop while you pressed your tits together on either side of Jin's hardened length, bouncing up and down lasciviously. His precum drizzled onto your breasts and you hummed around the candy in your mouth, closing your eyes in order to properly lose yourself in the sensation.

"Babygirl, I-" the hoarseness of his voice had you easing off of his straining cock and crawling up his body, hungrily taking in the vast expanse of his heaving chest, laid out and pretty, just for you.

"Mmm Jin," you moaned, tasting his name on your tongue and reveling in how sick with need you sounded. His face was fully flush and his gaze unguarded, staring up at you with unbridled lust and awe. You wanted to keep him that way, pliant and writhing beneath you, until you squeezed the last drop of his seed out of him and into you. You discarded the lollipop on the bedside table, eager to taste something more carnal instead.

Bracing yourself against his pec, you let your thumb take a few swipes across his hardened peak and he buckled harder beneath you, his stomach muscles contracting beneath your bare core. "You wanna be a good boy for me, Jin?" You murmured, reaching behind you with your other hand to tap his erected shaft against your plush ass. He groaned in response, fighting everything within himself to flip you over and fuck you senseless. Instead, he settled with a harsh nod, unsure of what else you had in store, but certain that any sort of progression was better than the intensity of this waiting.

"Mmm I'm so glad." You hummed, giving him a generous stroke before using your other hand as leverage to drag your damp core across his abdominal muscles, a sigh escaping your lips at the friction it so graciously gave to you. Jin's muscles slackened and you stole a glance at his face, which had stilled in near-shock to watch your pussy glide across him. Internally, you giggled, pleased that you could throw him off guard like this, but at the same time, you needed to remedy this fairly quickly. You slid your left hand up to the tip of his leaking member and pressed the pad of your thumb onto the tip.

"Urgh-" He grunted, his muscles tensing back up immediately.

"Now you keep that stomach nice and tight for me, handsome." You purred, leaning forward to capture his hungry lips with your own before sliding forward on his protruding stomach muscles and moaning softly into his mouth. He swallowed your sounds with fervor, keeping an ironclad grip on your hips; you couldn't wait to see his large, encompassing handprints there for weeks.

He helped rock you back and forth on his abs, taking over moving you as you lost yourself to the sensation; head thrown back, eyes closed, and mouth open, his name dripping from your lips like the juices at your base. You felt the heat rushing to your core and you slowed, enjoying each protrusion along his abdomen with your slick center, enough to keep the reddened flush on your skin, but not enough to send you over the edge. After several more enticing swipes across your lover's abs, you sat back on your haunches and observed the pooling liquid you had left behind in between each muscle, claiming him as your own.

You smiled, your eyes still glazed over with need, pleased that you had this wonderful man all to yourself. But you couldn't lose sight of your goal now, and reached back behind you to give Jin's length several promising pumps. He twitched, his garnet eyes never straying from yours as you began to lavish him again.

Suddenly, he growled. "Babygirl, of you don't hurry up, I'm gonna-"

"Shh…" you cooed, leaning forward to claim his lips and letting your tits drag in your slick before presenting them to him to partake of. He wasted no time and palmed them with his sizable hands before taking a nipple into his mouth and sucking, groaning as he realized what they were coated with.

"Fuck, baby, you taste so good." He grunted, licking and suckling your breasts until they were sore and sensitive and placing a gentle kiss on each stiffened nipple before releasing you to scoot back onto his lap. You already felt like you might burst when you raised onto your knees and lined your entrance with Jin's throbbing member, but you lost the edge of the sensation as Jin's cock stretched you and a twinge of pain lit up your insides.

You must have been grimacing, because you felt Jin's fingers find your clit and begin to work it, whispering sweet words as you adjusted. "You've got it, babygirl, I know you do." He murmured, his fingers working magic on your sensitive nub. You cried out as he worked you open and allowed your eyes to roll back in your head as he helped you lower down onto him further, until he was fully sheathed inside of you. "Just like that, baby." Jin choked in a whisper. "Like it was made for you." He purred, his hands returning to your breasts to play with your nipples while he awaited your next move.

You let yourself sit still on him for a few moments, feeling each spasm of his cock inside of you; each vein and cavity moving against your throbbing core, and you nearly lost yourself then, but you continued to edge yourself on him and let out a wanton moan when your walls clenched around him suddenly. Your eyes and mind had closed to everything but Jin's girth all the way inside you, but purposeful hands on your hips brought you back to reality, pulling you forward to curve the shaft inside of you at a different angle, where it reached that perfect spot inside of you.

"J-Jin!" You cried out as he worked you back and forth on his cock, plunging deeper inside of you when his own hips came up to meet you. "Ah!" Your cries were coming swiftly now, plentiful in the silence between skin slapping skin. His groans came to join you as he held you in place while he rutted up into you from below.

"Urgh- fuck!" He grunted as your walls began to clench and spasm around his member.

"Jiiiiiin!" You mewled, the pleasure overtaking you as your orgasm ripped through your body. "Ah! Ah!" You continued to cry out as Jin spilled his seed into you, his hands now clenching your buttcheeks to keep you firmly seated on him while you received his cum. You shook violently, thankful you had nowhere to go but Jin's broad chest, and once your highs began to fade, that is where you landed. Your mouth was close enough to enclose one of his nipples in a blissed out kiss and flick of your tongue before turning your face upward to meet his lips with your own.

"Mmmm happy birthday, Jin." You giggled softly between sensuous kisses.

"I don't see how my birthday could get any better." He murmured onto your lips.

"I do." You replied, a smile creeping onto your face.

"Oh yeah? How's that?" He asked dubiously.

"Yves and I made a cake." You smiled proudly, stroking his bare chest with your fingertips.

"Ooh, two desserts in a single afternoon. I do think it got better." He chuckled, then tilted your chin further up to capture your lips again. "And by this evening it'll be three." He winked and your blush returned almost immediately. You snickered and kissed him again.

"You've gotta let me rest before you mess me up like that again."

"You rested before you met me."

"Jin!"

A raucous laughter escaped him as you whacked his arm playfully before settling once again into his warm embrace. "Alright, alright, we'll rest."

"And shower."

"Showers don't count as rest."

"Jin!"

He laughed loudly again and pulled you impossibly closer. "Kidding. I love you, baby."

"I love you too." And with this last admission, you drifted to sleep, encased in your lover's warmth.

First Of Many - Chapter 1: First Prince

First of Many - Chapter 1: First Prince

Chapter List

Word Count: ~3900

Chapter Content Warnings: None

A/N: It finally begins! This isn't quite a birthday fic, but having the deadline really pushed me to finishing this chapter. Introductions are not my strong suit, so I'm hoping the following chapters will be easier now that this hurdle has been cleared.

For more details and spoiler/content warnings, please refer to the chapter list (linked above). Glad to have you along for this journey!

First Of Many - Chapter 1: First Prince

It wasn’t supposed to happen like this. After all, there are only so many ways an assassination attempt could end up. Either the target is dead or alive, and the assassin captured or home-free. Jin didn’t focus much on the middle details because only the ending really mattered. But as he stood in front of the still-living king, tears spilling down the throne instead of blood, he couldn’t help but wonder at what point it all went wrong.

Minutes dragged on in awkward glances and involuntary fidgeting, but Jin remained rooted to his spot. Perhaps he jumped too quickly to conclusions. Sunset spilled through the high windows like a fiery flood, blazing every surface in the room a deep red, from the scarlet walls to the ruby throne to the king’s crimson hair. It was entirely possible what he saw before was only a trick of the light. If he could get one more look into those eyes, he’d see it was all his imagination. Then he’d pick himself up and leave this place forever.

But the king’s face was still buried in his hands, and he was sobbing harder than ever.

Why was he crying? If anyone should be crying it was Jin. Jin, who spent the past year scraping by on the scraps of tithers without a second glance. Who worked at the mercy of scum and cheats pulling the weight of men multiple times his age. Who lost his entire world in an instant, and scoured mountains and valleys on foot just to answer why. Why had this all happened to him?

“Your Majesty!” called a deep voice. The doors burst open with a clamor of metal and swishing of robes. Men barreled over the threshold, pushing past and knocking into each other in their advance on the throne. Stunned, Jin covered his head and ducked away from the stampede.

“We heard yelling!”

“What has happened, Your Majesty?”

“Where is the child?”

The voices carried across the high ceilings as Jin crawled into a corner. He lost his chance. These men, they surely have come to dispose of him like the criminal he was.

But he had to know. He needed to know the truth before they took him away. Clutching his heaving chest, Jin craned his neck as high as he could manage, though he could barely see above the swords adorning the men’s hips as they besieged the throne. He slowly pushed his quivering knees to stand, heart rattling against his palm, and approached the congregation. He could just make out sunlight glinting off the crown when a voice screeched from his side.

“There he is!”

And many things happened in quick succession. All eyes turned on him, and aside from the king’s renewed tears and a ringing that sprouted in Jin’s ears, the room fell deathly silent. A man in dark plum robes barked orders. The company parted, creating a path between the throne and Jin. Through it, six armored men approached, extracting their swords from their sheaths.

The ringing intensified as the soldiers grew closer. Jin’s feet were glued to the blood-red carpet. He hugged his chest and crouched, burrowing his face in his knees. His eyes stung and he shut them tightly. He was not like the king. He wouldn’t give them the satisfaction of seeing him cry when they ended it. It would be quick and over with. Then they could forget about the orphan boy who ever dared point a blade at royalty.

But the blade never fell. Blinking through the blinding light, Jin slowly raised his head. The soldiers stood in a circle, backs towards him, pointing their swords at the now dispatched bystanders.

“Can you stand?” a soldier to the right asked. He looked over his shoulder, armor flickering in the sun. Jin opened his mouth but no sound came out. Instead, he tightened his taut legs and stood. The soldier nodded to the others, and as a unit they began to march. Jin had little choice but to follow in their procession toward the door.

This made sense; why sully the illustrious throne room with the blood of a lowly crook? They were taking him to a second location, far away from the prying eyes of those highbred hoity toits.

The hallways were steep and cavernous. They reminded Jin of the caves he slept in on his journey; cold, and stiff, and echoing. But unlike his dark, desolate caves, these halls were gleaming and littered with eyes.

Eyes peering from behind gloves and fans and books and hats and folded sheets and boxed goods and emblazoned shawls and fur coats and people… all pointed squarely at Jin. He could see faces behind those eyes, some were whispering to each other or gasping as he passed, but none looked human. They all towered above him, like beasts trying to catch a glimpse of the latest prey on the chopping block.

Even though he couldn’t hear what they were saying, their piercing gazes clambored in his head like bells. He turned away and stared out the colossal windows lining the opposite wall, desperate to refocus his thoughts. The sun dipped lower now, casting uniform shadows crawling across the floors. Window panels and valances and curtains stretched along the floors as homogeneously as the soldiers surrounding him, and Jin timed his breaths with each repeating pattern.

Curtain, valence, panel, curtain, breathe. Curtain, valence, panel, curtain, breathe.

