Me, after finishing the second season of Dark: thinking that now I can re-watch the first season more thoughtfully, focusing on a concept of time and free will, staying absolutely calm.
Also me, a half an hour into the first episode of S1: crying my eyes out after hearing Mikkel say "Ultimate fist bump", having zero chill about any on-screen interaction between family members, realising that Bartosz was able to steal Martha away by telling her that Jonas hooked up with French chicks 24/7 for the last two months, heartbroken over any detail that make those rare beautiful smiles dissapear from Jonas' face, unable to get over Michael's suicide, ending up being depressed.
Reaction on the Stranger’s appearance for the first time (Dark S1E2)
Seeing the Stranger for the first time, all mysterious, covered in dirt, looking like he knows what the heck is going on, when nobody else does
Me, already hooked on the character:
Watching him stepping out of the shower and spending his time in a hotel room with an investigation (?) wall, dressed only in a towel and doing some cryptic stuff
Me, totally intrigued with everything about him:
A moment after the episode has ended, I was web searching the actor’s name and then I've found out that in real life he looks like this:
Me, realizing that the temperature of the room has increased drastically [Honestly, that gaze and that looks... Mamma mia...] :
I wish I could say that things changed much, but the Stranger is still one of my favorite characters and Andreas Pietschmann is still ridiculously good looking for a 50-years old man. So... I am still a bit of a “Monica from this gif” about it.
Hope i am not the only one like that :D
P.S.: I know I’m one year and a half late to post it, but my blog was created very recently and I needed to share it with you guys :)
When you finally connected all the dots
This? Oh, this is just The Stranger after taking a shower, looking like a Greek god for two seasons straight.
Dark Parallels S1E2 - S2E4
dark || everything is interconnected [2x01\2x08]
Perfection!
Guys... I have found this masterpiece on YouTube today and I've never seen a better video on Dark Season 2. This is a “must watch” situation. The parallels, the quotes, the music, the editing - they're as close to perfection as it could get.
I do not own anything, just sharing a beautiful video created by littlesociopath with you all.
Somebody give this boy a hug!
Dear Dark writers, please make Jonas happy in Season 3, he didn't deserve any of this shit...
Jonas is not having the best year
Exactly, you guys!! None of our ships is safe! In this show incest is everywhere...
P.S. I've already come to terms with Jonas&Martha. At least we know how they are related, soo... In it's own twisted way, it is almost safe to ship them now. I do. Don't judge me for that, please :)
ooh also in season one of Dark it’s heavily implied that claudia became pregnant with regina after the affair with tronte (ulrich’s dad) so if regina and ulrich are siblings that makes bartosz and martha cousins so that relationship was also incest asdfghjkll
The story of a boy who traveled through time
A tribute to Jonas Kahnwald
The evolution of Jonas throughout all three seasons of Dark.
This post is Adam-free :)
I just love how cool Jonas/The Stranger is going to look in season 3!!
I would really like to add something, but this post is already perfect and I agree with it on 101%.
I don't get why people are so upset with DARK actually addressing the screw up with time travel like "incest". Why are you so disgusted by Jonas/Martha? These two know it's wrong but the show is a tragedy. It's important to show it, the upsetting part of that reality. How right and wrong can be on the same side of the coin.
We can't choose what or whom we want. That's the whole point of the show. There is no free will. You can't unlove someone by choice. You can't undo something because by trying to stop it you actually start it.
The show is called DARK for a reason.
It's a deep psychological labyrinth they are exploring here, going beyond mainstream boundaries and I find that refreshing. I thought a lot about what was said on this show. It inspires me to think out of the norm and makes me question how I approach my life.
Please calm down about the close relations some characters share with each other. It comes second in the storytelling. DARK wants us to see the greater picture. Don't take this show as an education about relationships. It's about something else entirely. Open your mind for the impossible being possible. Don’t limit yourself to stereotypes. It’s an incredible masterpiece exploring the roots of some of our greatest fears within the dream to beat time itself.
Approach DARK as the dark tragic and unapologetic poetry that it is.
Agree with everything that was written and crossed out😂
Nevertheless, when you stumble upon his and his wife's photos together, you can see how happy they look and ... I can't ignore the fact that he's taken. But adult Jonas from Dark isn't💃😉
Andreas Pietschmann is 50. I`ll just leave that information here for everyone to soak it in because this is my goal in life, looking 20 years younger in my 50s. Also, I`d marry him in a heartbeat.
Dark is a Kama Sutra for your brain. In the beginning you have no idea in how many beautiful ways your brain will be "loved" and "twisted". In the middle you are enjoying the process so much you can't keep the track of time, looped in this extasy, and after it finished... You just keep laying down in your bed, exhausted, trying to understand: "was it the best sex my brain has ever had?". Can I erase my memories and do it all over again?
- one of my morning thoughts about Netflix's Dark
At least we know that for the next 32 years Jonas will continue to be hot.
So, there's that.
Not much for a consolation prize after surviving numerous murder attempts, endless life tragedies and losing pretty much all the people you cared about, though.
imagine meeting the sexy version of yourself from thirty years who has a cool beard and looks like he was rolling in the mud in s01 and then in s02 you meet a even further version of yourself that looks like a passion fruit and a raisin fucked and had a child
jonas’ life is rough
I was crying right there. Their reunion is so beautiful and dramatic, it hits you in all your feels! I guess, it's my favourite scene of Hannah with Jonas in Dark.
I don’t need your fucking paradise. I just want to go home.
Which Jonas took Mikkel to the caves?
(Dark S2-S3 thoughts)
Usually there are two opinions - either it is Jonas after his trip to another world or it's Jonas from his travels with Claudia.
We know that time is linear within the loop, if you travel with a help of the passage or the time apparatus. Only the God's particle can break the rule of linearity, and can take you whenever you want /to some random time. And we still don't know how Martha's golden sphere works, and what can it do.
Ok, let's jump into the "which Jonas..." discussion.
In my opinion, Jonas who got Mikkel through the caves is probably Jonas from his year with Claudia. Let's briefly recall the events supporting this idea:
So Jonas 2020 returns on 20-21 June of 2019 through the Dark matter bubble. He kisses Martha, already being 1 year older than her at the time (if it's safe to presume they were born in the same year). He causes Jonas 2019 and Martha to make love and then goes to save his father. That idea fails, as Michael tells him that Jonas from very near future gets him through the caves. Claudia appears, and Jonas 2020 leaves with her to linearly travel in time by 33 years cycles. So I assume that in 4 and a half months he returnes to show Mikkel the way and then continues his travels with Claudia. When he returnes home in the day of the Apocalypse, he still is at least 1 year older than he should have been if he would not traveled in time. Then Martha finds him, Adam finds them, Martha 2 finds them too (Seriously, Jonas, were you even hiding??) And they travel to another world to which we have 1001 questions to ask. We don't know how the time-space traveling works there – do they have a loop, and how can you time travel, linearly or not? We still have no idea for how long Jonas is going to stay there, or when it will be safe to come back.
That's why I think the Jonas from his "travels with Claudia" time is the one who gets Mikkel to the caves.
So, untill proven wrong by season 3, it seems like a solid theory to me:)
Let me know your thoughts in the notes section:)
Gosh, I love when this boy smiles... It's like the world is getting brighter for a moment.
P.S.: I don't even know what hits my feels more – smiling Jonas or crying Jonas.
