Ssooo.... was not quite sure how to announce this.. buuutt -
I HAVE WRITTEN A WHOLE EVER AFTER HIGH AU FANFIC! This is one the first "book" in what I hope will be many! It is completed and I hope anyone who sees this will be interested in reading it!! i deddd reading this post. Defo. Milton’s like maybe if I am imposing people gonna listen to me. This seems like it could be a rumour at EAH (started by Kitty or Sparrow or Ramona probs) and then now people can’t help but burst into laughter when they getting scolded by him which makes him rant more. Like all the people who were scared of him (probs Hopper? Idk he seems the type. maybe Ginger too) are now pretty neutral and confident around him. I can imagine them losing their ish when Milton mistakenly stomps his foot like a child. Thank you for this beautiful and amazing post.
I like Milton Grimm's tendency to loom ominously at basically every available opportunity because it's just funny. He's supposed to be this composed, knowing man of power and instead he has to resort to intimidation that a teenage bully wouldn't use to get people to listen to him. Beautiful.
so to start off this idea of an EAH reboot, I'm wondering if Milton Grimm would be willing to commit murder to keep the perfect story image. or the "intentional poofing" of characters and stories that don't fit the perfect fairytale formula. Things that people don't really care to retell.
The wiki states Milton is indeed one of the original Brothers Grimm who wrote the stories to begin with, and because of that and my own personal feelings as a writer, i feel he would have a hard time actually killing his characters and stories, so instead he curses them into a forever sleep and erases every mention of them everywhere in Ever After. Instead opting to send their bodies in glass coffins off to a different land. One that has has a labyrinth of a catacomb that would take hundreds of years to find the room they're kept in.
But now, those hundreds of years are up, and they've been found by a group of ghouls trying to figure out the secrets of their families and species. Just stumbling upon miles of miles of tall walls covered in cases of sleeping people, all labeled nice and neat for safe keeping.
None of the names mean anything to the majority of them. Except for Twyla, she knows the stories of every single one and recites the summaries easily. But what to do with this information, no one is sure. They can't just leave them there, but can they be sure it's safe to wake them? how would they even go about doing that?
but yadda ya, they wake them up, they end up trying to get back to Ever After but it doesn't work out, they end up in some mysterious other place and start making a new home there. I don't really have anything more than that, feel free to add more
