Chapter 6 - It’s Not Your Fault
You and Levi are walking into the enormous room for the opening ceremony. Your father’s company definitely went all out for this. The decorations and the snacks look amazing. You take a seat towards the back and check the time. It’s 5 oclock, hopefully this doesn’t go too long so you can get some sleep.
There’s quite a few speakers, most of them just introducing themselves so you know who they are for the week. Most of the time you tune them out and stare at the wall. You sneak a glance at Levi to see him paying very close attention to what the speakers are saying. You hide your smile that is forming.
Your Dad walks on stage and everyone's on their feet clapping.
“My name is Felix L/n, and as you know, I’m the CEO of this company”, Your Dad says with a smile.
It’s a little strange to see him in this setting. Even though you will take over the company one day, he’s always been very good about making sure you don’t experience the stress of the company. He wanted you to have somewhat of a normal life. Now that you will be graduating in the spring, you have to start learning about the company and taking on more responsibilities.
Your Dad is talking about his slideshow. He goes to the next slide and you see many different pictures of you. This makes you groan and you put your hand on your face. Levi chuckles at your embarrassment.
“This is my daughter, Y/n. She is your future CEO”, He says proudly. You hear a few gasps throughout the room. “Y/n will be graduating from University in the spring, and will be more involved with the company. So get used to seeing her face. In fact, she is here now in the crowd. Y/n please stand so everyone is able to see you.”
You are absolutely mortified. A small blush creeps on your cheeks and you awkwardly stand and wave. You look around and everyone is smiling at you.
“That’s my girl! Isn’t she beautiful? Single too!”, Your dad says happily.
“Oh my god”, You whisper. You sit down and put your head in your hands. You’re so embarrassed and ready to go back to the hotel.
Your Dad continues, “Cocktail hour will last an hour after this. Please come say hello to my daughter and I!”
You glare at your Dad. He said that on purpose so you couldn’t leave. You’re only staying for one hour and that’s it. Any longer and you will throw a fit.
As your Dad is making his final announcements, you sit with your arms crossed and a small pout.
Levi leans over, “Don’t be so childish.”
You whisper back, “I hope you realize my Dad is going to force me to talk to single men for the next hour. That sounds like torture to me.”
Levi looks at you confused, “Why wouldn’t you enjoy that?”
You sigh, “They only want me for my money and the company” You show Levi a weak smile, “But it’s okay, I can handle myself.”
The first thing you do when cocktail hour starts is chug a glass of champagne. You reach for another one and stomp over to your Dad.
“Would you like to explain to me what the hell that was all about?”, You ask angrily.
“Language, Y/n. I just wanted to give you a warm introduction”, He responds with a smile.
You roll your eyes, “It sounded like you were trying to marry me off. Please don’t ever do that again without letting me know ahead of time. I may be single, but I’m okay with that.”
Your Dad winks at you, “For now.”
You spend the next hour talking to countless men. Some talk only business with you, while others flirt incessantly with you.You were trying to be cordial, but there was one man who was really getting under your skin. Levi kept his distance during all of this, but had his eyes on you the entire time.
After one hour of non-stop talking and four glasses of champagne you were ready for bed. You were leaving the bathroom when someone put their arm against the wall, blocking you from heading to your car.
You look up annoyed, and when you see who it is you are even more angry.
“How about you tell me which hotel you’re staying at, and I’ll come spend the night”, Floch says with a wink.
“How about you step the fuck aside or else I’ll break your nose?”, You say with no hint of amusement. You were done with his bullshit.
His eyes widen, “Where did the sweet Y/n go that I was talking to 20 minutes ago?”
“She left the second you decided to put yourself in my personal space. Now please step aside”, You reply.
Floch smiles and whispers closer to your face, “Make me.”
You groan and push him aside. As you walk past him he grabs your arm hard and pulls you back to him. At this point your heart is hammering in your chest.
“Let me go now!”, You shout.
Floch squeezes your wrist so hard that your hand starts going numb.
You wince, “Ow! Floch stop messing around, you’re actually hurting me!”
You stomp on his foot as hard as you can with your heels. Just as he’s letting go of your wrist to grab his foot, something flashes in front of you.
Levi punches Floch so hard in the face that he falls onto the ground and isn’t moving.
“Holy shit did you kill him?”, You ask in shock.
Levi doesn’t answer. He runs to you and carefully picks up your wrist. You see the murder in his eyes as he sees your now bruising wrist.
You grab his arm so he looks at you, “I’m okay, Levi. It hurt, but I handled myself like I told you I would.”
He looks away from you and walks back to Floch. He checks to make sure he still has a pulse and stands up.
Your Dad and his bodyguard come running out, “Y/n! Levi! Are you alright!?”
You sigh, “Yeah Dad I’m okay. Just a little bruise. This asshole, Floch, wouldn’t take no for an answer. I stomped on his foot and then Levi took care of the rest.”
Your Dad nearly broke out into tears and ran to hug you.
“I’m so sorry, honey. This is all my fault.” He turns to Levi and scolds him, “Where were you!? Aren’t I paying you to protect my daughter? Why was she injured under your care? Why did she have to get this slimeball off of herself?”
“Dad! No it’s not his fa-”, You start to argue.
“I’m so sorry, sir. Y/n was going to the bathroom, so I took that time to also go to the bathroom. It is all my fault, I should’ve waited until we were back in the hotel room”, Levi says frantically.
You step in front of Levi and face your Dad.
“None of this is Levi’s fault”, You say sternly. You see your Dad roll his eyes, “No you look me in the eyes right now! This is not Levi’s fault. It’s nobody’s fault besides that asshole laying on the floor. Levi did everything right”, You say with fire in your eyes.
Your Dad is taken back by your little outburst. Levi is also standing there with wide eyes. He was shocked at how much you were defending him.
Your Dad stutters, “R-right. Okay. I’m sorry.” He looks at Levi, “None of this was your fault. Thank you for looking after Y/n.” He calls over more guards, “Please escort Floch off the premises. He is not allowed to return to this conference.
The ride back to your hotel room was silent. You knew you were both exhausted, but you just hope Levi was beating himself up over this.
When you get to your suite, Levi walks straight to his room.
“Hey wait”, You call after him.
He turns around and you can see the guilt in his eyes.
“Levi, I meant every word I said. This wasn’t your fault. It was just bad timing, but I would’ve been fine”, You say confidently.
Levi slowly walks up to you and gently holds up your wrist. He looks at the bruises, and his face looks like he’s in pain.
“It’s okay, Levi. I’ve experienced much worse pain”, You say with a small smile.
He looks at you and quietly says, “I’m so sorry, Y/n. I should’ve been there.”
Before you could say anything he gently kisses the inside of your wrist. When he notices you don’t pull away, he kisses all of your wrist. Covering the bruises in his kisses.
Your face is completely red and your mouth is slightly open in shock. He looks up at you, a light blush covering his cheeks.
For a second you think he might kiss you. He slowly put your wrist back down.
“Get some sleep, Y/n”, He says quietly and turns to go into his room.
His door closes and you nearly fall to the ground. Did that just happen!?
You walk into your bedroom and get into your pajamas. Your head hits the pillow and you feel your heart still fluttering from what just happened. You check the time and see that it’s only 8pm. You lift your arm and in the moonlight, the bruises didn’t look too bad. You didn’t care. All you could think about were the invisible remnants of Levi’s lips.
Why are you acting this way? You feel so happy, but why? Does Levi really have that much of an effect on you?
Your thoughts start to jumble as you slowly drift off into a deep sleep.
-
You wake up and stretch while laying down. You can tell you just slept like a rock. You check the time and see that it’s 9:30am. Holy shit you just slept for 13 hours. You slowly sit up and stare at the mirror. Your hair is a mess and you look terrible. You look at your calendar on your phone, thankfully the first event isn’t until noon.
You sneak to the bathroom with a change of clothes. You were relieved Levi didn’t have to see how disgusting you look. The warm water did wonders for your headache. You went to grab your shampoo, you notice the bruises on your wrist. You had almost forgotten about them after your encounter with Levi. They were a deep purple and covered your entire wrist. Honestly, your wrist was extremely sore but you weren’t going to say anything.
After your shower, you dry off and get dressed. When you walk into the living room you see Levi sitting there eating breakfast.
“Morning, sleepy head. I didn’t think you would ever wake up”, He says with a smirk.
You smile, “Yeah I guess I was really tired.”
He gestures to another plate, “I ordered you room service since you weren’t awake to do it yourself.”
“Oh thank you!”, You walk over to the table and sit down.
You both eat breakfast in silence. It was a little awkward, but you were trying to ignore it.
“So did you sleep well?”, You ask.
He responds, “Yeah. I didn’t realize how jet lagged I was until I laid down.”
You giggle at the thought of Levi passing out on his bed.
He looks shyly at your wrist from across the room, “Does your wrist hurt?”
“No”, You lie. Shit you definitely responded too quickly.
Levi gives you the stink eye and walks to the refrigerator. He comes over to you with an ice pack and gently lays it on your wrist.
You smile, “Thank you. It really will be okay. It’s only sore.” You change the subject, “Are you excited for all of today’s sessions?”
He responds sarcastically, “Oh yeah. So excited.”
You laugh and say, “Hopefully it won’t be too boring. At least there will be good food.”
Levi nods in agreement. Afterwards there is a knock at the door. Levi lets Historia in and she gestures you to your bedroom. You follow her and she helps you with your hair and makeup. You make sure to wear something with long sleeves.
-
12 hours later
You and Levi walk inside the suite and plop on the couch.
You sigh, “I’m not going to lie, that was rough.”
Levi responds, “My brain feels like mush.”
You laugh and rub your head. Thankfully tomorrow is one of your days off, you couldn’t wait to explore.
“Hey, would you want to go to the beach tomorrow?”, You ask Levi.
“Well it’s not like I really have a choice. I will be going wherever you go”, He says curtly.
You don’t love that answer. “Well I want you to make your own choice for tomorrow. Forget about work for a little bit. What do you want to do?”, You ask curiously.
He thinks for a moment and then smirks, “Yeah I guess the beach does sound nice. I’ve always wanted to see the ocean.”

Chapter 7 - Beach Day
The next morning you spend extra time in the shower, making sure that you’re ready to wear a bikini. The bikini you choose to wear is an olive green color. You look at yourself in the mirror. Honestly, you look amazing. You feel a surge of confidence rush through you, excited to show off your bikini.
You pack up the rest of the necessities for the day, and put on your cover up. You walk to the living room and see Levi with a pair of sunglasses on his head. This makes you giggle.
He looks at you, “What?”
You smile and reply, “Oh nothing. Are you ready to head out?”
He shakes his head yes and you head out to the car. The car ride was fairly quiet, you were comfortable in the silence with Levi. You pull up to the beach parking lot, you look at Levi and see his eyes widen at the sight of the ocean.
“Let’s go”, You smile and get out of the car.
Once you reach the sand, you take your shoes off. You see Levi look momentarily confused, and then does the same thing. You walk to a fairly secluded part of the beach and set your stuff down. The sun is boiling hot.
“Are you wanting to get in the water?”, You ask.
He thinks for a moment and then looks at you, “Do you think it’s safe?” He looks genuinely concerned.
You giggle, “As long as we don’t go too far out we’ll be fine.”
A small smile appears on his face, “Then yes. I would like to get in.”
You then reach into your bag and grab the sunscreen.
“Let’s put this on before getting in”, You say.
He nods his head in agreement. You hand him the sunscreen and he casually takes off his shirt. Your eyes widen and you quickly look away, trying to act calm. You never thought about the fact that you and Levi would be half naked while swimming.
Levi interrupts your thoughts, “Hey brat. Can you get my back?”
You respond quickly, “Oh yes!”
You stand up and put the sunscreen in your hands. Thank god Levi isn’t facing you so he won’t see the massive blush on your face. You start carefully applying the sunscreen on his bare back. Damn he is so muscular, his back is extremely attractive. You make sure you don’t miss a spot.
“Okay all done”, You say.
He turns to you, “Want me to get yours?”
“Oh yes!”, You respond as normally as you can. Your heart is pounding through your chest. You take off your shorts and then your shirt. You carefully put them back into your bag.
What you don’t see is the way Levi is checking you out. He’s completely mesmerized by your body.
You walk over to Levi and turn around. Your body breaks out into goosebumps at his touch. You aren’t sure if it’s because of the cold sunscreen, or his touch alone. He takes his time rubbing the sunscreen over your back.
When he’s done you smile and you both start to apply it to the rest of your bodies.
“Alright. Let’s head to the water!”, You say excitedly.
You both start walking, once you make it to the water you stand on the edge and let the water hit your feet.
Levi is staring out into the ocean, he looks completely relaxed. The water feels great on your feet, the hot sun beating down on you.
“Can we go in?”, Levi asks shyly.
“Of course!”, You reply.
You both start walking into the ocean. First your shins are covered, then your hips, and before you know it you’re nearly treading water.
You start laughing and you look at Levi. You’re shocked, you’ve never seen him smile so big. He looks so happy. You feel an urge to be mischievous, and splash Levi. He looks at you temporarily shocked.
“Oi, brat”, He then splashes you back.
Before you know it you both are giggling like children and splashing each other. You walk over to Levi and grab his leg. You start walking away and he loses his balance, and splashes into the water.
When he comes up he says, “Oh that’s it.”
He moves to you quickly and picks you up bridal style. He then tosses you into the water. When you come up for air you’re laughing so hard.
“Oh my god my sides hurt”, You say in between laughs.
Levi comes over and helps you fix your hair. He moves a piece out of your eyes.
He looks at you gently and says, “You’re beautiful.”
You freeze up and a blush covers your cheeks. You smile and look down, unsure of what to say.
Levi continues, “To be honest, I’ve always wanted to see the ocean. So thank you. I’m glad I could see it with you.”
You look at him, he looks so innocent. At this moment, you turn off your reasonable side. You allow your heart to take over, the side of you that has been wanting Levi overcomes you.
You walk over to him, he freezes momentarily but then relaxes. You both start leaning in and closing the gap.
“Levi”, You whisper.
“We shouldn’t,'' he replies.
Levi gently places his hands on your cheeks and pulls you in. Your lips meet and it feels like someone just released a thousand butterflies in your stomach. The first few kisses were sweet and calm. You push your hand through his hair and pull him into you with your other hand.
He deepens the kiss, your tongues are now in each other's mouths. He puts his hands on your ass and picks you up. You wrap your legs around his torso and your arms around his neck, the water is making you weightless.
He begins kissing your neck, you can’t help but release a moan. This causes him to pull your hair so your neck is completely exposed. He continues showering your neck with kisses.
“Levi”, You moan.
“Y/n, you’re so goddamn sexy”, He says darkly.
You start to feel something hard forming under you. You slowly slide your hand down his abs and feel his hard member. He growls at your touch and you begin rubbing it over his clothes.
“Fuck, Y/n”, He whispers.
You reach your hand in, and feel his cock. You pull it out of his pants and start slowly pumping it. Levi throws his head back, biting his lip. You can tell he’s holding in moans. You look around, thankfully no one is close by.
You begin pumping faster, you start leaving kisses all over his neck. You got to his collarbone and began sucking. You wanted to leave a mark on him.
“Oh shit, Y/n I’m almost there”, Levi whines.
You continue pumping him, but looking at his face distorting because of the pleasure you were causing him was making you feel warm.
You lean in and whisper in his ear, “Mmm you like that, Levi?” He grunts and immediately cums at your sultry voice.
“Oh fuck, baby”, Levi says out of breath.
Your face turns red at the sweet name he called you. You continue to slowly pump until he has ridden out his high. Making sure to leave gentle kisses on his forehead, his nose, his cheeks, and lastly his lips.
He opens his eyes and looks at you. He puts a hand on your cheek and leaves a sweet kiss on your lips.
He sighs, “We should probably get going. We have a lunch reservation.”
You smile and nod. As you’re drying off and putting your clothes back on you can’t help but wonder, does this change anything? Maybe that was just a one time thing, a moment of weakness. You glance at Levi and he seems completely back to normal. You try to hide your disappointment and get on with your day.
The rest of your afternoon was spent eating delicious food, and awkwardly making conversation with Levi. When you finally return to your hotel suite, you head to the bathroom and get in the shower. You wash away any remnants of the beach, trying to also wash away what happened in the ocean.
You gasp when you feel tears streaming down your face. What the hell is wrong with me? It’s not like you’re a virgin. You’ve had sexual encounters before with people you don’t have feelings for. Why does this feel different?
You sigh, “Fuck. I’m so stupid.”
You wipe away your tears, allowing a few more to fall. You think you might have feelings for Levi. You slap your forehead. You can’t believe you allowed yourself to be so honest. Shit this can’t be happening. But the way he touched you, and the way he was so gentle with you. It was almost like you could feel....love.
“God dammit, Y/n get it together”, You whisper and scold yourself.
You get out of the shower and dry yourself off. You slowly put your clothes on, dreading facing Levi. You know he’s probably waiting for you.
You slowly open the bathroom door and walk out. Your heart sinks when you see Levi sitting on the couch. His legs are crossed and he was clearly waiting for you.
“Y/n, come have a seat. We need to talk about what happened”, He says calmly.
You slowly walk over and sit on the couch across from him. Your hands are starting to slightly tremble.
“What happened earlier shouldn’t have happened. I apologize. I was so happy and I let that cloud my judgment”, Levi says curtly.
You nod your head and respond quietly, “Okay.”
Levi raises an eyebrow clearly confused, “Do you not agree that it was a mistake?”
You’re still not looking at him, “I don’t know.”
“Y/n. Look at me. What do you mean?”, He responds.
You look at him nervously, “Well is it really so bad that it happened? Would it be so terrible if you were attracted to me?”
Levi turns serious, “Y/n. I’m your bodyguard, not your boyfriend. What happened earlier was a mistake and it meant nothing. I was hoping that since you sleep around, you would be more understanding.”
Your eyes widen and tears are brimming, “Since I sleep around? So you thought since I’ve had sex with two different guys, that I’d be willing to be your little play thing? Fuck you. You’re not the Levi I met earlier today.”
You stand up and start walking to your bedroom, at this point you’re crying.
“Y/n wait. That’s not what I mean-”, Levi started.
You slam the door in his face and lay in your bed. You’re overwhelmed with hurt and heartbreak. You were dumb enough to believe that maybe he felt the same way. You didn’t want to be alone. You picked up your phone and called Sasha.
“Hey, Y/n! How’s Cali?”, Sasha asks excitedly.
You start to sniff and you can’t help but burst into tears.
“I’m sorry, Sasha. I don’t mean to damper your mood”, You say through choked back sobs.
“Oh my god what the fuck happened, Y/n? Are you okay? Let me look on my phone and I can check for plane tickets”, Sasha says very seriously.
You chuckle sadly, “No Sasha it’s okay. It’s just, well- I don’t know how to tell you this.”
You explain everything that happened with Levi. Even choosing to tell her your thoughts you had in the shower. After telling her, you felt exposed.
“Oh, Y/n. Thank you for telling me all that. Damn I’m so freaking sorry. I wish I could help, you must be feeling so alone right now”, Sasha responds hesitantly. You can tell she’s holding back tears.
You reply a little more composed, “Thank you for listening. It honestly makes me feel a little better. Now that you know, I don’t feel as alone.”
Sasha says with a fire in her voice, “I swear to god, Y/n. I will kill him. I will beat his stupid ass and make him regret everything he did.”
You giggle, “I miss you. Thank you for being such a good friend.” You look at the time, “I have to get going but I’ll keep you updated.”
“Okay but please tell me if you need anything”, Sasha says.
“Always”, You say and end the call.
That phone call really did help make you feel better. You sigh and decide to take advantage of the last few hours of your free day, alone.

I’m Your Bodyguard, Not Your Boyfriend (Masterlist)

Summary: You honestly can’t wait for this weekend. Letting loose and having fun with your friends sounded like exactly what you need. You hop out of the car after thanking your driver and walk into the apartment building. Even though you’re happy to be on your own, you can’t help but feel a little nostalgic. The elevator dings and you walk into the penthouse suite. “Mom? Dad?”, You yell out. “In the office!”, You hear your dad respond. You take off your shoes and set your purse down. You walk into your dad’s office and your mom runs up and hugs you. “Hi sweetie! How was your first day?” She asks. “It was fine, Mom”, You respond uncomfortably because of the unknown person standing next to your dad. “Who’s this?”, You ask. Your dad beams and gestures to the man, “This is Levi Ackerman, your new bodyguard.”

Chapter 8 - A New Friend
The car ride to the convention was pin drop silent. Yesterday after your phone call with Sasha, you had your driver take you to In-And-Out. Thankfully, you were able to quickly sneak out without Levi noticing. As you were driving away, you saw Levi running towards the car. It was too late though, he wasn’t able to catch you.
As soon as you got back, Levi was waiting on the curb for you. He gave you a tense lecture for about an hour. Honestly you were barely listening. Afterwards you spent the rest of the evening in bed watching tv.
Your phone buzzed, bringing you out of your daydream. Sasha was just checking in to see how you were doing. You lied and said that you were 100% better. You told her that you had been drinking so that’s why you were so emotional. Obviously that was a lie, but she didn’t push you on the subject.
You spent extra time on your appearance this morning hoping that it would make you feel better. It helped a little with your confidence, but you couldn’t deny the hurt you felt deep inside.
The car pulled up to the convention center, you got out of the car and went into the building. Not bothering to wait on Levi, you knew he would be tailing you anyway.
The first few sessions were boring. You really just weren’t in the right headspace for this. Thankfully, Levi watched over you from a distance today.
It was finally time for lunch and you were starving. You grab the salmon platter and head to a table alone. You sit down and start eating. Your anxiety starts creeping in, you can feel your body start to get overheated. Even as an adult, you can’t help but feel like a loser because you’re eating alone. All of your insecurities start creeping in and it feels like everyone is staring at you. Just as you’re starting to consider leaving, someone pulls the chair beside you and sits down.
You look over, relief immediately washing over you. You don’t care who it is, you're just glad to not be alone anymore. The man sitting next to you is very tall with blonde hair and noticeably thick eyebrows.
He looks at you and offers you his hand, “My name is Erwin Smith. I’ve been meaning to introduce myself. I’m one of the senior managers at your dad’s company.”
His smile puts you at ease and you shake his head, “It’s good to meet you. I’m Y/n.”
Erwin laughs, “Yes I know.”
You blush and internally cringe. Of course he knows your name, dumbass.
“I think I could be helpful to you as you begin transitioning into our company. I would like to be friends if you’re okay with that”, Erwin says sweetly.
You smile, “Oh yes of course! Thank you so much. Everyone already has their groups of friends, so it’s hard to meet anyone. Especially when you’re the CEO’s daughter. I think everyone is afraid of me.”
Erwin chuckles and puts a reassuring hand on your shoulder, “Don’t worry. I’ll help you meet everyone worth knowing.”
You spend the next hour getting to know Erwin. You don’t take his kindness lightly, you’re extremely grateful to him. Little do you know, a grumpy asshole has been staring daggers into the back of your head this whole time.
Erwin leans over, “Hey, are you and Levi a couple?”
You stare at him shocked, “Uh no. Why would you think that?”
He laughs, “No reason. I was just trying to figure out why he’s been glaring at us this whole time.”
You immediately turn your head around and your eyes meet Levi’s. He’s clearly pissed.
You turn back around and roll your eyes, “He’s technically my bodyguard, but he’s more like a pain in my ass.”
Erwin lets out a loud laugh, “I like your sass. Most people are intimidated by him.”
“Well I’m not most people”, You say teasingly. “Wait, how do you know Levi anyway?”, You ask.
“Oh Levi and I go way back. I’m actually the one who recommended him to your father for this bodyguard position”, Erwin says.
Your eyes open wide, “Wow really?
Erwin smiles and asks, “Is it hard to imagine Levi and I as friends?”
You giggle, “If I’m being honest, yes. You’re so kind and open, and Levi is so...wounded.”
Erwin raises his eyebrows, “I don’t know if I’ve ever heard someone use that word to describe Levi. Scary and stubborn are normally what people describe him as.” Erwin ponders the word for another moment, “It seems that you have seen right through Levi. Right to his very core. I’m very defensive of Levi, you see. Most people don’t give him a chance because of his cold demeanor. But if you even spend one second truly looking at him, you’ll see a bird who’s wing is broken. He’s wounded.”
You don’t acknowledge the tears that are threatening to fall onto your face.
You whisper, “I just wish he would let me in.” You wipe a tear and chuckle, “I must look so stupid. He’s my bodyguard after all. He could have any woman in this building if he wanted. Why did I think I even stood a chance.”
Erwin looks at you with concern, “Did something happen?”
You hesitate but choose to trust Erwin, especially knowing that he would never intentionally hurt Levi.
“Well, we kissed and did...other things”, Your face starts to redden but you continue, “Afterwards he was very cold to me, and when we got back to the hotel room he said that it was all a mistake. That it shouldn’t have happened.”
Erwin pinches the bridge of his nose in frustration, “That idiot.” He is quiet for a moment before starting again, “What if we test him to see if his real feelings for you come out?”
You look at him curiously, “What do you mean?”
Erwin smiles mischievously, “What if we act like we are starting to become romantically interested in each other? I know Levi, and if he truly has feelings for you he will become jealous immediately.”
You ask, “You don’t think Levi will be upset when we tell him it was a joke?”
“I think he’ll be more grateful that we helped him realize his true intentions”, Erwin says confidently.
You agreed to the plan, and you both casually talked while finishing your food. Your Dad soon approaches you, and Levi decides to also come over when he sees your father.
“Y/n! I’m glad to see you’ve finally met Erwin! Handsome fella, isn’t he?”, Your Dad asks with a smile.
You blush and remember your plan, “Yes he is, Dad.”
You don’t notice Levi’s eye twitch at your answer.
“Well, Y/n, I wanted you to come with me so we could discuss your plans for the rest of the day”, Your Dad looks to Levi, “There’s no need for you to come along since I will have my guards with me. Take the next few hours off to relax!”
Levi argues, “Sir I disagree. I don’t think I should be separated from Y/n.”
Your Dad responds, “Oh nonsense! She’ll be just fine.” He motions for you to follow him, “Come along.”
You walk after your father, but stop to look at Levi. He looks pissed and doesn’t break eye contact with you. You manage to pull your eyes away from him and catch up to you Dad.
Erwin’s POV
Levi is seething as he sits beside Erwin.
“Hey Levi, long time no s-”, Erwin starts.
“What the fuck are you doing with, Y/n?”, Levi asks bluntly.
Erwin plays dumb, “What are you talking about? I was getting to know her, we are going to be co-workers.”
Levi rolls his eyes, “Cut the bullshit, Erwin. I saw her blushing and I saw you laughing. You two looked like you were on a goddamned date.”
Erwin asks, “And if we were? Why does that matter to you?”
Levi looks away, “You can’t date my client.”
Erwin pushes, “Maybe, but I can fuck her.” Erwin has no intentions of that, but he wants to see how Levi will respond.
Levi snaps his head and stares daggers into your eyes. If looks could kill, Erwin would absolutely be dead right now.
“What the hell did you just say?”, Levi continues, “Look, you’re my friend but you are really pissing me off.”
Erwin doesn’t back down, “What’s wrong with me wanting to fuck Y/n?”
Levi growls, “I swear to god if you don’t stop saying that I’m going to put my fist through your skull.”
Erwin chuckles dryly, “I don’t see why this is an issue. You used to be my wingman, why can’t you be now?” Erwin pauses and then smiles, “Unless...you want to fuck Y/n as well.”
Levi whisper yells, “Oh my god I don’t just want to fuck Y/n! Can you stop saying the words fuck and Y/n!?”
Erwin teases, “Hmm so there’s more you want? Do you have feelings for this woman, Levi?”
Levi pushes out of his seat and as he walks away he says, “Fuck you.”
Erwin lets out a hearty laugh. His plan is already working.
Y/N’s POV
“Dad, do I have to?”, You ask.
“Absolutely. I won’t budge on this, it’s very important that you have a date to the company ball”, Your dad responds bluntly.
You sigh, “Well that would’ve been nice to know considering it’s tomorrow.”
Your dad chuckles, “I happen to have a few eligible bachelors that I could set you up with.”
You shake your head, “No that’s okay. I have someone in mind.”
You sit while your dad is talking to someone else, and pull out your phone. Luckily you had exchanged numbers. You pull up his name and start a text.
“Hey, Erwin. This is super last minute, but my dad insists that I have a date to the ball tomorrow. Would you like to go together?”
Erwin responds quickly, “Of course. I’ll pick you up at 8.”
You sigh and look out the window of the building. At least you’ll have someone to dance with, even if all you can think of is those gray eyes.

