Keep Writing, Keep Creating
With all the conversations going on over the past few days in the Dreamling fandom - I think a lot of people could be feeling stalled on their writing/art in one way or another on stuff they might have had in progress.
This is your nudge.
(Cause I'm feeling it, too.)
Take a deep breath and keep writing.
Take a deep breath and keep drawing.
Take a deep breath and keep creating those metas, making those gifsets, designing those moodboards, making memes, you name it.
You can keep something in mind - and be aware of it - and not address it in your current project. That's okay. Allow people to be critical of characters, of the show, in their own spaces, and focus on your own works and projects. You don't need to engage, and in fact, it's better if you don't.
(If you want some great reads on the topics over the past few days - please check out @seiya-starsniper and their blog. ALSO, their writing is AMAZING, so after you've done that, please go devour their entire Ao3, you can thank me later.)
Keep writing, keep creating, and keep trucking on, darlings. The fandom world will always keep spinning.
There is a boy prince who lays on this forest’s floor.
He has been here so long the ground has sunk to hold him and roots have grown to intertwine with strands of his hair and flowers have bloomed to caress his limbs. Tethering him.
Moonshine tears itself into ribbons to descend tattered through trees to keep him company through the night, until the sun rises. And her children of light reach him at last and kiss his eyelids closed, submerging him in warmth until each morning dew drop tear has been evaporated away.
The forest air fills his lungs until every crevice of him is teaming with the spirit of this place. Until the very essence to this forest has woven itself into the thread of his being. Until it is no longer clear who is keeping who alive.
And yet, he stays. Soil under nails, starlight trapped in eyes, moss filling ears, the light fades and rain falls and the boy cannot lift an arm to shield himself. The beautiful flowers tie him down and he does not struggle. Even as bare branches refuse to shelter him. And no light comes down to save him.
And.
It was not always like this.
Mute distractions and concentrate.
Identify your goals.
Prioritize by urgency and complexity.
Work on these goals regardless of how you are feeling in the moment. Emotions are fleeting.

Highschool!AU | Teacher!Jungkook x Student!Reader (ft. Taehyung)
genre: smut, fluff
rating: explicit
description: You, the perfect student, in detention? Something’s not right here…
word count: 3.5k
warnings: This is a teacher taking advantage type of story + blackmail + sexual harassment. If you don’t support teacher x student, then please don’t read it. This isn’t supposed to be “realistic” and in no way a “healthy” relationship (unless you’ve got an open mind). AGAIN, if you get offended by the idea, DO NOT READ IT.
a/n: I will no longer be answering asks about this fic and how inappropriate it is. I chose a high school setting for a reason. Please do not complain about it. You have been warned. Anyway, happy reading and thank you!
update: I added a different ending since people wouldn’t stop harassing me about the story in general. Rather than deleting it overall, I’ll just say this. It was all just a dream. Now leave me be. OC was 18.

I’m sick of people telling writers not to use an idea because it’s “overused” or “not original.”
A huge part of writing is making the idea your own.
Do you want to write about vampires?! THEN FOR GOD’S SAKE, WRITE ABOUT VAMPIRES!
Oh, dystopian futures are overused? PUT YOUR OWN SPIN ON IT!
Guys, don’t let people stomp on your ideas. A story is a bunch of puzzle pieces that everyone has access to - but it’s your choice how you put them together. How you put it together and how you present it makes that idea uniquely yours, even if it’s a familiar concept.
Your idea isn’t lame.
Own it.
Make it yours.
Motto of the day (and probably the week):
A first draft is better than nothing!
Currently working on my essay and very unsatisfied with the progress and the work I'm producing. But it is better than nothing and from there I can start editing it. But first finish the first draft. (minimum 2000 ZoL left)
the advice that "someone out there will like your writing" is so good but shouldn't you think of what you want to write first? write something you want to read, write something you like. no one else has to like it but it matters if you do.
I feel like this is in every fandom space. I will rec a fic with 1 kudos or 2k kudos if I like it, I will rec a brand new author but I will still continue to rec authors like isthatbloodonhisshirt because I love their work and I’m not going to apologize for that. But again I will also rec a brand new author.
My fics have never been shared or recced. NEVER. Not once. In either fandom I write for which right now is Teen Wolf and AFTG. But I still write. Yes kudos, comments, and recs are great and yes it’s disappointing when they don’t come but at the end of the day you still created something! You did that! You wrote that! Keep writing!! Maybe the recs will come maybe they won’t but you still created something and that’s awesome! I firmly believe you have to find joy and worth in your writing even when no one else does.
