This is for the asks on why I ship FushiKugi.
Well, I started to become much closer to the Jujutsu Kaisen fandom for the past few months. You all know that every fandom has shippers and there are problems and beefs with other people around us. As a FushiKugi shipper, I have been asked for a handful of times on why I like the ship. Till date, I have not perfectly explained why I liked them. In this post I will tell why I actually like them. This is going to be quite long though.
Before I begin, I would just like to tell a few things which we all need to understand. We shippers are naturally biased (or may not) towards our favorite ships. We also have slight negative biases for the ones which we hate or don’t like that much. Its hundred percent okay to have biases because they are quite natural. Maybe, I am a bit biased for FushiKugi and have some negative biases for its rival ships- Most of it being ItaKugi, NobaMaki and/or maybe even ItaFushi. Nevertheless, I stay a bit unbiased and appreciate its rival ships as well. Btw, I multi-ship Nobara with all the three but I am far more inclined for FushiKugi. Maybe because I am biased.
Well, its absolutely fine if you don’t ship FushiKugi because they are not your cup of tea. Definitely okay, but what pisses me off at times is people questioning me about shipping FushiKugi. They don’t really question when people ship Nobara with Maki because its quite a very popular ship in the fandom. Even ItaKugi for that matter, but they are like, “FushiKugi…. why you ship it?” or “I can’t understand why people ship Nobara with Megumi” or “FushiKugi, is that even a ship?” or anything like this. Okay, you hate them, you hate them. That’s not my problem, but can’t you just give a second thought or accept that everyone are entitled to have their own opinions, choices and preferences?
Didn’t Nobara have screentime and moments with Megumi too? Weren’t there times they shared a good chemistry? Also weren’t there times when they too had some notable moments? I can’t understand why people tell that NobaMaki and/or ItaKugi made sense but not FushiKugi. There is a hypocrisy behind their opinion. Nobara almost shared equal chemistry with both Yuji and Megumi. The dynamics were just different, but they were more or less made equally sense.
In the love-triangle between Yuji, Nobara and Megumi, FushiKugi arguably gets the least attention or fan contributions from the fans because they think that Yuji is more of a shippable character than Megumi or Nobara because of Yuji’s affable and extroverted persona. That’s why ItaFushi and ItaKugi are comparatively popular.
However…. just because Megumi is very introverted and anti-social, it doesn’t mean he should not have any girl friend or should be shipped with any female character. Nobara is practically the only female character he has interacted with after Tsumiki, who is actually his step-sister. Anti-social guys can form a lot of potential building chemistry w/any girl. Anti-social guys can actually have more development than extroverted ones because they aren’t like that. They will travel the road to become more socializing with people. They have more room to improve themselves. They’ll learn to socialize well and that’s a development for them. There is no such policy saying that guys like Megumi are better off-single than getting married. I have seen the same from Naruto fans who tell that for Sasuke. In this case, Megumi is also a shippable character and it wouldn’t make sense for him to be shipped with any other character apart from Nobara if we talk ‘bout hetero ships. Yuji still has an untapped potential w/his classmate Yuko Ozawa, whom Yuji acknowledged and respected her despite many of his class peers didn’t care about her that much because of her being fat and kinda weird. Heck, he even says that he will pick her out of all the classmates in their class.
You might even tell that they are together because they are teammates. But, teammates are really potential to form an amazing chemistry because they are close! They are put as teammates for a reason. They not even need to be romantic.
Honestly speaking, Slash or femslash have the least probability to become the endgames in shounen as far as we have seen. Barely any BL or GL ship becomes canon. Its absolutely okay to still ship them because nobody forced you to ship canon ships. Heck, I am not sure if even FushiKugi will become canon but I still ship it. So we all are not yet sure which couples will become the endgame.
Thus it quite pisses me off when antis tell that FushiKugi never made sense. Ironically, even the skepticism about their hate is what really doesn’t make sense. If we ship, we exactly don’t need a reason. Sometimes we don’t need a reason to like something, we just need a reason to hate something. Regardless, there are a lot of shippers who still have reasons to support them.
So finally…. I will tell why I love the ship so much.