Chapter 9 - The Company Ball
It’s 5pm and Erwin will be here in 3 hours. Your dad went a little overboard and hired a hair and makeup team to help you for tonight’s ball. You jump in the shower and make sure that every inch of your body is without hair. Anything could happen tonight so you want to be fully prepared.
Honestly you wouldn’t be opposed to sleeping with Erwin. Just casually of course, your heart is with someone else. But you have needs, and if Levi isn’t willing to meet those needs you will find someone who can. Even if it’s just for an evening.
You hop out of the shower and Historia is waiting in your bedroom with a robe. You put on the robe and she starts patting your hair dry.
“You don’t have to do that”, You tell Historia.
She smiles, “It’s okay, I want to help. Tonight is special.”
“Are you attending as well?”, You ask.
Historia nods her head yes.
“Well then you can go get ready and take tomorrow off as well. I want you to enjoy yourself. Besides, I know Ymir will be there. I’m hoping at least one of us will get lucky tonight”, You giggle.
Historia blushes but is hesitant to leave, “Are you sure, Y/n? I can stay and help, I really don’t mind.”
You respond, “I’m positive. Please, go and enjoy yourself. But I better hear all about it the next time I see you.”
Historia laughs and waves as she walks out of your bedroom.
You sigh and look in the mirror. You make a promise to yourself that tonight you’re going to have fun. No more being sad about Levi, at least for tonight. You have a smoking hot date. Even though your deal was originally to make Levi jealous, you both can still enjoy yourselves.
There’s a knock on your bedroom door and the stylists walk in and start getting you ready. It took 2 hours for your transformation to be complete. The whole time you were listening to your favorite pump up music and just having fun with the stylists.
Tonight you wanted to be bold. Even though your heart was hurting, you wanted to push that aside and be confident. Let me tell you, your stylists did not disappoint.
Your long h/c hair was curled and put into a gorgeous updo. Some of your hair was out of the updo to frame your face. You had honestly never seen your hair look so beautiful.
Your makeup was flawless. Nothing too much on your eyes, but your lips were a beautiful red. Perfectly matching your dress.
Your dress. Goddamn you weren’t going to lie, your dress was gorgeous. The top had a deep v-neck, tastefully showing your cleavage. The waist was fitted to your waist, and the bottom of the dress flowed out and down your legs. There was a cut that went all the way to your upper thigh. The red color of your dress demands for all eyes to be on you.
Confidence was never your strong suit, but as you look at yourself in the mirror you can’t help but be amazed. Tonight is about you, and doing whatever the hell you want.
You take a deep breath and smile at the stylists, “Thank you all so much. I truly feel the best I ever have.”
They smile and compliment you as they’re leaving. Your phone buzzes and Erwin says that he’s outside. He also let you know that Levi was already down here and was becoming very impatient.
You roll your eyes and grab your handbag. You check yourself in the mirror one more time before heading to the elevator. When you get to the lobby you can see Erwin and Levi outside of the hotel. They are talking and not paying attention to the doors of the hotel.
Your stomach drops when you see Levi in his suit. Fuck he’s so hot. You look at Erwin, honestly he is also looking hot in his suit. You start to feel nervous as you’re walking to the doors.
“Confidence, Y/n. Have confidence”, You are internally telling yourself.
You take a breath and open the door. You start walking towards the car, and that’s when Erwin sees you.
“Damn”, Erwin says dumbfoundedly. He can’t stop staring at you with wide eyes.
Levi looks momentarily confused and then looks in your direction.
You both lock eyes and you immediately get goose bumps. The electricity that runs through you is unlike anything you’ve ever felt. Levi’s eyes are wide, and you see a small blush forming at his cheeks. At that, you start blushing as well.
You walk up to both of them, “You both look so handsome this evening.”
Erwin replies, “I assure you, neither of us compare how gorgeous you are.”
You giggle, “Thank you.”
Erwin asks, “Am I right, Levi?”
You look at Levi nervously. He meets your eyes.
Levi responds shyly, “You look beautiful.”
Your eyes widen and your cheeks redden once again.
“Well we better get going. We don’t want to be late”, Erwin says.
You get into the back of the car, internally cursing yourself for telling your dad you didn’t need a limo.
Your dad turns around from the passenger seat, “My oh my. Y/n you look so beautiful! Doesn’t my daughter look beautiful?” He asks everyone in the car.
Your driver, Erwin, and Levi all agree. Your dad turns back around and is busy talking to the driver.
You are squished in between Erwin and Levi. Your heart is racing. You were trying your best to keep your legs in the middle as much as you could.
Erwin has now joined the conversation with your dad and the driver. You sit there quietly trying to get your heart to calm down.
Your eyes widen as you feel a leg slowly press up against yours. You look at the leg, already knowing who it belongs to.
Maybe it was a mistake, maybe he’s just more comfortable. It’s dark outside so it would be hard for anyone else to notice. You let yourself cherish the feeling, you were unsure of how long it would last.
You then felt a hand slowly start to touch your exposed thigh. It took everything in you not to react. Your heart is pounding. You look down and see Levi’s hand resting on your thigh, he is tracing circles on you with his thumb. He was driving you crazy.
Well you wanted to be bold tonight, so here goes nothing. In the dark, you slowly move your hand down to his. For a few moments, your hand was just resting on top of his. But then he shocked you. He quietly turned his hand so that your palms were touching. Levi then carefully intertwined his fingers with yours.
You were in complete bliss just at this gesture. You were embarrassed to admit that you were starting to get wet at all of these secret touches in the dark.
You were holding hands with your bodyguard, while sitting next to your date, and your father in the front seat.
As you pull up to the building, Levi squeezes your hand and then slowly pulls away. Your heart sinks in the absence of his hand.
You exit the car and Erwin meets you with his arm out. You wrap your arm in his, and enter the building.
The place is decorated beautifully. There is an abundance of food and drinks, you can’t wait to dig in. You decide to brush off the events in the car. Tonight was going to be an amazing night.
You grab a glass of champagne and start drinking. At your table you sit next to Erwin, Levi decides to watch from a distance giving you your space. You and Erwin are enjoying your food, and the alcohol is making your cheeks lightly rosy.
“Would you like to dance?”, Erwin asks.
“Of course! Dancing is my favorite.”, You respond with a smile.
Erwin could feel a tug at his heart when you smile, but he wasn’t going to tell you that.
You both walk to the dance floor and he places a hand on your hip, and your hand is on his shoulder. He gently holds your other hand and you begin to dance. You can’t help but notice how much bigger his hand is than yours.
The dance floor is pretty crowded, and the alcohol is really starting to kick in. You are definitely tipsy at this point.
The slow music comes to an abrupt halt, you hear the crowd start to complain.
“Alright folks! I know this is technically a ball, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have a little bit of fun right?”, The DJ says with the microphone.
All of the sudden one of your favorite songs comes blasting over the speakers. It makes you feel like you’re back home at a party with your friends. You look at Erwin and see that he wants to leave the dance floor.
You grab his hand, “Awe come on. You aren’t going to leave me so soon, are you?” You tease him.
He laughs, “Oh fine. But I’m no good at dancing to fast music.”
You laugh and look around you. Everyone is jumping and grinding, it seems that they’re all having a good time. You notice that you and Erwin are situated in the middle of the crowd, so you hope your dad doesn’t see what you decide to do next.
You grab Erwin’s hand and turn around. You start dancing and shaking your ass on his front, giggling the whole time. Erwin slides his hands on your hips, holding you close and begins to grind on you. You can’t help but feel like someone is watching you. You look up to the second floor, it doesn’t take long for you to lock eyes with Levi. He is throwing back what looks to be glasses of whiskey. He looks pissed.
You look away and can’t help but smirk. You start grinding more on Erwin and bring your hands up behind you to hold his neck. He starts leaving kisses on your neck. While this is happening you look back at Levi. He looks like he’s about to jump over the railing. You do something evil, and you smile at him.
Honestly you could care less that this was technically a work event. This felt way too good, and you were tipsy as fuck.
Erwin surprises you and he spins you around to face him. He grabs your face and pulls you in, your lips meet and it doesn’t take long for you two to start making out. You taste wine from his tongue, and you know he must be tipsy as well.
Thank god it was dark in here, you really didn’t want your dad to see this. Even though he would probably only be ecstatic.
The kisses become rougher and Erwin squeezes your ass with one hand. What is it with you and guys on the dance floor? Something about it just turns you on.
You pull away. You both are catching your breath.
“Let’s not go too far, at least not out in the open like this”, You say and then wink at Erwin.
“Damn, Y/n. You’re so sexy”, Erwin responds.
You giggle, “You’re not so bad yourself.” You realize how full your bladder is from the alcohol, “Hey I need to go to the restroom.”
Erwin nods, “Okay. I promised a few people I would say hi tonight, so I’ll be doing that while I wait.”
You smile and turn around, pushing your way through the crowd. You don’t realize how loud it was until you walk into the dimly lit hallway. Your ears slightly ringing, the hallway is empty and you walk to the bathroom.
You finally get to relieve yourself, and you feel so much better. You’re washing your hands when you hear someone enter the bathroom. You’re shocked when you look in the mirror and see who it is.
You turn around, “You can’t be in here! It’s the women’s restroom!”
Levi doesn’t say a word. He is staring a hole through you. He shuts the bathroom door and locks it, he walks quickly over to you.
“What are you doin-”, You shout.
Levi cuts you off by smashing his lips against yours. His hands are around your waist, and for a moment you just stand there. You finally come to and you start to kiss him back.
He is very impatient and his tongue pushes itself into your mouth, this makes you moan. He moves from your lips to your neck, where Erwin’s lips were just a few moments ago. Levi starts sucking and nibbling all over your neck, as if he was trying to erase any trace of Erwin.
You start trying to undo his belt buckle but he snatches your wrist.
“I don’t want to give you the wrong idea. If we go any further, it’s just physical. It doesn’t mean anything. Are you okay with that?”, Levi asks.
You pout, “But why?”
Levi sighs and lets go of your wrist, “I’m your bodyguard, not your boyfriend.”
You roll your eyes, “Fine. No feelings, just physical.”
Levi looks at you like he doesn’t believe you, but you pull him in and start kissing him harder. You reach your hand down to his belt and undo it. You reach your hand in and can already feel how hard he is. You pull it out from his pants and start rubbing it.
Levi moans, “Ahhh. Oh fuck.”
You continue to pump his cock, and you grab his chin. You make eye contact with him and your heart flutters as you see the small blush on his face. His eyes roll back as you start to pump him faster. You kiss him roughly and you can tell that he is close. You decide to be bold.
You pull out your boobs from the v-neck of your dress. His eyes become wide and he immediately has his hands around them. He leans in and is kissing each one.
“Ah shit. I’m going to cum”, Levi whimpers.
You pull his chin back up so you could make eye contact. You smile lustfully, “It’s okay, Levi. Cum for me.”
He immediately moans at your words and cums. You moved his cock to the side at the last minute, so his cum was all over the floor and your hand.
“Fuck. I’m sorry it got on your hands”, Levi says breathlessly.
You bring your hand up to your face and start licking your hand clean while moaning. Levi looks fucked out and like he’s about to pounce you.
Once your hand is clean you say, “Mmm all better.”
You turn around and start washing off your hand, you see in the mirror that Levi is pulling up his pants. While he’s cleaning up the floor, you’re fixing your hair and makeup.
Levi is done washing his hands and you start walking to the door.
“What are you doing?”, Levi asks.
You turn around confused, “We should probably get back out there.”
Levi walks to you, and moves your dress to where your entire leg is out of the slit. The slightest bit of your thong is showing. Your face immediately turns red at this.
“Nah we aren’t going back out there just yet”, Levi smirks and leans into your ear, “I want to hear you scream”.

Chapter 10 - Expect the Unexpected
Levi moves his hand and gently starts rubbing circles on your clothed clit. You can’t help but throw your head back and moan.
“Wait”, You say breathlessly, “Should we really be doing this in a bathroom?”
Levi puts both hands on your ass and picks you up. He walks you over to the counter and sits you down.
He looks at you, “Is it okay if I continue?”
You blush and whisper, “Yes.”
His hands wrap around your thong and pull it down your legs. He pushes the dress back so you are sitting bare ass on the counter. Hoping to god it had been cleaned recently.
He starts rubbing your clit with his thumb, and slowly starts entering you with one finger. It’s almost embarrassing how wet you are. His finger easily slides in and you release a moan. You hadn’t been finger fucked in a while, so you were ultra sensitive.
Levi slips another finger in and you grab his shoulder. He starts pumping at a steady pace and you’re trying your best not to scream in pleasure. You had forgotten how long it had been since someone took care of you like this. But the fact that it was Levi had your heart racing like never before. He has never seen you like this, or touched you like this.
You look into his eyes and for a moment you are just staring at each other while he thrusts into you. He leans down and bites your inner thigh. You yelp in pleasure and he starts leaving kisses all over your thighs. This entire time he nevers forgets about your clit, so you’re getting close.
“Ahh. Levi. I- I’m close. Please don’t stop”, You whine.
He does something unexpected. He puts his hand on your cheek and pulls you in. Levi starts kissing you, the passion exuding from him feels like electricity. In between kisses he enters a third finger and starts pumping faster. You’re moaning into his mouth, your arms are wrapped around his neck holding him tightly.
“Mmmm. Levi I’m about to cum”, You whisper breathlessly.
He looks you in the eyes, “Cum for me, babe.”
Your eyes widen at the name and you feel yourself release. You moan and a shiver runs through your spine. Levi holds you until you are through it.
“How was that?”, Levi asks genuinely.
“It was perfect, Levi”, You whisper. You know he can probably see how much you adore him just from your eyes alone.
He steps back and grabs a paper towel for you to clean yourself up. He starts washing his hands, and you pull your underwear back on. Once Levi’s hands are clean and his hair is fixed he turns to you.
“I’ll head out first”, He says and quickly walks towards the door.
Before you know it, he’s gone. You can’t help but feel tears start to prickle at the sides of your eyes. You look in the mirror and fix a few things that were out of place.
You chuckle dryly, “Damn I must be an idiot.”
Levi said at the very beginning of this that it was just physical, but why does my heart feel like it was shattered. You need to get a grip. You’ve had purely sexual relationships before, this is nothing different.
You take a deep breath and head back to the dance floor. You look around for a few minutes, and you finally spot Erwin. He is getting another drink when you walk up to him.
He looks at you concerned, “Where the hell have you been? I was starting to get worried.”
You smile sheepishly, “I’m really sorry. I had a hard time using the restroom with this dress. Then I was stopped a few times and got caught up in conversation.”
He smiles, “That’s okay. I was starting to wonder if you were taking a massive shit.”
You gasp and smack his arm, “Erwin! I was not!”
You both start laughing. You were grateful to Erwin for making you feel better.
The rest of the night wasn’t nearly as exciting. Mostly chatting with other people and drinking. You look to the dance floor and see Ymir and Historia slow dancing, basically eating each other’s faces. You smile at this, they really do make a beautiful couple.
Erwin gently elbows your arm, “Are you ready to get out of here?”
You reply, “Definitely.”
The car ride home was very uncomfortable. You were yet again squished in between the guy you made out with, and the guy you nearly had sex with.
Your dad broke the silence, “So I heard from a little birdy that you and Erwin were having fun on the dance floor?” Your dad turns around and gives you a wink.
You groan, “Dad please not now.”
“Well why not! You two seem to be very comfortable with each other”, You dad chuckles.
Erwin responds, “I have grown quite fond of your daughter.”
Your eyes widen and you look at Erwin, he gives you a smile.
You are unaware that Levi is seething with annoyance beside you.
“So are you going to go up to her suite tonight? I heard it’s got quite the view”, Your dad says mischievously.
You are mortified, “Dad! What the hell!”
Your dad pouts, “I’m getting old, Y/n! I want grandchildren!”
You put your head in your hands, “Oh my god this is not happening. Dad, I'm begging you, please stop!”
Erwin is laughing at your interaction with your father. Your dad huffs and turns around, he and the driver begin a conversation.
Erwin leans over to you, “I wouldn’t mind extending this date. If that’s something you would be interested in.”
You smile, “Yeah definitely. We could watch a movie and order some room service?”
“You’re speaking my language”, Erwins responds.
The car pulls up to the hotel. You say your goodbyes to your father and the 3 of you exit the car.
“Woah what the fuck? Why are you getting out?”, Levi asks Erwin.
Erwin puts his hands up defensively, “Calm down, Levi. I’m just coming up to watch a movie.”
Levi rolls his eyes and you all walk into the hotel. Once you’re in your suite you excuse yourself to change into comfortable clothes. You change into a pair of nighttime shorts and a sweatshirt. You also take off all of your makeup, and take all of the pins out of your hair. You end up putting it into a sloppy bun.
Feeling much more comfortable, you go into the living room and see that Erwin is in his undershirt and boxers.
“I hope you don’t mind, that suit was getting uncomfortable”, Erwin says.
“Oh of course! I couldn’t stand another second with all that makeup on”, You laugh.
You both make yourself comfortable on the sectional. Erwin picks a random movie and you look through the room service menu. After putting in your order, you pull a blanket down and snuggle into the middle of the sectional. Erwin is sitting up straight in front of you.
“You can come back here with me if you want. The middle is always the most comfortable”, You say to him.
He smiles and starts to get up, but Levi walks into the living room. The only clothing on him are his boxers. Your eyes widen and you start to blush at the sight of his naked chest. Thankfully the lights were dim, so it went unnoticed.
“Do you normally walk around half naked when it’s just the two of you?”, Erwin sounds annoyed.
Levi smirks, “That is none of your fucking business.”
“Knock it off, Levi”, You say.
He rolls his eyes and sits right beside you on the couch. Your head is right beside his lap now.
“So what are we watching?”, Levi asks in a bored tone.
“I just picked a movie I had never seen”, Erwin says as he sits back down, clearly annoyed.
Hotel staff comes in and places the food on the table in front of the couch. After you all fill up, you actually start to pay attention to the movie.
Unbeknownst to you, Erwin picked a scary movie. He was hoping that you would want to cuddle with him, as cliche as that is. Erwin actually enjoys watching horror movies, so he is very engrossed in the movie.
You on the other hand are trying your hardest not to scream. You absolutely hate scary movies, but you don’t want to say anything so you watch it anyway.
The first jumpscare you nearly jump off the couch. Instead, your head ends up on Levi’s lap. You go to pull away, but his hand gently starts playing with your hair. You start to relax into his lap.
Levi is playing with your hair, and you’re gently rubbing his leg with your fingers. After a few minutes you can feel Levi getting hard underneath you. Your heart starts to race and you sneak a hand under your head. You start rubbing his dick, you so badly want to pull it out and suck on it. You don’t realize that Erwin sees you until he pauses the movie. He turns on the lamp beside him.
Erwin looks at you seductively, “Would you be interested in a threesome?”

Chapter 11 - One Hell of a Night
You gasp and choke on your spit at Erwin’s suggestion. Your face is completely red, and you are coughing as you try to get your breath back.
Levi pats your back, “Way to go, Erwin. You nearly killed her.”
Erwin chuckles, “I’m sorry, Y/n. Are you okay?”
You take a deep breath and attempt to smile, “Oh I’m fine. You just surprised me.”
Erwin asks, “So are you not interested? It’s okay if you’re not.”
You blurt, “No! I’m not saying that I’m not interested, I just wasn’t expecting you to say that.”
Erwin stands up and walks over to where you and Levi are sitting. He sits beside you, you are now in between the two men.
Erwin smirks, “So does that mean you are interested?”
You look down and whisper, “M-Maybe.”
Erwin places a hand on your chin, bringing your face back up to make eye contact.
“We don’t have to have sex. We can just mess around if that makes you uncomfortable”, Erwin says softly.
You gulp. Every part of you is screaming yes. This was honestly your dream scenario, but you didn’t want to seem too excited.”
“Y-Yeah. I’m okay with that”, You respond meekly.
Erwin smiles and looks at the person behind you, “Levi.”
Levi grabs the ends of your sweatshirt and pulls it up over your head. Erwin’s big hands wrap around the band of your shorts. You lift your butt so he can take them off. Now you’re in your bra and underwear.
Erwin starts undressing and you turn to Levi. You can see the faint blush on his cheeks as he looks at you. Since he was already in only his underwear, you can see the massive bulge forming. Erwin puts a hand on your thigh and you look back at him.
He asks, “Are you sure you’re okay with this?”
You nod, “Yeah sorry. I’m just really nervous.”
Erwin smiles fondly, “You don’t need to be nervous. Levi and I will take good care of you.”
This makes your stomach do flips, your heart pounding.
Erwin leans in and your lips meet. He is gently kissing you, while Levi leans in and starts kissing your neck. You are soaking wet at the thought of being in between these two beautiful men.
Levi kisses a sensitive spot on your neck and you let out a moan. Erwin becomes rougher and you two are making out. Levi unclasps your bra from behind and leaves kisses down your naked back.
“My turn”, Levi growls.
He puts an arm around your waist and pulls you both to the arm of the couch. This way he could lean back comfortably. He pulls you so your back is laying on his front, he turns your head to the side so you’re facing each other. He immediately puts his tongue in your mouth, and his kisses leave you dizzy with pleasure.
Both you and Levi’s legs are propped up, Erwin carefully takes off all three of your underwear. Erwin lays on his belly in between your open legs, and starts rubbing your throbbing clit.
“Ahh-ah. Mmm that feels so good”, You moan.
Levi brings his hands around your body and grabs both of your boobs. He begins squeezing them and rubbing the nipples. All while Erwin is still rubbing your clit.
You can’t help the moans that fall out of your mouth. You were in complete bliss.
“Fuck you’re beautiful”, Erwin moans.
He then begins to lick your clit. A gasp escapes your mouth, and Levi starts kissing you again. Erwin begins penetrating you with his tongue, and Levi is still rubbing your tits. You feel like you’re on the brink.
“I’m almost-almost”, You whine.
You don’t get to finish speaking because you were too busy finishing all over Erwin’s mouth. Once he was done cleaning you up with his tongue, he sat up and wiped off his face with his hand. You couldn’t help but look at his cock, it was enormous and in need of release.
You lean forward and move out of Levi’s embrace. You motion for Erwin to lay back on the couch, and you crawl in between his legs. You wrap your hand around Erwin’s dick and start slowly pumping.
“Oh fuck”, Erwin immediately moans.
You take a few deep breaths and start licking his cock. You were really going to need your gag reflex to disappear to take all of Erwin. You put his cock in your mouth and slowly start moving down. Relaxing your jaw to the best of your abilities.
You were about halfway down when you became a little worried that it wouldn’t all fit. You feel hands on your ass and they pull you up so your ass is sticking out. You don’t have to turn around to know who that is.
You refocus on Erwin and finally reach his base. You start slowly moving your head up and down, holding back the tears that are forming.
“Mmmm, Y/n. Shit”, Erwin moans.
As you find a steady pace, you feel fingers enter you. You moan on Erwin’s cock, the vibrations making Erwin moan. Levi starts ramming you with his fingers. You probably look pathetic. It all feels so fucking good. Levi’s fingers and Erwin’s dick, you never want it to end.
“Ahh. Y/n, I’m going to cum”, Erwin says breathlessly.
You prepare yourself, you want to swallow it since he swallowed you.
Soon you feel a warm sensation hit the back of your throat. You try your best not to think about it and swallow it as best as you can.
The three of you are laying on each other panting, but then you realize that Levi hasn’t had a chance to cum yet. You sit up and Levi does as well. You see that his cock is still rock hard and you turn to him.
“Uhh I’m sorry. I hate to miss out on anymore fun, but I’m fucking exhausted. I won’t be much help in getting Levi off, so do you two mind if I head out?”, Erwin says and you can see how sleepy he really is.
“Oh of course not. Thank you for, uh, everything”, You awkwardly laugh.
Erwin smiles and kisses you on the cheek, “I should be thanking you.”
He gets up and quickly puts his clothes back on. Before you know it he’s walking towards the door.
He turns around and says, “Have fun you two.” Erwin winks and heads out the door.
Honestly you were a little surprised by Erwin’s sudden request to leave, but maybe he was trying to give you and Levi alone time. Erwin is truly the best.
Levi coughs to break the silence, “Um we don’t have to keep doing this if you’re tired.”
You’re quick to reply, “No! It’s okay. Let’s go to my bedroom though, this couch isn’t very comfortable.”
You stand and walk to your bedroom. Levi follows after you, he stares mesmerized at your ass the whole time. You both enter your bedroom and Levi sits in the middle of the bed. You crawl over to him and gently grab his cock. It wasn’t as hard as it was a few minutes ago, but it won’t take long for it to be ready.
You lay on your stomach in between Levi’s legs. You slowly pump Levi’s dick and you shower it in kisses. His moans are driving you crazy, you want to hear more.
You put Levi’s cock in your mouth and start moving your head up and down. Levi grabs your hair and throws his head back.
“Fuck”, He moans out. “Wait”, He whines.
You lift your head up and take his dick out of your mouth.
“What’s wrong?” You ask, clearly confused.
Levi looks shy, “I wanted to try something else.”
You’re curious, “Oh, what did you want to try?”
Levi looks at you, “Will you sit on me?”
Your eyes widen, “Uh-um yeah! Let me get a condom.”
You’re trying your damnedest to play it cool but you’re freaking the fuck out. This will be your first time actually having sex with Levi. You had been wanting to do this for weeks now. You grab the condom and crawl back over to Levi. You straddle him and he rolls the condom down his hard cock.
You line up his cock with your entry, “Are you ready?”
He responds with a grunt.
You slowly sit down on him and you grind on him for a few seconds while you’re adjusting to him being inside you.
“Fuck I need you”, Levi moans.
He flips you on your back and is now on top of you. He begins thrusting into you and you are scratching the shit out of his back.
“Ahhh-ah, Levi. Shit that feels so good”, You whine.
He brings his lips to you and you are making out hard as he is thrusting into you. The sounds of his moans are only bringing you more pleasure.
He puts one of your legs up on his shoulder and continues ramming into you. Holy fuck it hurts so good. He also starts rubbing your clit. Between him fingering you earlier and now this, you can feel your orgasm coming like a freight train.
“Fuck Levi! Harder!”, You shout.
Levi growls and starts ramming you so hard you feel like you can see stars. You scream out and cum all over his dick.
“Oh shit, babe. That feels so good”, Levi moans.
After a few more pumps Levi cums in you. You both are trying desperately to catch your breath. At this point it’s 3am and the exhaustion from the day is setting in for both of you.
You sleepily snuggle up to Levi and he places a kiss on your head. Normally you would never be able to fall asleep without cleaning up after sex, but you are so exhausted you don’t even think about getting out of bed.
Both you and Levi fall fast asleep, in each other’s arms.

