Actually we can make it into one concept, where ALL penguins (or all beside Rico) left Skipper for some reason and he has to kinda change to get them back tougether (... we all know from which new movie this idea comes from right, xd?)

But if we'll make all penguins left Skipper, then to who Rico will go? And why? And if he didn't left him, then why he didn't?

(And maybe we just don't think about timeline in this concept, cause it actually doesn't work together, xd)

We all love to wonder what would have happened if Kowalski had gotten fed up with Skipper undermining him and joined Dr. Blowhole... but in regards to the movie verse... what would have happened if Private had gotten fed up with Skipper constantly underestimating him and infantizing him and joined Dave?

I agree with this kinda too much. Also, can I just be in some corner happy that I'm actually not the only one in this fandom from Poland beside some of my friends from school. 'cause I felt kinda lonely lately

the Exclusively polish experience is never being able to watch original Penguins of the Madagascar because the polish dub is superior in every single way

Like, even now he really trusts small amount of people... after that he'll lose faith in his own opinions about people. And even if his brothers or even his own "mind" tell him that a new person is not going to hurt him, he still won't listen to them or himself.

Skipper and Alex’s friendship is the funniest thing. They're both leaders. They fight over who's in charge. They have the same ideas and processes. They can't work together. Skipper thinks Alex as a hippie. Skipper hallucinated Alex as a spirit guide. Skipper remembers Alex the most to help GUIDE HIM WHILE HE HAD MEMORY LOSS. They verbally bully each other the whole time. Alex encouraged Skipper to sing and dance. Alex wanted to chew him out for abandoning them in Africa. They're happy to see each other. They hate each other's guts. They're friends.

My hot Penguins of Madagascar take is, Doris should NOT have gotten with Kowalski in the final episode. The dude basically stalked her at multiple intervals and did not take NO for an answer no matter how nice about it she was, he was even gonna try to FORCE her to love him with the love-u-lator thing! Kowalski my man I love you but that was not your finest moment. He REALLY should have moved on from Doris, hell I think the 'Penguin Who Loved Me' episode SHOULD have ended like that! It'd be a nice moment of character growth for Kowalski, turning down Doris instead of the other way around! But alas..

Took me long enough, but I finally have something about their interaction.

So, Parker was introduced to Marlene about 3-4 months before the "Return Revenge of Dr. Blowhole."

At first, he didn't believe that she could help him in any matter, but after a while, he changed his mind. Marlene just made his work much easier (+ she could possibly know something about what Doris likes, ofc from Kowalski. Marlene and Parker also knew from Blowhole that Doris is his sister.)

And even after Blowhole had his memories erased, they shared information about penguins with each other.

(Marlene also told Parker how to pressure Kowalski to work with him in season 3

Headconing most tpom characters as a variety of nationalities is fun, but also... penguins switching between English and their national languages or those that they learned over time

Like Kowalski switching between Polish and English from time to time just because he forgot a word in one of them.

And Private knowing basic Polish just because how many polish people emigrated to England.

Or Rico speaking to Skipper mostly in Spanish (I hc Rico as Mexican or smth and Skipper was hiding there for 8 years... so he must know spanish) because it's just easier to him than speaking English.

And Skipper is just being a multilingual being, as a result of his story or missions...

I didn't think that my post about penguins' nationalities would create some kind of a chain of other people's headcanons... but I'm really pleased with that

Anyway - want to know from where an idea that Skipper is German originates?

I've found this, I think a year ago, on Skipper's wiki page (link there)... and actually created his backstory on this information, xd

Not sure how much time has actually passed between the Penguins of Madagascar movie and tv show, but I just want to point out that by season two of the tv show Private is at least 12 years old. He has his 10th birthday in the Penguins movie, another birthday in the Penguins of Madagascar comics, and yet another birthday in The Penguins of Madagascar comics (yes there's a distinction in titles with and without the "the").

It's also really sweet how Skipper grows as a penguin and tries his hardest with each passing year to make Private's birthday great. We see in the Penguins movie that he doesn't really pay attention to all that Private wants, yet he still tries to make an effort and goes as far as breaking into Fort Knox to try to make Private happy.

Then in the Penguins of Madagascar comics he tries to actually do stuff that Private would enjoy, such as making a cake and throwing a birthday party, all of which he tries to make perfect and keep as a surprise.