It seemed to be working. The sounds of the soldiers’ stomping were clearing up.

Curtain, valence, panel, curtain, breathe.

He lowered his arms from his chest and rested them at his sides. His knife sat comfortably in his pocket. They hadn’t taken it from him.

Curtain, valence, panel, curtain, breathe.

There were six of them and one of him. Not a single one was facing him, they were too busy pushing the audience to the sides and keeping them at bay. They passed by various branching corridors, many of which were empty.

Curtain, valence, panel… bump?

Jin halted his steps and whipped his head to the last set they passed. Where the other curtains hung immobile and wrinkle-free, this one had a tiny fist clutching onto its edge. Directly below its tasseled holdback, a small head stuck out from behind the fabric, though against the early rays of twilight Jin could only make out the eyes. Two protuberant eyes, as golden and resplendent as the setting sun behind them.

They were most unlike the eyes of the other onlookers. While those were invasive and grim and glaring at him from high above, these were soft and curious and at his level. For a reason he couldn’t explain, Jin wanted to call out to them, but the soldier positioned in the rear knocked into him as he backed up.

“Keep moving,” the soldier commanded as they untangled from each other. Jin tossed a final glance at the curtain and watched it sway unoccupied before continuing to walk. He could not fall into the breathing pattern again.

As soon as the soldier returned to formation, Jin extracted the parchment sitting in his back pocket. Sighing in relief it wasn’t ruined, he unfolded the paper and read the words now permanently etched into his brain:

Jin, you must never go anywhere near Rhodolite Palace. If you go near that place, they might kill you.

He ran his fingers across the fading script, taking extra care not to crease it any more than it already was. Hundreds of times he’d folded and unfolded the paper to the point where he feared it would tear even if he so much as looked at it the wrong way. But he would never let that happen. It was the only proof of her existence. He could claim she raised him and hugged him and loved him, but recitals could only travel so far. Someone here had to know about her. And even if they took his life before he could meet them, at least her words would still be preserved. He slipped the parchment back into his pocket.

But what good would that do after he was gone? Would they know he was her son? That he braved across kingdoms in search of answers? Of the trials and tribulations he endured on his quest for the truth? The thought that he would be forgotten didn’t worry him as much as if she was. Of all the stories she told about Rhodolite, of its grandeur and nobility, he could not understand how there could be anything or anyone more deserving of such titles than she.

A soft click from behind broke him out of his thoughts. Panic stabbed Jin’s limbs anew as he turned and latched on to the door handle, jiggling it frantically, but to no avail. The door stood stubborn and unmoving, just as his mind had been. Why had he let himself get so caught up in his thoughts when he knew precisely the danger he was in? Now he was paying for his buffoonery; they’d gone and thrown him in a dungeon until they figured out how to get rid of him.

Would they get it done quickly? Those guards certainly didn’t seem shy about splaying their weapons. Or would they leave him to starve? The terrifying gazes of the people in the hallway resurfaced. Did nobles get a sick sense of satisfaction watching their prisoners descend into madness? They were certainly puzzling with their execution. Who puts a gilded door knob in a prison cell?

Jin pried his sweaty hands off the brass handle and turned. The room was dark, save for the final bursts of sunset fighting through thick window curtains. In their faint rays he could make out tiny specs of dust scattering through the air as he caught his breath, and he wiped his fraying sleeves across his forehead while his eyes adjusted to the darkness.

Definite objects soon swam into view. Nearest to him stood a tall brown cabinet, easily three times his size, with handles that sparkled even more magnificently in the dim light than the one on the door. On the opposite wall near the window sat a short writing desk with nothing on it except a wide oval mirror, a half-melted candlestick, and a visible layer of dust. Taking up the majority of the center of the room was a bed, a large white cloth draped over its entirety.

Though the furniture was all comfortably well distanced, Jin still cautiously wound his way across the room, taking care not to knock into anything, and ripped open the curtains. As he suspected, the ground lay what seemed like a mile below, and the sun cradled back against the horizon as though goading him to try and jump.

What was the cause of the delay, he thought again. Stubbornness started to take over as his mind calmed down in the quiet. Were they postponing his end in favor of something else? Jin understood children were prone to impatience, but making him wait for his own death seemed excessively rude.

He pressed his hand on his back, the familiar warmth of the oily parchment seeping into his back. This wasn’t the end. There had to be a way out. He refused to stay put waiting for them to make the first move.

Jin pulled on the curtains until they ripped free from their hangings. Coughing out the dust that fell, he tied the two ends together and triple-knotted one end of the extended curtain around his waist. He tossed the unused remains of the curtain away from the windowsill and pushed on the glass. The wooden frame creaked loudly with a crunchiness indicating it hadn’t been opened in years, but Jin managed to wrench it open with several well-timed shoves. He grabbed the other free end of the curtain, tossed it out into the cool night air, and watched it lazily fall about a quarter of the distance to the ground.

Chuffing angrily, Jin reeled the curtains back in and began searching around the room for more fabric. One touch of the cloth covering the bed was enough to tell him it wouldn’t work; the material was so flimsy he could rip it apart without much difficulty. And the bed itself was free of blankets and bedsheets. The desk proved little use as well. It was too wobbly to tie a base too, and he couldn’t manage to open its drawers no matter how much he shook it.

This left the cabinet, which Jin partially hoped he wouldn’t have to search. He hadn’t feared monsters hiding in the closet for sometime now, but he’d never looked inside the closet of a rich person, much less a palace. Could this be where they hid the remains of those poor souls they imprisoned? Shuddering slightly, he grasped the cold metallic handle and pulled.

It wasn’t filled with monsters or bodies. It wasn’t even filled with severed limbs or bloodied weapons, which Jin considered briefly. No, the cabinet was overflowing with dresses. A veritable rainbow of the poofiest dressed Jin had ever seen. Gentle lilac and bold cobalt and striking olive assaulted his view as the compressed gowns expanded to full width in their newfound freedom, and Jin madly swung his arms to cut through their fluffy embrace. Once his hand whacked against wood, he climbed inside and continued his search, blindly groping the contents until he at last located a pile of folded sheets.

Cheering internally (the plush skirts muffled his voice), Jin clambered out of the closet and extracted his knife. He sliced the sheets into shears, not caring how neat the cuts came out, and quickly began tying the ends together as he did before. Night fell rapidly around him, and Jin wished his captors would have had the decency to leave a candle in his cell. Not that he was afraid of the dark. He wasn’t that young. But he didn’t complain about the steady rise of the full moon either, even knowing it would make concealing his escape more challenging.

He stopped counting after fifty knots, adding extra ones in between slips for added reinforcement. A fabric snake wormed its way around the floor, growing until it reached each corner of the room. When he at last used up the final shear, Jin grabbed the free end of his cloth serpent and secured it to a bedpost with multiple knots. He did what he could. He only hoped it was long enough.

He pocketed his knife, double-checked his mother’s letter was still on him, and returned to the window. Putting his weight in his arms, he began hoisting himself over the windowsill, but knocked his knee against a corner and tripped. The windowsill splintered and broke clean off the wall, and Jin nervously wound his makeshift rope around his fingers as it crumbled to the floor. Would the knots be strong enough to support his weight the entire way down?

Footsteps sounding from the hall froze him on the spot, but they soon passed the door without stopping. Scrambling back up, Jin grabbed the side of the writing desk and pushed it in front of the window. He tried to ignore the way the legs shrilled against the wooden floor.

It’ll only be a sec. I’ll jump out right away, he thought to himself, hoping whoever strolled outside was too far away to hear the commotion. The desk was the perfect height to perch by the window, and Jin occupied his mind with thoughts of weightless birds and floaty dresses as he climbed.

He secured his hands on the window frame and peered down. The moon shone brightly against the cloudless sky, illuminating the pointed dewy grass below like a bed of spikes. Jin stepped back and wiped his palms on his shirt—when did they get so sweaty? It must have been from all the knotting, a natural reaction to a day’s hard work. That was probably why his vision was going all swirly too… from all those hooks and loops…. And his shaky legs… a perfectly reasonable response to—

Crash!

Jin instinctively curled into a ball the moment the desk snapped. His back collided with the ground first, and his legs wedged in place where a floorboard popped loose. The desk collapsed in front of him, its mirror exploding into hundreds of flying  sharp slices that scraped his knees, and the force of the landing knocked the previously locked drawer out, its contents cracking and rolling and scattering across the floor.

Jin sat still for a while and held his breath. He was listening for sounds of anyone approaching from the hall. When it seemed no one heard the crash, he pulled himself out from the hole and inspected the damage. Aside from some minor cuts and bruises, he was unharmed, but he still hissed scornfully at his blunder. He wasn’t afraid of the dark, never. But of all times to maybe pick up a fear of heights…

He moved to check the desk debris. It consisted mostly of papers, quills, and several ink bottles which all shattered in the fall. Black liquid flowed from the wreckage, staining the wood and parchment around it, and Jin began throwing them off to the side as he thought of a new plan.

The bed was much too large for him to push, and there wasn’t anything solid in the cabinet. He could probably pile all the dresses and climb over them, the skirts seemed sturdy enough, but he might end up slipping in all those soft garments. As he pondered the possibility of death by fabric suffocation, something familiar caught his eye. He held one of the fallen papers and scanned the header; it was the same script that adorned the letter in his pocket.

My prince,

Thank you for showing me the rose garden today. All my life I’ve lived in Rhodolite and never have I seen such beautiful flowers! I didn’t even know roses could be those colors, we truly live in a blessed kingdom. It seems a shame we cannot share it with everyone.

And speaking of which, thank you for listening to me today as well. I’m really sorry to have troubled you with my problems. We each have our assigned roles to play, and yet I’m already flubbing in the first week. I am sure Lord Magnum is second guessing my appointment as I write this, I’m supposed to be studying trade relations with Benitoite right now, but I am still overwhelmed at the thought that I’ll be choosing the next king. Me! It is like a fairytale that I am even in the palace. And to have met you and the others, nothing could be more

Numbness took over every part of Jin’s body except his hands, which clamped even harder on the paper as he read it a second time. The blotches of ink tarnished the rest of the paper, but he could still make out the important bits. His mother had been here, he knew it.

He shuffled through the rest of the pages, but most were in even worse conditions than the first. He finally plucked one with a date in the header reading seven years prior.

My king,

Perhaps it is a bit premature to call you that, but I suppose I wanted to be the first. Belle may have a pure heart, but even she falls to her whims if they present themselves strongly enough. I am only human, after all. As are you.

But once I sign the proclamation tomorrow, I will cease to be Belle, and you a prince. I feel an exciting change is upon us, both as individuals and as a kingdom, and you taught me that. This past month has opened my eyes to many things, both wonderful and saddening, and while I know now that it is unreasonable to expect all our troubles can be solved in a single reign, I believe wholeheartedly that you are our greatest chance of achieving peace and prosperity. I say that not as Belle, but as myself. The woman who has fallen in love with

Jin struggled with the bigger words of this letter, but felt he got the gist of it. Not only was she here, but she knew the king. Supposedly our “greatest chance of achieving peace and prosperity.” She could not be talking about the same man he left crying on the throne, was she? And love? To his knowledge, Jin was the only person she ever said “I love you” to.