Chapter 12 - Not My Day
Your alarm clock starts blaring and it scares the hell out of you. You quickly shut it off and turn over, checking the time on your phone. It’s 9am, today is the last day of the conference and you need to be there in an hour.
The memories of last night start running through your mind. You start to blush and wonder how you’ll be able to face Erwin and Levi today. It was only casual sex, you remind yourself.
You turn to see where Levi had slept for most of the night. You assume he snuck out before you woke up. You place your face in the pillow he laid on. Damn. It smells just like him.
You slowly sit up, and you have a headache from all the alcohol you drank last night. Thankfully the hangover isn’t too bad, but you definitely need some water. You look at your nightstand and your heart flutters. Levi had brought you a bottle of water and some advil. You chug the water and take the medicine, hopefully your headache will be gone soon.
You stand up and grab your outfit for the last day. Just a simple black pencil skirt and a white button up. You place your ear to the door, there’s no sounds coming from the living room so you bolt to the bathroom. You breathe a sigh of relief when you lock the door behind you and start the shower.
With the hot water running down your back, you start to feel alive again. And with that comes the twinge of pain that last night with Levi, will probably never happen again. You place your hands everywhere that he touched you last night, and relish in every moment.
God you wish you didn’t care. The truth is, one night stands were not your thing. You have had one previously, but it just left you feeling empty and worse. This facade that you’ve created of yourself, of being a badass woman who can sleep around and not give a shit, is crumbling.
You just desperately want someone to want you longer than an evening. Is your body really the only thing people are drawn to? You can start to feel the knot forming in your throat, your eyes are burning with tears trying to come out. You finally allow yourself to cry, keeping it as quiet as possible. You start to realize why last night is having such a heavy effect on you.
“God damn it I caught feelings”, You whisper through your tears.
You can’t deny it to yourself any longer. You have feelings for Levi, and he definitely doesn’t reciprocate those feelings.
You know that if you spoke to your father about this, he could easily have Levi replaced. But that won’t solve anything for you. These feelings are already here, never seeing him again would only hurt worse, right? At least this way you can still be in his presence, even if it’s not romantically.
You pull yourself together and finish your shower. You dress quickly and begin drying your hair. When the steam from the shower finally disappears, you see yourself in the mirror. Honestly, it hurts your heart.
After your hair is dry you listen again to see if you hear any movement in the living room. You don’t, so you sprint to your bedroom from the bathroom. You know you’re running low on time so you begin applying your makeup, making sure that you look your best.
You decide that it would be best to not bring up last night when you are around Levi and Erwin. You want to try and enjoy your last day in California before heading home.
You grab your phone and purse, you text your driver that you’re ready to be picked up. When you walk to your door, your heart starts racing because you know you’re about to see Levi. You try to shake it off, you need to act like last night didn’t affect you. You open your door and calmly walk to the kitchen. You grab a banana and as you start peeling it Levi walks around the corner.
“Hey we need to talk about last night”, He says and makes his way over to you.
Your stomach sinks because you know what’s coming. You make sure your voice is even and respond, “Okay. What about last night?”
Levi crosses his arms, “Listen, I don’t want you to take this the wrong way but it shouldn’t have happened. It was a mistake, I apologize.”
Well that was a huge punch to the gut. You try to hide your hurt.
“So was what happened in the bathroom at the ball a mistake too?”, You ask.
Levi pinches the bridge of his nose and sighs, “Yes. I’m your bodyguard, last night was totally inappropriate.”
You can’t help but think about when he held your hand in the car. Does he regret that as well? If he regrets it so much why were there multiple instances where he was showing me affection.
Levi asks, “What are you thinking?”
You can’t help but be pissed. How could he be so insensitive?
You respond, “I’m just thinking about how I should’ve just gone home with Erwin. A one night stand would’ve been much easier than hearing someone say how much they regret sleeping with you.”
You quickly put on your sunglasses to hide the tears welling in your eyes. You turn and walk out the front door.
Levi is right behind you, “Y/n! Wait! That’s not what I meant.”
Unfortunately for you, you are trapped with him in the elevator. You refuse to look at him as he stands beside you.
“I’m not saying that I regret it. I mean maybe I regret being unprofessional, but all I’m saying is that it was a mistake”, Levi says.
You give him a weak smile and ask, “Isn’t that basically the same thing?”
The elevator dings and you walk out. Levi is still going on and on about how it’s not the same thing, but you don’t listen to any of it. It’s all bullshit anyway.
Once you’re in the car, Levi finally shuts up. You look out the window and fight back the tears. You’re mad, but you’re not mad at Levi. God you wish you were mad at Levi, but no. You were mad at yourself. It’s not Levi’s fault, you knew exactly how this whole thing would go down and you still slept with him. A very stupid part of you hoped that maybe Levi would start to feel something more for you. And now he’s trying to be honest with you, and you don’t want to hear any of it.
When you arrive at the final day of the conference, most of the day feels like a blur. You’re stuck in lectures for most of the day. You’re bored out of your mind when they finally release you for the lunch break.
You sit down at a table and begin eating your lunch. You didn’t realize how hungry you were.
“Y/n!”, Erwin is smiling and walking towards you.
A blush creeps on your face and you wave to him.
Erwin sits down beside you and smiles, “So? What happened after I left!? Did you two finally sleep together?”
Your face fell, “Uh yeah. Yeah we slept together. But this morning Levi told me it was a mistake.” You blush and feel awkward, “Kind of humiliating if I’m being honest.”
Erwin looks at you concerned, “Oh god I’m so sorry, Y/n. I thought that maybe Levi would finally realize his feelings for you.” Erwin looks around, “Where is that asshole anyway?”
You shrug, “Dunno. He’s been giving me space.”
Erwin smiles softly, “If it helps, I enjoyed myself last night.”
You smile and look at him, “Really? You don’t regret it?”
He replies, “Not even a little bit. In fact, if you ever want to go again just let me know.”
You laugh and playfully nudge him, “Thank you, Erwin. That honestly made me feel a little better. And for what it’s worth, I had fun too.”
You had no romantic feelings for Erwin, but he was someone you quickly began to care for. You hope that your friendship continues once you both go back to Manhattan.
The closing ceremony was after lunch. You sat with Erwin for the rest of the day, you were honestly shocked at how normal you felt with him after last night.
You’re relieved when you’re leaving the conference, honestly you were excited to get back to the real world. It feels like you haven’t seen your friends in ages. Tomorrow is friday and you’ll get home in the evening, so maybe you can get together with your friends on saturday. You honestly just want to get plastered with your friends and forget about everything that just happened.
Once you’re in the car you pull out your phone. You open the group chat you have with your friend group.
“Hey bitches! Guess who’s coming home tomorrow hehehe. Anyone able to get drunk with me on saturday?”
You text the group and it only takes a few minutes for your phone to be blowing up from your friend’s responses. Everyone is down, and they’re figuring out which party we want to go to.
You lay your head against the car window and feel relief that you’re going home tomorrow. Saturday can’t get here fast enough.

Chapter 13 - Night Out
The plane ride home wasn’t terrible. You took a few sleeping pills before getting on, so once you got to your seat you passed out. You woke to Levi shaking your shoulder. You spent the car ride from the airport to your apartment extremely disoriented and half asleep. Once you are finally home you crawl into your warm bed and immediately fall into a deep sleep.
The sun is what finally brings you out of your deep slumber. You forgot to close your curtains the night before, so the sun is shining in your face. You groggily grab your phone and check the time. It’s almost 10am on Saturday. Damn you slept for a long time, but you definitely needed it.
You check your missed messages and see that your friends are planning to meet around 8:30 that evening at a popular bar near campus.
Campus. You let out a groan. You nearly forgot that you were still in college. That week off of homework and tests was amazing.
Your phone rings and you pick it up.
“Hello?”, You ask.
“Don’t tell me you only just woke up!”, Sasha shouts into the phone.
You smirk, “Yeah I was super tired after the week I had.”
Sasha replies, “I suppose I’ll allow it. Anyway, can Mikasa and I come over? We thought it would be fun to catch up and then get ready together!”
Your eyes brighten, “Yeah that would be great! I can order us some food too.”
Sasha squeals, “YAAAAAY!!!!! We’ll be over in an hour!”
You laugh and then hang up the phone. You schedule your food to be delivered in a few hours from now and you finally drag yourself out of bed. You’re starving so you walk to the kitchen and make yourself some breakfast. You’re sitting at the table when you notice Levi walking out of his room. He’s completely dressed for the day and looks like he’s been up for a while.
“Decide to finally get your ass out of bed?”, He says as he walks to the couch.
You roll your eyes but don’t respond to him. You continue eating your breakfast.
Levi glares at you, “Now you’re ignoring me? Damn you really are a child.”
Your head snaps in his direction and you look him in the eyes, “I’m not a fucking child.”
He snaps back, “Could’ve fooled me.”
The next few minutes you finish your breakfast in silence. Levi is annoying the shit out of you and you really need time away from him.
You stand up and take your dishes to the sink. You walk over to where Levi is reading a book and stand in front of him.
“Just so you know, I’m going to a party tonight. I’m going to have you switch places with my dad’s bodyguard until tomorrow”, You begin to walk away.
“Like hell you are. I’m not leaving your side”, Levi says.
You turn around clearly angry, “And why the fuck not?”
Levi responds, “I don’t trust anyone else to do my job.”
“My dad’s bodyguard is very capable and will take great care of me. Enjoy your boring evening with my dad”, You say curtly, thinking that is the end of your conversation.
Levi looks at you, “No. I refuse to go.”
You snap, “What the hell is wrong with you!? You don’t have a choice, you are not going with me tonight. As a matter of fact, how about you just take the damn night off. We both have had a very long week and I need at least an evening away from you.”
You stomp away and slam your door before Levi is able to argue with you. You immediately open your phone and call your dad.
Your dad answers, “Hello Y/n! How are you feeling after the week in California?”
You respond impatiently, “I’m fine, dad. I just really need a night away from Levi. He’s also exhausted after this last week, so I know he could use the evening off.” You knew that was a lie.
Your dad responds with concern, “Oh I’m sorry to hear that. I will call Levi and let him know he is not to stay with you tonight. Are you planning to just stay home tonight?”
“Yeah I was just going to have the girls come over”, You feel bad lying. It wasn’t a complete lie though since they were coming over.
“Okay then there’s no need for you to have security tonight. I’ll even send a car over now to pick up Levi and take him to a hotel for the evening”, Your dad replied.
You breathe a sigh of relief, “Thank you, dad. I’m sorry for being snippy, I just really need some girl time tonight.”
Your dad smiles, “Of course, honey. I have some paperwork to attend to, but I hope you have a great night!”
The call ends and you feel relieved. You decide to take a quick shower to prepare for your evening. In the middle of your shower you can hear the front door slam. You smirk, knowing that Levi was forced to leave for the evening.
---
A few hours have passed since your shower. Sasha and Mikasa have been here for a while, and you all have been catching up and devouring the food you ordered.
You have an hour until you are meeting the guys so you decide to get ready. You’re looking through your closet, trying to find the right outfit. You pull out a simple dress, and Sasha gives you a dirty look.
“Oh hell no. We are all dressing slutty tonight”, Sasha says with her arms crossed.
You look at her confused, “What? Why?”
Sasha comes over and grabs your shoulders, “Oh come on, Y/n. I know you’ve been super bummed ever since you came home. Especially after filling us in about your wild threesome. Which was super hot by the way.” The three of you giggle. Sasha continues, “I think you need a night out where you look and feel sexy. And if you want, maybe you can get some dick tonight.”
You laugh, “Did you forget that I just had a threesome a few days ago? Besides, I don’t really want to hookup with a random person tonight.”
Sasha smiles like she has a secret, “Oh it won’t be a random person.”
You look at her with concern, “What did you plan?”
Sasha replies calmly, “Oh nothing big. I may have invited a certain someone from your business classes to party with us tonight.”
You gasp, “Eren!? Shit. I’m going to be honest, I kind of forgot about him.”
Sasha laughs, “That’s okay. I mean you only met him a few weeks ago. But I heard that he’s very excited to see you tonight.”
You blush, you can’t deny that a small part of you is also excited to see him.
Mikasa speaks up, “If Sasha had to pick out my outfit, she also has to pick out yours.”
You giggle, “Fine. Go ahead, Sasha.”
Before Sasha reveals what she picked out for you, she and Mikasa get dressed. When you see then your eyes widen.
“Damn you guys look amazing!”, You squeal. You quickly realize the theme and cringe at the thought of you wearing something similar.
They both have lingerie on the top with denim on the bottom. It’s sexy but tasteful, they totally pull it off. You on the other hand, don’t think this look will work for you. Sasha holds out one of your favorite lingerie pieces. It’s black and the boob area is completely covered, but the rest of the top is only covered by lace. So a lot of skin will be showing.
You sigh, “Do I have to wear this? I don’t think it’ll look very good.”
Sasha rolls her eyes, “I know you workout with Mikasa fairly regularly. I promise it’ll look good.”
You grab the outfit and get changed in the bathroom. You look in the mirror and a burst of confidence rushes through you. You h/c hair is straightened and you put on some deep red lipstick. You walk out and Sasha immediately starts howling.
“See! I told you! You look hot!”, Sasha yells.
Mikasa smiles, “Don’t worry, Y/n. You really do look amazing.”
You smile and say, “Okay okay! Let’s get going, I need a drink!”
Sasha drives you three because you can’t let your driver know you’re leaving for obvious reasons. You do feel bad for lying to your dad, but it was for the best. You and Levi needed a night away from each other.
The three of you walk up to the club, there’s a short line so you get in the back.
“The boys saved us a table on the second floor”, Sasha says.
You and Mikasa nod, for some reason you start to get butterflies. You haven’t seen Eren in a few weeks, but the last time you did you guys made out and then he snuggled with you all night.
You turn to your friends, “So are you two officially dating Connie and Jean yet?”
Sasha giggles, “Connie and I aren’t official yet, but I think that’s coming soon.”
You smile at Sasha and then look at Mikasa.
Mikasa becomes shy, “Honestly I don’t know if I want a relationship with Jean. He’s just been a fun fling.”
A huge smile is on your face, “I’m so happy for you! There’s no need for labels if you two are just having fun.”
The line is moving quickly, the bouncer takes one look at the three of you and lets you in for free.
Sasha whispers to you, “We still got it!”
The three of you are giggling as you walk in. The bar on the first floor seems pretty empty so you walk up and order your first round of shots. You all were feeling nervous, so shots would definitely help with that. After downing your first drink you order a vodka redbull that you can sip on. The three of you pick up your drinks and head to the stairs. The music was loud and the lights were dim. The alcohol was providing a small buzz that helps boost your confidence.
Sasha leads you to the corner of the large room where the guys are all sitting in a booth. They were all laughing about something, but the moment the three of you approach the booth they stop laughing. They are all gawking at you and your friends.
You cross your arms, “I missed you guys too.” You roll your eyes and the guys start saying their hellos and asking how you were.
The booth was a U shape, Eren was sitting in the middle and Jean and Connie were on the sides. Jean steps out momentarily so you can sit beside Eren. Once Jean sits back down he puts his arm around you.
“Hey let me know if you want to hang out with me instead of that blockhead tonight”, Jean says with a smirk.
You playfully push Jean off of you, “Shut up you pig.”
You both laugh and you ask the group, “Where’s Armin?”
Connie responds casually, “He wanted to skip tonight since we would all be coupled up.”
You try to hide your surprise, “Oh, right.”
You feel butterflies when you think of you and Eren being coupled up. This is ridiculous, you haven’t even spoken to him. You take a big swig of your drink and then turn to him.
“Did you miss me?”, You say with a smile.
He leans down to be eye level with you, “More than you know.”
Your heart starts racing. He has his hair up in a messy bun, a few pieces are down and framing his face. You forgot how piercing his green eyes were. You’re practically drooling over him.
You clear your throat, “Uh, so how was class while I was gone?”
Eren fills you in on what you missed from the last week. You begin to feel a lot more relaxed with him. You and Eren are clearly flirting and you are definitely enjoying it.
“Hey I really like your hair. It’s cute when it’s in a bun like that”, You say with a smile.
Eren looks mischievous, “Well I really like the top you’re wearing. You look sexy, Y/n.”
You can’t help but blush, “Thank you. I was really nervous about wearing it, but I’m glad you like it.” The two of you begin to scoot closer, Eren rests his hand on your thigh.
Sasha interrupts, “Uh, Y/n. Isn’t that Levi over there?”
Your heart stops and you whip your head to where she’s looking.
“Oh for fucks sake”, You say.
Wait. Who the hell is that? Levi has his arm resting on the chair beside him, sitting in the chair is that same red head he was flirting with last time. He pulls her close and whispers something in her ear. She’s blushing so you can only assume he’s said something sexual. Your blood begins to boil and you chug the rest of your drink. The bar on this floor was right behind their table.
“I’m going to go get another drink and see why the fuck he’s stalking me on his night off”, You say clearly annoyed.
Eren asks, “Do you want me to come with you?”
You smile, “No it’s okay. This shouldn’t take too long.”
Jean lets you out of the booth and you are feeling pretty buzzed at this point. You decide to sneak past their table and get some more liquid courage first. You walk up to the bar and take a shot of vodka before asking for another mixed drink. You discreetly check your phone camera and make sure your hair and makeup look perfect.
Levi and this mystery girl are sitting on the same side of the table. You walk with confidence and grab the empty chair across from Levi and sit down. The moment you do, both of them look at you.
“Why the fuck are you here?”, You ask Levi.
He smirks, “I can’t have a little fun on my night off?”
You roll your eyes, “Did you follow me?”
He pretends to act confused, “I don’t know what you’re talking about. This is a very popular club in the city.”
“Cut the bullshit, I know you followed me”, You say bluntly.
The girl interrupts your heated conversation, “I’m sorry, but who are you?”
You look at her, she actually seems sweet and looks genuinely confused by the situation.
You sigh, “I’m sorry, I should’ve introduced myself. I’m Y/n, Levi is my bodyguard and is supposed to have the night off. So imagine my surprise when I see that he followed me here.”
She looks surprised, “Oh I had no idea.” She looks at Levi, “Is that true? Did you really follow her?”
Levi looks annoyed, “Of course not, Petra. I frequent this club, it’s just a coincidence.”
You knew that was a lie. You stand and put your hands on the table and lean forward, now you’re closer to Levi. You’re feeling ballsy having your cleavage right in front of his face.
“I guess we’ll find out the truth once I leave this place”, You say with confidence.
Levi looks caught off guard with you being so close, “W-Well aren’t you just going home? That’s where your father thinks you are anyway.”
You look at him and giggle, “See you later, Levi.” You look at Petra, “It was nice meeting you.” You push off the table and walk away, unable to wipe off the smirk on your face. You know that you’re driving Levi crazy and you have to admit, you fucking love it.
Once you get back to the table it’s only Eren. He points to the dance floor, and you spot the rest of your friends dancing. You motion for Eren to follow you and you both go over to where your friends are. You chug the rest of your drink and now you know that you’re drunk. A smile appears on your face.
Sasha shouts, “Oh no!! Drunk Y/n has arrived! If you don’t want grinded on you better run now!”
You’re known for becoming very touchy with everyone when you’re drunk. Your friend group is laughing, and you spot your first victim. You walk to Mikasa and you grab her hand. You dip in front of her and start shaking your ass on her. You and Mikasa laugh while you dance together. A few minutes later you walk over to Jean.
He smirks, “You sure you can handle this?”
You roll your eyes and start dancing with Jean. You look to see Sasha and Connie making out instead of dancing. Gross. Then you see Mikasa and Eren dancing together, it’s only friendly of course but you can’t help but think they look good together.
Jean whines, “I don’t like the way Mikasa is looking at Eren.”
You complain, “Ugh you’re such a buzzkill. I’m trying to dance.”
Jean surprises you and grabs your hips and pulls you back to him. You both spend the next few minutes dancing and grinding on each other. You step on Jean’s foot by accident and you start laughing when he grabs it in pain.
“Jean! I’m sorry!”, You shout in between laughing.
You feel someone hold your hand. You turn to see Eren smiling at you.
“My turn yet?”, Eren asks.
You smile, “I was saving you for last.”
You aren’t sure if it’s the alcohol or the adrenaline, but you’re feeling extremely ballsy. You grab the collar of Eren’s shirt and bring him in for a kiss. You two are kissing in between dancing. Your body is starting to feel like it’s on fire. You need more.
Eren leans to your ear, “Wanna go back to my place?”
You shake your head yes, “Let me tell everyone else.”
You grab your friends, “Eren and I are leaving! Have fun, but not too much fun.” You wink and everyone laughs.
Eren grabs your hand and you walk to the stairs. You look back and see Levi with your friends, he looks frantic. They point to where you are across the room, he looks at you and starts walking quickly to where you are.
You yell to Eren, “Hurry we have to run! Levi is coming!”
Eren turns and sees Levi pushing through the crowd. You both start running down the stairs. Thank god for Eren or else you would’ve fallen down the stairs. You weren’t drunk anymore because of the dancing earlier, but you were definitely still buzzed.
Eren does a good job at finding openings through the hoards of people. You look back and see Levi barreling down the stairs.
“Go go go! He’s catching up!”, You shout.
You and Eren finally make it to the door and once you’re outside you cross the street. Eren jumps on the back of a motorcycle and turns it on. You stop right beside it, you’re surprised that this is his ride.
“Are you sure you’re okay to drive this?”, You ask.
He looks at you, “I had one beer when we first got here. I’m totally sober.”
You both hear the front entrance door slam open. You see Levi looking around and he spots you.
You squeal, “Fuck!” You jump on the back of Eren’s bike, “Hurry!”
Eren revs his engine and he pulls out of the parking spot. You look to your side and you see Levi running across the street. But it’s too late. You stick your tongue out and give Levi the middle finger. His reaction shocks you, Levi laughs.

Chapter 14 - Empty Feelings
The wind is whipping through your hair as you clutch Eren tightly. The city feels so different racing through the streets on a motorcycle at night. The evening chill is helping you sober up. You pull into the parking garage of Eren’s apartment. After parking, Eren hops off his bike and offers you a hand. You grab his hand and he helps you off the bike.
Eren chuckles, “Well, we made it. Do you want to come up?”
You smile and say, “Sure.”
Eren smiles back at you and motions for you to follow him. You both walk into the building and make your way to the elevator.
Eren turns to you, “Are you still drunk? You seem like you’ve sobered up quite a bit.”
You giggle, “Yeah between the adrenaline of being chased and then the cold air, I’m pretty much sober now.”
Eren gently pushes some of your hair behind your ear, “Good.”
You blush and the elevator dings. Eren leads the way to his apartment. Inside it’s mostly tidy, a few things misplaced here and there.
“I share this place with my brother, but he’s out of town for the weekend”, Eren says.
“Oh nice!”, You respond.
There’s a few minutes of awkward silence, neither of you knew what to do. Eren pushed back a strand of his hair, clearly nervous. He walks over to you and grabs your hand.
Eren looks you in the eyes, “Let me know if you want me to stop, yeah?”
Your stomach drops and you begin to blush. Your heart is racing with anticipation.
“Okay”, You smile shyly.
Eren leans closer, “That smile of yours is going to get me into trouble.”
He kisses you gently, putting both hands around your face. You put your arms on his hips and pull him closer. He pushes you against the wall as you both deepen the kiss. Just as you are ready for more, Eren pulls away.
“Let’s go to my room”, He says.
You nod and follow him to his room. As soon as you shut the door he is back on you. This time he picks you up while kissing you, and walks over to his bed. He flops you down and you both giggle.
Eren slightly blushes as he looks at you, “You look good on my bed.”
You laugh and playfully hit his arm, “What a cheesy pickup line.”
He smiles as he crawls to hover over you, “But I got to see your smile again.”
All of Eren’s sweet words were making your heart flutter. You wrap your hand around the back of his neck and pull him down to you. The two of you begin making out, your hand slowly traveling down.
You could easily feel the bulge through his pants. You unbutton and unzip his pants. You begin to rub his bulge while his underwear is still covering it. Eren starts to moan and you gently push him off you, so he can lay on his back. Eren kicks off his pants and you begin teasing him by rubbing his cock over his underwear.
Eren whines, “Please, Y/n. I want you so bad.”
At this point you were so wet it was laughable, but you want to please him first. He’s been so cute tonight, you couldn’t wait to unravel him. You finally pull down his underwear, and begin stroking his dick.
“Oh fuck. Oh shit, it’s been so long. I don’t know how long I can go”, Eren looks concerned.
You smile and place a kiss on his thigh, “It’s okay, Eren. I just want to make you feel good.”
Eren whimpers and places a hand in your hair. You begin stroking him again and he grips your hair. You lay on your stomach in between his legs and start licking circles around his tip. Eren starts moaning and throws his head back. You take a deep breath and begin slowly taking his cock in your mouth. Once you become adjusted, you start moving up and down faster. You can tell Eren is on the brink by the way he is moaning.
“Y/n. I’m going to cum”, Eren whispers.
You moan on his dick and that puts him over the edge. He shoots off into your mouth and it takes everything in you to swallow it. You slowly pump his dick while he rides out his orgasm.
You lay beside him, “How are you feeling?”
He tiredly looks at you, “That was amazing, Y/n. It’s been so long since someone has done that for me, I’m sorry I didn’t last very long”, Eren chuckles, “I’m exhausted. I feel like I just ran a marathon.”
You smile, “Let’s go to bed then. Maybe watch some Zootopia before we fall asleep?”
Eren looks serious, “Wait are you sure? I wanted to make you feel good too.”
“It’s okay, Eren. You look really tired, and I’m honestly exhausted after tonight”, You lie.
Eren looks at you, “Well okay. You promise this is okay? I don’t want you to feel like I used you.”
You respond, “I promise! I know you would never use me like that. Anyway, I wanted to do it.”
You reassure Eren with a smile and he relaxes. He grabs his remote and turns on the movie.
“Do you have a tshirt I could wear?”, You ask.
Eren jumps up, “Oh of course! I’m sorry I didn’t think to grab you one.”
Eren really is a sweet guy. You can’t lie to yourself, you are disappointed nothing more happened tonight. But maybe it’s a good thing.
He hands you the tshirt and you walk to his bathroom. You get unready as fast as you can, and head back to his bed.
After turning off the light, he turns to spoon you. You curl up into his arms, and within minutes you can tell that he’s asleep. Honestly, your mind is racing.
Being with Eren feels so nice and safe, but you are starting to wonder if Eren is too sweet for you. From his exterior, he seems like a completely different guy. Normally you would think that you hit the jackpot, but something is keeping you from feeling that way. You can’t help but wonder if you could ever be romantically interested in Eren. Making out with him was fun, but you’re not sure if you could see yourself actually dating him.
You begin to feel extremely guilty. You shouldn’t have let this happen, what if you’re leading him on. He’s such a nice guy, and you would never want to hurt him. As your mind is racing, you don’t notice your eyes begin to shut.
--
You awaken to the smell of coffee and the feeling of sunshine on your face. You roll over and see Eren getting dressed.
He looks at you and smiles, “Good morning sleepy head. You can hangout if you want, I just have to leave soon to meet up with some work friends.”
You sit up quickly, “Oh my god I’m so sorry. You should’ve woken me!”
He laughs, “You looked so peaceful, I didn’t want to disturb you.”
You check the time and see that it’s 10:30.
“Shit. It’s late, I’m sorry”, You say as you grab your clothes.
“It really is okay, Y/n. Take your time”, Eren responds.
You change quickly in the bathroom and wash your face with water. You don’t look terrible, but you definitely don’t look good. You walk out and grab your bag and phone.
You say, “Hey I had fun last night. Thank you for taking care of me.”
Eren smiles, “And thank you for taking care of me as well.”
You both laugh as you walk to the door. You start to put on your shoes and Eren opens the door for you.
“Uh let me know if you ever want to hang out again”, Eren says nervously.
You know you should tell him that you think you want to just be friends, but you don’t want to rush that conversation. You want to be able to explain things to him.
You smile, “Will do.”
You walk out the door and to the elevator. You check your phone and see that you have a ton of unread texts.
“Shit”, You whisper.
Most of them were from your group chat with your friends. Your drunk friends just making sure you were okay and hyping you up for going home with someone. You quickly respond to them and walk out of the elevator. You pull up the Uber app to order a car, there was no way in hell you were calling your driver. Then your dad would know where you were last night.
“Hey”, Someone in the lobby says.
Your head whips around and your mouth drops open.
“How the hell did you find me?!”, You ask.
“You have your location services turned on with me, dumbass”, Levi responds curtly.
You slap your forehead and sigh. That’s why he laughed last night, there was no reason for you to run. That’s also how he knew which club you were at. You’re such an idiot.
“Come on, I can take you home”, He says and begins walking out.
You follow him, “How long have you been waiting for me?”
“Doesn’t matter”, Levi says.
Shit. He’s definitely been here since last night, he’s still wearing the same clothes. You begin to feel guilty. Levi gets into his car, and you hesitate for a moment. You’ve never ridden with him before. It’s a super nice car. You get in and lean your head on your hand.
“Well I hope you had the time of your life, my neck is so stiff from waiting for you”, Levi says clearly annoyed.
“I hate to break it to you, but it wasn’t that exciting”, You respond.
Levi asks, “Did you at least get laid?”
You scoff, “Not that it’s any of your business, but no. Eren was very tired after I suc-” You quickly stop talking, knowing that Eren was already on thin ice with Levi.
“You sucked him off and then he just went to bed? What a fucking pussy”, Levi says sharply.
“Levi! It’s not like that. He offered, but we were both really tired”, You defend Eren.
Levi responds, “He offered? I wouldn’t have given you a choice, you deserve to experience as much pleasure as he did.”
You sigh, “It’s really okay.”
You try to ignore the fact that he said what he would’ve done if he was Eren. If only Levi wasn’t so damn stubborn. You sneak a look at him, he’s got one hand on the steering wheel and is leaning his head on the other. He looks exhausted, but seeing him still makes your heart race. You quickly remind yourself that he would never be in a relationship with you. You can feel tears pricking the sides of your eyes, but you push them back. Levi pulls up to a red light, and you indulge in your fantasy for a few more moments.
You look at Levi and he looks back at you.
“I wish it would’ve been you last night. Having another man hold me just made me feel even more empty”, You say quietly.
Levi’s eyes widen and you look away, fighting back the tears that insist on falling. It doesn’t matter if Levi knows this or not, nothing will change. But at least you were honest, for your own sake.

