Easy Lemonade Juice, water, and sugar...quick and simple lemonade!
Lemonade
Hey ya'll, I have this great lemonade recipe, it doesn't have any butter though...
For Sugar Syrup:
2 cups Sugar
1 cup Water
1/4 t. Salt
1 T. Ginger (Optional)
Put these ingredients in a pot on low heat. Stir constantly and bring it to a boil. Let it boil for 5 minutes. Take it off the burner and strain it (Especially if you decided to put ginger in).
1 cup (Around 6 Lemons, You can add more)
1 cup Orange Juice
Rind of 2 Lemons (Optional)
Put these into a pitcher. Pour Sugar Syrup into the pitcher. Add water and ice to the 64 ounce (8 cups) line. Put in refridgerator and serve cold.
*Note- This lemonade is very sugary and strong, so only drink a little bit at a time.
tag yourself!!
iced tea- conspiracy theories, hates small talk, still watches cartoons and anime, gives good advice, everyday is an existential crisis
milkshake- underrated humor, listens to lofi hip hop, good at taking photos, only loud around friends, wears oversized shirts
frappucino- the hype friend, has lots of inside jokes, insecure about being too annoying, can sleep anywhere, loves dogs, likes hot showers
soda- always has low storage, wears face masks, procrastinates a lot, rants to friends, the type to cry and say tears are good for the skin
lemonade- self-deprecating jokes, cranky in the mornings, has more internet friends than “real” friends, tries to be organized but can’t
I'm a limeade & lemonade enthusiast.
Many mixed drinks are variations of these. Sweet, sour, liquor.
But. One thing I must scream from the mountain tops is SALTED LEMONADE & LIMEADE.
This possiblity was brought to my attention at a now closed Vietnamese restaurant that used salted lemon pickles in their salted lemonade.
It's one of my favorite things to have after sweating. Drinking it not too cold feels like your blood is replenishing in real time, but sexily. Cold and iced it's delicious.
You can just add salt [I'd go non-iodized if you have it - kosher is good, you might not mind] to some fresh squeezed lemon or limeade (for limeade I use a squeeze of agave syrup - it's super quick, tasty, and adds some fun flavors. - Sugar is cool too, you can make a simple syrup if you want a similar quickness - I bow hunt people who buy plain simple syrup. Bring a pot to a simmer with 1:1 or 1:2 water to sugar. Dissolve the sugar. You can caramelize it a bit if you like those flavors. You don't have to. Don't pay $ for goddamn premade sugar water. Bottle it in a bottle you saved - buy a metal funnel for a buck - now you have a simple syrup. Put that shit in the fridge. Use it, don't use it if it has mold/smells weird. Bonus points throw some ginger or spices in. Cooking and making drinks can be fun. A honey syrup is even easier - put honey and water in a bottle 1:1 should be fine... Shake the bottle.)
Salted lemonade & limeade.
Delicious. I drink lemonade with honey and salt when I'm sick - not too cold. It's one of my favorite things. I treat myself to it often.
When my mom made salted myer lemon pickles from our now dead trees (we blame global warming) I almost reached nirvana.
I'm on my knees begging you. If you love yourself, want to love yourself. Think you might like these drinks. Salt some fresh lemonade to taste.
It might not change your life. But it shouldn't take long to figure out if you like making this stuff. I think it's *generally* achievable and repeatable. You get to make a little thing for yourself or someone else!
Be well!

I thought this was great @incorrect-kotlc-quotes hope you are ok with reblogs!
Sophie: Well, you know what they say, when life gives you lemons...
Biana: Put them in a facemask
Dex: Use them in a battery
Keefe: Throw them at people
Tam: Squirt the juice in life's eyes. Steal life's wallet and assume its identity. Now you are life and hold dominion over all. Your enemies cower at your feet.
Sophie: ....make lemonade, guys. The answer was make lemonade.
Fun fact, taking Iron with Vitamin C actually helps with iron absorption, especially non-heme iron from plant sources. My granduncle told me this first, and I've been taking my iron meds with some unsweetened lemonade ever since. I no longer feel like I'm on an acid trip every time I stand up so something is definitely working. Note, I used to feel like shit even while on no-lemonade iron meds.
Anemia sucks btw.
i know vitamin c basically neutralizes adhd meds but lemonade good
goddammit nicole WHY did u put kill yourself juice in some of your songs (late luteal vibes)