Jin desperately clawed through the remaining letters. His hands stained with splattered ink as he shuffled tarnished page after page, only managing broken fragments and half-words. He splayed the ones he could save on the floor away from the flowing blackness, picking up anything he could salvage.

My love…

…they don’t like me…

…fear I am a burden…

…send me away…

…for our baby…

…I will always lo…

“As sensible as she was benevolent,” said a deep voice.

Jin snatched all the pages he could reach, clutched them to his chest, and turned around. Standing in the doorway was the tall plum robed man from the throne room, his grainy wrinkles and graying hair illuminated by the candelabra in his hand. The man bent low and snatched one of the pages Jin could not reach in time. Holding the single stainless corner in his fingers, he brought it up to the candlelight and read. Jin watched, horrified every time the fire swayed close to the paper.

“She was a free spirit, your mother. I could see her in you the moment I laid my eyes on you,” said the man, releasing the paper. It gently floated to the floor as he stepped past it and bent in front of Jin. “Of course, we are delighted to have her son back in his rightful home. We have been waiting many long years for your return, my prince.”

The man lowered the candelabra to the floor and bowed his head. Jin scooted backwards until he hit the wall. It couldn’t be true. Yet, a part of him deep down knew it was true. He didn’t want it to be true. He wanted to get out of this place. He wanted the ringing ears to come back, to drown out everything this man was saying. He was Jin Grandet. Six years old, orphan boy. Not a prince. Not in a million years.

“A wise decision on her part, you are still so young.” The man placed a hand into his robes. Jin automatically reached for his knife and stuck it out in front of him, panting heavily as he watched the man pull out a tightly rolled document.

“But legacy is everything here. We are sworn to protect and nurture it, generation after generation. For the greater good of the kingdom and its longevity.” He unfolded the paper and Jin stared at the gilded border and fancy penmanship that adorned the sheet. Most of it was too scripted for him to understand from afar, but again the familiar handwriting marked the bottom of the page. Two names; one he shared, and one he’d been searching for.

“Welcome home, Jin Grandet. First prince of Rhodolite.”

This is my 1st time making any type of request... I know you're busy...but if you're still taking Kiss requests, could I possibly ask for one of Jin Grandet from Ikemen Prince? Thank you. *bows*

This Is My 1st Time Making Any Type Of Request... I Know You're Busy...but If You're Still Taking Kiss

A/N: a rain-filled day has given me some free time and so I am happy to say I managed to fulfill your request! Tagging @randonauticrap because she requested the same thing 💜

This Is My 1st Time Making Any Type Of Request... I Know You're Busy...but If You're Still Taking Kiss

Jin has held countless women in his arms. All sizes, all nationalities, women with social standings that span from barmaid to royal maiden and everything in-between. He has curved his strong fingers around bodies that melt into his touch, pliant with desire, lambent with need. His lips have traveled over the soft line between neck and shoulder, tasted mouths painted with expensive lipsticks and mouths colored only by the gentle stain of summer berries, and of course, most exciting to him, delved into the lush valley of various décolletages. He has appreciated every lover he has ever had. Maybe even skirted the dim line between lust and love. But he’s never crossed it.

Until you.

Now he understands the notion that one could have a thousand lovers, but when the right person enters your life, the memories of those ephemeral paramours vanish like mist in the morning sun.  You are that bright sunshine, banishing any thoughts of anyone else to the shadows, never to appear again. You are the only one he dreams of, the only one he wants, the only one who will ever be treated to the feel of his hands on your skin, the taste of his lips on your tongue. And the only one who knows that underneath the easy-going smile, under the rigid armor of his womanizing reputation, there is a heart of gold that beats with a desire not for sex, but for love. For tenderness. For acceptance. For forgiveness.

That is why for all his skill with fingers and tongue, teeth and hips, hugs and kisses, what you love most is when you take inititive and kiss him. The kind of kiss that starts when you catch his handsome face between your hands and lean forward, your mouth loving and gentle. It is this kind of kiss that robs him of his breath, that sends his heart into an unbridled gallop in his chest, the kind you can feel when you lay your hand there. You caress his cheek, smooth under your fingers, and you kiss the corner of his clever mouth, warm affection and satisfaction flooding you when his eyes close, his lips part, and he exhales, tremulous with disbelief. You love him. You love him and he does not know how he has gotten so damn lucky.

And then his mind empties of all thought because you are nuzzling his neck, running a hand over the back of it, pressing yourself closer against him. You hug him to you, his hard planes contrasting your soft curves, content to keep the feeling between you at a soft glow instead of stirring it into a roaring fire. You whisper in his ear how much you love him, how you will always love him, and his arms tighten around you involuntarily. Your fierce eagle. Your valiant protector. Your lover. Your best friend. He would be anything you need him to be if it kept you in his arms, murmuring luminous words of love into his ear that glide over him like warm drops of summer rain.

Falling Ahead - Part 1

“Clavis.”

“Look! I came all the way from the kitchen.”

“Clavis.”

“I have more cookies inside. Can you help me do that hallway?”

“Clavis!”

At Jin’s raised voice, Clavis jumped, scratched his head, then turned to his brother with a polite smile. “Please can you help me do that hallway?”

“Clavis, you’re making a mess,” Jin berated.

“Nuh uh! I made it neat in a line! Look, look!” Clavis held the half-cookie in place between his teeth and pointed with both hands at the straight line of crumbs following him up the hall and leading into a sitting room.

“Yeah, that’s still a mess,” said Jin, yanking the cookie out of Clavis’s mouth. “And you shouldn’t waste food.”

“But I’m not wasting! The unicorn will eat it all up!”

“The unicorn?”

Clavis balled his tiny fists and nodded his head. “Baby unicorns love cookie crumbs! I read it in Chevalier’s book!”

Jin sighed. “Clavis, you can’t read.”

“Can too!”

“Can’t.”

“Can too!”

“Can’t.”

“Okay! Mama helped me a little… but only with the big words!” Clavis lunged for Jin’s arm, but Jin raised the cookie high out of his reach.

“Cut it out. I didn’t see any unicorns in the castle,” Jin said as Clavis whined and hopped in front of him.

“Yes there is! Yes there is!” cried Clavis. “I need to catch it and show it to—”

There was a thud and a squeak from inside the room. Jin and Clavis ran in to find a pile of blankets and pillows collapsed at the foot of one of the sofas, a series of spent ropes and pulleys close by. All was still for a moment, then the fluffy mountain was moving.

“It worked! I told you! I told you! It’s a unicorn!” Clavis giggled, rushing to remove the blankets. Jin joined him, and together they quickly freed the squirming mass within. And though the two brothers had never seen a unicorn before, they were both certain what they found underneath wasn’t one.

“No, Yves! That trap wasn’t for you!” Clavis shrieked. But his shrieks soon dissolved to laughter as he and Jin watched their baby brother happily nibble on a bowl of chocolate chip cookies.

Genre: Comedy

Wordcount: 1326

Prompt: In A Flash CCC hosted by @flash-exchange - October 2023: Magic Apprenticeship

A/N: My first entry for the In A Flash CCC! This one was inspired by the folks over on Discord, you guys rock for helping me finish a fic after so long! I will try my best to write some more as the challenge continues. For this fic, it's been split up as 2 separate parts, the first part being mainly from Jin's perspective and the second continuing from Yves and Nokto's. Many thanks to @lorei-writes for the feedback and suggestions. Enjoy!

Understaffed

Jin Grandet was not a warlock. At least, not officially.

It wasn’t because he had a late start. Most children couldn’t even read spells from the rudimentary tomes at age six, let alone pronounce them. And it wasn’t as if he was without talent. It was common knowledge throughout the kingdoms that the sorcerer’s gene manifested strongest within royal bloodlines. No, the true reason Jin failed his Warlock Mastery Examination was far less magical than he’d like to admit.

But that’s a story for another time. And even if the minimum age to apply was fifteen, it didn’t mean he was barred from trying again another year. Heck, most applicants didn’t even make an attempt until they were double that! But of course, Chevalier came of age the next year, and while the exam was merely a formality for the prodigy, barely anyone bothered to register for that round. Fueled by fiery rivalry, Clavis was hot on Chevalier’s heels the year after that, and Jin was too preoccupied with helping him train to even consider enrolling himself. And just a few weeks prior, Leon passed his exam with flying colors. A feat Jin attributes to his apt sideline encouragement and diligent inspections of Leon’s daily meat intake.

So what if he didn’t pass? Jin could still perform magic as well as any warlock. He just didn’t have a staff to show for it. Instead, he could boast that the never-before-seen-three-year-streak of fifteen-year old graduates were his students.

“For the last time, we are not your students,” Yves declared.

“And why wouldn’t you want to be?” Jin asked. He waved a hand and the curtain of low-hanging branches before him parted, revealing a narrow dirt path ahead. “I have a one-hundred percent success rate. And you’re my next conquest, Yves.”

“Yeah, Evie. Why don’t you take him up on his offer?” Nokto said, following Licht as they climbed down after Jin. “Then you can tell us if he’s legit or not.”

“Oh, he’s the real deal,” Leon said. He took a steady stance beside a cherry oak and swung his newly acquired staff overhead, making all the barren trees in the vicinity shake and shoot their branches upward like spikes. Nokto watched in awe as Leon calmed the trees down and flashed him a toothy grin. “Can’t recommend the big guy enough.”

“No, no, no, my brothers. You mustn’t let the opinions of others sway your decision making!” Clavis said, pushing past Leon. “Ask yourselves this: do I want to be taught by a syrupy dropout, or by the youngest, most renowned warlock of our age?” He struck the ground with his own staff and the dirt rumbled. Moments later, roots and tubers erupted from the earth like the undead, making Yves screech and trip on an upright rose stem. Clavis laughed maniacally as the plants continued to grow, until Leon whacked him on the head and the vegetary scene immediately reverted underground as if it never happened.

“I’m younger than you, remember?” Leon countered.

“And I was younger than you both when I passed,” Chevalier added, his pace leisurely as he joined them.

“Yes, yes, you don’t have to remind us again how your test happened three days after your birthday,” Clavis said, rubbing his bruised forehead. “It is insufferably pedantic of you.

“Shall I remind everyone instead of how you only passed because the examiner happened to sneeze when you flubbed the fire retardancy enchantment on your trousers?”

“Like I said, little ones. Follow what Jin says, and you’ll do just fine,” Clavis said.

“If you’re done sharing my many virtues, hurry on over!” Jin called. The group exchanged speculative glances before filing through the unanimated greenery towards his excited voice.

Understaffed

Flummoxed by their seniors’ effortless display of magical prowess, Yves and Nokto insisted they take the lead, bewitching wayward wood knots and saplings from the path. Once or twice they glanced back, hopeful to receive praise for their successful spells, only to find the trio engrossed in their own conversation.

