This might be a bit scattered but I wanted to get my thoughts out.
So tonight I met up with my ex's family for the first time in a few weeks and...it went alright enough. I mean, I'm on pretty good terms with my ex, and his family has essentially become mine while we were dating, so it's not like this was going to be terrible or anything. But i've started to notice that I get a little sick when I think about him? And tonight it kept happening (idk maybe because he was right in my face or something) to the point where I started wishing we were still together.
So I was biking home and I was saying these affirmations just to reason with myself. One of them was "I learned and I loved, I learned and I loved." That one just stuck. I don't know why, maybe it's just catchy.
I made a stop on my ride back because the view was gorgous. We have wetlands and prairie really close to my house, and the grass blowing in the wind mixed with the colors of the late sunset... It was beautiful. So I stopped to think.
I didn't necessarily call out to the gods or anything. I was just sitting with my thoughts at first. I think I might have called to Lord Apollon at some point, but I didn't sit to talk to them, yk?
Then "You're Beautiful" by Alecia Keys popped into my head??? Just out of nowhere??? I don't know.
Kinda makes me think Lord Apollon is trying to tell me something.

I see you in the color gold, I cant help but admire it's precious radiance
I hear you in every beautiful song I hear, sending chills up my spine and bringing me to tears
I taste you in the first comforting sip of coffee, the bitter-sweet warmth slips down my throat and warms my chest
I feel you in the sun hitting my face, the contrast between serenity and grit- it's a beautiful juxtaposition
I smell you in the incense I light for you, the divine aroma fills my lungs and heart and mind
you, Lord Apollo are worthy of worship for you bring healing I have never felt before for you provid peace unknown
it's so sweet seeing my devotional posts for Apollo continue to get notes during the winter. It's cold and dark but we all still want to be connected with him, maybe even more because of the lack of sunlight. idk. just thinking. Hellenic pagans are amazing. Apollo is amazing. 🔆
and a happy winter solstice to all those celebrating it.