Hey I was wondering if you can make scenario where reader gets injured by a titan and it happens right I'm front of Levi and he kinda rages out also I really love you and your work 👉🏾👈🏾❤
My heart leapt I love this, Levi’s going to go beast mode on this mf.
Summary: After you’re almost killed by a titan due to an error with one of the cadets Levi is not at all impressed and makes sure everyone knows it.
Disclaimer: I don’t own Attack on Titan I have neither the patience or skill or creativity to come up with something like that. I don’t own you either because that’s not something I think I would enjoy. I don’t own the GIf below either.
Warnings: violence, swearing, sexual references yadda yadda

Levi x Reader
Your ODM cables hissed through the air as the grapples buried themselves into the rough bark of the trees that made up the forest you were now soaring through. The wind pulling in your emerald cape and your locks of hair flying around your face as you twisted through the wooden pillars, your body jerking with each movement of the harness, your weight shifting to allow you to whip through the canopy of the forest, your blades drawn by your sides as your fingers hovered over the switches on your blades hilts.
The thick canopy of emrald leaves above you scratching at your skin as you zoomed through the branches of the forest, pushing off their surfaces and zig zagging through the sky, the surrounding area a blurr of greens and browns. Ribbons of golden sunlight pooling through the gaps in the leaves, colouring the jade forest with splashes of warm yellow. You inhaled the crisp forest air as you were pulled into the direction of a tree, reaching your feet out so your boots made contact with the wood and pushing as hard as you could against it to launch yourself back into the air, the sound of grinding metal ringing through your ears as the gas propelled you further and further into the tree tops.
You swung meters above the ground, looping and arching over tree branches, your sore muscles protesting with each movement you made but you ignored it a smirk making its way onto your face as you spotted two titans ahead lumbering through the trees walking side by side, their thin and being skin shining a sickly pale in the sunlight that peaked through the thick leaves of the tree tops.
You glanced around the group you were travelling with, their hoods drawn over their faces and their own bodies twisting through the air as they skilfully manoeuvre through the maze of trees. Each soldiers blade glinting in the sunlight that snuck through the leaves causing silver shimmers to reflect on the surface of the forest with each movement, the weapons of the most elite steaming with evaporated Titan blood.
You can see Hange’s ponytail flying out from under her cloak as she yells with excitement behind you, Petra and Oluo swinging to the left of you a few paces behind and Eld and Gunther are just a few laces infringe following the Lead of Erwin and Levi. There were a few cadets present too, Eren and Armin you know are somewhere in the group along with Jean, Reiner and Connie.
It was a simple mission really: take down any stray titans who were within a certain distance to the perimeter of wall Rose. There want any room for error it was that simple of a mission and with you one expertise it shouldn’t be too hard. You would be back before lunch if things went smoothly.
“We have two twenty meters!” one of the scouts behind you yelled.
“(Y/n)!” Erwin yelled from the front, turning his head over his shoulder to glance at where you were swinging a few meters back from him.
“On it!” you replied, not noticing the concerned look a particular captain who was soaring in front you, his silver eyes watching you carefully as he stole a glance behind him to watch as he fell away from the group.
Your fingers clenched around your hilts as your grapples came free from their positions in the trees, your body falling towards the ground and away from the group as you flexed one side of your body to send it spiralling towards the ground like torpedo, the world spinning around you and the wind whistling past your ears. Your cloak flapping behind you and a few knots of excitement twisting in your stomach as you kept your eyes on the demons ahead, their backs exploded to you, their napes ready for your blades to cut.
Your fingers flicked against the cable switches on the hilts causing the thick metal wires to whizz out from their holders and each grapple embedded itself into the soft bark causing your body to be ripped from its line of trajectory, white had pluming from its dispensers and sending your flying towards the titans. With your blades drawn you narrowed your eyes as your body was launched towards the space inbetween their heads where you would pass, your grapples once again coming loose you were left to fly through the air raising your swords before raising your body sharply so your blades spun in a dangerous flurry of metal around you as each one made contact with the napes the two titans.
A weighty feeling came from your weapons as they sliced through the fragile flesh of the beats, deep scarlet blood splattering the air and staining your face and clothing, great plumes if hot smile looking from the falling titans necks as they crashed towards the floor, blood pouring from their open wounds you had inflicted upon them. The forest floor shaking as the oversized predators hit the floor, you grinned to yourself as you once again launched your cables higher into the trees to rejoin the scouts above you receiving praises from the younger recruits.
You glanced over to the man cruising along beside you, his face stoic as ever but you could see him give you a subtle nod. His own way of praising you for a decent kill, you gave him a small smile before falling back behind him to allow him to continue leading the mission with Erwin, your body being pulled by the harness as you fell back into position inbetween Petra and Oluo, your hair whipping your face as your cloak hood cosine contain the amount of hair you had.
“Nice kill (y/n)!” Petra shouted to you and you nodded winking at her.
“I’ve seen better.” Oluo called back giving you smug look, you have him a dead pan stare arching an eyebrow, he gave you a nervous smile “but yeah...g-good kill.”
“I know you want to be like the captain, Oluo, but if you’re going to at least attempt to do a good impression stick to your criticism.” you say to the man, his face flushing beet red as Petra giggles to herself at her friends expense.
“I do not try to be like the Captain!” Oluo defends and a laugh erupts from your lips as you flip over a tree branch bridge resuming your line “it’s just so happens that we are both very stoic men who point out faults in others where they can improve. If anything the captain is trying to be like me.”
“Oi!”
You, Oluo and Petra turn your attention to the Captain who had just shouted, his face turned back to stare at the trio, his eyes half lidded and ebony hair fluttering around his face as he continued to move through the trees, his cape billowing out behind him.
“Shut up.” he comments in his dead pan voice before flipping through the air and continued on his path, hiding the smirk on his face when he hears your laughter rip through the forest once again.
It was no secret that Oluo liked to imitate the captain, and while the others said it was a form of flattery, you and Levi both agreed it was creepy. Of course the idiotic man meant no harm, through his acts but it still freaked you out when he tried to embody your stoic boyfriend and captain. You were often teased by the others that Oluo would try to take you from the captain just to push the likeness even further, Levi had shut that jeering down instantly and said that Oluo’s imitation of him would always be subpar because he had no chance with a woman like you.
But still, it was entertaining to say the least to see someone as extroverted and charismatic as Oluo think he could imitate the grave and deadly captain. It made cleaning so much more interesting to have Oluo try and act like Levi.
“One abnormal on the left, about ten meters!” Jean yells.
You glance down to see a bizarre looking Titan with lanky arms and a big head making a mad dash through the trees, it was moving like some sort of frog launching itself from tree to tree, it’s lifeless eyes rolling to the back of its head to glance up and see you and the others. You grimaced when it stopped and stood to its feet beginning to crawl up one of the bigger trees, it’s grotesque hands clawing at the bark, it’s tongue hanging from its mouth as saliva drooled from its lips. It’s pace began to pick up and it’s slow crawling suddenly increased to dart up the tree like a lizard, it’s legs speeding it up the tree as it reached a hand out.
You released a yelp as its fingers almost collided with you, thinking fast your own fingers twitched over the ODM switches causing your gas dispenser to change direction and push you over the outstretched Titan hand, your body arching over its finger tips as it made a swipe at you. Your heart hammering in your chest as you stole a look back, your eyes widening when you saw it’s eyes following you and it crouched again the trunk as if it was getting to junk onto the next trunk.
“Erwin!” you called after your commander, the blonde man stole a glance over his shoulder to see the abnormal begin to leap from tree to tree in an art sky to catch up.
The commander glanced over to the captain who was behind him, Levi’s bored eyes meeting Erwin’s brilliant blues and instantly under stood what his friend was asking. Without even thinking Levi’s delicate fingers squeezed on his ODM levers and his trajectory was stopped, his body being repelled backwards as the others flew past him his eyes meeting yours in he seconds you passed before his grapples came loose and he backflipped through the air, arching his body around to face the abnormal head on.
It was inches behind him as he turned, it’s ugly hand outstretched once again to try and siege its prey but it clearly didn’t know who it was up against.
Levi grunted as his cables launched through the air to grapple onto a branch meters above his head causing Levi to shoot upwards just as the titan’s hand closed around the space he had once been in. As Levi was pulled upward he pushed his body round in the air so his feet were facing upwards, his feet making contact with the bark before he pushed himself off it his grapples ripping from the branch and letting him free fall for a while.
Gritting his teeth, Levi pulled one blade behind his head holding it in its usual backward position, the other one out of infront of him held opposite to the one behind him. Eyes narrowed and mind focused on the exposed Titan below him, the Captain began to slim through the air his blades whipping around him in a glimmering blurr of silver as he fell towards the Titan his weapons soon making contact with the titans lower back, his body still rolling up and along the titans spine.
Blood flying everywhere as his blades slashed over the Titans skin pushing Levi closer to the nape, the Titan’s body falling Lino as the flurry of blades made contact to the sweet spot of the Titan and Levi launch led back into the air, a trail of steam chasing after him as the blood evaporated from his clothing. He fell back beside you, the echoing crash as the titans body hit the floor not even phasing him. You shot him a smirk.
“You trying to out do me captain?” you tease as steak a glance over to where he swings beside you.
“That’s not a hard thing to do.” he answers dryly forcing the urge to smile back down as you release a feigned hurt through and audible gasp.
“Show off.” you grumble and he gives a sly side eye.
“If you want to get better brat you know what you have to do.” he says and you groan rolling your eyes.
“Don’t say it...” you threaten and he scoffs.
“More training.”
“Ugh, you said it.” you grumble.
“You can’t expect results if you don’t put the effort in.” Levi reprimands and you feel you earlier success begin to ebb away as you were given a lecture by your boyfriend.
“I put all the effort in, incase you forgot I was early to our last session. But you must remember that, surely.” you say coyly smirking once again as Levi’s fave turns a light shade of pink and be turns his head away from you to hide the blush creeping over his pale cheeks.
You were if cojrse referring to the time you had arrived to training thirty minutes early, only for Levi to end up dragging you away to the gear shed for a quick make out before the others arrived. Usually Levi didn’t do anything that intimate outside a bedroom or his office, but seeing you sliding your ODM harness over your body and tightening the straps over your chest and ass had turned him on. He had to admit you did put a lot of work into training and your body proved it, something he had realised as he had run his lips over your toned biceps and stomach.
In fact, he could feel his breeches tighten slightly as his mind brought him back to the passionate moments spent in the gear shed which he quickly hid by pulling his cloak tighter around his body.
“Re group!” Erwin called out landing on a huge tree branch, his ODM cables sliding back into their holders as the commander stood waiting for his soldiers.
You watched as Levi landed on a branch below the one his friend stood on, soon followed by yourself your squad mates and the cadets. You stumbled forward slightly as your cables wobbled and Levi instinctively reached out hold you steady, his hands gentle on your shoulders as he helped you stand. You gave him a grateful smile and nodded letting him know you were ok as you sheathed your blades back into the scabbard, he nodded in response and pressed a quick kiss to your cheek before turning on his heal to talk to Erwin about the next steps of the Titan clean up.
You watched his retreating from as he grappled to where Erwin was on another branch above you. Sighing you reached a hand up to your cheek to brush where Levi’s lips had pressed against your skin a warm tingle spreading from the slight spark that came from the area where your lover had planted his ceal of affection.
It was rare that Levi showed public displays of affection, but sometimes if he was in a good mood or if he felt like he needed your touch he would allow himself to steal a brief moment of physical contact, whether it be hand holding or a small kiss or even a very very rare smack on the ass, Levi showed his adoration for you in his own Levi way.
“You two are so cute.” Petra says from behind you, you feel a grin spread over your face and you turn to face her.
“You think so?” you ask leaning against the tree trunk and folding your arms, Petra stands opposite you resting her mousy head against the tree trunk and pressing her body into it for support, her puppy dog eyes wide with adoring glimmer.
“I never thought I would see the Captain so happy.” she says quietly, your irises shift to state her from the corner of your eyes.
You could see it on Petra’s kind face that she was experiencing a range of emotions. Petra was not a bad person infant she had been your should hold friend, so when you looked into her eyes now you could see the disappointment that it wasn’t her making the captain happy the way you did. Petra has had a crush on Levi for the longest time, ever since you had joined the scouts in fact she had oggled at the man non stop, it had broken your heart to tell her that you and Levi were romantically involved. But she had been supportive, something you admired her for.
“Thank you Petra.” you say warmly and she gives you a weak grin, you place a hand in your hip and look out at the cadets who are trying to get there breath back either lying in the tree branch or hunched over taking heavy breaths.
You could remember your first few times out the walls. You had to admit though you had much better endurance then these cadets now, maybe they had slackened the training you would have to ask about that.
“You think they can keep up with us?” you asked Petra a grin on your face and she giggled as she watched Connie panting like a dog as Reiner helped Armin stand to his feet.
“They aren’t doing so well are they?” Petra agreed her voice laced with concern, you yourself found it rather amusing.
“It’s not like we were so great outside the walls for the first time.” you shrug and Petra’s face creeps with a pink blush and she hides her face under her cloak hood, pulling the fabric over her hair.
“You said you’d never speak about that again.” she whimpered and you chuckled.
“What that you pe-“
“(Y/n)!”
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry.” you say placing a hand on her shoulder giving her a smile “I won’t tell anyone you peed yourself.”
You couldn’t help the laugh that erupted from your lips as Petra shot you an attempt an angered glare, but the girl just couldn’t look ferocious even if she tried and it only made the attempt at trunk to look scary even funnier.
“What are you ladies talking about?” Oluo asked making his way over with Eld and Gunther, you turned your gaze from your female friend to face the three men.
“Nothing important.” you comment and you notice Petra ease slightly.
You wouldn’t rat her out. You liked to tease her but you weren’t a horrible person, at least not to your friends.
“It’s probably just girl stuff.” Oluo commented.
“Oh yeah? And what girl stuff would we be talking about?” you ask folding your arms, Petra following your actions as you wait for some kind of sexist comment.
Oluo scratches the back of his head sweat drooling nervously, he glanced back to Eld and Gunther for support but they back off holding their hands up in surrender and he shoots you and Petra a weak smile.
“Girl stuff being about how awesome you too are.” he says and you give him a playful smirk nodding your head.
“Correct answer.” you confirm and Oluo relaxes breathing a sigh of relief that he hadn’t said something stupid like he usually did.
You were about to continue the conversation when a yell interrupted. You turned your gaze to were the yell had resonated, your eyes landing on Eren who was fiddling with his ODM straps, a panicked look in his green eyes as he pulled in his ODM harness. Your brow furrowed as you watched him struggle against the leather straps as he tried to adjust them. Was there something wrong with his gear? If so he needed to report it immediately. You glanced up to the branch above you were Levi, Hange and Erwin stood talking about the next steps of the Titan clean up, it was clear they hadn’t heard the boy’s angered curses so as fourth in command you took it upon yourself to check out what was going on.
“Excuse me guys.” you mumble moving away from your squad members to check up on the young cadets.
You made your way carefully along the tree branch, the bark rough under boots and to anyone who hadn’t trained in the military for years they would have fallen off. But you had excellent poise and balance so it didn’t take long for you to each where the group of cadets stood, Eren to the side of them still violently pulling in his ODM gear.
“Yeager!” you call out.
The cadets all turn to you and Eren stops pulling on his harness as his jade eyes meet your own. From above Levi breaks his conversation with Hange to steal a glance down to where he could see you talking to Eren, his silver eyes never leaving you as he observed his yoh handeled the situation.
“Yeager is everything ok?” you ask stopping to stand infront of him, placing your hands on your hips.
“Yeah, everything is fine.” he says stiffly and behind your back you don’t see Jean shaking his head at his comrades dishonesty.
“It looks like you’re having some trouble with your gear. You need a hand?” you ask again stepping forward to get a closer look, Eren backs away pulling his cloak over his body to conceal the ODM gear from you.
“No really it’s fine.” Eren says and you pause your brow furrowed.
It wasn’t a very convincing act to say the least and you didn’t believe him for a second, but he was sixteen and you had to trust that he knew what he was doing even if it meant he would suffer a comcequence if he was wrong. ODM gear was a vital part of a soliders weapon arsenal, even less active members like the np and garrison had to keep their gear in pristine condition to avoid hurting themselves and more importantly others. You could see that Eren was growing annoyed with your pestering but you wouldn’t risk the lives of your fellow soliders if one boy was too stubborn and prideful to admit that his fear had a fault.
“Yeager I’m going to ask one more time.” you say ignoring the scowl on his young face, you lean down to push your face into his slightly your eyes locking with his own to ensure there was no glimmer of untruth in his words “is there something wrong with your gear?”
Eren kept his gaze firm making sure his face didn’t betray the truth. He knew he should be telling the truth, his candour would more then likely benefit everyone around him if he said that his ODM straps had a broken buckle and that his leg was slipping slightly from his harness which was causing his accuracy to be thrown off. But he didn’t want to be sent back, he wanted to kill the titans and he didn’t want to hear it from Jean later that he had pussied out, because knowing Jean that was something he would do.
“No ma’am. There’s nothing wrong with my gear. I was just having trouble tightening the straps, it’s sorted though.” Eren answered and you arched a brow but didn’t say anything else in the matter.
You nodded standing to your full height, you stole a glance up to see Levi from above watching the scene, you gave him a look that told him that you didn’t believe the boy. Levi nodded which you knew meant he would keep an eye on Eren, the young Titan shifter was impulsive and drama often followed wherever he went; Levi wouldn’t put it past Yeager to lie about something like malfunctioning gear, the boy was desperate to taste Titan blood to the point that Levi was concerned.
“All right, lets carry on. Only a few more areas to cover!” Erwin yelled down from his tree branch flipping his hood back over his blonde head, everyone else followed suit.
The familiar sound of ODM cables and gas rung through the forest once again as Erwin launched from his position on the tree soon followed by Hange soon followed by everyone else the wings of freedom on jade cotton flapping through the air once again.
You pulled your blades from their scabbered, your fingers automatically twitching again the cable switches and your felt your harness be pulled right against your body as the cables whizzed out from the holders and ripped you back into the air. Your gas once again hissing as it pushes you higher into the tree tops careful to keep your blades a safe distance from your body as you swing through the forest.
It didn’t take long before more titans were spotted, this time there were five of them, two twelve meters one five meter and a fifteen meter.
Five wasn’t a small amount of titans but you had dealt with a lot more and a lot worse in the past, these ones seemed like normal titans with no intelligence or ability to climb trees. It should be an easy kill.
“Squad Levi!” Erwin called out causing your attention to be drawn to the commander “there’s one for each of you. Levi stay with me I see three abnormals ahead. Cadets stay by Squad Levi should Things go wrong.”
“Yes sir.” the cadets chorused as the split into separate directions to soar above the titans were you and your squad mates would be.
Levi gave you a curt nod as he flew beside you, his sliver eyes hidden under his onyx hair and his face unsmiling as he followed behind Erwin and Hange to take care of the abnormals ahead.
Your cables unhooked from the trees and you were swung high above the others, a few tree branches scratching your face as you were launched skyward the others a few paces behind you. In a flurry of fingers your digits flicked against the switches once again to change the direction of the gas, the dispenser spinning around to push against your upward direction, a plume of white air escaping from the gas chamber as you arched your body, your back bending over itself to have your body arch in the air and cause you to be sent falling back toward the titans below.
You held your blades tightly in your hands as they glistened with anticipation at getting to cut more titans down, an eager smirk on your face as you fell towards the prey below beginning to spin your body and raising your blades to become a Catherine wheel of sharpened metal as you careened towards the titans the world spinning around you.
You grit your teeth as you inch closer counting the seconds until contact.
Five.
Ten meters.
Four.
Seven meters.
Three.
Five meters.
Two.
One meter
One....
A shriek escapes your lips as something slammed into your side, your body being torn from its direction as whatever it was that had smashed into your side sent you hurtling through the air a pained gasp slipping through as your side throbbed with a dull ache and the air was ripped from your lungs. Whatever, or whoever, had crashed into you was tangled in your cables causing their hands to grasp your cloak and their body to be pushed into yours.
The world was blurry as you screamed towards the trees being thrown meters from the titans that your squad was taking down, their yells after you falling on deaf ears. Your muscles tensing as you braved for impact unable to move your fingers due to the shock, a nauseas feeling sweeping through your stomach.
You tried to peel your eyes open against the chilling winds that ripped through your hair and over your skin, your eyes watering and instantly slamming back closed as the harsh winds pricked at your eyes.
Whoever had slammed into you had managed to free themselves from your cables and had managed to launch their grapples in the air and save themselves but not quick enough to save you too.
An ear piercing screech left your lungs as your right shoulder made contact with the gnarled bark of a tree sending an explosion of pain through your right side that burned your nerves as the rest of your body made impact with the hard surface.
Blinded by pain, your body repelled off the tree and you were left to fall to the ground, your right side slamming into the earth below and your aching body sliding along the ground as dirt and grass flew around you a large trail of upturned dirt marking the path you had crash landed.
Mud caked your skin from having ploughed into the ground, half your body pressed into the grass and blood staining your cheeks from various cuts and bruises that littered your skin. Laboured breaths left your lips as you lay on your side gagging on the air, your body shaking from shock and your eyes unblinking. Heart pounding in your chest and blood pounded against your skull, a dull ringing filling your ears as you tried to gather any and all strength you had to try and stand.
“Ugh.” you groaned, your arms shaking beneath your weight as you tried to sit yourself up, scarlet blood sliding down your forehead and stained the grass below, a rusty smell filling your nose.
“(Y/n)!”
You blinked slowly as the sound of Gunther’s voice filled your clouded head, groggily you looked up to try and see where your squad mates were but you couldn’t see them in the trees and you couldn’t find the titans either. How far had you fallen?
Well it wouldn’t do you any good to stay on the ground, you needed to get airborne again and find your bearings. These woods were crawling with demons and you wouldn’t stand much of a chance against one should one of them find you.
Inhaling one last shaky gasp of air you tried to get to your feet, the world spinning slightly and your muscles screaming in protest as you got to your heavy feet stumbling from the disorientation.
You squeezed your eyes shut taking steady breaths the dull ringing still shattering in your ears.
“Ok, easy girl.” you whispered to yourself as you peeled your eyes open, the trees looming above you like great beasts “ok. One thing at a time, get to the trees again.”
Slowly with a trembling hand you reached down to grasp your ODM hilt gasping as shooting pain came through your arm, why couldn’t you move it?
“Fuck!” you seethed clutching your arm with your other hand, your right shoulder must have been dislocated from the impact. But it meant you couldn’t move your arm and that meant you were stuck on the forest ground, with titans lurking in the trees.
This wasn’t good.
...
“What happened?” Levi asked, his voice stern as he looked at the faces of the cadets and his squad mates.
The bodies of the titans below already beginning to evaporate, hot steam clouds rising into the trees where the scouts were perched.
Levi had heard the screams and had instantly recognised them as your own, he had instantly turned around and headed back to where he had left you and his squad only to see that four of the five titans had been killed and that you were missing from the group. At first he had thought the worst upon your absence, but he had been quickly told that an accident had happened and that your squad mates had seen you get pulled from your position and had disappeared into the trees.
The captain had yet to discover what exactly had happened but he wasn’t too concerned about that, his only priority was to find you and make sure you came home with him. Although he noticed that Eren had been rather quiet and that he remained at the back of the lack as if seeking protection and all to soon it clicked in his head and he could see that Eren’s harness was broken.
He could deduce what had happened without having to be told.
Rage wasn’t enough to describe what he felt, his steely eyes locking with Eren’s and before he could control himself Levi had lunged towards Eren only for Eld and Gunther to instantly reacting and blocking the man’s path to lash out at the boy. Eren stumblwd backwards, his huge eyes frantic in fear as the furious captain glared at him as Oluo tried to hold him back.
“Woah captain it’s ok.” Oluo said trying to sooth the shorter man.
“Shut up Oluo.” Levi growled his dark eyes meeting with Eren’s again, his fists clenched as he regained control of himself trying to calm his breathing
“Yeager, if we don’t find her you had better pray that I don’t kill you.” he growled darkly, his ever unsmiling face seeming to look more angered then usual.
“Y-Yes sir.” Eren stammered.
Levi grunted, launching his grapples into the forest, turning to face the others as he pulled his cloak hood over his head.
“My girlfriend is missing and one of those damn titans is still wandering around here along with others. Find her.” Levi ordered “Kirstien stay here with Yeager.”
“Yes sir.” the scouts chorused shooting their own grapples and launching from the tree leaving the two boys behind.
Levi presses his eyes closed as he soared through the air trying to push down the anxiety swelling in his chest.
“Come on brat where are you?” he muttered to himself as he glided through the trees.
...
“Fuck!” you growled again as you limped along the ground.
Your gear was busted. So busted it didn’t matter that your arm was fucked up too, the cables had been caught in the inner cogs off the individual cable expellers, you were a flightless bird stranded on a floor filled with hunting dogs.
Your body was numbed with pain and had it not been for the adrenaline you feared you wouldn’t be able to move.
You didn’t know where you were going and you figured it would have been better to stay where you were so if the others came looking for you then at least they might be able to find you quicker. But then again staying still meant that it was more likely foe titans to find you. Training had not prepared you for this kind of situation, maybe Levi was right maybe you should do more training.
You smiled to yourself as your mind brought you back to the man you loved. The only thought had given you motivation to move had been giving you strength was of Levi, you had kept asking yourself: what would Levi do?
You knew that man could survive anything, if you thought like him and acted like him then maybe you could make it back to the group. Maybe that was why Oluo liked to pretend to be the captain? No. He wasn’t that smart.
“Ok, you can do this. What would he do next?” you thought to yourself as you continued to slowly walk through the forest your eyes scanning for something anything to show you the way back, your injured arm supported by your other one.
“Levi would...he would....if the others killed the titans then there should be steam from the skeletons. Look for steam. Yes that right.” you mumbled to yourself as you turned around to try and locate any traces of Titan steam your heart lifting when you saw trails of greyish steam twirling through the under growth of the forest.
A smile of triumph worked its way into your face, your pace quickened as you made your way to where the steam was closing a certain area of the forest, that must have been were you had come from before you were knocked from the sky.
With new found optimism you continued through the forest, the grass soft beneath your boots and the blood having dried on your skin no longer falling into your eyes.
You had to admit that you were surprised you hadn’t run into a Titan yet, was it luck or just amazing timing? Either way you were relieved that the world was deciding to show you a kinder side, things were looking up and as you made your way through the trees you began to notice the beauty of the forest.
You hadn’t ever noticed the patches of spring flowers that spring from mossy rocks or how birds flit from the tree branches, their tiny blue wings flashing in the light as they chirp. Had you known that this world wasn’t a waking nightmare, you would have thought that it was beautiful. But as usual in this infested paradise, something sinister was always lurking in the shadows.
Maybe that’s why you weren’t surprised when the ground began to shake, the air leaving your lungs as a sick feeling of chilling dread filled your body.
You knew why the ground was shaking, there was only one reason the ground would ever shake like that, you could feel each step the giant behind you took and you couldn’t help but gasp as tears prickled your eyes as you gathered the courage to turn around and face your death.
Your legs were heavy as you mind screamed at you to run but your feet remained planted to the ground as you trembled in terror at the Titan that was stumbling towards you. It’s thin lips spread into a twisted grin displaying a set of blood stained teeth, it’s lanky legs clumsily bringing it closer and closer to where you stood staring up at in fear. Dirty locks of brown hair swung around its ugly face, it’s body was long with purplish veins protruding from its skin, it’s fingers caked in mud as it stumbled closer and closer, it’s body swaying as it neared. It’s eyes were blood shot with pinprick irises. Lifeless and cold, it’s eyes were empty if any sigh of conveying emotions other then a want for human flesh. Your flesh.
“God no.” you whispered, your heart pounding in your chest so violently it’s made you grow faint as your mind continued to urge you to run in the opposite direction but what could you do?
What would Levi do?
You glanced down at the scabbards on your hips, the blades they concealed almost winking at you. You growled as you shifted your arm the searing pain shooting through your dislocated shoulder as you moved your left hand down to pull a blade free from its position in the scabbard, the sound of metal scraping echoing in your ears as you unsheathed your weapon.
Ankles. Aim for the ankles that was your only chance. Slice it’s ankles and send to to the floor.
Your fingers danced over the switch to release a cable, one should be ok to use is the other was left alone. You would have to say close above the ground and get the precision right, the timing had to be perfect.
Releasing a pent up breath of nerves your fingers pressed the switch and the cable exploded from the expelled attaching to the base of a tree about twenty five meters from where you stood pulling you off the ground.
You tensed you body pushing past the pain as you were pulled inches above the ground, your body skimming over the longer blades of grass, your hair flying behind you as you raised your one blade to your face getting ready to land a blow to the titans ankles and you began to count down.
Three.
Four meters.
Two.
One meter.
One.
A yell ripped from your lips as you swung the blade down, the sharp metal slicing through the titans ankles blood pouring into the air and over your face as you careened past the monster, with one last bout of energy you pulled your body so your feet planted into the base of the tree. You panted as you stayed positioned on the tree, your feet on the bark and your body sideways as you turned to look over your shoulder still suspended a few inches above the ground.
You watched as the Titan fell, it’s huge body crashing into the floor below.
Loud pants left your lips as you dropped to the floor too, your legs buckling underneath you from exhaustion as the pain settled back in again, the adrenaline once again seeping away. You still had to slice the nape of the neck and stop the monster from regenerating but your eyes were growing heavy with exhaustion, your muscles turning to stone with each attempt to rise to your feet.
“No shit, no.” you hissed as you fell backwards, you back slamming into the tree to keep your body sat upright.
Your blood stained cake crumpled beneath you, your jacket as you tried to move but your body was stubborn “no this can’t be happening. What would Levi do? What would Levi do?”
Levi wouldn’t have gotten himself into this situation in the first place. No amount of training you did would ever make you come close to his skill. Now you would die here, in the jaws of a Titan.
Through groggy eyes and laboured breaths you watched as the Titan got back to its feet, it’s ankle having slightly healed and now dragging itself along the floor towards you. The ground clenched under its hands as it dragged itself along the ground towards you, an ungodly hand reaching it infront of it to try and grab you it’s hands edging closer as the beast slowly moved closer and closer.
What would Levi do? What would Levi do? No. What would (y/n) do? You had no means of movement, no way to get up and fight like you had before, you only had one option left and this would either be a huge mistake or your saving grace. You inhaled one last final breath filling your lungs with air.
“LEVI!!!!”
...
Levi stopped mid air, his feet slamming into the side of a tree to halt himself, the others following his actions and landing in the side of the tree with him, suspended meters above the ground.
He glanced around from under his cloak, his eyes darting around the forest in desperation. He had heard something, he wasn’t stupid he knew when he heard something especially if that something was you.
“You found her captain?” Eld asked, Levi didn’t answer instead he raised a hand to signal for silence, his blade glinting in the light as it moved.
He clenched his jaw as he focused, hoping that he was right and it had been your voice he had heard. He prayed it was you he had heard, the last minutes of searching had been agonising for him and although he had kept his emotions on a tight leash, beneath the calm sea was a raging storm.
“LEVI!!!!”
There!
“(Y/n)!” he yelled instantly launching from the tree and taking off towards where your voice had come from, the others sharing glances belfry following after him.
Levi flew faster then he ever had through the trees to try and reach you, praying he could get to you in time. Judging by the sound of your voice as it echoed through the forest, you were in danger and he’d be damned if he ever lost you.
...
You couldn’t think straight.
Your back pinned into the tree as you sat gasping for air, the shooting pains ripping through your body as you stared the Titan in the face as it crawled nearer and nearer, the forest floor churning under it’s body as it crawled closer. It’s dead eyes filled with nothing but the desire for human flesh. Your flesh.
Calling out for Levi was all you could think of doing, crying for the man you loved. The man who had always protected you and cared for you, his name having left your lips with nothing else to save you, you cousins save yourself this time and Levi was the only thing that gave you hope but it seemed these were your final moments.
“Levi where are you?” you whispered aching for the man you had fallen in love with.
You knew there were other titans wandering through these trees, your screaming would have undoubtedly alerted them and if Levi had heard your screams for his protection then it was a race between him and the other demons who roamed the earth. It was a losing game, you were the prize and it seemed Levi would lose .
You glanced up with tears eyes as the Titan was too close for your liking, your body frozen in fear and exhaustion.
Is this what your fallen comrades had seen before they had perished? Had they too felt the empty feeling of hopelessness? Had your fallen soldiers stared death in the face like you were now with fear or honour? Knowing they were going to die for the good of humanity had they been afraid? You were afraid. Did that make you a bad soldier?
You had known death was an occupational hazard, you had never expected to live this long but now you could see your death dragging itself towards you and your years of training slipped from your mind. You didn’t want to die, you had only wanted adventure with the adrenaline of the chance of not coming home lingering over your head. But now it seemed the adrenaline had been spent.
Terror sinking in as you realised that your hour glass of life had shattered, the last grains of your time on earth slipping through your fingers as the titans beastly hand wrapped around your fragile body.
Its fingers squeezed tightly around your trembling frame, your shoulder crying in pain as it was crushed against the palm of the Titan. A weightless feeling falling over you as you were lifted high into the air, your feet dangling in the air and the green forest floor being left behind. Your ribs almost breaking from the pressure of the titans grip, the sensation of the air being pushed from your body causing a bile to rise in your throat as you tried your hardest to try and think of a way out but your mind was numb with only an intent to try and free yourself.
The Titan opened its mouth to reveal a cavern of teeth with a disgusting tongue riddled with putrid saline awaited you, your eyes wide in overwhelming petrification as the dark abyss of the titans mouth as shown to you. Your demise waiting at the bottom of a ghastly throat.
Five meters.
The Titan brought you closer to its mouth, which widened even more.
Four meters.
You squirmed in its grip, tears running down your face as you found a will to try and escape.
Three meters.
There was no point in trying, your hear was crushed and you could barely stay awake. Why cousins you scream? You opened your mouth to shout holding anyone could save you but no noise came out, only a breathless rasp.
Two meters.
You could smell the titans breath, like rotten meat and you gagged on the vile smell, your eyes blurring with tears as the Titan pulled you closer and closer, your feet inches from its lips.
One meter.
You squeezed your eyes shut, bracing your self for the pain of being cut in half by carnivorous teeth, tears streaming down your face as you turned your face into your shoulder the smell from the titans mouth over powering.
“Levi I love you.” you whispered.
...
“(Y/n!)”
Your eyes snapped open as a familiar voice rang through the air. Your eyes scanned up to the sky, relief flooding your veins as your saw Levi careening towards the Titan, his blades drawn high and ready to strike, his cloak billowing behind him and his hair around his eyes as his grapples hooked into the tree behind you as he flew towards the titans nape.
The anger on Levi’s face was nothing like you had ever seen on the captain, his sliver eyes narrowed into a fierce glare, his grey irises rippling with pent up aggression and terror at having seen you so close to death, his usually pouty full lips pulled back into an animalistic snarl, his teeth gritted and clenched as he began to spin through the air, his blades flashing in a metal blur as they came into contact with the titans back.
The moment Levi got in range of the titans flesh ruby blood flew through the air, Levi’s rage evident as he shredded the Titan to pieces bits of steaming flesh crashing through the trees, Levi’s enraged yells echoing into the forest as he shifted his body, his gas pushing him faster across the titans back and great plumes if steam billowing into the air as Levi sliced the nape of the neck.
Finally finding your voice you shrieked as the grip around you loosened and you felt yourself slip out the titans fingers, your body once again falling to the ground as the Titan’s body collapsed over you, your form being chased by the deceased titans body as it fell after you. Once you hit the ground, if you survived, you would be crushed by the Titan corpse you hadn’t escaped the threat of death yet. You tensed your body, your heart like a humming birds wings in your chest as you plummeted.
“Nrrgh.” Levi grunted as his cables dig into a new tree opposite from where you are falling, the metal wires zooming past you and he zooms towards you his arms outstretched and wrapping around your body.
You gasp as you are slammed into his firm chest, he carried you bridal style through the air and as the terror subsides you wrap your arms around his neck, burying your nose into his chest as sobs watch your body inhaling his warm scent.
Levi steals a glance down at you in his arms, you hide your face into his chest and he tightens his grip around you, his own anxiety and fear still shaking in his mind. He pressed a reassuring kiss to your forehead as you cried into his shoulder, his ebony hair whipping into his eyes as he neared the tree.
As gently as possible he landed on the side of the tree, bending his legs to allow you a perch to suspend your body on, he stays suspended against the tree and allows you to continue to cry into his shoulder, his calloused hands running soothing circles in your back with one arm looping around your slim waist as he presses his lips continuously against your temple.
“It’s ok, you’re ok.” he whispers in a voice so gentle it’s unbelievable it’s his, you don’t say anything but let out all your pre experienced fear out in the form of tears.
Levi pulls you closer to his chest resting his sharp chin on your shoulder as he continues to whisper words of comfort into your ear. His thighs under your behind as he keeps his feet planted against the tree, his breathes falling ain’t your skin as the adrenaline and shock ebbs away.
“Levi I-“ you whisper pulling your face out from his chest to stare up at him.
He only stared back but you could see the rage from before had ebbed away, his blood stained face shimmering with steam as the Titan blood evaporated from his pale skin. His eyes sparkling with unfallen tears as he held you tighter into his body, swallowing loudly as he nuzzled his nose into your hair.
“It’s ok. I’m here now.” he muttered reaching a hand up to grasp the back of your head, his fingers lacing in your hair as he pulled your head back toward his chest, your cheek pushed into his firm pectoral as he rested his chin on top of your hair a tear sliding from under his closed eyes.
“I thought I was going to d-die.” you whimpered.
“I got you brat.” Levi sighed his mind trying to ease his tense body, he had seen you almost being eaten, almost devoured like everyone else he loved and the anger that had built up in his body and soul had been overwhelming. His only thought had been to save the woman he loved, to pull you from death.
“You came.” you breathed into his shirt “you saved me.”
“Tch. Of course I did. I’ll always save you (y/n).”
“Please Levi please, don’t leave me again.”
The breath hitches in Levi’s throat. He had never seen you so vulnerable before, your usual playful and tough exterior stripped back from the nerve shattering experience. His heart almost breaking in his chest as you begged him to stay with you, his grip on your hair growing tighter once again pressing more light kisses to your hair.
“I swear. I’ll never leave you, I’m here. I love you ok? I won’t let anything happen to you.”
You nod wiping your eyes dry and pressing your face into the fabric of his shirt to dry them more, Levi didn’t seem to care his only concern was your well being at the moment. If you got snot on his shirt he wouldn’t mind, that was how much he loved you.
You sniffled once more and regained your composure, the aches and sharp pains returning to your dislocated arm causing you to moan in pain. Levi’s brow furrowed as he allowed you slip from his grip to lean back into the tree, he glanced down to see you clutching your sore arm.
“What’s wrong? Are you hurt?” Levi asked, a new found concern in his voice as he raised a hand to touch your shoulder and you allowed him, sucking in a breath as his fingers brushed the joint that had popped from its socket.
“It’s dislocated.” you say wincing as he grips his in his hand.
“Sorry.” he mumbles his grip not lifting and you know what he’s going to do, he stared you in the eyes as if asking permission and you bite your lip nodding “this is going to hurt, ok? On three.”
“On three.” you repeat and Levi nods as he shifts your arm slightly pain slicing through you again.
“One...two.”
You yell in agony as Levi jerks your arm up and pushes against it, a loud pop resonated from your joint as the bone was pushed back into the socket, the pain ripping through you in pulsing waves and you hiss gritting your teeth slamming a fist into Levi’s shoulder. He lets you take your discomfort out on him and your fist connects to his shoulder to grip the fabric of his cape as the pain sears.
“You said on three you dick.” you moan rubbing your arm glaring as Levi gives you a small smirk.
“It’s fixed isn’t it?” he drawls ruffling your hair, you stick your tongue out at him.
“That’s not the point. There’s an element of trust.” you grumble and Levi huffs, leaning in to rub his nose into your cheek in a rare moment of affection.
Levi didn’t know how long he had stayed with you pressed up against the tree, the Titan carcass rotting in the floor below with his arms wrappers around your trembling form. He knew he had new r been so scared in his entire life, to see you so close to death made him realise how much he cared for you and how far he would go to save you every time you needed him to.
Yeager would be getting stable duty until the sweet release of death.

