"The wheat ripens, and waits not for the scythe. The farmer who waits too long, it were better that he use the scythe to rip his own stomach out than to stay his scythe when the wheat ripens. The harvest moon wanes... and then comes winter. An empty belly, the body sans belly, gurgling within or bloody on the ground, what does it benefit a man if he gains his soul and loses the world?"

Its a First-person point-and-click puzzle horror game where you play as someone (we dont know exactly who he is, but he's voiced by Tom Schalk, SAME GUY WHO VOICED GORDON O'BRIAN) looking for his missing wife, Charlotte, all while trying to avoid eldritch horrors and decoding puzzles in ancient tome!

Me and a couple of friends are planning on making a wir point and click adventure visual novel called wreck-it-romance (at least thats jsut the prototype name) and low key we think the fandom would yearn for something like that if they already haven't.
We are still trying to figure out how we're gunna do this since we need: Artists (character sprites, scenes, backgrounds) Music composers
Coders
Voice actors
Writers
stuff like that but I don't really know how to really advertise an idea like this..plus I'm just making a post like this on my personal tumblr for the first time so if anyone that does read this and is interested just hmu or stick around for more updates :3
So it's not *technically* a Hidden Object game, but I finished The Big Secret of a Small Town awhile ago. In short, I liked it! But I can see why it has mixed reviews...
I have such beef with "Hint" buttons that only tell you vague ideas on what to do and where to go. None of the cutscenes had subtitles despite being low-volume. (The voice acting was still very good!) The story wasn't anything super intriguing, it uses a type of unreliable narrator, but the game had cool aesthetics + art that I liked. It also had more puzzles than I was expecting, some real challenging, so that's a bit of a turn-off for me.
Honestly, I love point-and-click games a lot! Hidden Object are my favorite, and I don't know why games like this show up in the HOPA Steam tags. This is probably a category I don't mind getting mistagged, as there are more non-relevant/worse games clogging up the Hidden Object tag on Steam... :/
Ahhhh the torture of having to make a choice. I just finished Edna the break out and now I have to decide between 7 other point and click adventures to play next ಥ‿ಥ
Plz gimme some cool art to look at, thanks :3
I can’t promise it’s cool, but here you go!
This is some concept art I made for my digital art class. It’s a game I’d like to make one day. It’s called Necropolis and it follows Detective Burns, a detective with a flaming passion for justice, and Pail, a human who’s really not supposed to be here. I haven’t decided much past that.
Next assignment is an animation relating to this, so expect a cutscene maybe?