“Maybe he wants to take us all on at once? Six against one?” Leon suggested.

“Please,” Clavis yawned, stretching his arms above his head and waving his staff teasingly. “He could squash the kiddos, no problem. But he won’t get much farther than that unarmed.”

“He brought his sword. Or is your staff so far up your rear that you did not notice?” Chevalier said, swatting Clavis’s staff away from his face.

Yves and Nokto whirled their heads towards the track ahead, struggling to keep their attention back on moving the plants. Is that what this was all about? Despite Jin’s domineering stature, they had never once seen their brother in a fight. But Jin also was the most knowledgeable about the contents of the exam, even if he did fail his. Was this the type of error-correcting that guaranteed Chevalier, Clavis, and Leon’s successes?

The path eventually fed into a wide clearing as large as one of the training arenas at the palace. Even in peak autumn, thick shrubs still flanked all sides like a fence except for one; a cavernous cliff plummeted behind where Jin stood, his arms folded and mouth stretched in an expectant grin.

“Are we really gonna fight?” Nokto said nervously, reaching for his sword.

“Alright! Loser gets thrown off the cliff!” Clavis whooped. “Chevalier, fight me!”

“Slow down, we’re learning defensive tactics today,” Jin said. “Magic has limitless potential to attack, right? So it stands to reason that the same should be true in defense. Far too often does a warlock fall into the assumption that one trumps the other in combat.”

“Spoken nearly verbatim from Elemental Charms and Combat,” Chevalier said unamused.

“That means he knows his stuff,” said Leon. “But then why’d ya bring us here too, Jin?”

“No, Chevalier’s right. There’s only so much you can learn from theory alone. We need experience to connect the dots. And I sure as sugar wouldn’t hurt a hair on the little guys’ heads, so that’s where you lot come in.” Jin crouched beside Yves and Nokto and patted their shoulders. “Yves, you’ll spar with Chevalier. And Nokto, you get Clavis.”

Yves froze on the spot.

“Oh, goodie…” Nokto mumbled.

“Just remember the basics, and you’ll be fine,” Jin said, then he turned to the warlocks. “And don’t you go blasting infernos at them. We’re out here to prevent unnecessary bystander injuries. But remember, this is still a highly flammable area.” He glared at Clavis, who seemed to get a chill and wrapped his cloak firmly around himself.

“Wait. Where’s my partner?” Leon asked. A quick lookover of the clearing proved Licht was nowhere to be seen.

“Maybe Leon’s branches pulled him up to the sky?” Nokto suggested.

“Or Clavis’s roots dragged him down below!” Yves gasped.

“Both,” Chevalier said, pointing over the cliff. Halfway down, Licht hung suspended and looking below, his shirt caught on a thorny branch tangled with crisscrossing roots.

“Licht!” Yves and Nokto cried.

“Why didn’t you say anything?” Clavis called down to him.

“Something tells me the branch will snap if he so much as breathes wrong,” Leon said. Licht answered with a shaky thumbs up.

“Everyone, change of plans!” Jin bellowed. “Today we’re doing rescue training. And not a word of this gets to Sariel, got it? Okay, let’s go!” He drew his sword and leaped over the edge, jamming it into the cliffside as he descended.

Shocked, and slightly relieved, Yves and Nokto followed Jin’s lead, the scraping sounds of their blades cutting rock disappearing with them.

“Moron,” Chevalier huffed. The air around him began to crackle as he inhaled deeply and swung his staff in a circular motion. “He didn’t even evaluate the situation for a full minute. And they still wonder why he didn’t pass—”

“You heard the boss!” Clavis and Leon yelled. Together they seized each of Chevalier’s arms and hurled themselves over the cliff, leaving their staves behind.

Understaffed

Listen, it is liberating to write Chevalier, Clavis, and Leon as comic relief side characters. Trust me.

Ice. And cold. I got used to it by now. Or at least my mind did, a long ago... But my body would still let me down after all these years and warn me by constantly getting goosebumps and shivering, not feeling at first my fingers tips then my hands and feet. I was burning from inside to outside... As if those ice crystals in my heart were burning down my body slowly, mercilessly. Wanting to destroy my organs first so that my chilled, helpless body will be unusable by the time I'm dead. Merely, a frozen corpse, an icy prison for my past self.

...But I should be okay after I'm ready. There.

I sighed while walking fast, trying to keep my pace and breathing steady. The exhalation when the carbon dioxide fled first from my lungs and then through my mouth to become one with the very perishing and choking air around me appeared lightly before my eyes. I saw the delicate poisoned steam as they spread all over the area. Almost saw the icy crystals too that might have frozen in that instant moment I let out my sigh. Suddenly the whole corridor around me felt cruel, nearly pinning me down in one place to notice my surroundings. And stop. But I had no time to spare nor observe. I have to keep going.

And damn, it is exceptionally cold tonight. I better sleep with double blankets after this, I guess...

The Queen's Deceit Ikemen Prince Fanfiction

"Your Highness? What are you doing here at this time of the night?"

I heard one of the head maids calling me. I was in the kitchen, holding a plate of food, so I wasn't suspicious. My back was facing her, but I had to be careful nonetheless. I had the venom ready in my hand, too - just a couple drops from it, and it could be fatal. But... was this really what I wanted right now? I was eager about it before, but now I'm suddenly scared.

Vater wouldn't be proud of me now, would he? Neither Gilbert, for that matter. Good thing I won't see them for a while... Let's get over this.

"Ja, it's me, Franziska. Don't worry, I just finished training a little late and got hungry, so I will take this meal to my room if you don't mind." I tried to sound as normal and tired as possible, hoping my voice won't shake. I almost laughed nervously at the end, but that would have given away the whole act.

Although I was still showing my back to her, I wasn't sure where she was standing exactly, so I feared that the next moment she would look over my shoulder and see what I'm doing. If only my hands wouldn't shake so much... But this is the first time I'm doing something like this, it's not like I'm a professional. I just have to be fast.

Thanks to this nerve-racking position I was in, I no longer felt the cold eating me up, I assume this is the only positive aspect of this. Suddenly I was more like; burning with dishonesty, a bit of mischief, and excitement.

"Very well, Prinzessin, I'll leave you to it then. But please don't overwork yourself, your mother has been worried about you." She said in a sorrowful tone.

...It's nice of you to say something like this, Franziska, but - unfortunately - I know my mother very well. She would never be worried about me, especially after what occurred a year and a half ago.

"Trust me, I won't. I appreciate you and my mother worrying about me, but I'm doing good, training keeps me in shape, and it helps me a lot in my daily tasks, so I know my limits." At the last sentence, I turned my head in her direction and watched as she bowed to me and left. Finally, this was quite close!

I didn't waste any more of my short time and poured some delicate drops from the small vial in my hand to every point of the healthy meal. Or... well, not so healthy anymore.

After that, I quietly slipped out of the master kitchen and tried to use some hidden passages throughout the castle to get to my destination quicker, without more people seeing me. At one point, while I was walking the stairs, I believe I caught a glimpse of something or someone, but neither of us was interested enough to investigate at this time, close to midnight. I only sincerely hoped it wasn't Gilbert or one of his watchmen or soldiers. Usually, they are the ones who use these shortcuts in the palace the most, and they also finish training late, or there could be a guard switch every 3 hours, so it was evident for me to get worried. But when I saw my room at the end of the corridor in the East wing, I silently ran towards it and finally felt safe after a long day.

I kicked off my boots hurriedly, but before I stripped down for a sedative and comforting hot shower, I noticed that the maids must have left my window open since the morning... I was back to freezing at last.

After half an hour, my brain felt at peace finally. I was relaxed and calm... Before the storm.

The last thing I thought about before falling into a pleasant slumber was that I prayed that the forenoon, I wouldn't see Gilbert - or any of his subordinates, for that matter. Normally we would eat breakfast in our rooms or at the training grounds, but he's quick to sense if something's amiss. What if he comes into my room to see if I'm still sleeping or eating? Of course, this wouldn't be a problem in itself, but I know I won't be here the next time the Sun rises. At the same time, the next evening I won't be in my room either, taking a shower after a rough training, and more importantly - I won't be sleeping in my bed, neither tomorrow nor the day after that. What he'll do?

If he finds out sooner than he should... I may get all of us killed.

I must wake up earlier than him because I will outsmart my brother once in my life.

The Queen's Deceit Ikemen Prince Fanfiction

...Quick, I have to make my way down fast!

In a hurry, I ran downwards on the castle's stairs as swiftly and silently as I could. I woke up before sunrise, as I wanted, but I had so much preparing to do I was constantly debating in my head that I underestimated myself and my timing.

Every second I thought that I'm running late, and at the gates - when I got my horse and assistant with me - I'll run into Gilbert, and my whole mission will fly out the window into some relentless coldness and endless suffering. Also, my second biggest fear was that what if Ingrid forgot what I told her last night? Not that she has ever forgotten anything I said to her, but still.

Now for once, as I was running, I was not afraid to make too much noise as I didn't have my armor on me. I decided it was for the best; I won't be too recognizable. I plan to keep a low profile, and I want to do it right.

I finally reached the castle grounds and cut through our spacious garden which didn't bloom beautifully even in the spring. That's the curse of Obsidian, I guess. Then for this matter, why did we even have a garden?

Meanwhile, moving continuously, I reached the royal stables, unleashed my horse, and walked with her to the gate. I felt a pang of relief in my heart when I saw my assistant waiting with her horse near the enormous doors. I also already had an idea forming in my head about what I'll do with the gatekeeper guards, but that had to wait a little longer.

"Ready, Eure Majestät?" Asked Ingrid, however, she immediately hopped onto her horse - as if not expecting any response. But after I nodded my head, we went on.

It's time to deal with the guards... It's early, so I hope whatever I bribe them with, they'll take it without a word and keep their mouths shut in front of my mother and my brother.

"Guten Morgen meine Herren! Could you please open the gates for us?" I used my best smile to be engaging.

"May we know where you're going so early, Prinzessin?" Asked one of them, however, the other guard - ignoring his companion - reached for the handles to open the desired entrance... Our entrance to freedom.

"Oh, I can't possibly tell you everything. This one is a top-secret mission of mine if you'd please!" I was still smiling, but now it was a forced smile.

Just don't ask for more details, let us go already..!

"Very well. What should we say to dein Bruder?" Meanwhile, finally, the guard who's been questioning me moved to open the gates too.

"He knows about it, don't worry." I thanked them one last time and beckoned Ingrid to follow me. I immediately kicked my horse into a gallop, running into the dry, blackish field, feeling free.

Shortly my assistant caught up to me and hurriedly asked me.

"Eure Majestät, where are we planning to go exactly?" There she goes, being worried... But it's true though, I didn't say any specific destination to her last night. Not that I have any better idea now.

"Oh come on, enjoy this freedom a little bit, will you?" I laughed, which made her laugh too. "I will figure it out when the time's right." I reassured her at last and started galloping again.