Levi Ackerman x Reader
This is my first post so I’m sorry if I’ve formatted this wrong or something I’m still learning the ropes. I figured my first fic would be about Levi Ackerman cause he’s hot and I’m kind of obsessed with him rn. I won’t post things sometimes cause I have college (UK version), sport clubs and work sooo some updates might be slow. Anyways please enjoy I don’t mind constructive criticism (although I’d rather you didn’t because I do this for fun and it would kind of take some of the joy from it, but if you think you could help me improve then please let me know) but I beg no rude comments this is for fun cause I love writing.
Summary: You’ve been missing for three weeks outside of the wall on an expedition that went bad. Very bad. It’s a surprise to everyone when you turn up outside the wall still alive and critically wounded
Warnings: slight angst, violence, swearing, mild graphic descriptions of injury, Levi having a mild tea relapse
Also this story is long so be prepared
Disclaimer: I don’t own Attack on Titan or any of its characters (but it would be amazing if I did), I also don’t own you (obviously) or the gif below

Holding On
Levi sat in his office.
It was dimly lit with candles that flickered in their bronze stands, his reports all stacked neatly to one side to be dealt with later. The rain outside hammering down on the office window like tears the heavens sent their grief and misery onto the unsuspecting world below. The tiny beads of crystal water rolling down the cool glass and sliding to the ground where scouts rushed to get inside, the sky a haunting grey thick with dismal clouds, not allowing the sun any chance to warm the faces of the shivering people.
Levi couldn’t care less about his subordinates rushing past his door to get to the fire places to warm their frozen hands. Instead he took pleasure in drumming his fingers on the polished wood of his desk, the rhythm the only noise he could hear as his fingers continued to move up and down. His chin rested on his other hand, the elbow propped up on the arm rest of his chair, jaw set firmly in a grimace as his mind continued to unrestlessly ponder over the one thing that had consumed his for the last three weeks.
Where where you?
He’d be damned if he said you were dead. Your body left for those brutes, the Titans, to feast on. No you weren’t dead. You had been one of the best cadets he had ever seen although he would never admit it, and you were capable of taking care of yourself. You always had been. But still... the training he provided could only offer so much compared to what actually lay outside the walls. The wooden cut outs of those lumbering beasts was child’s play when up against their actual counterparts.
Three weeks alone outside was a death sentence to almost anyone, even the best of the best could not go that long. ODM gear needed gas to work, how could anyone go three weeks on one canister? Not to mention blades, only equipped with so many and they broke so often...with these facts it seemed almost too likely you were dead.
Levi squeezed his eyes shut briefly, the drumming on the desk intensified as the grip on his chin tightened. No. He refused to believe it until he was given proof. Being unrealistic was not in his nature, but when it came to the woman he loved he was prepared to go as far as believe the impossible. He had a girlfriend, many had conceived that that in itself was impossible, but alas they were proven wrong, they would be proven wrong again.
Still it was hard to ignore the whispers, the rumours and the looks of sympathy he recieved from the other scouts. That you were dead. That you had been lost with your squadron and were never coming back, that his denial was foolish. He would only glare and the whispers would stop, but it would get to him. It always did.
He had so little in this world that he cared for. To have his lover ripped from him as well was more then he could handle, he didn’t want to be alone in the coldness and disparity of what the universe had left to offer him. His life had been no joy ride the only thing that made it worth living was knowing you were in it with him.
It never helped that Erwin was so persistent in trying to get him to sign you off as deceased. The commander begging Levi to look at the facts and have you officially written off, Levi made a small ‘tch’ noise at the thought of his commander pushing him to sign his girlfriend’s death certificate. Bastards. The lot of them.
Standing from his chair he paced over to the window, his half lidded eyes reflected in the thoroughly cleaned glass, the splashes of raindrops mirroring where tears should be falling from his eyes. He wouldn’t cry. He refused to cry over someone who was still alive. He knew that if he cried it would become real, he needed to hang on to the hope that you were coming home, that you would be in his arms again. If he showed weakness, if he bowed to his anxiety and fears it would consume him. He would not allow it.
His thoughts were ripped from him when he heard a knock on his door. He stayed perfectly still, his eyes shifting to where the oak door stood. He really did not want company right now. He didn’t even feel like drinking tea which was serious in his case. Growling to himself he dragged the green velvet curtain across the window to hide the misery of the outside world before seating himself back in his chair.
“Name and business.” he drawled.
“Levi?” a voice called out, it took all his strength not to roll his eyes “it’s me.”
“What is it Hange?” he grumbled.
“I bought you some tea.” she said, her tone missing it’s usual spark and insanity.
“Not interested, now go away I have paperwork.” he replied pinching the bridge of his nose trying to hold his frustration, he knew she was hurting too, he didn’t want to snap he wasn’t in the mood. He knew why she was really here. He hadn’t spoken to anyone apart from Erwin for weeks. Hange would understand his wanted space but only for a certain amount of time before she felt like she needed to intervene. He didn’t want to be told he was being stupid for believing you were alive, because he already knew it.
“Please Levi, I need to talk to you.” Hange pleaded from the other side of the door “I’m worried about you.”
“Don’t be.” he growled “I don’t need your pity.”
“Please?”
“I said no. Goddammit. Just leave me alone Four eyes.” he snapped, his free hand banging against the desk causing the picture frame on it to wobble and fall.
There was a brief silence and Levi selfishly hoped Hange had accepted defeat and walked away. But he knew her better then that. She was friends with you for a reason: you were both annoyingly stubborn.
“(Y/n) was my friend too. You don’t think I’m not ok?”
Lifting his head from his hand he stared at the door where the Section Commander stood behind. He could imagine her standing pathetically outside, a cup of tea in her hands and tears rolling down her freckled face. He glanced over at the fallen frame and reached forward to pick it up, the drawing on the other side causing his heart to skip beats, the breath hitching in in his throat forming a lump.
(a/n idk if they have photos in AOT but just imagine it was taken by those old fashioned ones that seems to fit)
It was a photo taken on your first date. Hange had found an old camera, or so they had called it in the old days, and had decided to capture the moment. Levi could be seen yelling at Hange to stop as (y/n) hid behind the collar of her jacket, the picture was fuzzy and in black and white, but it was a memory that still stayed clear in his head. If he was lucky he would dream about that night, but only in the occasion he actually went to sleep. Levi felt a small yet sad smile work it’s way onto his face as he could recall the fun he had that evening and the many more that came. Maybe...would never come again.
Hange had been one of your best friends. The two of you inseparable, he had realised that she was part of the package deal that came with dating you, although it was a small price to pay if it meant he could wake up to you beside him every morning. He knew you would be angry with him if he let Hange suffer by herself, he had an obligation to Hange for you. Otherwise he would never endure her alone. It’s what you would want. No. No past tense talk. You weren’t dead.
Pushing the thought to the back of his mind he placed the photo onto his desk and stood up from his chair once again, his legs carrying him over to the door before unlocking it and revealing the puffy, red face of Hange. The brunette was a mess, bits of hair falling out of her ponytail into her face, her jacket zipper not done up properly and her goggles swung around her neck. Levi stared at her, his expression unamused as she pushed her way in and placed herself on the leather sofa.
Levi watched her, his hand still resting on the bronze door handle before sighing and closing it shut behind him, returning to his desk chair he chose to not look at her before elegantly placing him self back into it. Hange pulled some tissues from her sleeve and blew her nose, causing Levi to scruch up his own in response. He had cleaned this office every day you had been missing to relive his mind from the stress, he didn’t it want it to be cluttered with Hange’s snot filled rags. He reached down and slid a small waste basket across the floor where it stopped by her feet. He might be distraught over you but that was no reason he would stop being hygienic. Not yet.
“I thought you said you had tea.” he said dryly, she smiled weakly and dabbed her eyes.
“I lied. I didn’t think you’d let me in if I didn’t have any.” she answers her voice thick with snot.
“What did you plan to do if I had wanted the tea?” he asked exasperated.
“Umm...I- I hadn’t thought that far through.” she muttered tossing the slimy tissue into the bin more snot and tears running down her cheeks.
“Tch.” Levi scoffed rolling his eyes and grabbing the tissues from his desk throwing them at Hange, they proceeded to hit her in the head and roll into her lap “at least try to look respectable while covered in your own filth.”
“I just miss her so much...” she bawled, Levi watched her carefully, his heart aching as much as hers but in a less dramatic and disgusting way.
“She’s coming back Hange.” Levi replied glancing back at the photo, his eyes softening ever so slightly “she’s still out there. It’s just a matter of time.”
“Her mission was only supposed to take three days max...she’s been gone much longer...” Hange snivelled, her breathing irregular and loud “we sent multiple search parties by your request and still didn’t find anything.”
“They just didn’t look hard enough.” Levi argued turning away from her.
“Levi...they searched as far as they could.”
“That’s not good enough.” he growled, his fists clenching “if Erwin had let me search too we would have found her...the stupid brat...she can take care of herself alright.”
“I know she can Levi...” Hange answered beginning to calm down, her nose red and eyes swollen as she pulled out another tissue, Levi raised a brow slightly as he turned back to face her rubbing his face with his hand “you taught her well. But, there’s a point when...w-when training just isn’t enough.”
Her voice cracked as another wave of water works over came her, her doe brown eyes brimming with salty tears again grabbing another tissue. Levi countied to watch her, his mind to numb to notice the mess she was making on his leather sofa as she tried to clean it off by rubbing it with her hand only making it worse, she quickly sat infront if it before Levi could notice.
Even Hange, the optimist, believed you were dead. He refused to look at her sorry state, he couldn’t understand why Hange would turn her back on you, one of her best friends. He wasn’t ready to give up hope yet.
“You’re wrong Hange,” he said plainly, she glanced up at him pulling the damp tissue away from her face “(y/n) is alive. You’re failure to continue believing that is pathetic. No other brat has her experience, experience outranks skill and any amount of training. If she doesn’t survive this no one can, not even me. I’m not going to believe she’s dead because we both know she’s not, you just refuse to see past that. You can either sit here snivelling and continue crying like a damned child, or you can grow the hell up. Either way it’s no bother to me, so long as you stop blubbering and telling me she’s gone.”
Hange stated at him, her lip quivering as she held her hands below her face in fists, her body shaking slightly as his harsh and cold tone pierced her wall of self pity and grief. Her fingers shakily pushing her glasses up her nose and pulling the stands of her hair back into place, correcting her zipper and blowing her nose one last time. Deep, deep down she knew Levi was just as broken as her, just as distraught and worried. The man hadn’t slept more then two hours a night at best, she knew he was hurting, he just showed it in his own Levi way: to bottle it up. She wouldn’t play into his fantasy, sure she would help him however he needed, but to continue the facade was going to get him nowhere. Levi needed to let go. She had to tell him now or she never would. She knew she would break his spirit completely, but Erwin had told her to tell Levi, even if it sent the Corporal into a fit of anger.
“Levi...” she whispered, raising her head to meet his steely gaze “the papers were signed an hour ago. She’s legally proclaimed dead.”
His heart froze. His face expressionless. Hange felt scared more then she ever had been. No Titan could ever instill fear like the stiffness and sudden silence of the Corporal. He eye twitching and his icy glare hardened.
No.
No.
No.
No.
It couldn’t be. He hadn’t even filed the report for that, as (y/n)’a direct superior he was the only one who could green light the authorisation. Erwin needed his signature too to warrant her death certificate. He tried to breath, was he breathing? No he didn’t think he was. There wasn’t any air. He slammed his fists down onto the table again causing Hange to jump violently as Levi grabbed his quill ink and launched it across the room, the onyx liquid crashing to the floor sending streaks of it across the walls and floors. He leaned into his hands, tears leaking down his pale cheeks, the droplets landing on his shiny desk as he silently wept.
“Erwin had your authority on it overruled by an official.” Hange continued her voice catching in her throat “she was declared dead an hour ago.”
Levi has stopped listening, his mind no longer functioning properly. His head was light, like he was on morphine, the world didn’t feel real. He was dreaming he had to be, this wasn’t real, it was all one bad dream he would wake soon to find you next to him. He would hear you laugh as he grumbled a good morning, he would smell your shampoo on his bedsheets, he would get to run his fingers through your (h/c) hair again. He would get to wrap his arms around your slim hips and steal secret kisses again and again for the rest of his life.
The tears wouldn’t stop. He couldn’t make them. He wasn’t in control.
“He can’t do that...” he growled wiping his eyes dry, standing uprubtly he grabbed his cloak from the coat hanger and placed it over his shoulders, Hange stood too.
“Where is he?”
“Levi don’t...”
“If you don’t tell me where the fuck he is Four eyes I will see to it that your head is removed from your fucking shoulders.” he barked his reserved persona dissipating. Hange’s eyes quivered as she watched the Corporal’s eyes flash with seething white anger.
“Helping on Wall Maria...surveying the outside...east from here.” she stammered her nerves shot, Levi nodded.
“What are you gonna do?” she asked hoarsely.
Levi opened the door before glancing back at her, his grey eyes holding danger beneath their stormy exterior.l before exiting his office slamming the heavy door behind him. Rushing down the corridor pulling the emerald hood over his raven hair he made his way to the stables to ready his horse.
...
Levi landed on top of Wall Maria pulling the grappling hooks from the old stone wall as he did, causing the scouts around him to jump. Their once bright green cloaks turned an unflattering dark fern as the onslought of rain hounded the freezing humans. They saluted once they recognised who he was, he ignored them, his eyes locked on the tall blonde man before him staring through a pair of binoculars. Pushing his way past the scouts he made his way over, fighting the vicious winds that pulled him back.
“You bastard!” he yelled over the rain, Erwin turned to face the small man, his expression falling into one of distress as he saw his friend march over.
“Corporal, you’re not supposed to be here.” Erwin replied, Levi growled.
“And you’re not supposed to sign her fucking death warrant!” he yelled back, Erwin visibly flinched his eyes glazing over with a dull sadness before he turned away raising the binoculars to his eyes once again.
“It was the best decision, we couldn’t leave an open case.” Erwin responded as Levi cast his eyes to the outside the rain and fog too heavy to see more then five hundreds meters “she’s dead Ackerman. Accept it.”
Whether it was the abhorrent weather or the grief that had torn him apart, maybe it was the slight insomnia, maybe even the admitted tea relapse, Levi didn’t know what he was doing until he had done it. Erwin was sent flying across the ground, Levi’s fist out in front of him his breathing laboured and strained. He watched as Erwin tumbled dangerously close to the edge of the wall, his scouts coming forward to help him stand. The Commander’s face smeared in thick blood, his nose bent at an unnatural angle, the rain washing away any fallen drops of sticky scarlet liquid.
Levi stood straight pulling his arm back under his cloak, his hood having been blown back, his dark hair beginning to be quickly drenched by the rain, the wind howling in protest as it was pushed into high speeds. The scouts helping Erwin up shot Levi curious looks before resuming post. Erwin glowered at his Corporal who stood grounded, his stance passive his back hunched slightly as his shoulders dropped in defeat. It was then Erwin noticed the tears that ran down his friends face.
In the rain it was easy to overlook, but Erwin knew. He could see the tears run down his cheeks and land on the floor, any hostility was swept away as the two men stood opposite each other. The wind billowing through their cloaks, pressing unwanted kisses into their frozen skin, Levi’s fingers curled into fists as he continued to stare at the floor, he raised a hand to his face still covered in blood and wiped it across his cheek smearing himself in Erwin’s blood.
Erwin could only watch. Humanity’s strongest broken before him. Nothing but a man crying for the loss of his loved one. Levi would think he was being weak. Erwin had seen men cry over much less, to see Levi condemned to tears was humbling.
Levi has lost more in under half his life span then anyone person lost in their entirety. Levi has been dealt bad hands since he could walk, the world had left him one good thing to savour, to protect and cherish and just as quickly as it had given it to him, it had taken back. Levi was not weak. It took years of torture before he would ever breakdown, and it seemed that he could no longer bare the weight.
He truly felt he had nothing left to live for.
Erwin’s heart beat faster in his ribs as he watched the stoic man cry and before Levi could protest he was engulfed in an embrace.
He gasped as Erwin pulled him close into his body, the small man too stunned to do anything. He didn’t have the strength to pull away, he didn’t have the willpower. There was no point in fighting the affection no matter how little he wanted it. There was nothing left to do but cry. It was over. She was legally proclaimed dead and despite his stubborness, despite him always believing she was alive, everyone else would speak in past tense about her, they would speak like she were deceased, they would mourn if they already hadn’t, they would give her a headstone, they would truly believe she was gone.
“I loved her...” Levi whispered his voice breaking, his arms by his side as Erwin held him tightly.
“I know.” the commmader replied “I know.”
“Commander!”
A voice tore its way through the wind reaching the ears of the two men who ripped away from each other. The scout who had shouted was pointing to something beyond the wall.
“What is it? Titans?” he yelled back brining his own binoculars up to his face. Levi turned away, his mind to strained to care about what was happening, his hands brushed over the hilts of his swords, his eyes dull and lifeless as he glanced back to Erwin getting ready to return to his horse below.
“Corporal! What do you make of this?” a scout yelled to him, sighing Levi turned around to see the entire group staring out at a dark shape making its way slowly towards the wall. Curious, Levi walked up to the edge beside Erwin who handed him his binoculars, Levi stared at them.
“It’s got to be a Titan!”
“No it’s too small and slow!”
“What else could it be?”
“I don’t know but I’ve never seen a titan move like that, it’s too elegant!”
“It looks...it looks like a horse!”
“There’s someone on it!”
Without hesitation Levi snatched the binoculars from Erwin’s hand and placed them over his own eyes. Looking down to where the others were he could see the unmistakable shape of a horse walking slowly toward the wall, ontop of it was a cloaked figure, the fabric torn and stained in what appeared to be blood. Locks of (h/c) hair were flying out from underneath, the figure slumped in the saddle slightly, one hand steering the horse the other clutching their left side.
“It’s a scout!”
“Can you see who?”
“Not yet.”
Levi felt his heart beat faster, the air suddenly drowning him as a new wave of hope and adrenaline rushed through his veins. He continued to stare through the binoculars as tb figure got closer, it was becoming clearer now. The horse a dapple grey, the rider...the riders hood had fallen back...
“It’s Captain (y/l/n)!”
“She’s alive?”
“Holy shit.”
A strained gasp escaped his lips as he shoved the binoculars back into Erwin’s hands.
“Get those damn gates open now!” Levi yelled is voice echoing into the endless hills around, the scouts jumped to work rushing towards the gates to open them.
Levi could only keep his eyes on your figure as it came closer, the horse picking up stamina as he saw he was nearly home. Levi could see you much clearer now, you were hunched over yourself clutching a great bloody mass seeping though your dirtied white shirt, your scout jacket caked in layers of blood and filth. Your hair a tangled mess as it blew across your face, the wind pushing harder almost causing you to tumble to the ground, clutching the reins tighter you mustered one last kick to your horse’s sides as he picked up the pace.
You glanced up, your joints creaking in protest as your tiered eyes caught sight of the blurred figures standing on the wall. Home. You were back home. Tensing slightly as another gust of violent wind tried to pull you away, you clenched your jaw in pain as your shivering hands tried to put pressure on the huge hole in your side, the blood warm and sticky as it seeped through your shirt, staining your horses grey coat in red.
Your body numb from the cold, your fingertips tinted an ugly purple colour, your joints crying in pain to stop, to just give up. You glanced back at your side where you could see muscle tissue peaking out, the skin torn and shredded where a Titan had tried to devour you just twenty minutes ago. If you move your fingers slightly you could feel whatvfelt like an organ. Your ribs broken and your left toe dislocated. You probably had more injuries that were invisible to the untrained eye, huge black bruises littered your body and your mind was all but shut down.
Your horse made it closer to the gate which was now up, the wall inviting you in closer to the security of your home. Levi was waiting on the other side of that wall. He was probably worried sick, you hated the idea of him not eating or sleeping over you. But you didn’t have time to ponder about your boyfriend’s lack of self care over you, you already knew he would be angry with you. He’ll never let you out of his sight again, he would berate you, tell you the torture you put him through was Hell and then some. You could already hear his voice, you could already feel his warm lips pressed against you own, you could already smell the lemon and mint on his breath. If you were going for die...you would die thinking of him.
Your horse entered the wall, the creaking chains behind you wailing as the gate was promptly ceadled shut. All you could hear was the shouts of voices, the sounds all merging together into a high pitched ringing, you glanced around trying to make sense of what was happening as a sea of green cloaks billowed around you, your head swimming. You could make out a tall blonde shouting orders as everyone rushed around, looking up you could see supply kits being passed around, someone grabbed your horse. You felt a flood of heat make its way through your stomach, a thickness in your throat before leaning forward and coughing blood onto a scout below you, the taste of rust in your mouth as blood dripped from your cracked lips.
“Sorry,” you whispered to the scout now covered in your blood, before a final wave of exhaustion washed through you, your hand that had gripped the reins so tightly finally ceasing their hold and your feet dropping from the stirrups, you fell from your horse into a pair of strong arms.