Later still, in The Penguins of Madagascar comics, he finally gets on his A game in terms of birthday parties and gathers the whole zoo together to throw Private a party.

Extra duos and trios I've come up with in the meantime:

Parental duo: Marlene and Skipper (change my mind, both of them are parents of the rest)

Chaotic (bitches) trio: Rico, King Julien and Marl (sometimes Kowalski would join)

Nerds with hiperfixations: Private and Kowalski

Last 2 braincells: Maurice and Marlene

Marlene and Rico would be 100% drawing besties

I have weird feeling that before showing up to Kowalski in "The Penguin Who Loved Me", Parker just went to Marlene's place to talk about mission + random stuff -> them both looking at Kowalski trying his anti-gravity socks and Parker not believing that he is the most clever one from Penguins =v=

Mini bonus idea: (kinda based on personal experience...) I think that at least one of penguins would just feel jealous for "new" Marlene's relationships. The fact that she betrayed him is one thing, but concept that she is having possibly better time with other people and not them anymore (abandonment issues?) -> especially thinking that beside Parker, also she and Hans would get along together quite well

One thing that is so funny in retrospect is how Julien's crown is so sought after in All Hail King Julien, and is meant to be this highly coveted item that has been passed down for generations, yet in the films Julien just willingly gives it away at the drop of a hat.

And then in The Penguins of Madagascar he again gets upset when he loses it, but then is totally fine after it's revealed that he keeps several spare crowns on hand.

If Marlene is being a spy, Kitka is being a hitman, and Doris is "just as bad as her brother" and if all of them possibly work for/with Blowhole...

It just makes them something like "totally spies"...

So, for our beloved mess of penguin/human being I headcanon that:

his actual name is: Anna Leo Weissman, but to avoid recognition after Denmark, he just sticked to Skipper (only Hans and Kowalski know real one)

born in Germany (more context there - tags: link) on 17.11.19xx

transmasc + biromantic + acespec

left handed but can also write with his right one

languages he knows: German, English, Danish, Spanish + little bit of Japanese and Polish (bc of Kowalski)

totally a cat person (especially since I gave them a cat -> Maryś/Mary)

as shown in tpom -> he likes building models of ships... but also lego models. He'd have couple of shelfs with his models presented =w=

(about "The return of the revenge of dr. Blowhole"): he hasn't regained all his memories until "The penguin who loved me" -> he has got most of his more recent memories but older ones, like from his childhood, were "locked" from him until he was snapped again with the mind jacker

at some point, he was in an actual relationship with Hans (...before "Denmark incident")

for sure has great health insurance... like basically all of the penguins, xd

has PTSD and insomnia/migraines from time to time (and possibly is neurodivergence)

Honestly I find it pretty surprising that nobody really talks about the parallels between Alex and King Julien. They’re so similar yet so different. Both love dancing and music, were threatened by ‘evil uncle’ type rivals, grew up with found families instead of their biological ones, and even have the title King (though Alex’s is metaphorical). What mostly sets them apart is their connection with other animals. Despite being the most popular attraction at the zoo, Alex was treated as an equal by the other zoo animals and became more down-to-earth because of it. Julien, on the other hand, could never live or even completely comprehend a life that wasn’t above the rest of the lemurs. It’s such unexplored territory to see them interact one on one.

Private definitely wears an old jacket of Skipper’s from when he was younger. It was a little big at first but he’s grown into it

we can also... clearly see in The Lost Treasure of the Golden Squirrel* how he tried to somehow save her from being kidnapped by the Rat King and how hurt he looked later when Maurice brought up that fact.

Everyone LISTEN I have come to a very important realization that is completely not delusional.

(Also don't be fooled this is purely about skilene you'll get it at the end of my rambling trust.)

So, I watched The Otter Woman episode right after The Falcone and the Snow Job okay and we all know how down bad skipper was for both Kitka and "Arlene" BUT when it was Kitka he was so down bad that he didn't even think Kitka might have kidnapped Julien despite the evidence, like sure the evidence was wrong but my point is despite EVERYTHING and EVERYONE telling him Kitka is the culprit he kept believing she wasn't. And in The Otter Woman despite being more down bad than ever the moment he realized this "Arlene" might have done something to Marlene he didn't even give "Arlene" the benefit of doubt not even slightly did he want to prove she wasn't the culprit. No, the possibility of Marlene being in danger snapped him out of it instantly. And im. So normal about this information.