It will be a long way anyway while we reach some borders, so I had plenty of time to decide which way to go. Until then, we can feel the fresh air burning through us with the marvelous taste of liberty in our mouths, making us drunk early this dawn.

There's nothing better than this at the moment.

The Queen's Deceit Ikemen Prince Fanfiction

"Are you sure about this? Entirely?" She sighed, her face troubled as she held my horse's bridle tightly in her other hand.

I dismounted my horse, close to the evening hours when we reached a border in the South-Eastern region. I wasn't planning to arrive on horseback since everyone knows that only royals travel with horses, and right now, I wasn't thriving to be royalty. Right now, I have to look like a commoner, and I have to act like one. That's why I decided near the border that I will walk from now on.

"Look on the bright side, Ingrid, you can take some day-offs! I will manage, I promise!"

"I know you'll manage, that’s not the thing I'm most worried about. It's the country, the territory you chose. Are you sure Rhodolite is the best place to escape for a while as an Obsidianite princess and a member of the Royal Family? You know they hate us... If you get found out, they'll kill you. And maybe, but just maybe, start a war too." I sighed, seeing her anxious expression.

"I know what I'm doing, but they will never know. That's the key; not letting them know. I'm familiar with the consequences and risks that may occur in this short period, but I need to do this. For several personal reasons. You trust me, right? You will know when I need you next time I will reach you, so don't worry, Ingrid." I stepped closer to her and hugged her.

"Just relax around here... Feel the freedom without the kingdom's responsibilities for a little while. You can use my horse too if you want. Just don't go back to the palace and guard our secret. You're the only one I truly trust in Obsidian, not even my brother. I will be careful because it's worth it. It's worth it to be careful because I know I can go back to someone." I patted her on the shoulder one last time and started running towards the border.

Buckle up, Rhodolite; here I come!________________________________________________________________________________________

(Okay, so how did you guys like the first part? Was it clear, was it good? Honestly this is my first English ff I posted anywhere, since I usually write in my native language, but a couple of days ago I thought I should try something new and develop my skills... I’m open to any critisism and/or opinion, bc I have nothing to lose as this is my first time haha! Anyways, hope you guys enjoyed! :D)

• Chapter II.

The Queens Deceit Ikemen Prince Fanfiction

I admit, Rhodolite is pretty even in the evening when you can't see as much... But still, the scenery is better than in Obsidian at any time of the year.

Flowers - especially roses - actually bloom here! And looks like not just the royal palace, but the commoners have their own gardens too, which is again good to see. I swear, in itself, just this information lifted my mood unexpectedly.

I wonder how far am I from the castle, or the center of the kingdom? I haven't been walking for such a long time, since the country's Western borders. And I'm sure that although it's a small nation, I won't reach the headquarters in a couple of hours, especially not on foot.

Maybe I could sleep on the street for the time being until morning? The weather is pleasant enough, so I wouldn't have any problem freezing to death, which is a nice change. Also, the streets look friendly - the petite flowerpots on the sidewalks, illuminated buildings, houses, and some shops. I have to say Rhodolite looks much safer than Obsidian ever did.

I was silently strolling down the streets, appreciating the undisturbed landscape and the soilless details it had to offer. I was treading on the brighter side of the road when suddenly, in front of me, a pub's door nearly slammed in my face as I was close to leaving it.

What the heck- ?

"Ya wanna know somethin' huh? I'd love to punch you in the face right now 'cause ya askin' for it!" Okay, I might have overestimated the safety a bit.

"Let's sort this out, then!" Oh no, are they planning to have a pub wrestling? I guess I'm not going to get through them anytime soon...

As I tried to go to the opposite side of the street to be safe from the fistfight, my attempt proved unsuccessful because they almost instantly noticed me.

"Hey, that chick is trying to get away!" Said the taller one.

Damn, I don't want them to get to me! I don't want to be involved, especially as I'm not from here! Who knows what they would do to me...

"Get ya ass back here, woman!" Catch me if you can, Ratte!

With that, I started running on the sidewalk, not knowing where just away from those two drunkards.

Gosh, that's my luck, and not even a day has passed!

I was much faster than them, but I was foreign to the area, so I had to keep my eyes open for shortcuts or hide-outs, specifically in the darkness of the night.

In the end, after a couple of minutes, I found a lonely passage that I could hide in until I catch my breath and pull myself together. And maybe even make a useable plan.

...I'm starting to see a pattern here, I feel like these nerve-racking situations adore me. As if they'd get excited anytime they leave me in one and just be amused at my reactions and solutions. Not that I reciprocate it that much, though.

"Excuse me, Miss?" I suddenly heard a low, almost whispering voice behind me, and just seconds later, I felt a big male hand placing itself on my left shoulder.

Okay, this guy is not with the drunkards for sure, but never mind, he seems much more dangerous than them, judging by his voice only!

"...Yes?" I answered him in an unsure tone, a bit speechless, to see if he would do anything.

"Were you running here, don't have a home or place to sleep?" He saw it, heard it? Damn, I hope I didn't wake up the whole neighborhood but rather the drunkards.

"Well, you see..." I started, now in a firmer tone, still my back was facing the mysterious male, and his warm palm was still on my shoulder. I have no idea what I'm going to make out of this. "I technically have a home, but it's on the other side of the kingdom, and it is distant from here. I was supposed to be done with my business here much earlier and expected to arrive home before midnight, but things got carried away, and now I'm stuck here." I shrugged my shoulders to seem a bit uninterested but also to try, and shake off his hand from there.

"I see, young lady. Then in this case, may I offer you someplace to stay?" He finally took his hand off my shoulder, and I turned to face him to examine his face before I declared something that I would regret later.

The Queens Deceit Ikemen Prince Fanfiction

I woke up feeling like I'm in Heaven between the soft mattress and pillows. I slowly stretched my limbs and rolled over to the edge of the king-sized bed. I looked down, searching for my clock on the nightstand to see what time it was. But it was empty, and suddenly the reality hit me, and I was wide awake; I'm here, in the Rhodolitian castle, after that stranger found me in that alley, running from the drunkards.

But wait, how did this happen? It was early, so I had a hard time remembering it, but I ended up putting the pieces together.

It turned out that the man who'd found me was the Palace Minister. It was odd because at first, I thought he was a priest or something, based on the clothes he wore. Sariel... that was his name, right?

After that, he called a carriage for us out of the blue, and we began traveling to the castle. There was stillness, we didn't speak to each other - as I was suspicious of him, and he was calmly reading some documents. Eventually, I fell asleep in the carriage, and he woke me up when we arrived at the palace. I remember he assigned me some sort of room, told me to take a shower, and gave me a nightgown. And here I am. I know I was thriving to investigate and sneak into the castle someday, but I would've never imagined that I pull this off on the first day! Yet, I'm fortunate, it seems!

After I had clarified my circumstances, I figured I should go to the bathroom and start the day. But before I could do anything, my door opened, and a young maid stepped in with a pile of clothes.

"Good morning, Lady Artina!" She said enthusiastically.

Wait, Lady-? Oh, yeah, right, okay. I have to get used to my name like that.

"Master Sariel asked me to deliver these everyday garments to your room, seeing you had no change of clothes with you last night."

"I see, thank you." I accepted the textiles, but she looked like she has more things to say.

"Also, he requested you to see him in his office after you're ready. It's downstairs; you have to go down the stairs, turn right twice, cross the hallway, turn left, and you're there." She smiled, then bowed and left.

I immediately forgot the directions she gave me for the minister's office. This will be embarrassing... hope I don't run into anyone important ahead of time.

The Queens Deceit Ikemen Prince Fanfiction

After I'd made myself presentable in the bathroom, I opened my room's door to begin the journey towards the minister's office, but I immediately came to a halt. The maid said I should go downstairs, but which way? This is a long aisle packed with different doors and mine was in the middle. To which staircase am I supposed to go now? I will probably make this a hundred times more problematic than it needs to be.

Nonetheless, trying to look composed, I carefully tried to investigate both ends of the corridor to see which is better - and desperately wished that I won't run into anyone who would think of me as a fool.

Well, the left side looks brighter than the right, so I think I will go that way-

"...And who might this be, hmm?" All of a sudden I heard a sultry male voice behind me.

Scheisse.

I quickly turned around, still trying to look calm and collected, but I was honestly not ready for what - or whom I was about to see.

Wait a second, I know these two!

"Are you a new maid, perhaps?" Asked now the lean, purple-haired one.

Okay, he and his subordinate - the crimson-eyed and silver-haired guy - are oddly familiar since I know I've heard about them... Only suddenly I can't seem to recall their names.

They give weird appellations in Rhodolite anyway, and I've always had trouble memorizing them while studying about their culture.

Ach, nee... this is so frustrating, it's on the tip of my tongue!

"Cat got your tongue, young lady? Or should I call Evie?" The shorter one smiled widely.

His eyes - he looks just like a sly fox, might be that prince who has it as his crest? On the other hand, about his brother, I don't see any resemblance to any animals. But his eyes reflect mischief, and something dangerous, could his crest be a schlange, perhaps? I know somebody has a crest like that too, which is way too specific and suspicious at once.

"No, I got my tongue, and there's no cat." I answered, stone-faced. The best thing with people like them is to prove that you're opaque to their teasing and little games, right? They all might do it for personal reasons, but I never liked human puzzles, and this hasn't changed.

"Oh, a fierce and ruthless one, I see. Quick to turn down the fun." He laughed with a mischievous glint in his eye, maybe even more intense now. "And I was just getting started." He finished with a smirk.

Oh, the urge to roll my eyes? Unbearable.

But I should really start going to that office, they are holding me up, and I will get in trouble. If only I'd know their names, then I could dig up some concrete information in my head about them-

"Prince Nokto, Prince Clavis!" Then I heard another voice behind me, approaching our trio, but this time it was familiar.

Oh well, I guess the minister had found me instead of me, finding him.

He seemed like he wanted to say something more but left it at that. At least their names clicked, and my brain was at peace.

The minister obviously saw me too, and I guess he figured out why it took so long for me to arrive at his office. Definitely not because I forgot the directions the maid gave me, never.

The two princes focused their attention on the older man after he reached us, but I was sure I wasn't off their hook.

"I requested all of you to my office, and your brothers are already there. Please, make yourselves present too." He said strictly. At the end of his sentence, he adjusted his glasses, and they glinted dangerously in the morning light.

"Does it have to do anything with this lady right here?" Clavis gestured towards me with a small smile.

"Yes, certainly, but other important matters as well. The next time I return to my office, I'd like to see you there." He put a warning hand on the small of my back as if to signal me not to move and protect me from their further teasing. I assume he knows them well by now and figured out what did we converse about these past minutes.

At the same time, his hand felt tense against my body. I guess the princes are really testing his patience, by not satisfying his request.

The royals didn't pry any longer, and they started going in that direction I was planning to go as well. My shoulders and expression visibly relaxed, since their presence when they addressed me at first genuinely caught me off-guard. Good thing I wasn't on a battlefield, it's not advantageous to be caught off-guard there.