Glancing up through half closed eyes you caught a blurred glimpse of steely grey eyes, the owner barking orders at the flurry of scouts as he began to walk you away from the commotion. He was saying something but you couldn’t hear him, his voice just a series of low pitched sound as he held you tightly to his firm chest, his arms secured around you promising to never let you fall.
Then everything faded into black.
...
Pain.
That was all you felt. A dull ache radiating throughout your bones, your joints stiff and unbending, your muscles twitching and cramping at the slightest movement. Breathing was laboured, your chest stung at every push and pull of your lungs, the air in your nose and mouth raspy as you fought for the right to breath. Your eyelids were heavy as you tried to force them open, screaming to be closed a few minutes longer. Gathering the last ounce of strength you pushed them open to be greeted by the wooden ceiling of the infirmary, the white hospital sheets around your body preventing you from seeing any of the damage inflicted on your body.
Groaning in agony your bit your lip to prevent a scream was you tried to sit up, bandages covering against every part below your neck to your waist. A faint red stain could be seen on the side and you wondered what resided beneath? Perhaps an ugly scar. You squeezed your eyes shut at the thought as you tried to push it from your mind. You breathlessly leaned your head against the headboard, looking around to see that curtains had been drawn around you to give you privacy. You weren’t going to lie you were grateful they had considered that you wouldn’t want to be seen like this.
The incredible Captain (y/l/n) laying weakened and alsmot dying in the infirmary. What would your squad say? That was when it hit you. They couldn’t say anything. Not anymore. The visions of them being desimated by the titans still ran clear in your mind like an endless river of nightmares. You shuddered violently causing another surge of pain to crash into your system. You brought a hand up to rake through your now washed and detangled hair but found it was caught in a vice like grip.
Glancing down you felt your body relax ever so slightly. Your mind stopped the galavanting thoughts that plagued your mind and slowed, allowing you to take in everything at once. And by everything you meant the man in the chair who’s hand was tightly wrapped around yours.
Levi was leant back in a chair beside your bed, one hand propping his chin up and the other still desperately clutching your own. He was so peaceful, his usual frown and stoic expressions wiped clean, his face just relaxed as he snored lightly, his ebony hair falling over his closed eyes as his chest would rise and fall. You watched him. Your eyes never wanting to take themselves away. The rest of the world falling away as the both of you were left to your own heaven as your eyes bored into his sleeping form, he was here. He was here, sat beside you holding your hand.
It took all your strength not to wake him up, to be joined by his company. But you knew it was probably the first time he had slept in a long while, you had done that to him so you would let him sleep. It was the least you owed him and besides, you were perfectly content watching him sleep. Three weeks you had been surviving the outside world, only your horse for company and you supposed the Titans would count as some form of company, if company meant being seen as an appetiser. You shuddered violently at the memory of being in the trees, trying to sleep as the titans below tried to reach up and climb the smooth bark. You had cited more times in the past three weeks then you had in your entire lifetime, the weather had not been kind either, your fingers almost shattering from the icy temperatures. Food had been impossible to find, you had even considered eating your horse at some points, but he had been loyal and was your only escape from Titans.
You felt your hand grip Levi’s tighter as the horrors came flooding back. The screams of your team mates the feeling of being alone, the world hopeless and against you. You had some nights where you had dreamt you were back in HQ, in Levi’s arms or eating lunch with Hange, or helping Petra with the horses. You had dreamt of the security and family you thought you would never see again. Everyday had been hell. You had been to hell. You had seen hell. You didn’t know if you would ever be prepared to step foot out there again.
“Ah, you’re awake finally.”
Jolting from your thoughts you glanced up to see the nurse, her long white skirts covered in small splayterings of blood, her ginger hair pinned under a nurse cap. She held the curtains back in one hand, a warm smile on her face as she clutched a food tray in her other arm. She set the tray down on the bedside table and closed the curtain again before returning to your side. Another nurse entered behind her, a much younger one with brown hair and bright green eyes.
“You’re awake!” she exclaimed quite loudly causing you to cringe your head still sore “oh sorry, I’ll go and get the Commander!”
You assumedshe was a trainee nurse as she left in a flurry of feet and exited the med wing. The ginger nurse turned back to you a smile on her face.
“Dislocated toes, broken ribs, multiple bruising not to mention slight frost bite and a concussion. You’re a trooper.” she said warmly her brown eyes dimming slightly when she saw that you were not smiling, clearing her throat she continued “the left side of your torso has some serious injury, the stitches can only do so much to hold some of your organs in, the skin will heal by itself but it will leave permanent scarring.”
“What else is new?” you asked pointing to multiple scars that already littered your body from years of training gone wrong and fighting, earning a small chuckle from the nurse as she stepped forward.
“How are we feeling?” she asked softly as she gently took your arms in hers checking your pulse “your pulse is much stronger, it was hardly beating when you came to us.”
You nodded, your head still slightly fuzzy, your eyes glancing over to Levi who still hadn’t stirred. He must have been tiered if he hadn’t woken up at the nurse’s intrusion. You glanced back up to meet her eyes and you could see the warmth in them as she pulled a stethoscope from her apron pocket and leant over you, pressing the cool metal to your chest.
“He’s been here the whole time.” she said softly “he refused to leave your side, it took five men to try and stop him and let the doctors work and even that didn’t prevent him. He must really care for you.”
“Yeah,” you breathed letting your thumb rub against the back of his hand, your heart flittering and the first real warmth you felt for a while spread through you body “what-what happened?”
“It’s quite a story. From what I heard the moment you got into the wall you collapsed from your horse into his arms,” the nurse said glancing up from her report files to where Levi was still sleeping “he stormed the corridors with you clutched tightly in his arms, he was yelling at anyone who got in his way, it was very frightening. He demanded certain medics and he wouldn’t let any of your friends get too close in case the stitches tore or incase they woke you up. You’re a lucky girl, the Corporal doesn’t let many people get close to him but you already know that. He must have been an absolute mess about you.”
“Levi doesn’t stoop to that point, he’s always so collected,” you whispered never letting your eyes off him “He’ll only ever show you what he wants you to see, he’s strong like that.”
The nurse nodded gently as she put her files away and took your aching arm into her warm hands as she began to remove the bandages, you released a subtle gasp and hiss as a jolt of pain was sent surging through your body. Instinctively you pushed her away and you saw Levi stir slightly as you placed a hand over where the pain had come from, a few tears squeaking out your eyes as your side continued to throb.
“Shit, I’m-I’m sorry I...” you panted tensing as another wave of pain coarsed through you.
“I-I’ll get more morphine...we can leave those on for now.” she said calmly as she turned on her heal and left.
“Shit...” you heaved again leaning back into the pillows, the feathers that lined the inside crunching slightly as you rested your head back, the pain ebbing away.
“Don’t you ever do anything like that again brat,”
“You’re awake?”
“I haven’t slept properly since the day I was born, it’s not about to start now.” Levi drawled as he stared at you from where he was sat in his chair, you smiled softly.
“I-I’m sorry Levi...before you tell me how much pain I put you through I’m sorry I-“
“Save it.” he partially snapped causing you to close your mouth as he stood up from his chair “I don’t want to hear an apology. As far as I see it you don’t owe one. I never lost my faith in you, I never once believed you were gone, I wouldn’t let anyone else believe it either. I owe you a thank you for coming back. For coming back to me.”
You stared up at him frozen slightly. You watched as he perched himself on the bed beside you, he reached forward gently grabbing your hair in a fist as he lowered himself down, his nose centimetres from yours, his minty breath hot against your skin, his eyes no longer malicious and cold but filled with the presence of unfallen tears. He leaned in pressing his lips to yours, you didn’t object as you raised a hand up to run over the shaven part of his hair until your fingers became tangled in his thick raven hair.
His body pressing gently into your own as his grasp on your hair loosened and he brought it down to the back of your neck as he pushed your lips closer into his, you let your other hand run up his arm, the material of his white shirt creasing beneath your long fingers to let you feel the firm yet lean muscle beneath.
Gently Levi, pulled away pressing his forehead to yours, his hand holding your head up. He eventually brought his lips up to press against your forehead before pressing his forehead back into yours, his hands gentle with you. You glanced down at the bed sheets where a small damp spot stared back at you, then another and another . The drops falling onto the cotton sheets making small ‘plap’ sounds. Glancing up you felt your heart ache and lurch in distress when you saw him, his face looking down, hidden behind a curtain of hair, his breathing irregular and body trembling, small droplets running from his cheeks onto the bed.
“Levi?”
He looked up, the tears streaming down his face in such an uncharacteristic way you had to double take that you were sure it was him. But it was, his eyes brimming with tears that continued to pour, his face still as expressionless as ever but his eyes telling you all you needed to know. He was letting all his pent up grief and anger out. For the last time.
“Levi...please don’t- don’t cry,” you whispered reaching forward to grasp his hands wiping the tears from his face, you had never seen him like this, it was honestly frightening “I’m ok...I’m alive.”
“They signed your damn death certificate.” he answered his voice not even wavering the tears beginning to slow as he let the last few roll onto the bed taking your hands in his own “you were pronounced dead legally. I was so powerless. I hate that feeling. I couldn’t come to find you, I was the most lost I’d ever felt. What if I never got to see your stupid, beautiful fucking face ever again? You can’t do that to me (y/n), you can’t leave me alone on this world. I don’t have anyone else.”
You bit your lip. You had only ever seen him this vulnerable a few times in his life. It took him years before he felt comfortable enough to show the sensitive and human side of him. He would only ever show you what he wanted you to see, he wanted you to see this side of him, he allowed it to happen and that was a privilege very few got to see. You grasped his hand in your own and raised it to your chest, his eyes watching as you placed it down over the bandages that covered your torso. Clasping both hands over his you let his hand rest there, his eyes never leaving your hands.
“Feel that Levi. Feel my heart beat,” you whispered his eyes softened ever so slightly it was almost invisible, but he could. He could feel the steady beat of your heart below “I’m alive, I’m here. I won’t ever leave you. I will always come back to you.”
He was quiet. Just taking in the steady pulse below his palm, his eyes closing briefly as he began to calm himself his eyes falling back into their natural bored expression, although a small smile rested on his face.
“I was angry at you. At Erwin, at your squad, at the world.” he sighed looking up at you “but mostly myself.”
“Don’t be. The only reason I survived so long out there was because of your training. You always say nothing instills discipline like pain. Your intense, albeit ruthless, training taught me to endure whatever the world threw at me. But most importantly I couldn’t die without seeing you again. You may not know it Levi, but you saved me. Don’t ever think for a moment you should hate yourself for it.”
He didn’t say anything. Instead he nodded curtly before leaning in for another kiss, you smiled into it as he once again buried his lips against yours, a subtle moan coming from him as you ran your hand over his thigh, his own hands gently wrapping around your back, careful to avoid the stitches but you wouldn’t have cared about any pain. His kiss was all the morphine you would ever need.
“Woah cool it you guys you don’t want to send the whole med wing into flames.”
Levi growled lowly at the voice gently pulling away to turn and glare at the group that stood behind him, his grip around your back tightened ever so slightly as Hange, Erwin and Levi’s own squad joined you. A small smile on your face at the sight of your friends, Hange squealed loudly and lunged towards you a cry of protest coming from the group to remind about the stiches but before she could embrace me in a crippling hug, Levi had stood up and reached across the bed, he yanked her back by the collar of her jacket causing her to stumble back into Gunther who caught her. Levi stayed standing beside you shoving his hands into his pockets.
“Be careful four eyes.” he said a hint of aggression in his dull tone as the brunette straightened her glasses glaring at him “otherwise you’ll be the one in the hospital bed.”
“Zip it doom and gloom,” she snapped back as she walked over again in a more controlled manner before wrapping her arms gently around you, giving you a gentle squeeze.
“It’s good to see you (y/n),” Eld said warmly as the rest of the members of his squad nodded.
“We’re so glad your home,” Petra added clasping her hands together.
“Love you (y/n).” Oluo said folding his arms a smile in his face which was quickly wiped off from a cold look from Levi.
“Dude she’s Levi’s girl not yours.” Eld muttered to the other man who blushed a deep red.
“We know you like to pretend to be him but there’s got to be a line drawn somewhere.” Petra teased, Oluo’s face growing redder as he hissed at then to shut up.
“Thanks guys.” you said as Hange continued to smother you “I’m...I’m glad to be back.”
Hange pulled out of the hug pressing a sloppy kiss to your cheek as she continued to wipe tears from her face. Levi rolled his eyes when he saw that your cheek was now covered in her saliva and proceeded to pull a tissue out of his pocket and wipe it off, you felt a blush creep up on your cheeks.
“I’ve missed you so much...the world just wasn’t the same.” Hange gushed “I was so worried I...I even got snot on Levi’s sofa...”
“You what?” Levi said darkly causing Hange to shrink back and cower behind Erwin, you placed a hand in Levi’s arm and he relaxed slightly. He would get Hange to clean it up later.
“Did any of my squad come back?” you asked glancing around at the group, they all looked at the floor any humour in the atmosphere vanishing and a quiet “oh” left you lips.
“It’s ok (y/n), you have us.” Petra said a little too enthusiastically and you nodded your eyes glacing over as a heavy sadness came over you, your throat becoming strained as you tried to hold back the tears.
“None of them?” you asked your voice cracking as you sallowed a lump rising in your throat, your eyes beginning to feel scratchy. Levi placed a hand on your shoulder as you wrapped your arms around his waist pulling him in close to you, he leaned down to press a kiss to your hair.
“We gave them all a service.” Erwin said hoarsely “we just...we need to know what happened.”
“Erwin,” Levi drawled his voice low and warning “not now.”
“No it’s ok.” you breathed wiping your eyes and pulling your face away from Levi’s toned stomach “I don’t really know...w-we were heading back actually from the mission, the forests were so quiet. Not even a bird was singing. You know when you can just feel the trouble before it happens? Then they came for us. A whole hoard of them just running through the forest, it didn’t take them long to devour everyone, I led a small group of us through the thicker parts of the forest hoping to lose the titans, they couldn’t get through quick enough a-and...”
You swallowed loudly to stop another rush of tears as the others looked sympathetically towards you, Levi staring to the side his fist clenched tightly his jaw set firmly.
“Those woods go on for miles. The titans had me turned around and I’d lost my compass in the onslaught. I used the stars to navigate my way back, but I was already so far from home...the titans slowed me down too. My horse... is my horse ok?”
“Tch,” Levi scoffed quietly, of course you’d be worried about the damned horse even though you were lying here with critical injuries.
“He’s fine. He’s exhausted but he’ll be fine.” Erwin said and you nodded settling back into the pillows “(y/n) I want you to know that no one expects you to go back out there. You can train the cadets if you desire, or you can help with things around the walls. We will all understand.”
“No.” you said quickly “I became a scout to help keep humanity safe. I’m not going to stop now. I thought I would give up and die out there, if I can help protect people I will. Otherwise my squad died in vain.”
“(Y/n)...” Levi began but you cut him off, glaring up at him.
“I’m not giving up, I’m going to go back out there when I’m ready to. As soon as I get given the green light you’ll see me be the first on my horse. I don’t care what you say, I have to keep fighting. It’s something I’m not going to stop.”
You heard Levi sigh heavily through his nostrils, you knew there would be an argument about it later but for know he knew that you needed rest and little to no mental strain. You were positive he would try to stop you whether it be delaying your report for release or making you train longer then needed, you had no doubt Levi would have strong input in your decisions. If he did let you go you knew he would be damned if you went without him.
“Think about it.” Erwin said warmly, you nodded although you were sticking to your own mind.
“I have morphine and... oh my that’s a lot of people.” the nurse said as she returned, a tray of needles in her hands as she stepped through the crowd “I’m afraid I’m going to have to ask some of you to leave.”
“We understand,” Erwin said “let’s go.”
The others nodded and left uttering their goodbyes as Hange enveloped you in another hug, Levi having to pry her off to let the nurse near you and demanding she clean the snot from his sofa. Levi sat back down in his chair, the nurse threw him a look about to open her mouth but he promptly glared at her and she closed her mouth deciding that askin ghim to leave was out of the question. Asking for your arm as she raised the needle up and inserted it into your skin, a sharp pinch of pain and you felt the morphine inside squelch into your system as she dabbed a tissue over the spec of blood.
“What’s that one?” you asked as she raised another needle, Levi watched her carefully.
“It’s a sleeping drought,” she said softly “you’ve been asleep for forty eight hours, you need more rest.”
You nodded as she injected it into you before cleaning up and walking away. You lolled your head over to where Levi was still sat, your hand back on his as he watched you through half lidded eyes, his face just as straight and unsmiling as ever. His thumb rubbed the back of your hand as your head became less clouded, your eyelids growing heavier.
“You’ll be here when I wake up won’t you?” you asked lazily as the sleeping drug kicked in, your muscles becoming heavy as a wave of exhaustion waged over you.
“I have no where better to be.” Levi said dryly and you managed a small laugh.
“Hard ass.” you whispered as your eyes finally closed allowing your mind to be at ease for a few more hours but not before catching a glimpse of Levi smiling to himself and muttering:
“I love you brat. But if you ever die on me, I’ll make you lick my boots clean.”
You only rolled your eyes before falling into a deep sleep. Levi never left your side.
...
Done! Oh my god that was long I’m so sorry. If you made it this far thank you, I really hope you liked it. Ummm I suppose if you have any requests you can suggest them because I’m sure your imagination and simping for Levi are just as strong as mine. I can also do things for other characters and other tv shows like Avatar the last airbender or even Death Note or maybe your more of a Marvel or Star Wars kind of person? Idk. Suggest stuff and maybe I’ll write for it if I’m not busy with sports, college, work blah blah blah. Anyways thank you for reading it means a lot and if you want to hear about any more stuff I post then be sure to follow me, if not have a nice day. Ps they won’t all be this long and I’m sorry if it seemed rushed towards the end, my mind was like “let’s just finish this.” Also I was so nervous to post this

You had never been Underground before.
It was beautiful, in its own way. The city had its own glow to it, made up from yellows, blues, and greens. It was known that without lights, the city and its people would be covered in darkness. Something about the greens and blues hinted at that being a lie. That it wouldn’t have been completely dark below the surface.
You were snapped out of your thoughts when Erwin turned his head at the sound of cables slicing through the air, gas hissing, and the sound of an excited voice cheering, the echoes bouncing off the dirt and sentiment walls.
Erwin looked back at the three of you and the Military Police, the look on his face reading “that’s them.” It was after that moment, you began to understand the kind of reform Erwin was looking for and why Erwin had chosen these random Underground criminals as the example.
Well, maybe it wasn’t so random, knowing Erwin.
You carefully set aside the ODM gear retrieved from their beings, stepping to stand behind Erwin, yet in front of the three criminals. The light haired one locked his eyes on Erwin, though his face was thoughtful. The young woman’s eyes were wide with curiosity, but locked onto Erwin as well; only occasionally did she spare a glance at you.
The third one, who you assumed was the leader from his quietness, refused to move his gaze from the ground. Until Erwin stepped up to him, waiting for a response; was he trained in the military?
He gave Erwin a cold look, keeping to himself.
When his head was slammed into the dirty water, you watched the way the others reacted. They seemed… worried. But not in the sense that they were worried about the physical harm on him, but his head was pressed into a puddle of dirty water, jumping to answer Erwin’s questions.
You watched the way Erwin got close to the quiet man, so close that Erwin kneeled in the same puddle of dirty water that the man had his face in just moments ago. You paid attention to the surprise evident in the man’s face when Erwin offered for them to join the Survey Corps. The deathly cold, yet fiery look in his eyes when he finally looked up at Erwin.
“I’ll join the Survey Corps.”

Erwin announced that the gates opened in thirty seconds, the toll of the bell getting louder with each passing millisecond.
Everyone faced the gate, some heads forward and others turned upwards. The sun was still too low in the day, but the light created a perfect contrast against the bell and the small guard tower on the wall.
No matter how many expeditions you’ve gone on or continue to go on, the nerves never cease moments before. No one ever knew what to expect, no one could ever be certain of what would be awaiting them the moment they passed the gates and left the safety of the walls.
Thumbs and index fingers rubbing against Akiko’s reign, your gaze was anywhere but the gate.
You just looked forward to heading to the markets after the expedition, plans already made by you and -
“Geez, I’m tired of waiting,” Hange whined, throwing their head back. They immediately turned towards Levi, “Hey, Levi -”
“No.”
A soft giggled erupted past your lips, your hand quickly shooting up to cover your mouth; in a way that you brushed your fingertips against your lips while sparing Hange an apologetic look.
“I haven’t even said anything yet.”
“You want me to help capture a Titan with you, right? A waste of effort. I don’t want anything to do with it,” Levi deadpanned, eyes never leaving the gate.
You turned your head slightly to the left, internally excusing it as looking at Hange while she asked Mike if he would help her, and not to spare a moment to look at Levi.
“The same old boring answers from the same old boring men,” Hange mused.

