PRODIGAL SON THEORY!! SPOILERS NEXT PARAGRAPH!!

Skipping the explanation: Watkins is the reason why Ainsley is a killer.

John Watkins was Ainsley's "imaginary friend" when she was little. We know Watkins was a killer at that point in his life.

The season 2 teaser also has (I'm assuming) Ainsley as a little girl. She appears to be having a tea party with stuffed animals. There's an empty seat, possibly for an imaginary friend. I think the empty seat is for John Watkins. Reminding us that he visited Ainsley when she was little.

My theory is that Watkins was trying to teach Ainsley about killing. He knew that Martin intended to kill Malcolm, and we know (when Malcolm's an adult) that Watkins wants to make Malcolm a killer.

What if he wanted to make Ainsley a killer because he knew that there wouldn't be a chance to make Malcolm one? Maybe he even brought her animals to practice on.

Since Ainsley was so young when Martin was arrested, (and the tunnel was closed, ending the visits) she wouldn't necessarily remember everything she was taught. But if Watkins did bring her animals to practice on, and if she liked it, some part of Ainsley's subconscious might have remembered what that felt like.

When she slit Endicott's throat, her face is calm. Then there was some time before she stabs him multiple times. When Endicott falls, dead, and she's just standing there, Ainsley isn't ashamed or shocked by what's she's done. She's just calm and is curious why that just happened.

That's not a normal reaction. While her technique doesn't seem professional, her reaction seems like it's not her first time killing.

I think that's because of John Watkins and not because she's Martin Whitley's daughter. Thanks for sitting through that!

The tunnels weren't closed, but I'm pretty sure the room with the tunnel was, I just skipped over that because I'm not very organized.

I like the thought of him bringing her humans to practice on! It gives her an even better experience for killing!

We All Wander Away From Our Father, But He Always Joyously Runs To Meet Us & Embrace Us When We Return

We all wander away from our Father, but he always joyously runs to meet us & embrace us when we return to him. Ā I squandered many of the gifts & opportunities God offered to me, but he never stopped watching & waiting for my return. Ā And I am so glad I came back to him.

Today we celebrate the Feast of St. Luke the Evangelist, without whom we would not have the parable of the Prodigal Son. Ā I hope you will join me today in thanking our Lord for giving us a lesson so full of hope, mercy, and inspiration for all of us who go astray. Ā God bless you

Today, I Found Comfort In Jesus By Watching A Documentary Of Carlo Acutis. For The Past Two Weeks, I've

Today, I found comfort in Jesus by watching a documentary of Carlo Acutis. For the past two weeks, I've been going through a heavy spiritual struggle and felt somewhat distant. But once again, Jesus reminded me that I have friends in high places, gently pulling me back to Himself through them. As I was preparing lessons for our next meeting, I started watching a documentary on Carlo Acutis to introduce to my 8th graders. There was a moment in the film when I saw a clip of Carlo as a baby, which immediately filled me with immense joy. It was near the beginning too. As I saw the brief clip, it struck me how rare it is to see a baby picture of someone destined to be a future Saint. The joy just kept on overwhelming me to the point of tears, and I couldn't stop crying. My heart was just being filled with more and more joy. It was unstoppable. I was perplexed as I felt this was no ordinary joy or tears of happiness. Later in the documentary, as I tried to gather myself back from crying, I saw another clip where a man who visited Carlo's resting place was moved to tears as well and he too could not sobbing for a while as he was reconverted back to his Catholic Faith. Carlo seems to have this profound effect on people. I believe it's his deep love for Jesus that we all senseā€”something so beautiful, it's beyond words. I canā€™t wait to share him with my class.

Yes!!! Prodigal son was soooo good! Malcolm Bright deserved better. And Ainsley too. The dynamics were so good Iā€™m actually getting irritated again because I had heard the show could have been picked up by Netflix but it never happenedšŸ˜ so much unresolved plotšŸ˜ Iā€™m heartbroken again lol

IT WAS GOING TO BE PICKED UP??? WHAT HAPPENED???šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜

I want my unhinged boi backkkšŸ˜

Gil stepping up as a parental figure, like I can't even begin to describe how much I adore found family or in this case the family that chooses you and you love them back. And the dynamic that he shares with his team, especially Edrisa, is very veryyy dear to me like I would fight for them. They are just sooo *incoherent mumbling and crying*

I think this is one of those shows where I genuinely loved the mother, because Jessica Whitly is not a plain character. She has her fears and yet she's just as unhinged if it's about her children or anyone she genuinely cares for. She's sassy too, I love that. I think being sassy and unhinged is a genetic thing in the Whitly family.

As I'm writing about them now, I miss them more. I remember watching it daily when it aired. What made it stand out from most shows, for me, is that it has a protagonist who is utterly haunted but it does not stop him from being absolutely hilarious. In fact, any other show would've made him stoic and something stereotypical. Distanced, so to speak. But everytime he's on screen, it feels like he's alive; we are not mere spectators. We feel his grief, his desperation to be his own person, his love, friendship, everything.

This makes him and every character on this show special.

I'm sooo happy that you decided to talk about this showwwšŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ’–šŸ’–šŸ’–

I get the vibe that even before Martin was arrested Malcolm was still kinda an outcast. I think his dad was really his best friend which made everything even worse. So it was even easier for kids who always thought Malcolm was kinda odd and weird to bully him after they found out about his father being a serial killer. And Malcolm must have felt so alone, with his mother dealing with her own grief and Ainsley being much younger and his father gone and everyone seemed to blame him for everything that went wrong and Ugh

HOW ON GALLIFREYS NAME CAN THEY CANCELL PRODIGAL SON!!?

The showā€™s extremly awesome. I, personally, havenā€™t watched any episodes since the season continued in april because of Uni, but my mom and I were waiting for the season finale to have a marathon.

This show...I feel related to Malcom simply because I have a shitty dad and I know how it feels that your dad tries to manipulate you; and seen him fight it, being the best Malcom he can be...That hit hard.

Itā€™s thanks to this show that I KNOW a have a fighting chance!

I saw the SEASON finale (I still have faith with this!) of Prodigal Son last night with my mom, and Iā€™m NOT ok!!

I had a mental breakdown followed by an intense anxiety attack that took my mom about an hour to calm me down.

They just CANNOT finish the series like that!Ā

Bastards...