"...I'll play with you later, then. No-fun lady." When he walked past me, Nokto managed to cause another surprise in me, at last.

He quietly told me his words, topping it off with a newly given nickname in an alluring whisper. And in addition picked up a lock of my ebony black hair, admiring it.

He's unbelievable.

(Tomorrow I'm going on a 5 day holiday, but I will try to write one more chapter today, to be able to post while I'm away! Today's chapter was a bit boring, I know, but I have to settle certain things about the flow of the story, so there will be dull parts in the future too, sorry!)

Part 3 is here!

Has anyone done this for ikepri? — Artbreeder series — (Pt. 1)

Okay, so I was bored and instead of finishing the new chapter, I decided to go to artbreeder and expirement... All day. So after some struggles, I made all 8 princes + Sariel and Rio.

In the future should I make Silvio, Keith and Gilbert too? And Emma? I had fun and I'd do it again. Maybe even for other Ikemen games lol.

But nvm, now I present you 10 ikepri characters by artbreeder + my after touch in Autodesk. (I had to do it, usually for their eye colors.)

(This is "Part 1" Because Tumblr doesn't like me, and only allows 10 pictures in one post, so Rio and Sariel will be separated.)

Part 2 here! → Part 3 here!

_____________________________________________

• Leon Dompteur

(His hair is kinda weird, I had to touch that up, since it didn't quite reach his neck. Also, in general I struggled to make his features look right, I'm still not 100% into it, but I had to stop somewhere eventually haha.)

image

• Chevalier Michel

(Again, the hair. I swear I had to mix almost all of them with females to achieve some longer locks, since a lot of them have that going on. Also, his hair doesn't really reach his eye, and it's curly, but it is what it is...)

image

• Yves Kloss

(Okay, he was the first that I did, and I still love it! He's one of my favorites, I love how he turned out. Btw, I had to draw his earring, because it was impossible to edit that. So that's why it looks out of place. He looks so sassy tho.)

image

• Nokto Klein

(He kinda looks like a woman, to me? I had to mix him with multiple females to make his longer hair possible. But I don't hate it. And again; I edited his eyes myself. He kinda has that resting bitch face here, and I'm living for it lol.)

image

• Licht Klein

(I struggled with him too, to make his features look right and somewhat similar? I had like 3 tries, where I mixed everything into it, but I actually created this on accident, kind of half-hearted. But in the end I liked this the best because he resembles Nokto and they actually look like twins. Plus I had to edit his eyes, beauty marks and hair a bit. He looks soft uwu.)

image

• Jin Grandet

(Would it be a surprise if I'd say that I struggled with him too? I had to search for really manly prototypes and match them together, but in the end I don't hate how he turned out either. His hair is more brown than it should be, his eyes too, but I don't think it's that bothersome. Ultimate manly dude. Kinda looks like a Daddy material xd.)

image

• Luke Randolph

(Okay, OKAY. I'm in LOVE! He's my favorite, hands down! I actually made two versions for him; one with a smile and the other as a neutral expression but his smile is everything! I love it, he looks so precious! I might change to his route after this oof.)

image
image

• Clavis Lelouch

(I couldn't quite catch his features, his aura/vibe - if you will - well at first, but after some tries it came out good. I think. I also had to mix him with women, mainly because of his purple hair. I edited his eyes and beauty mark, but I was lazy to do his hair properly. He also has two expressions; Neutral and a mischievous one. ;))

Has anyone done this for ikepri? — Artbreeder series — (Pt. 2)

Part 1 here, if you missed it! → Part 3 here!

Let's resume then!

• Rio Ortiz

(He was the second that I completed, and I'm satisfied haha. Although he may look a bit feminine, he looks cute and precious to me. I wanna give him a hug. I thought I should edit his earring but in the end it actually came out as if he has one, so I didn't do any after-touch. And by that time I was also lazy to do that.)

image

• Sariel Noir

(The unbelievable guy. I think I struggled with him the most. At first I had some good bases, but he looked... Way too old. Then he started to look like a vampire, trying to make his hair jet-black and all. And then his features didn't sit right, but here we are. There's a version where I quickly drew his glasses on, but they look awful, so have the version of him without his glasses too lol. He still looks way too old oof. Plus I forgot to edit his eye color on the no-glasses picture. Oh well.)

image
image

Well, this is the end (for now)! Let me know if I should make the 3 new princes or any other Ikemen game characters for that matter, because I had fun and I'd do it again! <3

• Chapter III.

image

"...And last but not least, this is the throne room. Usually, we celebrate memorials and national holidays here, also the coronation of every new king. I hope you were able to follow me on this tour, and sooner you'll get a better view of the palace and don't get lost or wander off." Sariel relaxed and smiled at me at last, but it was not pleasant. It reflected some kind of devilish charm that struck me the first time I locked eyes with him. It's dangerous, no doubt. He has a special kind of position here.

But even I can't deny the fact that he's been helping me, for whatever reason. I constantly questioned his motives; almost every second. He seems two-faced, and I can't shake the feeling that one moment he will do something that will soon prove fatal for me.

Although that may be just because I literally know nothing about him... He's shrouded in mysteries, even more than I feel like I should be. And I'm the one who's not supposed to be here because it's enemy territory. Or is it not just me?

"Certainly, I'm thankful you spared me some time to show me around. Even if it meant keeping the princes waiting." In my last sentence, I stifled a laugh, imagining the eight royalties sitting in a minister's office, swinging their legs because they have nothing better to do than wait.

Sariel does hold some inexplicable power and presence over them, to leave them hanging like this because of some matters... I may have gotten myself into something that will prove even more beneficial than what I only thought in my dreams would.

"Of course, Lady Artina. Anytime."

The Queens Deceit Ikemen Prince Fanfiction

The minister and I were approaching his office through the corridors of the castle, and I - but surely Sariel too - could hear the clearly audible exchange between the eight princes. They were beyond loud.

The older man was walking in front of me with confident steps, and the fine soles of his shoes made a soft sound after each movement. When we finally reached the door, he stopped in front of it for a short while, and we heard the princes growing quieter. He turned the doorknob with a definite movement, and we stepped in.

His office was spacious, but I wasn't surprised much - considering he requested all the eight royals here earlier. It had simple but dark colors and pieces of furniture.

But I had to address the elephant(s) in the room, the eight royalties. Other than the two, whom I met previously at the corner of my assigned room, the others looked genuinely shocked to see me; who was supposed to be a Rhodolitian commoner right now.

"Is she a second Belle now, or what?" I heard a disdainful voice and spotted a younger, pompous prince.

True, his suspicion and statement made sense, and I wish I could have a comeback for that, but even I have no idea what kind of cover story I'm getting on Sariel's behalf as to why I'm here.

But probably not another Belle though, since I'm far from having a pure heart.

"Now, please settle down, young men." He proposed, completely ignoring the blatant question. And to his advice, some of them sat down on a broad sofa which took place near the door, but some of them remained standing.

All the while, he walked to his desk and beckoned me to stand beside him, facing the princes. They either had cold, ruthless gazes or mischievous, intrigued ones. Honestly, neither is good.

"I've told you about this a couple of times, but just now, I got the perfect opportunity to make this matter happen. From today, I will assign an exclusive maid for all of you in her person. Please welcome her." At the end of his sentence, I couldn't help and swallow a sudden outburst.

Okay, this is a curious background story that I got, indeed, I wasn't expecting that.

"No, you did not mention this..." Whispered, perhaps the youngest of the bunch. If I'm not wrong, he hasn't been in the palace for long, so I don't know much about him yet.

"I definitely did, Prince Luke. Perhaps your aloofness got the better of you this time too." Answered the minister with a bit of a scolding tone.

"But even then, we all have our own small circle of servants, which we have chosen for ourselves. Why do we need a common maid now?" Asked a black-haired prince. If I'm correct, his name is Leon. I've heard about him the most, he's far from the oldest, but he's a strong candidate for becoming king. He’s also the leader of the country’s domestic politics faction.

Also, that guy has to be here too, who's my brother's arch-enemy and leader of the foreign affairs... Chevalier is his name, right? I remember Gilbert always talking about a worthy rival in his person.

"We're in no need of another simpleton around us who will stick their nose into higher-up business." Speak of the devil. Suddenly, I don't know if he or Sariel fits this nickname more.

...Perfect blond locks were flowing in the non-existent wind, cold icy-blue eyes piercing through hearts and skulls, and that gaze that could turn me into an ice sculpture, if possible. Just like I'm back in Obsidian, freezing at night while heading back from the training grounds.

"This is strictly for the sake of your brotherly bond, I inform you, Prince Chevalier. But I ensure that she won't hear a thing about any private information on the kingdom and its policies or duties. But in fact, it depends on all of you since it's a common cause." He nodded and adjusted his glasses again.

I'm becoming wary of Sariel's use of the term 'common'. I'm not some document to pass around and argue about...

After that, it fell quiet for a while, all of them carefully pondering Sariel's words. I also had more time to examine each of them and even identify if my studies did fit their personalities.

"Well then, before we depart ways, let us introduce ourselves to each other." Then the minister looked at me expectantly.

Right, here goes nothing-

"Well, guess I'm going first." A tall, broad-shouldered male stood up abruptly with a confident smile.

-Guess I'm not going first, then.

"I'm the first prince of Rhodolite; the name's Jin Grandet, but you can just call me Jin. I don't like formalities, I feel like it'd put a wall between us. And I wouldn't like that." He winked at the end.

Then he came closer and crouched so that our faces would be on the same level and we could lock eyes.

"Woah, the closer I get, the prettier you look." He addressed me as he picked up a lock of my curly, ebony hair.

I've never learned about the princes having superpowers, but I'm starting to doubt that because right now, it looks like he and Nokto use telepathy or mind-reading..!

Meanwhile, some scoffs and grunts could be heard, while I tried to maintain myself from blushing at his sudden closeness.

If I didn't know better than all of them having different mothers, then I would believe that this Jin guy and Nokto are twins, judging only by their personalities.

"...You're the worst." A stone-cold voice broke or so-called idyll. "Why would I bother giving a simpleton my name, since you should already know it by now. I'm the second prince, and you should consider my introduction an honor, commoner." I looked past Jin to see his annoyed demeanor getting the better of him, with folded arms and an arrogant facial expression.

You don't have to worry - although I doubt you've ever been in that state - I know much more about you than just your name and title, Prince Chevalier.

"Oh, would you look at that it's my turn!" Clavis clapped his hands enthusiastically. Can't we leave him out? I already know him very well!

"Clavis Lelouch, third prince of Rhodolite at your service, dear new maid! Or, wait, you should be at my service!" He laughed at the end of his phenomenal joke and smiled, the same mischievous smile which never meant good things.

"Pleased to meet you, I'm Leon Dompteur, the fourth prince of Rhodolite. I'm glad you will be at our service." He stepped forward, then smiled too - but this time, it was a charismatic and graceful smile. One I appreciated, and for the first time in a long while, I had found it someway comforting.