Itadori Yuuji has seen a lot of things in his life, despite the fact that never ending fights against curses, he never knew that the greatest thing or mystery he would unfold was you. Here you are now, staring at him, while the moon was also complimenting him in glee: it must be fate or maybe something else, but Yuuji always thanked the gods that he met you.
You wandered alone through those empty halls of the building but right now, here you are watching him as he tries to reclaim his old strength that once was lost. “Yuuji, why don’t you try to rest, first?” He was indeed tired but the moon seemed to show his admiration for the boy, his endless pretty details feeding the lack of shine of the stars. “I need to get stronger..” He muttered as he stared at your eyes with a glimpse of hope and home. He listened to you, and thank you for staying in with him
“What movie should we watch tomorrow?” You asked him, as he sat next to you, “It depends, Gojo-sensei is picking what movie I should watch next..” He sighed, “Wel, if you say so...” Then it was silence, not that kind you would like to run away with but a kind of silence that is comforting and full of warmth.
The starry night took away Itadori’s tiredness, and he leaned his head on your shoulder. “What did I do to deserve you?” You had to admit it was such a common line to use by such but it meant everything to Itadori. “It doesn’t matter what you did, all I know is that we both deserve each other..” Truth to be told, you also thought of things that maybe Itadori deserved better but here you are now, him next to you under the same room with the same night sky. “The moon is indeed pretty...” You said with a smile on your face, earning a chuckle from Itadori.
“Yep, It is indeed pretty.” He then lifted his head and looked up. “I wonder how pretty the sun is..” You whispered but Itadori smiled and replied. “I bet the sun is also really pretty, maybe the sun shines like that because when you look at the sun you’ll be blinded by its beauty.” He joked, which you gave in. “What?” You noticed him staring again.
“You look pretty, when you laugh..”
He told and as if it was a magical spell you immediately got flustered with his words. You smiled at him and pinched the bridge of his nose, as the night started to get deeper Yuuji vowed to you that.
“(Name). Years from now, million years from now. I would still choose to love you.”
And the goddess of moon always knew that in every timeline it would always end with him next to you.

What’s their limits?
So I had an idea for a story that's parallel to what's happening now but I realized that I don't fully understand how the jujutsu sorcery works. I get that you need a stockpile of energy to do certain things and to know the techniques but what are the limits? I haven't read any of the manga so much of what I think is just speculation from the anime. But it seems similar to the Deadly Education series where the students would need to know the science behind what they were doing in order to accomplish it. I can see this fitting with Gojo since he's smart enough to know exactly what he's doing with the amount of power he has. However, does that mean there could also be a sorcerer at the levels of Dr. Strange where they can do pretty much whatever they want? There's also the different specialties that people use in the anime. Like Inumaki, who uses cursed speech, his limits of how much he can use in one instance are clear but what is his most powerful move? Can anyone copy techniques like these or does it take certain skill? Basically this discussion is about the inner workings of jujutsu sorcery!

Seems like he’s really organized but a slob (but like normal teen boy slob)
Only reason his room is organized is because that what he does when he can’t sleep
Probably listens to Mr. Brightside on a weekly basis

Was put in hip hop classes by Gojo and now secretly sneaks off campus to go practice
Mans is a Capricorn so he’s low key crazy but really fun when he trusts you
Will initiate physical affection for things like hugs or putting an arm around someone
I really hc Megumi in the dub, not because it’s better, but because he’s so curt and snappy
Takes two showers a day, one hot one cold- don’t ask me why
I feel like he’s naturally good at video games
I also hc that he’s low key really competitive
Was forced to sit in the middle seat of a car because Yuji was taller and Nobara didn’t want to sit in the middle
Constantly debating trying to name his divine dogs and other shikigami because he tried it once before and it died
This happened when he was like 13 and it scared him for life
Doesn’t panic or cry when something major happens but hyperventilates and gets more snappy then usual

Zones in when writing reports for missions and doesn’t even notice when Yuji and Nobara enter his dorm and hang out there
He’s been going on Gojo’s grade 4 and below missions since he was in middle school
Neither of them told Tsumiki and she was pissed when she found out
Tried asking Gojo about his dad once when the topic came up and Gojo didn’t talk to Megumi for the rest of the day
Can cook simple dishes because Gojo also can cook minimal dishes
Picks up things really fast, martial arts, cooking, music, techniques
Really popular but he doesn’t know/doesn’t believe it
Says stupid stuff like “time for you to get a watch” when someone asks the time

They all found out they were kiss virgins still and all felt embarrassed
He’s not a feminist because he’s always been taught to see everyone as equal no matter what they looked like

Also is used to Maki and Nobara dealing with their own problems in the most aggressive feminine manner ever
Gojo made all kinds of dad jokes when he was younger so now that’s his go-to sense of humor

Saw a girl who looked like Tsumiki while out in Tokyo and freaked out
Doesn’t think he should see a therapist

Also really liked that movie Rescued by Ruby and was devastated when he found out the dog who played Ruby died irl

The only reason he doesn’t like fiction books is because he finds all kinds of plot holes and hates it
History nerd- developed during the start of his non-fiction phase
Startled by the thought of aliens being real
Doesn’t like thinking of space or other universes, it hurts his brain
Definitely holds his breath when going over bridges
Probably calls out animals when driving past them
“Cows.” “Horses.” “Sheep.”
Yuji and Nobara are so done with him for doing this
He really likes the hole-in-the-wall and mom and pop restaurants
Probably has a solid 10 that he frequents and knows the owners on a personal level
