Au idea

What if Macaque was raised by a wind spirit never met wukong till he was on the jttw.

Macaque was traveling with his father to human villages selling charms, niknaks joules, poshens and other remedies(Mac's wearing glamorous & a mask to cover his face pops gave his scarf btw). Then they were returning home to their very magical forest with very magical inhabitants. Then they bump into the jttw gang wail in the same village heading the same direction so they join together and they go on for a while then monk-man and pops get kidnapped by some random demon. Mac out smarts them and gets his pops & tripitaka with out really hurting the demons and tripitaka is like "Why can't u handle it like that" and wukong is all pouty like "I handle things just fine". Mac just checking his pops is okey. Not giving a shit about wukong's side-eye glear. Then wukong realizes there's something off this Sierma guy. He tells tripitaka that night and the next day tripitaka pulls pops aside and tells him his son might not be human and pops says "i know he's a demon still does not change the fact he's my son " and goes back to camp to pack up (Tripitaka is left there flabbergasted) after a solid 2 minutes he dose the same. They make it to the forest and are told that can stay the night just they aren't allowed to hurt any of the crichers Mac'll take care of the misbehaving ones.

At this point none of the jttw gang have seen macaque's face so they don't know what type of demon he is, not even Wukong. Mac stays relatively close to his pops not talking much. Wukong is trying to get on Macs nerves pops stepping in between them and being an over protective of his son.

Then they get to what see what Mac looks like most of the gang was flabbergasted and Ao Lei is all "u pretty :D" simple friendly compliment. Wukong is smitten (he has been for a while) like

The gang leaves, after the journey they come visit some times especially Wukong. Pops is a little not happy that his son and the monkey king have a thing for each other (all protective dad like (ง’̀-‘́)ง).

But ya that the little au i have not much developed in how it'll work but I have fun with the concept. If u have questions go ahead and ask. I may make a design for pops & macaque later. Much love 💘

"Ther is a lake ahead we can set up there for lunch " Wukong mentioned to the others Zhu Bajie huffed "could you cool you fireworks we ain't runnin' got that wonder boy". Wukong ground "But I'm hungryyyyyyyy" Ao lie giggled "Bajie's right the lake isn't going any where and we got nothing but time" the pig grind "Thank you". Sha wujing chimed in "I am getting a little hungry two so we should pick up the piece." "We aren't running we aren'tthat far from if anyway." Tripitaka spoke sternly to them "Alright no running." Wukong said.

When they got there they we separated to te a man sitting under a tree's shad eating some food. The group pays him no mind and continues unpacking for ther break "If it's not to much to ask are you lot headed west?" The older man questioned Tripitaka looked to the man and nodded "We are." Wukong's head snapped to the man he passes his true site vision on the man and then he relaxes he was no threat. "Then I suppose we can travel together me and my son are vendors and we are heading back home he's a very skilled fiber and good strategist." the man said that last part with pride. "I'm not that great i just try to keep u from getting lost and eaten by some random demon." A nother voice is heard this one smooth as silk and sweeter than sugar filled with a teasing and playful tone.

The gang looked up at the tree to find a figure resting on one of it's branches. He wore a black liangmao on is head an a mask to cover his face, hair tide dack in a loose ponytail, under is scarf he wore a dachang. He hoped off the tree and sat next to hi father. The man smiled "I suppose we should introduce ourselves I'm Shan gou and this is my son Gequ Baoshi."Baoshi slightly baud slightly to them "You can call me Mihou if you prefer." Tripitaka smiled gently to them "It's a pleasure meeting you both." Wukong was silent taking in the site of Shan's son he blinkes back to reality almost immediately and continues eating tring to push out this strateg fuzzy feeling in his chest. He'll deal with it later right now food.

What he didn't realize is that someone was paying attention. A mischievous grin placed its self on Ao lie's face. Unfortunately for Wukong he didn't notice the slight tint of pink on his cheeks. Things were going to getting interesting and Ao lie can wait to see where it goes.

Lego Monkie Kid Rewatch: Season 3

Episode 10, Samadhi Fire Part 1/2

Just a warning, I do talk about season 5 for a moment, but I'll try to keep it labeled and separate so you can easily skip over it without getting spoiled if you want.

Now that I know a bit of the Journey to the West, I have only just realised how impossible it would be for the pilgrims to be here helping baby Red Son.