Levi x Reader
The world had been your enemy ever since your unwanted birth. Born to a “whore” on a cold winter night in the underground with nothing but an old towel as a swaddle to keep you warm had been your lousy introduction to life. Like everyone in the hellish underground you had been dealt an unfair hand, your mother neglected you and eventually drank herself to death the poverty and responsibilities having plagued her with depression. You had never once remember being hugged by her or told that you were loved, you had simply existed with nothing but pain and a frail body to show for it.
Your mother’s happily ever after found within the bottles of liquor had resulted in your miserable childhood of being a street urchin, half starved to death and stealing scraps that no one would even give their dogs, the world had shown you nothing but unforgiveness and a cold shoulder. You yourself had chosen to turn your back on any sign of joy, the bitter and twisted life you had lived depriving you of any and all redemption from the life you had lived. You didn’t owe the world shit so why should you care?
However, in one sudden twist of fate the world had shown you a kinder side, maybe all the suffering and unfairness you had been dealt with had stacked up and pushed the scales in your favour. Whatever the reason, whatever power had moulded your luck, you had met Levi Ackerman and your life had never been the same.
Levi Ackerman had been you anchor for as long as you could care to remember. He was the shoulder you had cried on, he was the one who held you close at night, he was the one you could tell anything and everything too without the fear of being judged, he was the one you had fallen in love with and as a result he had become the very air you breathed. He was the joy you had had been deprived of, even in the misery of the underground Levi had been the sunlight you had craved for so long. You hadn’t needed jewels or gold if you had that man by your side. Either cudldled up in bed or pressing kisses to his bare chest, Levi was the only ecstasy you had ever craved that no other thrill could possibly offer. Your whole having been living lower then a feral cat, treated with animosity and abuse that had piled higher and higher had left you feeling as if you never deserved anything other then inhumane treatment. But Levi? He truly made you feel human.
So why had he left?
You could still recall the day he had told you that he had a very particular mission, one that required him to go the surface. He had expected you to come with him and help like you always did but you had refused, having had a spells of illness and sickness you explained that you were not well enough to offer your talents with assassinations and that you would sit this one out. Very reluctantly Levi had left you behind in the underground swearing to come back and get you. You had waited patiently for your lover to return, counting the days until he would come and pull you away with him to the world above like he had promised ever since the day you met.
But days had turned to weeks and weeks turned to months and the months turned to years.
Eventually you had given up all hope that he was coming back or that he was even alive.
You had heard that Titans were merciless beasts and that countless men and women had fallen outside the walls in their wake, with a broken heart you had come to accept that the same fate had befallen the man you loved. It seemed the world had turned its back on you once again, it’s generosity had gone as quick as it had come and death had taken the only thing life had given you to love. You could have spent many nights crying over the unmarked grave Levi lay in, but in the underground nothing came to those who mourned, you had to survive. That was how it had always been.
The day you had decided Levi was dead you had held back the pain, standing in the kitchen of your apartment which your two friends, Isabel and Farlan, had also shared with you and Levi. Your eyes had burned with tears as the realisation dawned on you that whatever foolish hope you had of Levi coming was gone. You had tried to convince yourself that he was still alive, but if he was alive then that meant he had purposefully left you behind.
You didn’t know which was worse to think about: Levi being dead or Levi consciously deciding to forget about you.
Whilst you had stood in the empty apartment you had swallowed your persistent grief, running your hand over your swollen tummy; whispering to your unborn baby that even though it’s daddy wasn’t coming home, it’s mother would always be by its side. And although your head told you that he was more then likely deceased, your heart would always whisper late at night as you lay awake thinking, that he was still out there and trying to to find you again. Even if it was the furthest thing from reality.
That was two years ago.
Two years since you had last seen Levi and your friends. Life had dragged slowly by and as time went on you had regained your strength, the birth of your daughter having almost killed you and had it not been for Levi’s old thug friends, you feared you and your daughter would no longer be alive. Your status as Levi’s lover had put you high in the list of respected people in the underground, but your skill with a knife and ODM gear had only pushed you higher through the ranks, you were a feared assassin and you had taken down many military personnel, kingpins and black market traders. You had made a name for yourself and it had seemed to have reached the surface that there was a deadly killer loose in the underground.
Maybe that was how you now found yourself being dragged into the scout HQ. Your hands cuffed behind your back, your arms gripped tightly by two scout members as they escorted you towards the main build of the headquarters.
You remained quiet, your head bowed and your hair falling into your eyes not struggling against the men that roughly pulled you through the corridors of the scout base. You glanced around under your hair, your irises shifting to the corners of your eyes to glare at the spectating scout members who stopped in the corridors, watching you being dragged through the old stone milktart HQ. You could hear them whispering and it took all your strength not to pounce on them and put them in their place, to show them that there was reason as to why you were cuffed. With each step you took,l the cool metal blade of the knife you had tucked into your boot pressed against your calf, ready and waiting to strike when you saw an opening.
“You got anything to say for yourself?” one of the scouts says as he walks you down a narrow corridor afew doors on the right side of the stones walls, candles burning in their bronze sconces.
You remain silent, keeping your head down glancing ahead of you through your hair to see a huge door at the end of the corridor with brass handles and two scouts stationed outside for security. You eyed them cautiously with each step you took, your fingers fiddling with something hidden in the sleeve of your trench coat, a small hair slide you had kept in a secret compartment within the sleeve.
“You’re a widely wanted assassin you know.” the guard continues, you gently move your fingers upwards, the hair slide in your fingers as your try to slot it into the lock without them noticing, pushing through the pain in your wrists.
“You’ve killed a lot of our men and women, don’t expect Commander Erwin to be forgiving.”
“It’s the captain you should be worried about. You’ve killed his men and he doesnt like good lives being wasted.”
“If anything you should know the military police will want you hanged, so enjoy your last few hours of life.” The other guard sneers.
You ignore them, too engrossed with finding the key hole, your heart jumping in joy when you felt the hair slide slip into the key hole, you chewed on your lip as you jiggled it around, the guards not even looking. You could always rely on the ego of cocky soldiers to help you escape, they always thought they had won before the game was even beginning.
“The bitch has a daughter too.” The first soldier sighed “still too young to know what’s going on.”
“Great just what we need, the spawn of scum. The kids gonna have to be put into the system or something, either way she’s screwed. She can thank her mother for that.” The second soldier sneered and it took all of you to not retaliate, you bit your lip harder as you twisted the hair slip a few more times, just a little bit more.
“I don’t know why we bother with trials when we know they’re guilty. This broad has killed more people then those damn Titans I’m sure of it.” The second guard spoke, the first one laughed.
“Maybe we should just feed her to them. Seems fitting. A demon eating a demon, almost poetic.”
“You’re full of shit Harold.”
You weren’t listening anymore, not that you had before, instead you worked at the lock your fingers beginning to cramp from the excessive movement while cuffed. You had to admit the scout cuffs were impressive, they were probably the hardest lock you had had to pick in a while, it didn’t matter though because after a few more jerks of the hair slide you felt the mechanisms grow loose; soon followed by a soft click that went unheard by the guards as they continued to jabber on, nearing the door at the end of the corridor. You kept your hands steady to prevent the cuffs from sliding off your wrists, you needed to wait a little longer. You raised your head ever so slightly to notice the men guarding the door were holding shot guns, a wicked grin already across your features as a devious plan spread through your mind.
And you began the countdown.
Five.
You dropped your head to hide the smile. Keeping your face neutral to conceal the escape plan you had forming.
Four.
You kept your heart steady, your mind focused to execute the daring deed. You needed absolute perfection.
Three.
Your fingers twitched getting ready to strike when ready, your body tembling as your heart raced with excitement.
Two.
The soldiers holding you stopped by the door letting the guards reach forward to open the doors back. Eyes taken off you for a second.
One.
You ripped your arms free from the scouts grip, the cuffs sliding from your wrists to the floor with a clatter. Before the soldiers hilding you could even react, you threw your hands out and grasped their hair, forcefully slamming their foreheads together. They cried in pain as their noses crunched upon the impact, thick scarlet blood spouted from their noses.
You thrust your arms forward, grunting at the soldiers dead weight as you threw their unconscious bodies at the two other guards with guns, the two men yelling as their comrades fell ontop of them, you watched them tumble and crash into the wall behind them, sandwiched between stone and unconscious soldiers.
Without time to catch your breath or sooth your already aching muscles, you snatched a gun from one of the fallen guards, both men groaning in pain from the collision. You raised the gun to your head butting the end of of the shotgun into the skulls of the two guards making sure they too were blacked out, ni sooner had you made the impact to their heads you took off down the corridor, not even looking back when you heard the doors open and shouts coming from the direction of where you had taken out the four men.
You charged through the corridors you had come through, your air flying behind you and your heart hammering in your chest as you pushed through any on coming scouts not caring to stop. You knew there would be soldiers chasing after you, you didnt have time to mutter an apology to the girl you had shoved out a window in your desperate scramble for freedom. Glass flying through the air as the girls scream ripped through the corridor, the scouts who had been chasing a few meters behind you stopping in their tracks to aid the girl who was hanging onto the window ledge. You only smirked to yourself as your boots crushed the shattered glass that now lay spread out on the floor, at least now you could run for a little bit longer without being tailed.
You growled when you heard a flurry of footsteps coming to the right, you glanced over your shoulder to see about six scout members hot on your trail. Shit. Looking around there was no where else to go, a barricade of scouts blocked the way forward, waiting for you and then the ones coming from the right staircase would corner you in a heartbeat.
Time seemed to slow, the shouts of the soldiers who had cornered you fading into the background as your heart beat hammered in your head, your breathing the only noise you could hear. If you carried on running straight you would be stopped by the barricade of men, if you went down the right staircase you would also be stopped, there was no escape back the way you came. You sighed as you realised your only escape was the left, a wall lined with windows. Luckily you still had one more trick up your sleeve, you could see the victorious glint in the soldiers eyes in the barricade up ahead, of course. Cocky.
“We have her now men!” one of them cried out followed by deep cheers.
You shot them your own cocky grin, which they caught, the smig looks fading from their faces as they watched with wide eyes as you continued to sprint toward them. However, as you came parallel to the third to last window they were all the more surprised to see you reach for something under your trench coat, ripping the clothing off to reveal the ODM harness strapped to your body.
“Shit! She has ODM gear!” one of the soldiers yelled but it was too late.
Your fingers twitched over the triggers of the ODM hilts shooting the metal cables from their holds and out through the window you were parallel to. Glass once again shattering and flying through the air in a twinkling flurry as the sound of breaking glass filled your ears, your body was lifted from the floor, the straps of the ODM gear pulling against your legs and torso as you were ripped off from the floor and out barrelling out the window.
You flew through the window, glass still falling around you as you were launcjed into the sky, your ODM drills tearing through the old stone in the towers of the HQ, the wind howling through your ears and hair as you swung meters above the ground looking for a good place to land. You could see troops making their way to the courtyards readying their own gear, you scoffed as you flipped around a corner, the straps of your harness rubbing harshly against your muscles as you glided over the turrets of the HQ. You allowed yourself a moment to regain your breath and gather your thoughts as you leapt from wall to wall, the gas from the canisters by your thighs, hissing as they launched you faster and faster through the air.
You needed to find Kuchel. You couldn’t leave with out her. After you found her and escaped you didn’t know what would follow, perhaps you would take your chances outside the walls? No. That was stupid. There was no way you could manage to care for a two year old and take down those monsters, you had admittedly never seen a titan but you knew they were not to be underestimated. You could probably live and run within the three walls, there was enough land to evade the military for a few years and if done properly, forever. But what kind of a life was that for your four year old? What would Levi do? Well for starters he wouldn’t have gotten caught in the first place, you still couldn’t believe you had managed to get captured. But it didn’t matter, you needed to figure out a pl...
You saw them before they hit you, from the corner of your eye you saw a figure careen towards you, an emerald cloak flying out behind them, their face hidden under a hood, their ODM gear whizzing past you and securing itself into the cement fillings of the walls. An angered yell tore you from your thoughts and on instinct your fingers squeezed the triggers on the hilts of your ODM gear causing your own grapples to come loose from the walls. Using every muscle in your body aching as you twisted through the air, your body spiralling upwards narrowly avoiding the scout that had been coming for you. One leg stretched out infront of them, the other bent underneath their body, their torso leant backward to add streamline as they attempted to send their foot flying into your side. You remained calm as whoever it was flew centimers below you, your eyes trying to glance under the shadowy hood of the mysterious figure as the passed under you, their face raised to look up to where you twisted out the way, giving them a smirk as you saw their eyes widen from under the cloak hood before you were torn away from them, arching your self into a flip and launching your grapples into another turret and being whisked away.
You laughed as you saw whoever had tried to knock you down land into the side of the wall their grapples had been aimed at, their feet planted on the stone as they kept their gaze trained on you. You could see them watch you from their position and a sudden rush of arenaline coarsed through you, whoever was under that cloak was skilled and impressively fast, this would be fun. To see who could out wit eachother the longest, a contest of skill.
You laughed quietly to yourself as you continued to grapple tower to tower, you knew you would eventually win. You always did.
For all your whims and graces of believing the scouts were over indulgent you really were quite hypocritical, as you glanced back to where you had left the scout member who had tried to knock you from the sky your eyes widened to see the figure that had been perched on the wall was no longer there. Frantically your head whipped from side to side as you confined to swing ober tne Svout HQ trying to find where your enemy had gone, but with every desperate glance you couldn’t find any trace of him.
Where were they?
BAM! You grunted in sudden pain as you felt something smash straight into your side causing your body to ripped from the air, the wind being knocked from your lungs as the soldier from before crashed into your side, his foot slamming into your back causing your line of trajectory to be thrown off and sending you hurtling towards the ground below. You could feel the figure pressing into you, his hands grasping your neck tightly as you both screamed towards the ground, you growled to yourself trying to launch your ODM cables but the old piece of machinery wouldn’t listen to your trembling fingers as you pressed the switches over and over. The wind tearing over your body sending your hair flying into your eyes prohibiting your view of the man, he was still latched to your body.
Now inches from the ground a panicked cry left your lips as the man loosened his grip on you and pushed away from you, flying back into the air shooting his grapples and swinging out of the harm of crashing into the ground, his cape flying behind him like a majestic pair of wings.
You however had had no time to save yourself, your only instinct to cover your head and face as your body hit the ground, a gasp escaping as you continued to fall head first toward the ground. Painful throbs surge through your arms as they met the hard earth first, a burning coasting through your skin as the rough ground tore away at your flesh as you bounced along the dirt. Desperately trying to find your bearings you came to a stop, the wind having been totally knocked from you as a dull ache crippled every nerve of your body.
You lay gasping for air on the dusty floor, blood beginning to sleep through the cuts that now graced your face and arms. Your body shaking from shock as you clumsily got your feet, your legs weightless and light as you stood up, your breathing strained and raspy as you reached for the knife that was still tucked in your boot. Your eyes scanning the air for any sight of the soldier who had ploughed into you, the sky was once again clear and you tended bracing for any kind of surprise impact again. Gathering your last nerves you began to run, your numb feet pounding against the spinning world as you made a made dash, your fear was busted there was no doubt in your mind. Glancing ahead you could see some horses tied to a post already tacked up, you had never ridden a horse before but if you could grab one it could offer a valuable escape.
You internally groaned as the sound of ODM cables hissing meters above you could be heard, glancing over your shoulder you felt your heart brow cold at the sight of several scouts giving chase; their cloaks flying behind them and blades drawn as they swung down. You weren’t surprised to see them, you had just hoped they would have arrived later rather then sooner, but you continued to run despite knowing you would be caught only stopping when the soldiers landed in circle around you, their hoods pulled back to reveal their faces. They drew their blades and held them out by their sides, metal clashing against eachother to pen you in as they stood with locked blades. Like a beast being caged you growled, spinning slowly in a circle to try and find a weakness in their barrier they had created. The knife still clutched in your hand, ready to cut anyone who made a move as your keen eyes desperately searched for a chink in the impenetrable wall they had created.
You didn’t flinch when you heard someone land harshly behind you, instead you remained perfectly still, your back turned to whoever stood behind you. Not even batting an eyelid even as a gleaming silver blade was jammed over your right shoulder, your pupils shifting to were the weapon peered up at you, the silver flashing in the sunlight. The cool metal inches from your neck as whoever was behind you held their weapon to the side of your neck, daring you to move even an inch. You closed your eyes as you tired to steady your thoughts, your heart hammering in your chest as you slowly held your hands up, your elbows bent as you flattened your palms, the knife youbhad held clattering to the floor.
“It’s a good idea to surrender.” a voice spoke “you’ve just made my job ten times easier.”
That voice. You had heard that voice before, somewhere long ago. The breath caught in your lungs as you felt a sudden wave of nostalgia crash through you, a sense of familiar brushing through your mind. Did you know that voice?
Something buried deep inside you screamed yes, that voice was dull and void of any kind of enthusiasm. Instead it’s layers were dripping in cold malice as its owner pushed the sharp edge of the blade closer to your skin. But surely if you knew the man who owned the voice, he wouldn’t be trying to kill you.
“You think you could let me go?” you ask trying to glance over your shoulder at the man behind you only for the blade still lingering above your shoulder to flick upward and smack you in the cheek causing your head to jerk to the side.
“Don’t be an idiot.” The voice drawled “you’ve killed good people. You’re not going anywhere any time soon. If it was my choice I would kill you right here, but luckily for you Erwin wants you have a fair trial. Waste of time if you ask me.”
“I only did what I did to feed my daughter and keep a roof over our heads.” you spit, your brows furrowed into a scowl as you glared at your feet gritting your teeth as the memories of the night Levi left filling your head “I wouldn’t expect you to understand, having been raised above ground your whole life. I bet you’ve had everything handed to you.”
The man behind you was quiet for a moment. You stood patiently waiting ignoring the harsh looks of the soliders who remained around you, keeping quiet as they watched the scene play out before them. They were curious as to what their captain would do next, most assumed he would take you away and be dealt with by the law however some, the ones that knew him better then the others, could see him grow hesitant and the longer he stared at you the more he seemed to restrain himself from doing anything else. They didn’t know what it was but something seeemdd off about the hardened captain, they were pondering what it was.
The soldiers had not been wrong to assume their leader was slightly off. Levi had you right where he wanted you, on the receiving end of his blade and surrounded by a ring of elite soldiers and yet, he couldn’t bring himself to further command your arrest. Instead he found himself glued to the spot unable to do anything other then keep throwing taunting remarks towards you. He stared at the back of your head, your long locks of (y/h/c) hair resurfaced long lost memories he had long since thought he had repressed to the depths of his consciousness, but everything from the way that you moved to the way that you spoke reminded him of something, or someone, he had chosen to leave behind a long time ago. His grip on the hilt of his blade remained steady yet his heart hammered in his chest as he watched you cautiously, he had a theory as to who he was pointing his weapon at but he hoped more then anything he was wrong. He hoped that you were a stranger, an unfortunate coincidence that you resembled the woman he loved instead of it actually being her, because if it was her if it was (y/n), then he had failed and his choice to abandon you would have been for nothing. He prayed to any cruel power that would listen that he was wrong.
“I have a daughter.” you say drawing Levi from his thoughts, his glare relaxing slightly as you bowed your head, your face hidden under a curtain of hair “would you make an orphan of her? Kill the only family she had left?”
“Where is her father?” Levi asked calmly despite his heart that lurched in his chest.
“He’s dead. Two years ago.” you whisper, you couldn’t see Levi’s eyes widen his body growing cold.
He pressed his eyes shut, swallowing the lump in his throat. Two years ago. Was this another coincidence. No it couldn’t be. He already knew who he was looking at, the flurry of emotions that wrestled inside him was indescribable, a wave of joy, fear, relief, hurt anything you could possibly feel was now crashing over him and ripping away his walls. He could tell you it was him, but he wanted to know how you felt about him, if he asked enough questions maybe he could grasp some understanding as to whether or not you would want to see him. If not he would remain hidden under the safety of his cloak hood and let you confuse to believe he had died, if you wanted to see him then he would reveal himself to you.
“But you.”
Levi listens as you talk, picking up in his broken you sounded.
“You talk just like him.” you release a small laugh “almost identical. Apart of me think maybe there’s a chance you are the father to my little girl. The man I love. But I know that’s stupid. If you were him that would mean he chose to leave me behind. Who would do that? Who would promise to come back and then leave their pregnant girlfriend behind?”
Levi’s eyes widen from under the shadow of his hood, his heart clenched in a vice like grip in his chest. So that was why you hadn’t come with him, Isabel and Farlan that day. Had he known he would have pulled you from the underground without a moment of doubt, it would have been reason enough to prevent you from becoming a scout and keep you safe for a little while longer. But he hadn’t tried to reconcile with you, instead he had decided that it was safer for you to forget about him and not risk joining him on the surface where the Titans roamed. After losing Isabel and Farlan there had been no chance he would lose you too, he couldn’t watch something happen to you. So as a result he had left you in the questionable safety of the underground, hoping you would be better off without him. And now here he stood, two years later with you on the other side of his weapon.
He retracted the blade from hovering over your neck and sheaths it, the scouts surrounding him looking on in surprise as their stoic captain lowered his guard.
“Petra.” he spoke his eyes never leaving the back of your head, you noticed a mousy haired woman perk up.
“Yes captain?”
“Take everyone back to HQ. I can handle it from here.” Levi instructed, Petra seemed hesitant.
“But captain...”
“That’s an order.”
You watched as the soldiers one by one sheathed their blades and dispersed, walking away and launching their grapples into the turrets of the HQ. Silently, your eyes stayed trained on them as you watched the figures disappear into the sky and over the walls of the HQ leaving you alone with the Captain, you lowered your hands to your sides.
It wasn’t Levi. It couldn’t be Levi. You kept telling yourself over and over again that Levi was dead, that this man was unfortunately similar to your lover but was in fact not him. You didn’t want to turn around, that would confirm that it either was or wasn’t him and you’d rather be ignorant to the knowledge of Levi’s fate if it meant it would only cause you more pain.
It was quiet for the longest time.
“Are you going to turn around?” Levi asked after a while, you bit your lip.
“If I do what will I see?”
“The man you love.”
You squeezed your eyes shut, your eyes burning with tears as your legs buckled slightly a wave of weakness surging through you. It was him. Your fears were reality and now you couldn’t bring yourself to look at him, you didn’t wipe away the tears that fell from your eyes and ran down your cheeks as your throat became dry and your body trembled. You didn’t know what you felt. Breathing became difficult and all you could do was gasp for air as salty tears still traced your cheeks.
“Turn around.” he pleaded.
“I can’t.”
“Why?”
“Because if I do, if I face you, it’ll become real. It’ll be proof you chose to leave me behind. A part of me wants you to remain dead.”
“And the other part of you?”
“Wants to beat you senseless.”
“Tch. I expected no less.”
“You’re in no position to criticise.” you growl, your fists clenching, you hear him sigh.
“I guess not. Turn around (y/n).”
The moment his name left your lips an unbridled rage blinded you. How dare he beg you to look at him when he had left you behind. How dare he stand behind you and whisper your name as if nothing had happened, as if what he had done was forgivable. Before you could comprehend what you were doing your fist had moved on it’s own, lashing out as your body spun with no command to face him, your clenched fist making contact with his nose a deafening crunch echoing into the air as your knuckles cracked the joint in his face and his body was launched across the ground.
Blood flying through the air from his nose as he fell backwards instinctively reaching his hands behind his head to flip back onto his feet. You stood panting as your glared at him your fist clenched still and hanging by your legs as you watched Levi wipe the blood from his nose his hood having fallen back to reveal his face.
Your heart burned in your chest as you stated into his silver eyes, his hair still cut and styled the same way, ebony locks falling into his eyes like it had in the underground, his skin having been graced with a little splash of colour after four of years of living under the sun. He hadn’t grown much in height but he had filled out in the muscle area, his body noticeably broader. His face had aged somewhat, his eyes graced with slight bags and his angled features having become more defined and his lips still perky and full. His eyes seemed fuller, as if the years had worn say any glint he had once honed in them. But of course he was still as handsome as the day you had met him and it tore you apart.
“You son of a bitch!” you yelled storming over to where he stood wiping the blood from his face with his cloak, his face half hidden but his eyes locked with yours. You knew he could have easily avoided the blow you had aimed at him, you knew he had purposely not dodged he attack and you were glad he alllwwd you to inflict pain on him. It meant he knew he had screwed up.
“You said you would come back!” you scream picking up your pace, Levi remains still waiting for you to pounce on him, he could see it the way you moved that you were going to attack again.
And you did.
You lunges toward him getting ready to pound your fists into his chest and face but as you moved towards him you felt your strength dissipate and instead your balled up fists loosened and slid around his neck, your lips crashing into his.
The instant his lips melted into yours his arms looped around your waist, fitting so perfectly it was as if they had always been there. He pulled you close I to his chest, your hands pressing into his pectorals feeling the firm muscle underneath, his cold nose brushing over your tear streaked cheeks as he continued to passionately kiss you. His lips tasted the same, minty and with a slight bitter twist that only made him all the more addictive, his soft lips moulding against your own as one of his hands to reach up grasp the back of your head his fingers tangling in your hair and pulling on the roots. Butterflies fluttered in your stomach and the anger you had fizzled and eventually died as he held you into him the way he had all your life. It was as if no time had passed and the world slipped through your fingers as he kissed you, your body growing light as he gently pulled away resting his forehead on yours, his hands resting on your shoulder blades as he kept you close to him, your own arms around his waist.
“I should kill you.” you whisper, your face scrunching up as tears continue to leak down your face your fingers gripping the fabric of his shirt from under his cloak as your legs buckle and he slowly lets you put all your weight on him as you bury your face into his shoulder and he rests his cheek on your head as he holds you tightly.
“Levi I should rip your head off.” you growl as you continue to sob into his shoulder “w-why would leave us? Why didn’t you come back?”
Levi swallowed loudly as he just held you into him, his own tears spilling down his face any and all composure gone. It wasn’t as if there was anyone there to see him break down and cry.
“I thought you would be safer if I left you behind.” he whispered into your neck as he nuzzled his nose into your locks of hair “I knew Erwin would make you a soldier and I couldn’t risk it...I couldn’t lose you outside the walls too, not after losing them.”
“What do you mean by ‘them’?” you ask, your voice trembling as you pulled your face out of his shoulder to look up into his sparkling irises as tears continued to spill down his cheeks, his jaw clenched and nose still bloodied.
You could feel the fingers of dread claw away at you, realisation setting in as Levi remained quiet. Your face growing pale and a cry left your lips, your legs buckling under you and you fell to the floor slipping through Levi’s arm to land on your knees your legs tucked underneath you. Your hands tightly grasping the grass beneath your feet as you shoulders shook, tears dampening the soul beneath you.
Levi watched you crying on your hands and knees and he lowered himself to kneel before you, his own lips trembling and eyes red from crying.
“Isabel...Farlan they’re dead?” you ask through pained sobs raising your head to meet Levi’s guilt ridden eyes, his hair falling into his eyes and his gaze avoiding yours as he stared towards ground and he nods. Your eyes widen at his gentle nod and a stifled moan leaves your lips.
So they were gone?
“H-how did they...?”
“Titan.” Levi grunts and you nod.
“That’s why you didn’t come back for me?” you ask and Levi let’s his gaze return to you his sound shattering at the sight of you the break in your voice piercing his last few nerves of strength “you didn’t want me to have the same fate?”
“I thought I was doing you a favour.” he said quietly bowing his head to hide his tearful eyes from you “I thought you had a better chance of surviving if I left you behind. They would have made you a soldier. Had I known you were...that we...had I known you were pregnant I would have come back. They wouldn’t have made you fight and things would’ve been...”
He trailed off his brow furrowing at his incompatibility to form the right words and keep his tough exterior. Staring with starry eyes, your heart like a dead weight in your chest you continued to watch him as he kneeled in front of you, his body trembling cautiously you shuffled closer to him sitting your self up and moving his arms gently out the way to allow your body to press against his reaching up to make your arms round his neck.
Levi froze for a moment as you snuggled into his body, after the surprise of your affection he wrapped his arms around you as you pressed your face into his chest. His chin resting on your shoulder as he stayed kneeling with you hugging him from your position in the ground your legs tucked under your body.
“Why didn’t you tell me you were pregnant?” Levi mumbled his eyes closed as he clutched you into him the tears having slowed.
“I wanted to surprise you. When you came home.” you bit your lip to prevent more tears and sobs from escaping “but you never did. You left me behind.”
“I know.”
“Levi you left both of us.”
“I was trying to protect you.”
“I know.”
You knew you should be screaming at him, maybe ruffle him up a bit more but you had never liked arguing with him. Even after having broken and tearing out your heart you already forgave him, was it weakness? Maybe. But you knew you were still so in love with Levi Ackerman, the nights spent in the thoroughly cleaned apartment, cuddled into his side on the sofa as Isabel and Farlan chatted with you, their laughs still ringing in your ears. You couldn’t stay mad at him, he was the father of your child and your only love, he was Levi Ackerman the only thing this world had given you in a moment of generosity. While you were displeased at his decisions you knew that in time you would forget the pain he caused even if his intentions were pure, because time could heal what he had damaged.
You sniffled into his shirt as he slowly lowered his bent knee that held him up to rest on the ground beside his other knee to rest on his lower legs to get more comfortable as he kept you held into him. His strong arms warming your shaken body as they renamed securely around you, his chin resting in the crook of your neck just thanking whoever was listening for having you in his arms again.
“So we have a brat of our own?” he asked softly after a while, you nod.
“A little girl.” you reply drying your eyes, your body gradually relaxing “Kuchel. That’s her name.”
“You named her after my mother?” Levi asked a flurry of fuzzy warmth surging through him, his heart swelling in his chest.
“Of course I did.”
“Can I meet her?”
“Your men have her. I don’t know where they’ve taken her. They’ll take me away too.”
At your words you heard a growl rip through his throat and his grip on you tightened. Like a wolf defending his mate and cub he would fight for the right to keep them even if he died trying.
“I’ll sort it out. We can get Kuchel back and I can make a bargain with the commanders about your arrest. I promise you I won’t let anyone take either of you away from me.” he vowed, his grip on you loosening allowing you to pull your face away from his chest, he turned his neck to look at you.
As you stared into his eyes you noticed that dull edge had been replaced with a small glimmer. His once faded and tiered silver orbs now seeming to light up with new founded hope that you had always given him, the breath caught in your throat as he leaned down to press his lips into yours. The kiss was slower and filled more controlled want as he pulled you closer into him, breaking the kiss to then press his lips to forehead and ruffling your hair slightly like he did two years ago since falling in love with you.
“Levi please...” you whisper as you rest your head back into his shoulder the tears having all but slowed “please don’t leave me again.”
“Don’t worry brat. It’s never happening again.”
“Good.”
You remained clutching eachother for a time so king you had lost track. It wasn’t until four scouts landed around you and Levi that your moment of ambience was ruined. The soldiers landed in a small diamond around you and your long lost love, not having a chance to react as one of them lunges forward to grab you sharply by the arm, ripping you from Levi’s arms and grunting as whoever had grabbed you pulled you into them o lay for their blade to be pushed to your neck.
Levi jumped to his feet, drawing his own weapon and holding it infront of the soldiers blocking him from letting the gleaming blade reach your neck. The soldiers eyes widened at the captain who blocked his blow, Levi’s strength causing the soldiers blade to clatter to the floor and in a moment the soldier dropped his guard only for Levi to pull you away from your attacker and move you behind him, his stance defensive and blades drawn by his side, ready to fight.
“Captain Levi just what do you think you’re doing?” one of the soldiers spoke, he was tall with blonde hair and blue eyes, you noticed that Levi didn’t have blades aimed at the man but the other three instead.
“There’s been a mistake Erwin.” Levi spoke, his eyes cautiously watching the others “this assassin is not my enemy.”
“What are you talking about Levi?” Erwin asked.
“She’s killed over hundred of us. Hand her over captain, I’ll finish the job.” one of the other soldiers says his blades twitching and Levi snarls throwing an arm out causing his cape to fly out and shield your body as you stood patiently behind him.
“No one lays a hand on her.” Levi snaps his eyes locking with Erwin’s “Erwin. You remember when I first left the underground I said I had someone to come back to.”
Erwin’s eyes visibly stiffened, his mouth slightly a gape and his blue eyes widening as he glanced at you. You shoe him a weak grin which he didn’t return, you couldn’t blame him you had killed numerous soldiers. Mostly military police.
“Levi she’s a dangerous assassin with crimes worth the death penalty fifty times over.” Erwin says “I’m not sure if I can get her out of this...”
“What are you saying Erwin?” one of the soldiers yelled.
“You’re saying you’re going to pardon this murderous bitch?” the one who had grabbed you earlier yelled, you remained still as you watched the scene play out. You trusted Levi, he would get you out of this. You weren’t afraid to accept the consequences for your crimes, but after finding Levi you wanted desperately to try and become a better person, the way he had. To be there for your daughter and start again.
Erwin’s mind was running on loop. He had always wondered who Levi had been referring to all those years ago, the man had said that he had wanted to bring someone else to the surface with him and Erwin had agreed but only once Levi and his friends had proved his worth. But then after the trios first expedition Levi had seemed reluctant to bring whoever he had spoken of so fondly above ground, Erwin had never pried but now he wishes he had. Otherwise he would have told his friend to re think his choices. But Erwin wasn’t a monster, he had already assumed the infant he had taken into the Survey Corps custody was the spawn of the stoic captain, and he wasn’t going to deprive Levi of a family.
“All Of you leave.” Erwin said glancing around at the other three soldiers “and find the infant, bring her out here.”
Levi gave his commander a grateful nod which Erwin returns. The soldiers, although hesitant, didn’t argue but you could see the disapproval in their eyes as they walked away. Erwin waited until they were out of war shot to continue speaking.
“Levi. I hope you know this won’t be an easy case to plea.” Erwin began as he sheathed his blades “I want to help you. I think having your family will be good for you, I can ask for (y/n)’s skills to be put to use on our branch of the military. I must warn you though I can’t promise anything, and if she is allowed to join the fight for humanity she will be expected to join most expeditions.”
Levi nodded, so his fears were true. You would be put into harms way but there was nothing else he could do, Erwin was risking everything to help him. He couldn’t afford to be picky. He glanced to his side as he felt you move out from behind him to stand by Levi’s side entwining your hand with his, your gaze meeting Erwin’s.
“You would do that for me?” you ask quietly, Erwin looks you up and down his gaze softening.
“I may not like the way you made your living, but I’m aware of the situation you were in. Until something is done about the conditions of the underground no one can expect everyone who lives there to lead innocent lives. I’m doing this or my friend and his daughter. I’m doing this so you can have a second chance. I warn you to not mess it up.”
“Thank you.” you reply, cursing your weakness as more tears sting your eyes, you lean on Levi letting your head rest on his shoulder.
Erwin nods and you notice his eyes looking at something behind you. You raise your head off Levi’s shoulder to turn your head to look behind you to see a brunette female scout member with glasses and a ponytail walking towards you, in her arms was a small raven haired two year old.
Relief swept through your veins as you saw Kuchel safely in the woman’s arms. Levi turned beside you, his hand slipping out of yours to stare at Hange who carried his daughter towards him. You noticed that he had frozen, his body tensing and then relaxing his eyes wide and already brimming with adoration for the two year old, his jaw slightly slack as Hange approached a grin on her freckled face.
“Ku...” you breath reaching out to take your daughter, Hange passes her to you and you hold your baby girl close to your body, pressing a kiss to her soft hair.
Levi stared down at the tiny human in your arms, his heart melting in his chest as her huge (y/e/c) eyes curiously boring into his own, her fluffy locks of raven hair unmistakably the Ackerman in her and her skin a fair as freshly fallen snow. This was his baby, his daughter who he was gazing upon.
Erwin decided that now was as good as time as any to leave the new father with his small family. As he passed the short, raven haired man the commander placed a hand on his friends shoulder giving him a reassuring smile which Levi stiffly returned belfry the blonde walked away dragging Hange with him, the woman crying that she wanted to watch the adorable scene before her.
Levi turned his attention back on the the woman and two year old next to him, watching lovingly as you cooed to Kuchel. He didn’t know how to explain the feeling that surged within him, a feeling he thought he would never be privileged enough to experience again.
“Do you want to hold her?”
“What?” he asked snapping out if his internal monologue and you chuckled bouncing Kuchel on your slim hip.
“Do you want to hold her?” you asked again.
“I don’t know how.”
“I’ll show you.”
Levi hesitated, a prick of uncertainty clouding his mind. What if his daughter didn’t like him? He wasn’t exactly the most gentle person in the world he knew that, his hands were calloused and he had no clue how to properly hold his daughter. What if he dropped her or held her too tightly and hurt her?
But he didn’t protest as you gently began to untangle Kuchel from your body and gently lifted her up and passed her to Levi, you could see the panic in his eyes as your hand left Kuchel and let him hold her. Gently you moved his hands to hold her properly, one of his delicate hands supporting her back and the other tucked securely under her tiny legs as he held her into his chest. It didn’t take longer for the anxiety to be swept away and replaced with pure affection.
You watched as Levi’s stoic face slowly softened and a faint smile graced his lips as his daughter rested her face into his shoulder, her chubby toddler hands grasping the emerald fabric of his cloak as he bounced her up and down the way you had earlier.
“She’s mine?” Levi asks as he presses his lips to Ku’s temple the child releasing a small giggle and you nod.
“Yeah. She’s yours.” you say running a hand over her tiny back “Do you like her?”
“Tch. That’s one way to describe it.” Levi mutters but despite his harsh tone you could see the sparkle in his eyes.
It may have been the world finally paying back for all the pain you had endured. It may have been that fate was finally on your side and granting you this moment of serenity as you watched Levi hold your daughter into his chest, or maybe it was just sheer luck. Whatever it was, whatever power had gifted you this, you knew that all the suffering had been worth it if it meant you could live these blissful minutes. Whatever the world had left to throw at you, you could handle it. Because you had him back, Levi Ackerman was apart of your life again. And you’d be damned if you ever let him go.

