Varian: ATE AN ENTIRE LEMON. HE DIDN’T SQUEEZE IT OUT ONTO ANYTHING. HE DIDN’T CUT IT INTO PIECES. HE DIDN’T EVEN TAKE THE SKIN OFF. HE JUST STUFFED THE ENIRE THING INTO HIS MOUTH AND SWALLOWED. I’VE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING ELSE SO HORRIBLE IN MY LIFE.
Rapunzel: to see a marching band!
Varian: What good can I say about someone trying to kill us?
Rapunzel: Aw, Varian... if you’re stuck, why not try... saying something you wish someone would say to you?
Varian: ...
Varian: ‘You are unbanned from free ham sandwich day.’
*during be very afraid*
Rapunzel: Are you okay?
Varian: Yeah, why?
Rapunzel: You’ve been muttering ‘I’m not afraid of no ghost’ for the past 15 minutes and it’s starting to get concerning
HC that one day the main group was helping Varian with something.
He handed one of them blueprints and told them to “give it to the responsible person once they’re ready for it”
They spend the next ten minutes trying to figure out who Varian considers “the responsible one” until Varian sticks out his hand and says,” Alright, the responsible one needs it now.”
Are you taking any tangled the series Varian story request PLEASE let me know!?
Generally, yes! I take requests for any of the fandoms seen on my blog or other accounts (wattpad, AO3, etc)
The likelihood of me doing them, however... varies.
Rapunzel as a Skykid from Sky: Children of the Light!!
I wanted to challenge myself to give her a cape and I know some Sky capes look like scarves, so I designed this golden braided scarf ✨ This also pays homage to both her haircuts at the same time!!
I also thought it'd be cute for her to have the sun symbol of her kingdom on the front of her dress, right where her centre light is 💖
And finally, I couldn't leave out Pascal! I remembered how in Sky, butterflies normally look yellow, but when you hold them they turn pink. Sky Pascal is similar: on his own he's green, but when Rapunzel holds him, his glow cycles through all the colors!
This was super fun and I'm hoping to turn more of my favourite characters into Sky kids soon!!

And that's another installment in my crossover between Tangled the Series and Sky: Children of the Light! I took the opportunity to redesign Raps slightly, and Varian may get the same treatment if I go forward with a Sky idea I have for him 👀
