Joe’s a hard nut to crack. He’s chronically paranoid and untrusting. It’s the natural result of the life he’s livin’, ain’t nothin’ more than that.
But once you crack that nut? There’s no shaking him. He doesn’t have very many people he can safely say he trusts, much less actually enjoys spending time with. He’ll want you to stick around as much as possible, he’s totally starved for human connection.

Even though the two of you don’t do so many activities together, he misses your presence very quickly, and he worries about you and when you’re coming back. It’s the paranoia.