I saw that requests are opeeen! As your biggest fan I can't NOT take advantage of this😊 I want to request fluff!!! With probably just a pinch of angst~ Reader is a fierce captain on the battlefield BUT outside of it, she is the type of person who is motherly, kind, sweet, a bit shy and more on the meek, gentle side. She takes care of everyone and is widely loved ((104th brats love her as a mom)) We can insert some slightlyyy protective/possessive Levi cuz of all male attention she's getting and how some can't keep their hands off her and he has to subtly put them in their place without revealing too much of their relationship. She also finds it hard to say no, her desire to help people overwhelming her each time which causes some ppl to take advantage of her desire to help and sometimes that leaves her exhausted and close to tears. Levi finally snaps after witnessing Something like this and makes sure to state some things clearly and protect her. Maybe some private, very soft moment can follow with soft Levi but then his squad (our 104th brats) see and they are just so shocked that someone like her is with someone like him. But at the same time their hearts just melt and they love the couple!
Tender Care
warnings: none present, well except for strong language

a/n: omg stop you’re literally the sweetest, I hope you enjoy this and I’ve done the masterpiece of a request justice🤞🏻you deserve so much honestly. Lowkey nervous, but this request made my heart swoooon 💖 I loved it so much, it lived rent free in my head for a day or two before I began writing, thanks for sending it in ❤️❤️

You were known for being approachable and kind, if someone had a problem, they could go to you. It had started in your early days as a cadet, supporting your comrades as best you could and the degree to which people knew you could be quite motherly only escalated when you became a Captain. You’d often see a new recruit struggling after an expedition and even though your eyes held a harsher look on the battlefield, they would soften around your comrades. You would listen to them try describe and process the horrors they had seen or offer a shoulder for them to cry on. Sometimes you’d encourage your comrades to write to their families after moments like this, because being reminded of who loved them was most important and many a time you’d post these letters yourself.
It became a thing after a while, if a soldier wanted to get something to their family, they were directed to you and you took care of the rest, all the while exuding such a caring demeanor that the soldiers would walk away a bit brighter than when they’d arrived.
Your motherly instinct only intensified once the 104th cadets joined the Scouts. You just wanted to protect them instantly, no other scouts had entered the survey corps under more horrific conditions than they had. Not only had some of them seen the horrors of the Titan’s attack on Wall Maria years beforehand, but to be in Trost when an attack happened again? You thought it was absolutely horrific for kids to have witnessed that. It wasn’t just what they had been through, but the fact that they survived it all and still stood before Erwin on recruitment day prepared to accept his grim survival statistics. These recruits had your respect.
There had been a rumor circulating about meat being stolen from one of the storehouses on the exact day Trost had been attacked. Certainly, the incident was at the very bottom of anyone’s priorities, so it was never properly investigated, but you hardly knew of a seasoned soldier who would risk it and the more you thought about it, you were willing to bet it had been someone from the 104th. Although you very much doubted there had been much time for them to enjoy it, even if they had.
The Scouts were busy preparing for the 57th expedition when you called the new recruits to the mess hall, just before the curfew. They’d stood before you in a perfect line while you leaned against a table and took in the sight of them. “I heard meat went missing from a storehouse in Trost.” Some of them grew visibly pale and you waited a few more moments, curious as to what they would do. No one said anything, not one of them sold out the other and you smiled. “Take a seat, you look tired after training all day.”
You turned to walk into the kitchen without waiting to see if they’d moved, they seemed nervous around you, no doubt thinking they were in trouble. They soon found out it was the exact opposite when you emerged from the kitchen moments later with a platter of meat, already cut into portions to avoid any potential fights and a plate piled with bread rolls to make sandwiches.
“No way…”
“Is this real?”
“It cant be…”
“Oh it is.” You hummed and placed the platter in the center of the table before dishing out plates, knives and forks to them all. It may have cost you a large chunk of your wages but seeing the look on their faces was more than worth it. “Don’t make too much noise or you’ll be thrown out, if you need anything else my office is across the way, two doors down on the left. Leave the dishes when you’re done, enjoy.” Offering them a bright smile you left them in peace, looks of disbelief still staring at you.
They must have been okay for the evening since none of them came by your office and when you returned that night ready to clean the dishes, you found your heart swelling with joy at seeing them all stacked on the table, freshly washed and respectfully returned.

It was safe to say you were attached to the 104th after that and they had a soft spot for you. You’d often have Sasha outside your door wondering if you could sneak her more food. Connie and Jean would often request that you sent their letters to their family, but Jean was always a bit more secretive about doing so, each time he would say “Not a word to anyone else.” It seemed like his friends would make fun of him if they knew, but the secret was safe with you. On one occasion Mikasa’s scarf had torn slightly and you’d offered to stitch it, she’d been utterly hesitant to leave it in your care, to say the least, so you asked her to join you while you worked. Any time you were present for Hange experimenting Eren’s Titan ability, you were quick to suggest taking breaks when you saw it was going too far. And more often than not, when you brought water supplies to your squads training sessions, you would bring extra for Levi’s as well. Each time he seemed to greet you with a “Tch. You spoil them.”
Levi could see you clearly loved the brats and they loved you, it was more than obvious how that seemed to extend to the rest of the regiment too. Sometimes he caught people blushing and bashfully talking to you and on the rare occasion he caught someone looking at you in less than a decent way and nudging others. There was nothing that seemed to ignite his possessiveness quicker and he would appear instantly in front of them, a dark look in his eyes as he would say “Oi, keep your filthy thoughts to yourself. You’re on stable duty for the next month.” Goodness help whoever gawked at him or tried to answer back “Make that two months.” He would only arch his eyebrow slightly, challenging them for him to go on.
Nobody seemed to take particular note of when he would swoop in like this, they did not question why, at least as far as he could tell. If anything they always seemed eager to get away from the intensity of the glare he would pin them with. Levi had accepted that he would protect you like this without you even noticing, because you were utterly caring and deserved to be protected at all costs.
The truth was, he loved you, more than words could describe. He felt entirely undeserving of your love, but you were the missing piece in his life. Levi was complete with you.
Which was why when he walked back to their shared room at the end of the day and opened the door to see you with your head in your hands surrounded by a pile of the Scouts capes, he was by your side instantly.

Everything seemed to build up on that day. You could hardly get through your paperwork without someone knocking at your door, some wanted to discuss what had just happened on a recent expedition and you’d been more than willing to listen to them and offer some words of comfort. Yet the day went on and fellow comrades delivered more and more letters that would need to be posted. Many were the final words of scouts that had taken preventative measures before going on the expedition and entrusted them to their friends who now left them in your care. The weight of the day seemed to fall heavily on your shoulders and when you did eventually get some time to yourself, you’d eyed the stack of letters, a looming reminder of the lives that were lost and you could hardly concentrate. It was difficult to say no to someone when they asked for a request. It felt selfish even. You’d been a veteran long enough to know just how this job went, that these hard days were not often and your comrades only meant the best, but logic wasn’t helping you cope with feeling overwhelmed.
So when a soft knock came at your door and you told the person to enter, you found your expression softening at the sight of Armin and Jean standing there, with a pile of green capes in their arms.
“Captain y/n…” Armin started almost nervously and he averted his eyes for a second. “Some of our capes got torn in the last expedition.”
“We wanted to ask if you’d help fix them for us.” Jean finished and how could you say no? With them standing there in your doorway, Armin looking like he didn’t want to ask because it would cause a hassle and the sight of the pile indicating that almost all of them had experienced some issue with their uniform.
You stood up from your desk and walking towards them you moved your arms in front of you “Of course, leave them with me.”
“We can carry them for you!” Armin quickly offered, but you shook your head, you could see how tired they looked. It had only been a day since returning after all. “It’s alright, I’ll take care of it, don’t worry.” Managing to offer them a bright smile, after a few seconds of reluctance they stepped forward to place the pile in your hands. They’d thanked you before leaving and you stood there for a second with the pile in your hands before a soft sigh passed your lips and you walked back to your shared room, hardly being able to see over the pile.
Some soldiers asked if you were fixing capes on your walk there and if you could fix theirs too. You could just about offer a small smile “Sure” and they promised to leave them by your office later.
The capes had just been worn on the last expedition, so when you entered your lovers office that was adjoined to your shared room, you decided the best hygienic option was to place them on the spare visitors chair in front of Levi’s desk. You didn’t think he’d appreciate bringing uniforms that would need to be fixed and washed into the clean bedroom. Taking a seat in the second visitors chair in front of the desk a soft sigh escaped your lips at the sight of the pile. You were exhausted to say the least, emotionally and physically, the day having taken a lot out of you. You’d grabbed your sewing kit to begin working on the capes, managing to stitch the small tears and rips in a few of the capes before your hands were wavering and you were pricking your own finger more often than stitching the fabric. It was a useless attempt.
Placing down the cape, needle and thread in defeat, you sat forward to hold your face in your hands feeling tears form in your eyes. You weren’t sure why you were feeling like this, normally you could support your comrades in whatever way they needed, but today it was draining and you should have said no to a few things, yet those words never formed easily for you.
“Y/n?” Levi asked gently and you startled slightly seeing him crouched beside you, his hand lingering in the air near your arm. You hadn’t heard him enter, let alone get so close to you and you only wiped away the few tears that had fallen trying to act like you hadn’t let the day consume you.
“Levi, sorry, I didn’t hear you come in.”
He visibly frowned and stayed exactly where he was, before reaching out to hold your face in his hands. His thumb brushed against your skin gently, wiping away the few more tears that slipped loose. It stirred a comforting feeling in you to see Levi give you such a caring look that you often gave him and so many others. Your lip quivered involuntarily and before you knew it Levi wrapped his arms around you pulling you into his chest in a secure embrace.
“Its alright, you’re alright.” His voice murmured tenderly, and he placed a kiss on your head while you remained buried in his hold. Neither of you moved for a while, you were content to have Levi’s strong arms holding you lovingly close to his chest and his hand thread through your hair in a soothing rhythm. You always found peace near him and slowly, but surely the overwhelming feelings you’d been consumed by only minutes ago started to ease from your body.
“What happened?”
You were grateful your face was buried in his chest. “It doesn’t sound like a big deal if I say it.” You mumbled, half hiding in his arms.
Levi moved slightly to get a better look at your expression and you inwardly cursed that you couldn’t have hid from him for longer. He gave you a pointed stare “Tell me what happened y/n, let me help you.” The look in his eyes was the same soft one he always reserved for you and a small smile formed on your lips. “It was just the day – the demands of it, it all caught up on me.” Your voice fell more quiet towards the end.
A soft sigh passed his lips and Levi closed his eyes just for a moment “You’re too good to them, all of them… you should say no more often.”
“That’s easier said than done.”
“I’ll tell them no for you.”
The smile widened on your lips more as you imagined how that would happen, no doubt some cursing would be involved. You shook your head “Not necessary Levi, I’ll be okay tomorrow.” Truthfully you loved taking care of others and you would be more than happy to continue to do so, but maybe after a short break.
“Tch, fine.”
Levi loosened his secure embrace and stood up properly before offering you his hand. Hesitating only for a moment caused Levi to arch his eyebrows and you glanced towards the still large pile of capes, the work you’d done so far was not even close enough to make a difference. “I should finish these first, I’ll join you afterwards.”
“Who owns them?”
“Your squad” Trying to admit it casually was your best bet. Practically no one knew of their relationship, least of all Levi’s squad and you wondered if they had been so concerned over the state of their uniform out of apprehension of their Captain seeing the state of it. It was ironic their attempt to keep it quiet ended up leading to what they tried to avoid.
“Don’t tell me the brats can’t stitch their own uniforms.” His expression grew serious and deadpanned and you ran through the options of how to smoothly get everyone out of this one.
“Well they’re only kids and I imagine their mothers –”
“Tch. Don’t give me that, you’re coddling them y/n. They fight Titan’s, I’m sure they can stitch fabric.”
“I’m sure some of them can, but I just wanted to help–”
Calloused warm hands placed themselves on the side of your face and your gaze was brought to meet Levi’s, the serious expression softened again as he looked at you and his thumb brushed lightly against your skin. “I know you want to help them, but not at the expense of what you need. Promise me you’ll take care of yourself more.”
Rendered speechless by his words, you could admit he had a point and could only nod once, accepting his words. “Alright, I’ll try.” It seemed to satisfy him enough and he leaned over to press a chaste kiss to your lips. “Let’s go to bed then.”
Once both of you had changed out of your uniform and into the clothes you’d sleep in, you found Levi laying in bed first. He pulled back the duvet for you to move under and you gleefully lay down beside him just as his arms wrapped around your body and held you close to him. Moving your head to lay on his chest, his arm hung loosely over your waist as his slender fingers found their way to the ends of your hair, softly twirling strands around his fingers. Between the exhaustion from the day and the calming rhythm of his fingers, you found yourself slowly being lulled to sleep with his steady heartbeat and comforting presence.

Levi’s insomnia wasn’t nearly as bad as it was before he met you, but it was still present in his life. Normally he would be content to just lay there holding you in his arms and fall into a trance of reassurance hearing your soft breathing, but he’d been irked by how much of yourself you’d given to be reduced to tears. As carefully as he could and utterly slowly, Levi had eased himself from your arms late that night, instead replacing where he’d laid with a pillow and he froze for a few moments as you shifted in your sleep, wondering if he’d get away with it. This was something he’d only done once before when he’d needed to go to the bathroom, but he figured now was just as important.
Levi was relieved when his movement didn’t wake you up and he leaned over to place a gentle kiss to your head before silently leaving the room. Lighting a candle in his office, his jaw set at seeing the pile of capes again, the annoyance returning. Those damn brats didn’t know how good you were to them. That night Levi stayed up, hand stitching each tear and rip expertly, until they looked almost brand new. Not long after he threw them all into a laundry hamper and made to wash the uniforms before hanging them up to dry. It didn’t take long before he washed his hands after dealing with those dirty clothes and slipped back under the covers with you, managing to avoid disturbing you this time too and the stern words he would have with the brats in the morning were his last thoughts as he slipped into an uneasy sleep.
⊱ ────── {.⋅ ➴ ⋅.} ────── ⊰
A clean laundry basket piled with freshly washed capes was slammed down on the table the next morning. Levi pinned a sharp glare on his squad as they sat eating breakfast in the mess hall, the few of them that were raising spoons to their lips froze instantly sensing his mood and they rather reluctantly looked towards their Captain.
“Explain why a pile of your fucking ruined capes were left with Y/n.” None of them moved, frozen to the spot and not willing to offer an answer. It only caused Levi’s eyebrows to furrow slightly, he would not relent until this was sorted, this situation was not going to happen again and he’d make sure of it.”
“They were torn and ripped, we thought Captain Y/n could help us.” Mikasa offered the explanation, seemingly taking the pressure off of anyone else responding.
“Did you consider when exactly she would have time to do that?” They remained quiet again, pinned under his gaze. “Y/n takes good fucking care of you damn brats.” They shrank slightly under his words, but this was too important for him to coddle them the way you did, he wouldn’t stand for anyone running you into the ground. “Take care of her too.” With that he left them with their freshly repaired capes and not another word on the matter, but when they found themselves with a more grueling training session than usual, he wouldn’t say it was completely unrelated.
⊱ ────── {.⋅ ➴ ⋅.} ────── ⊰
Despite promising to Levi to take care of yourself more, he was taking matters into his own hands for most of that day. Your heart had filled with appreciation for him seeing how he’d taken care of the capes and he’d brushed it off, but you thanked him anyway. Halfway through the day, he brought a tray of tea to your office and took a pile of your paperwork to sort through the details he could do. After dinner that night, Levi insisted you both went on a walk. It was something you both often enjoyed to do, a short reprieve from the busyness of the day to just spend time with one another.
As the sun set over the walls, the both of you walked side by side through the streets that were growing quieter. Levi’s hand had brushed against yours every now and then, distracting you from the casual conversation and bringing a smile to your face each time. Your relationship was a private one and Levi wasn’t particularly fond of public displays of affection, so only once most of the street had cleared did his fingers finally lace with yours.
By the time you both came back to the barracks, the courtyard was practically empty and darkness had crept over the sky, a faint orange glow was cast on their surroundings coming from the lights inside. Pausing for a second, you moved to stand in front of him, resting your hand on his arm while you moved to place a small kiss to his cheek. “Thank you Levi, I had a good day.”
His lips quirked into a soft smile “Don’t thank me y/n, I love you.”
“I love you too.” Those words seemed to cause his smile to widen slightly and you found it mirroring in your own expression as you both glanced at each other full of care. Gravitating towards each other, Levi angled his face towards yours and captured your lips lovingly. The kiss was soft and slow, at first, until your lips parted slightly and Levi’s tongue grazed your lips in such a sensually teasing way. His hands wrapped around your waist, pulling your body close while your arms wound their way around his neck with utter familiarity.
“Shit – go back! Go back!”
Both of you froze instantly at the sound of familiar voices, the moment between you instantly shattering from the intrusion of someone else. Levi looked over your shoulder and narrowed his eyes in disbelief of seeing the shocked and stunned looks his squad were giving them. You managed to turn in enough time to see Eren frantically trying to persuade his friends to turn around back the way they came, but sensing both of you looking at him, Eren froze too. It seemed it was too late for either yourself and Levi or his squad from avoiding this.
“What the fuck are you brats doing now.”
Your hands dropped from around Levi’s neck and you went to stand by him instead, rubbing the back of your neck awkwardly at the situation.
“We – uh, we – “ Eren tried to form an answer and looked to the others frantically hoping someone else would intervene, but Jean only pushed Eren forward a bit to speak on their behalf and he whipped around quickly an annoyed “Oi!” falling from his mouth and directed at his friend. His protest didn’t make a difference, since being pushed forward meant that Eren was now the focal point of Levi’s glare. “We came to find Captain y/n to apologize for overloading her with our work and offer this as an apology.”
With Eren remaining pinned under Levi’s intense glare, Sasha stepped forward outstretching the small paper bag. You stared at the kids in front of you, they didn’t need to apologise at all and you vaguely wondered what Levi had said to them. After standing still for a few moments you stepped forward to and when Sasha placed the bag on your hand, you glanced down at it, then at Levi’s squad.
“It’s your favourite from the market stall you like so much.” Connie offered, a wide grin on his face like it was the best idea in the world and it was, your heart was melting with the thought they’d put into this.
“I wouldn’t be too thankful yet Captain, Sasha ate one on the way here.”
“Mikasa!”
You covered your mouth with your hand, concealing the smile that was forming on your lips. In a way, you would have been worried if Sasha hadn’t eaten one.
“Thank you, you didn’t have to.”
“You take great care of us Captain, all of us. It’s the least we can do.” Armin offered and slowly the tension in the area that had been there moments beforehand eased away. You cast a look in Levi’s direction to notice the small smile that was on the edge of his lips, as if it was in approval.
“We’re eh – also sorry for interrupting your moment!”
“Tch. Just leave before I change my mind and give you all extra cleaning tomorrow.” The annoyance returned to his expression and you really did have to hide how much your smile was growing. If only they’d left it at the first apology, they could have managed to leave without reminding Levi again.
That seemed to make them clear the area quickly and the sound of their footsteps faded. “Captain Levi with Captain y/n?! I can’t believe it…” Even at a distance from them, you could both hear Eren’s voice work through his disbelief.
“She’s so different than him, how did they even get together?”
“I think they’re suited for one another, maybe they’re in love!”
“Damn brats they talk so fucking loud.” Levi grumbled as his squad’s voices faded in the distance, still discussing what they’d found out that evening. You supposed that was your relationship exposed to the whole regiment now, it wouldn’t take long for someone else to overhear.
You couldn’t find it in you to mind, your heart still soaring from the thoughtful gift they had gotten you and spending such a wonderful day with Levi. Opening the paper bag your eyes practically lit up with glee at seeing your favourite treat inside and Levi peered in to see as well before his hand swooped in and took one for himself.
“Hey!”
“What? I was the one who stitched their capes, I’ve earned some of this.” He took a bite of the food, a vague smug expression on his face and you only shook your head, wrapping your arm around his. “Next time they have a problem, I’ll send them to you then, since you’re so willing to help.” You hummed the reply, earning yourself an unamused look from Levi and you laughed softly. The both of you began to walk back inside to share the rest of what was in the bag and to relax for the evening with a cup of tea and each other’s company.

A/N: Hey everyone, I’m back! I apologize for the really long wait but I wanted to try something different where, instead of posting one story at a time as soon as I finish it, I wrote five stories and then I went back and edited them in the order I wrote them. It took so long because I’ve been writing a ton in the past week. Hopefully I can make up for the long wait by giving you guys several stories in the next few days or so. Thank you so much for the support on “Scalding”, I was not expecting it but it makes my really happy to know you guys liked it ❤️. Now, without further ado, here is my next Levi x Reader fic!
Warning: This one is super long so I actually had to split it up into two parts so it wouldn’t be such a huge pill to swallow. I will post the next chapter asap though, so keep an eye out for part two!
Summary: Erwin finds a dangerous assassin in the Underground while Levi is on a solo mission.

~~~
Erwin sighed and rubbed his temples to try to dispel the headache that was already building there, the message from the Military Police on his desk, mocking him. He glared at it, his eyes scanning over the words again.
Gods they were so incapable. He would never voice his frustrations aloud, but he wished, for once, they could deal with their own issues. Fight their own battles without having to drag the Survey Corps back to do all of the hard work for them.
Despite his annoyance, Erwin would not have normally been so frustrated, but this situation was different than usual due to the fact that Captain Levi was gone from the base. He had been sent off on a solo mission to get some more information for Erwin on the movements of the violent gangsters that were fighting with one of the Military Police branches.
“What’s today’s headache about?” The loud, chipper voice of his girlfriend, Hanji, made him look up and grunt at her and the stack of finished reports she held in her arms.
A/N: Here is part 2 of “The Angelus Mortis”! Part 1 is linked below if you haven’t read that part yet. Thank you for reading!
Part 1
~~~
The next day, Erwin woke up early to visit (Y/N) one last time before he had to hand her over to the MP’s. He sighed in disappointment. He thought he had been getting through to her, especially after she had given him her name, but he was left with nothing but false hope when she remained adamant about not answering any of his questions. He ran one of his large hands through his blonde locks in frustration as he made his way down the stone steps into the gloomy dungeon below.
He had no idea why he felt so conflicted when it came to this woman, why he had a feeling she was a better person than she was letting on. His heart battled with his brain as he walked, causing him to groan when he felt a headache begin to form. Why did he feel like he was missing something? Something important? He knew she would be a valuable asset to the Survey Corps if she cooperated, her strength rivaling that of Levi’s which would give them two vital weapons on the field. And he was sure that under Levi’s supervision she would flourish, maybe even develop a friendship with the sullen man. Maybe that’s why he felt so strange, because it was a missed opportunity?

🐉 Song Recommendation: “Dear Fellow Traveller” By: Sea Wolf 🐉
~~~
Levi looked up from where he was sitting on the sofa in his lover’s office, reading a book, at the sound of (Y/N)’s pained groan. He found her trying to suppress a wince as pain shot up her spine, one of her hands reaching back to rub between her shoulder blades while she tried to focus on her work. Levi sighed. He knew she had injured herself somehow, either through training or on the last expedition, but she refused to tell him how or where she had gotten hurt. On top of that, she also refused to let him help her fix it, always batting his hands away and claiming she was fine. He knew she had a high pain tolerance, always had, but now he was getting annoyed with her. She just needed to shove down her pride and let him help her. She was human after all, she clearly wasn’t immune to pain.
Despite her obvious discomfort, (Y/N) continued to work diligently. It was rare that she was working later than him, but lately more work had been dumped on her desk per her request, her way of trying to help her superiors by lessening their load. Levi couldn’t help but feel pride swell in his chest as he watched her write. She was so hardworking, always trying to pitch in where she could. He knew she was tired, but she kept pushing herself to try to take some of the weight off the shoulders of her superiors, claiming they did way more than necessary and it should be no problem for her to help them out a little. She wasn’t even a superior officer, still only a cadet, despite her older age. It was that determination and willingness to take care of others and work hard that drew Levi to her in the first place. It was also what was about to give her a promotion to Squad Leader, one he knew she deserved as he watched her tackle the horde of papers in front of her.