No way could this rage baby Red Son have thought up clever scheams to catch and eat Tang Sanzang the way JTTW Red Son did. Not to mention at the end JTTW Red Son ended up going to Guanyin's villain reform program.

On the other hand, I don't believe the sealing of Samadhi Fire would have happened before the journey. Wukong is clearly wearing his post-pilgrimage get up and the pilgrims all act like they know each other.

All of this to say, just how many differences are there between the show's journey and the novel's.

Then again, the fact that Iron Fan and Bull King are still in love and married should have been the first tip off for me.

Season 5 Spoiler Talk

I am curious, are all of these differences a result to Nine-Headed Demon's interference? What the heck did the guy have to do to insure Red Son would be born late enough to be baby during Tang Sanzang's life time? Is the Nine-Headed Demon responsible for the Samahdi fire being so out of control in a young Red Son? In JTTW, Red Son still wields it and has great control over it.

"For the Samahdi fire to be split in three, you must harmonise you're energies!"

These three? Harmonise? A hard headed demon king, a sentient rock monkey, and a duty bound celestial ex-mortal? Sanzang was basically asking for failure here.

Wukong: 'Psssh, this is easy.'

The notorious, lets everything go to chaos in a box around him while continues to be horse actually stepped up and took action. Now I know for sure this is post-pilgrimage! Character development!

Reprimands in sarcasm and bonks heads when annoyed.

In the last episode when Tang said this it was more from Macaque's perspective and thus Tang sounded desperate and hopeless. He really seemed like he'd given up.

Now, thanks to these three shots… everything feels different. Same lines, same delivery. But now I believe Tang isn't giving up. He's got a plan!

I have not talked enough about the sound design in this show! I love the sounds they use for magic. I'm pretty sure that each magic user plus each different power their unique chime/gong! Examples:

Tang's has a very clear and simple ring.

Ne Zha's sounds like fairy twinkle lights, all light, airy, and chimey.

Wukong main magic is like a bamboo thunking against a stone, or a a small stone creating ripples in a pond. Wish I knew what made this sound. I have been conditioned to be hyped every time I hear it.

Interestingly, MK's magic sounds the same. I believe this is what further fed into the belief that Wukong had gifted MK his magic instead of it coming from the kid. The shows own little misdirection!

But really, I think the reason for the similarity in their magic, both ability and sound, stems from them both being made by Nuwa as celestial stone monkeys.

The whole reason I thought to bring it up was this transition. We go from a third person perspective to looking through Wukong's eyes. and the first thing to clue us in that this is happening is the sound of Wukong's gold vision activating before suddenly the image blinks gold and we find ourselves zooming out of Wukong's eyes as he watches the scene from far away.

The way they did this was such a cool transition as well as an awesome example of how the golden vision works! Superman, you wish you're eye powers were this cool!

Red, blue, green. Long ago, the three Samadhi Fires were separated and the great destruction was extinguished.

Only when the three colors are found again can they unite and create- PINK FIRE!

Wai- what? That's not how color theory works. How did I never notice before? The full might of the Samadhi Fire is pink.

Love the shattered chains, and the washing away of the blue aura to symbolize LBD's hold over him being broken.

Anyone else think it's really cool that Wukong can just pull Macaque out of his shadows?

Ah, so Tang didn't have a plan. He just did it because it felt right. shakes my head Oh Tang, and for a moment I thought you were competent.

Seriously though, I am now forever scarred by the word destiny. I hate it.

No please interrupt. We need you MK! You're the only one who could possible salvage this situation. Everybody else just keeps making it worse!

Macaque- ignoring the child in fiery pain to celebrate his freedom.

An AU where all the demon and heavenly characters in LMK go completely insane, lost to time and become lifeless husks only capable of bursts of celestial power and foggily recalling their beings and responsibilities

An AU with Mac as Pedro Pas- I mean- Joel, and Bai He is Ellie in a winter apocalypse

An AU where Mac brings Bai He to the bus stop for school everyday and takes care of her and grows closer to her

An Au where LMK is a live action show and all the characters are just actors and do silly blooper shenanigans together

A Whisper of the Heart AU where Mei is Shizuku, RedSon is Seiji, and Wukong is Nishi

An AU where it's literally just Monsters Inc but Wukong is Sulley, Nezha is Mike, MK is Boo, Mac is Randall (even tho I think Peng suits him better), PIF is Roz, and Azure is Waternoose

A Perfect Blue AU where MK is slowly disassociating between his monkey form and his actual self (I never did anything with it, it's just one of my favorite movies)