"Yves Kloss, fifth prince of Rhodolite. You should call me Your Highness. That's the only proper way to address me!" He said in a haughty tone, with a sharp look in his eyes.

Okay, noted. And now who's next? I don't hear anybody.

"...Licht Klein, sixth prince of Rhodolite." I successfully caught the quiet royal's words. But it seemed like such a delicate whisper, and for a second, I questioned if perhaps I had imagined it.

Curious. He looks reserved, introverted, and almost uninterested compared to the others. It's almost a relief.

"Nokto Klein, Licht's younger twin, seventh prince. But you already know me, No-fun lady." He, too, wore a mischievous grin in the end, just like Clavis.

I think I see who are the two troublemakers here.

I was waiting for the last prince to introduce themselves, but I noticed he needed a nudge in the shoulder to realize he was next.

"Yeah, so... I'm Luke Randolph, seventh- no, the eighth prince of Rhodolite. Nice to meet you." He smiled broadly in the end, and had a child-like and carefree sense to his personality at first sight. He seemed so casual that it was hard to believe he's been trained as royalty.

I’m guessing being the youngest means it wasn't long ago since they brought him to the palace or something?

I'm sure it hasn't been a year, or even half a year because I would've heard of him. I'm curious about him too, nonetheless.

"Pleased to meet you all, my name's Artina. I'll be your exclusive common maid from now on. I hope to prove useful for all of your services." I forced a tiny smile to maintain a kind outlook and bowed.

They should be bowing to me, though. Soon enough, anyways.

"Well then, now that this is out of the picture, Artina-" Sariel turned to me with a relaxed expression, calling my name calmly.

Uh-oh, now he'll tell me to submit myself for the devil, and it's eight princes? This facial expression is a little bit bone-chilling right now...

"-While I discuss other matters with the princes, please make your way to the other side of the palace, where the attendants' quarters are. A butler will be at your service who'll explain more details about your job. He's already expecting you." He finished explaining, and without another word, I bowed a little once again and finally left his office.

Time to find out how to get to the other attendants' quarters. And I don't even have any directions to remember or start with this time.

What have I gotten myself into...?

The Queens Deceit Ikemen Prince Fanfiction

"...I'm curious though, why did you think that she's the one fit for the job, assisting us?" Asked Nokto shortly after Artina had left the office.

"Should I be afraid of the way she slaps?" Jin laughed lively, with a confident smile.

"Depends. I haven't experienced that for myself, Prince Jin. You've yet to gather information on that from someone else. Or perhaps the best information collecting comes by one experiencing it itself." He addressed with a small smile and elegantly ignored the seventh prince's question.

But that just left even more curiosity in Nokto.

...Woah, okay, so my edits compared to these are child's play and a speck of dust with an ant inside it lmao.

They ACTUALLY look like themselves haha, whereas my edits are like; "Yeah, you can catch some resemblance, it's there faintly, but only because I wrote down who's who. Plus maybe the eye color, but that's it."

Now I feel like I did a really poor job, even though considering how much I struggled, still? Man, I suck at these resemblance things turns out XD.

On the other hand... At the same time I want to think of my edits are a bit more realistic versions of the princes..? If that's possible?? Like, impossible-but-still-possible that you would see them on the streets one day. As in normal human form. (This doesn't make sense anymore.)

Uhh anyway— THESE ARE AMAZING AND I'M JEALOUS BUT STARSTRUCK AT THE SAME TIME, GOOD JOB @hakuoyuki YOU'RE AMAZING TOO!

(Don't mind me please, I should be sleeping by now oof.)

After seeing @cauldroncatx attempt to create a realistic version of Ikemen Vampire suitors using ArtBreeder... my friend ask me to give it a try with Ikemen Prince suitors too!

So here it is!

Realistic Ikemen Prince Suitors

1st Prince - Jin Grandet

2nd Prince - Chevalier Michel

3rd Prince - Clavis Lelouch

4th Prince - Leon Dompteur

5th Prince - Yves Kloss

6th Prince - Licht Klein

7th Prince - Nokto Klein

8th Prince - Luke Randolph

Devil Bureaucrat - Sariel Noir

Loyal Dog Butler - Rio Ortiz

I did my best to try and get it down to the point as possible. Unfortunately, there was quite a huge limitation in terms of hairstyles when it comes to bangs so I couldn't recreate Yves', Licht's, and Nokto's hairstyle as accurately as I hope to... but at least I hopefully managed to nail down their vibe!

For Jin, Clavis, Licht, Nokto, Luke, Sariel, and Rio, I manually edit their eye colors (and beauty marks if any) to match their actual features using ibisPaint X

The Queens Deceit Ikemen Prince Fanfiction

• Chapter IV.

The Queens Deceit Ikemen Prince Fanfiction

"-So you are the attendant Sariel told me about! And he assigned me to help you, at least in the first couple of days. Welcome, Artina!" When I finally reached the other side of the palace, I quickly found the butler to whom it was recommended to enlighten me about more things regarding my newly-found job here in Rhodolite.

It turned out that he's actually the new Belle's personal butler and hasn't been long in the palace either. But then again, he seems good at his job, seeing that the strict minister trusted him with this task.

"That must be such a challenging job, with all eight of them! Although I'm here only for a month, you can ask me too if you need any help. I'll gladly lend a hand, be it anything!" The new Belle - or Emma, as she introduced herself to me - gave me a supportive and enthusiastic smile while offering her assistance as well.

She really does have a pure heart. I would probably never do anything favorable for another person if I'm not getting something back... Oh well, cultural differences, I guess.

"Thank you, too. It means a lot. Only with you guys' encouragement, I'm much more confident about this job early on. Although it depends on the princes too." At my last remark, I laughed, and they chuckled too.

"That's for sure. I've been here for almost a week now, but there are still princes I can't seem to figure out, or I only see them quite rarely throughout the day. Maybe I should accompany you at least, and I would get to see and understand all of them better." Emma added, clearly determined.

She takes her responsibilities seriously, I see. The people can trust her then that she will choose the most fitting out of the princes, to be the king in the future. Good for them... if only it worked out like that in Obsidian too. Everything would be different.

"Since you have a lot to catch up on about your work, why don't we go somewhere more pleasant to discuss?" Rio - the butler - suggested with a small smile and gestured to one of the staircases, cornering the corridor we were standing by.

"Let's go to the garden! I'm sure you will like the flowers there! They bloom all year, and you can't get enough of their beauty!" Emma's eyes sparkled, and with that, they began to show me the way to the even more spacious castle gardens than ours back in Obsidian.

Basically, after that rushed morning meeting with the minister and the princes, my day passed peacefully, and I spent it with Belle and her butler. They kept me company and didn't abandon me, and for that, I was somewhat grateful since I still needed to learn my way around the palace.

Also, they warned me multiple times that my job won't be easy... Not that I expected it to be.

But starting from tomorrow, serving breakfast to the royals, I'm really doing this. It's been only two days since I fled from Obsidian's walls, and I can't help but wonder what is going on at home. I wouldn't call it homesickness - for now - since it's even quite pleasant being a long distance away from the castle and even the country's borders.

I just have this silly idea; what if, after some time, here I will forget the darker, chaotic reality of my situation and position in this world... and our empire?

The Queens Deceit Ikemen Prince Fanfiction

...Well, this is indeed odd. Are the others still sleeping, or are they not hungry?

"Watch your step! You almost knocked the plate out of my hand just now!" Another attendant's voice woke me up from my daydream, while we were serving breakfast to the royals.

Or, just only one of them, at the moment.

Prince Yves was the only one who came down to the exquisite and commodious dining room early in the morning to eat.

I had no clue about the others as I was genuinely surprised by their lack of presence, but the other servants didn't seem to care since they were constantly bringing tons of food to the table, restless.

Will the others eat it later, for lunch? Do they like late breakfast, or what?

Where I come from, food is a luxury, and even we in the castle can't and shouldn't afford such measures for a simple meal throughout the day.

Do they not appreciate the people - including us - working for their sake?

The more I thought about it, the more my blood was boiling, but I knew better than to cause a scene and raise suspicion.

...You're not in Obsidian, Artina. Get used to it, and swallow it for now.

"Prince Yves, may I ask where are your brothers and why don't they intend to come for breakfast?" On the other hand, I needed to hear some kind of answer to - one of - my burning questions. Surely he knows something since he's been living with them for years.

Meanwhile, I put his plate in front of him, waiting for an answer before heading back.

"Some of them eat breakfast later or oversleep and eat at lunchtime. But it does not concern me... and I told you to call me Your Highness." He said, mumbling the last part without looking at me. Then elegantly picked up the cutlery and started to eat.

Is it because of their duties? But Yves is here, though... Or maybe it just depends on the day?

I really shouldn't think about this too much. I'm just causing a useless headache for myself and my thoughts.

"-Why are you still standing here?" Now he looked into my eyes, seeming annoyed just by my mere presence.

"Well, I was also going to ask if you need help with anything? Any casual matters or duties?" I said quickly, so I don't embarrass myself, clearly zoning out again.

"...I suppose you are not as useless." He huffed, then tossed me a small piece of paper with delicate, legible handwriting.

I scanned it with my eyes for a brief moment and realized these are numerous ingredients for foods. Again, nutrition. Just when I want to erase it from my thoughts.

"Go to town and get me all of these by the afternoon. It shouldn't be too hard, so you better not mess it up." He addressed me sharply, and I only nodded, then left him alone.

That's right, this shouldn't be too challenging; I only have to do some shopping.

The Queens Deceit Ikemen Prince Fanfiction

"I'm beyond flattered that you decided to join us in such early hours in the morning, Lady Artina." Clavis smiled, sitting across from me in the carriage.

I literally didn't have a choice since you guys half-dragged me up here, but yes, I'm beyond flattered too.

"And this maid outfit suits you and your body quite nicely- if I might add." I looked to Nokto beside the purple-haired one, rewarding me yet again with a sly smile and a flirty tone.

...Don't even get me started on this dress; it's not even functional enough. It's only for pleasing the eyes, but wearing it gets quite the hustle.

"Although I prefer women showing their legs more, I think this dress still covers too much." Come on, Clavis, don't play along..!

"The more skin exposed, the better for me. I think the neckline could show a little bit more." Nokto added again.

"I don't think you should tease Artina on this." Said Luke from beside me, in a defensive tone. "Don't worry, they are not serious though." He turned to me with sincerity and kindness in his eyes and smiled.

"-But I might add too that I like ruffles, so more of them would be kind of nice, I guess." He confessed, at last.

"Oh, so you like the cute types then, Luke?" Nokto pushed on the topic even more.

Never mind about defending. Also, why is Prince Chevalier's faction telling me about their ideal types of maid outfits? And where's Chevalier himself anyway? I'd like to imagine that at least he would make them quiet.

"Might as well, don't you guys want to tell me Prince Chevalier's preference? Seeing that all of you are eager to share your own, schamlos." I blurted out, not watching the way I phrased the sentence.

