STAR WARS : THE LAST JEDI
Ok, so first of all I’m French so it was released today in my country and I’ll try to tell you what thought of it.
It was definitely the best of the latest ones, the director really succeeded in distancing himself from the first saga if we compare it to “the force awakens”.
It was long in length but It wasn’t boring at all, you won’t even want to glance at your phone to check the time.
Many things happen, it’s really exciting, it’s funny, it’s beautiful, it’s also serious and there are several moments with twist plots more or less surprising although always without being disappointing.
There are a few things that are maybe a bit too much in the way that we can see that they are really trying to show this or that and we can see exactly that. It’s not always subtle.
Nevertheless, the film still has the « star wars’touch » in the way it’s made which is good because the director should distance himself from the first saga in regards of the story, the plot but not completely and certainly not in every way. So, there’s a good balance.
Overall, it’s personally one of the best Star Wars films ever. I wholeheartedly encourage you to go see it !
