On the Eve of Lightfall, here we go guardians!
So, my fireteam was joking around in the voice chat tonight, and someone brought up the concept of The Night Before Christmas, but as The Night Before Lightfall. I kept chewing on the idea as we were doing our activities this evening, and so the following poem was born:
The Night Before Lightfall
'Twas the night before Lightfall and all through the Tower,
The Guardians awaited a big shift in Power,
Their armor was hung up by Ada with care,
And knowledge the Black Fleet quite soon would be there.
The Ghosts were all nestled so snug with their Risen,
In hopes that the Traveler would survive this new schism.
And Zavala in his armor and Shaxx with his horn,
With Rasputin gone, we all are forlorn.
When far out in space there arose such a clatter,
The Vanguard assembled to see what was the matter.
Away to the hangar we dashed with all haste,
As fast as we could, there was no time to waste.
The moon with its Hauntings still fills us with dread,
With The Witness approaching, we can’t get ahead,
When what to our wondering eyes should appear,
But Osiris’s visions to keep us from fear.
With a brand new location, so neon and new,
We knew in an instant it was not all through.
And it sparked and glowed and was all filled with Strand,
And a safe place (for the moment) for us to land.
On Hunters! On Warlocks! On Titans so strong!
With Void! And with Solar! Arc, Stasis along!
To the top of the building! And to The Arcade!
With little Strand buddies the Warlocks have made!
As starlight before the nova ignites,
The Guardians readied for their respective fights.
So to the far reaches of space they flew out,
With their ships full of weapons, and hearts oh so stout.
And then in a twinkling a new class appeared,
All lovely and green and full of ads cleared.
To travel the rooftops and swing thru the world,
And cute little Strand cats with whiskers all curled.
But out in the distance The Witness still waits,
With the Darkness and Pyramids- the Black Fleet that they’ve Shaped.
We all are in danger of Collapse 2.0,
And even The Traveler has nowhere to go.
We spring to our ships, our Fireteams ready,
Our armor enhanced and our trigger fingers steady.
And so we all say, in the face of this threat,
“Eyes up, Guardian. It’s not over yet.”
I really want to show you my Guardian (guy from my avatar, yeah). This dude is a really stupid loser, but very kind and brave. The main thing is to remind him that the grenade launcher should not be pointed at his feet.
Translation:
Guardian: Oh, hey! Do you want to hear about my exploits?
Ghost: What are you doing here? Don't you see, my Guardian has been killed!.. again.

I was more than ready to meet you in my realm, both emotional and physical. In my psychological realm, I was ready to settle down with you. I was more than ready to send all doves to tell the world how much I love you. But unfortunately you weren't on the same page as me. My heart's bleeding excess blood and I can't take it anymore. Turning into a new page to heal myself. Verabschiedung!! Cíao!! Goodbye!!

Also me: let's do it on a 11x14 inch piece of paper with an entire unplanned background featuring some Neomuna rooftop fighting and some pouka propaganda mixed in. Oh, and btw let's start this during IB week when you're trying to gild your Iron Lady title again.

Myb considered spoilers, but it's all from the trailer so yeah, but still...
The Lightfall showcase was cool and all, but the Tormentor guy(s) look wayy too similar to Rhulk and it's making me go insane. I can't stop seeing the similarities and it's driving me nuts
Like--
The whole chest area, the grooves on their skin, the design of the waist cloth, the shoulders looking like Rhulk's weak spots before DPS, the eye-looking things between the armour, the red/black/silver/white color pallet, their cape looking like the tendeils that come out when Rhulk dies, even their hands and nails, the fact that it's the same SHADE of red--
Just putting the images next to each other makes me froth at the mouth.
AND their weapon lowkey looking like the shape on both the Upended (or anywhere regarding Vow/The Witness since it's probably it's 'signature shape' or something) and on the mural in the Pyramid + kinda like half of Lubrea's Ruin if it was made from the same material as Hearthshadow (all bendy and stuff);
Also, that it looks like Rhulk's been decapitated from the chin up and now just headless, apart from his lower jaw area, myb just a little slimer;
Probably some more things I'm just forgetting, bit yeah, you get my point.
This is ether a common opinion/theory, and with the lore from the seasonal fusion rifle, it's not that crazy to see it. Or I'm just looking too deep into it.
Maybe it's Rhulk's conciseness/the Luster the Witness gave him on Lubrae taking a different, more limited, form, only the wrath and ruin parts of him taking shape to help out with the Collapse. Or maybe it's a whole different species/all Disciples look like that, but that would be lame--
Ether way, they look cool, and the whole trailer got me super excited for Lightfall. And even if it's not Rhulk, anything close or even related, the new enemy still looks dope af.
Guess I'll just have to wait and see.

Jar-2 on Neomuna Jar uses a lot of Vex tech when they fight, They modify weapons, summon little vex gate/portals to maneuver around quickly, and shoot through to improve aim and impact, Wanna draw out a bunch of the ways they use vex tech and had fun with this one^^