"Huh? What was that last word you said?" Luke asked, confused.

...I know that my rule in life is that 'If nobody's going to do it, then I will.' but I didn't quite mean it to blow my cover when I thought about it at first!

At least I'll save other people the time and energy of investigating me, as it's been proven that I'm not good at hiding my identity!

Never mind; now that my speech backfired, I might as well save myself too.

"Shameless, if you want it spelled out. I just got tongue-tied for a second because of your teasing." Yeah, it sounds like a valid excuse, way to go.

"You get tongue-tied interestingly." Clavis chuckled.

I looked elsewhere, sighing, and finally felt the carriage take off.

At least, that saves me from witnessing or creating more embarrassing and suspicious moments for myself, and from now on, I will be just concentrating on the scenery that is rushing past us at a fast pace.

That way, maybe I will forget this weird exchange as soon as possible.

"By the way, we are going to the center of the town, right?" I asked hesitatingly after a couple of minutes.

"Yes, we have some business there." Nokto answered curtly, now his attention occupied by some papers lying in his hands.

I faintly nodded - not that he would see it since he was focusing on something entirely different.

...At least I'm going where I'm supposed to.

The Queens Deceit Ikemen Prince Fanfiction

The sun was shining high and bright on me that forenoon, and I was having a good time shopping and navigating through the town center.

I'm on my own in a foreign country, which is, moreover, enemy territory for me. I should be wary and uneasy, but I'm not.

As the mighty lightning orb in the sky was hinting at everything in a pure golden glow, it hinted away my worries too for a couple of hours.

For the first time it didn't feel like I was that much different from the ordinary townspeople. Everyone - including me too - was just enjoying the sun and good weather, it was that simple. I felt the same familiar feeling that they could be feeling as well. Ordinary... feelings that they must have felt. Yeah, it's been so long since I've felt ordinary, - or normal at all. Never before.

But as my small journey slowly came to a close, the heavy bags in my hands weren't the real things that weighed me down at that moment. Rather, they were my thoughts and my mind.

I kept comforting myself while I traveled back to the palace, now in silence since the three princes had an entirely different business from mine in the center. But I didn't miss them; I was grateful for the peaceful silence until I was back in the lions' den.

After I arrived safely at the palace, I immediately headed for the master kitchen to set the numerous ingredients there.

I was sure that Prince Yves wouldn't like me to deliver the shopping bags to his room, although the face he would make might be funny and worth it.

But I knew better than that and still chose the kitchen to safely pack away the flour, eggs, and baking oils.

I wonder why he needed so many of these? Did he request it for the servants in secret? Because right now, I can't imagine what he, alone, would do with loads of baking supplies.

The Queens Deceit Ikemen Prince Fanfiction

The following morning I was weirdly relieved to see more than just one royal sitting at the dining table, eating breakfast.

Other than Prince Yves, Prince Leon and Prince Jin was also seated close to the younger, pompous prince.

Prince Leon already had a plate in front of him, so I went to Prince Jin, hoping to serve him some real food... Seeing that he was fiddling with a lollipop's wrapping.

"Good morning, Prince-" I quickly realized my mistake before cutting my sentence short. But I already captured his attention, and he was looking at me and listening, now with a small but pleased smile. "Sorry, I meant to say Jin. Can I serve you some breakfast?" I automatically looked down at his lollipop, which he was still fiddling with. I hope he notices my intentions.

"Morning, Artina! Yesterday I didn't even see you in your adorable maid dress! I must say it fits you well." He complimented me with a broad smile, and before speaking again, he popped the - now wrapping-free - lollipop in his mouth. "About breakfast, don't strain yourself. I rarely eat breakfast in the mornings. But I enjoy seeing my brothers get their bellies full. Why don't you too, join us instead? It's the best when everyone eats together in a lively space, don't you think?" I suddenly found myself considering his offer with a good feeling accompanying it in my stomach. Fair enough, I was indeed hungry.

"Very well then. If that's your wish." I gave in and sat down, opposite Prince Jin and pulled a plate of food in front of me.

"Lady Artina, good morning! It's good to see you're eating with us too." Prince Leon greeted me, a couple of seats away.

Yves at the other side of the table, opposite Prince Leon, just silently grumbled something, but I took it as a greeting too.

"Much better. See? That's what gets the people bonding." Jin laughed, still completely satisfied with his lollipop.

...He wants me to bond already?

I let him be, didn't wanted to force anything, and started to eat quietly.

"Oh, also, I almost forgot to thank you for yesterday's feast!" Prince Leon rose from his seat a couple of minutes later, indicating that he had finished his meal.

"Excuse me? I didn't put together any kind of feast. I just went shopping in the morning-" I was slightly confused about what he was trying to imply.

"Well, without your shopping, Yves here probably couldn't have made his delicious desserts for us in the faction room by the evening! We were celebrating some recent accomplishments, and he was so generous that he baked for us again!" Jin exclaimed proudly, patting his brother's shoulder by stretching out over the several empty chairs separating them.

Wait... So Prince Yves bakes? Furthermore, he bakes desserts? I admit I didn't expect that, but that's such an adorable gesture!

"Well, I'm glad to be of help, always!" I smiled genuinely at the end.

Why do I feel giddy all of a sudden? This is just a conversation at breakfast.

"-You don't have to tell it to every single breathing creature in this castle, you know. It was just a small gesture, nothing more." Yves looked up, scolding his older brother hastily, but I saw that his ears turned a bright shade of red because of our exchange.

"Don't be shy, we enjoyed it very much. And we're always looking forward to your dainties!" Leon added, smiling at the younger one, and went to pat his head too.

I just quietly enjoyed the brothers' interaction from my seat while munching on my breakfast.

It was nice seeing them being friendly with each other, it lifted my mood too. It also made me suddenly remember my own family, especially my brother.

It's not like we used to be like this... we were never that friendly around each other, it was more like respect and a strong sense of trust, but nonetheless, these were the kind of moments I appreciated with Gilbert while we were younger.

Good memories, I suppose.

Everything happened so fast. one moment, you're standing next to him on the balcony during a ball hosted to celebrate your engagement to him, and the other there's blood everywhere.

Jin's heart pounds heavily. he can feel his hands trembling as he looks down to check where you're wounded. While he applies pressure to your biggest wound, Jin feels more panicked as your blood covers his hands.

In the end, all that he can do is leave you in the hands of the palace physicians

As the first prince of Rhodolite, Jin was known to be very easy-going and relaxed, but now that someone has messed with you they're going to see a whole new side of him.

Gone is the ever so calm and relaxed first prince, instead, he's been replaced by a bloodthirsty monster brutal enough to send shivers down the culprit who hurt you's spine with a single glare. No amount of begging nor pleading is about to save the man from what Jin is about to do to him, Not even Sariel dares to question.

After he's finished with the man, Jin will be right by your side, taking out his anger had helped him temporarily, but now he feels both numbness and despair over you. What was he supposed to do while your complexion got paler and paler as the hours slowly passed? Now that he's been left all alone to hold your limp hand, tonight's events haunt him.

Jin is too anxious to leave you for even a moment. he's afraid that tonight you may take your last breath and he will lose you...

•••🄻🄴🄾🄽•••

Leon should have known better than to bring you to the battlefield. Honestly... what was he thinking?

Leon sees an enemy soldier creep behind you while you're helping bandage one of Rhodolite's soldiers from the corner of his eye. He feels like his heart stops beating. Licht reacted fast since he was the closest to you and cut the man down before he hurried to your aid... already too late to save you.

Leon feels cold. Nothing but you matters right now, He cuts down anyone in his way, resembling Chevalier, "The brutal beast" more than himself. But Leon doesn't care. He can't risk losing you... While he knows he cannot abandon his troops, he desperately needs to check if you will be alright.

Leon knows he must remain here- on the battlefield no matter what, so as much as it pains him to not be there for you when you need him most, he will remain here. In the end, Rhodolite successfully deals with Obsidian's act of aggression, and Leon hurries to see you.

Your face looks pale, your body is lying limply, and the only sign of you being alive is the rise and fall of your chest as you breathe. Leon feels crushed, and the physician informs him that your time is limited and that whether you live or die now depends on fate and fate alone.

if only he hadn't agreed to your insistence to come here, then you would have been fine. You would have smiled at him right now. you would have hugged him. As you lay there, Leon's mind is all over the place as his guilt eats him up, the only thing he begs and wishes for right now is that you live. please don't leave him.

You're his woman... His lover, so what point would there be to a life without you?

•••🅈🅅🄴🅂•••

Assassination attempts were nothing new, but getting this close to murdering Yves was. and you took the blow for him... Yves blames himself for everything, for you being deadly injured, himself for not seeing that he'd walked right into a trap and led you straight into it with him.

Tears begin to fill Yves` eyes as he cradles your weakening body

All he can do now as your life slowly fades away is pray you make it back into Rhodolite.

Yves feels an overtaking sense of fear when he realizes just how pale your face has become. Would the physician have an antidote for the poison?, was it even a poison native to Rhodolite? or was it a poison native to Obsidian? What if it was already too late for an antidote?... what will happen to you? Yves overthinks every worst-case scenario that comes to mind.

It's when the two of you arrive at the palace and Nokto greets him that Yves learns just how much of a mess he's become.

The feeling of dread he had this whole time becomes unbearable when he is told that the poison cannot be identified by the physician. Everything is too much, and Yves finally breaks down from the stress.

All that Nokto can do as he's trying to hold his brother together brother right now is call for Clavis and hope that he would be able to help save both you and his brother. If you don't make it alive then Yves probably wouldn't either.

Licht feels terrible. He swore an oath to himself to protect what matters to him most, and yet... he failed to protect you, and you are the most important person to him.

Licht feels scared as he holds you and he sees the blood seep from underneath his hand.

He can feel himself trembling as you look up at him, Licht tries to soothe you while you wait for the physician to arrive, but, in reality, he's trying to comfort himself.

Minutes feel like hours and he can feel the tears running down his cheek as his vision blurs.

How could this happen? Licht feels angrier and angrier with himself for not defending you on time...

terror slowly overtakes him as you take in a sharp breath and close your eyes, telling him not to worry and trying to comfort him at a time like this.

How could you worry about him while you're in so much pain...?

His heart beats heavily as he roughly wipes his tears away with his arm.

When the physician finally does arrive Licht does not want to leave your side, even as his twin tries to convince him to. It would be better if Licht wasn't there and nervously pacing.

In the end, Nokto comes up with a brilliant idea on how to get Licht to leave you in the hands of the palace physician, Revenge.

an idea oh-so appealing for the 6th prince.

Licht's crimson eyes glimmer dangerously as vengeance clouds his mind. his body moves on its own and before he knows it, he's left you alone and tracking down your assaulters, Licht's cruelty has no match when he finds them, and when he returns the palace's maids are all shaken up by the sight of the 6th prince covered in blood, blood still drips from Licht's sword when he comes into your room to check on you.

His bloodied hand holds your own as he presses a kiss to your knuckles and looks at your peaceful sleeping face.
