Scar's Adopted Brother Ch.1: Life as the Little Brother
Ch.2
(Epilogue)
Crow is a male, black maned lion with a rusty golden-red body, and coal black eyes with flecks of silver and green throughout his iris'. He is also smaller than other lions in his family's bloodline. All the other lions also have a golden-tan coloured body with a bright, golden mane with silver streaks throughout the mane with reddish brown eyes; the only probable reason as to why Crow has a black mane is because his father has a black mane.
His father was chosen by Crow's mother as her mate to rule this pride with her. Crow is the second born son to the king and queen of the Draconian savannah territory; with his older brother, Shyam; a large and bulky tannish brown male lion with a silvery-golden mane who's destined to be the next ruler of the Draconian territory. However Shyam is an arrogant, selfish lion who uses his power to get what he wants, he also bullies smaller lions including his only brother. Crow doesn't think about it too hard as he is currently training himself to take Shyam on for leadership.
Crow has been training secretly so that he has better endurance, speed, and agility; developing lean muscles so he's not too bulky but has great strength at the same time. He's been learning as much as he can about fighting strategies, the most common and used attacks, the best ways to navigate harsh terrain as well as how to intimidate someone, all so that one day he can overthrow Shyam.
———————
(Summer)
Shyam has been the ruler for nearly three months now, he hasn't learned very much seeing as he almost always just thinks for himself. He even sent out a hunting party of only two lionesses. One of them came back badly injured from a fight with an antelope which managed to use their small number to its advantage. When she returned, Shyam merely waved off the injury and continued to move their pride through harsh days with scorching sun and barely any water.

(Story Begins)
(Winter)
Crow's POV:
It's the middle of winter now, Shyam has been ruler for nearly a year and we've already lost a quarter of our population to starvation, dehydration, or from dead tiredness. I'm extremely worried, however, mainly for my mother because she has fallen ill, and Shyam has been exiling elder lions who have fallen ill or need help to survive. I believe Shyam will even kill her if she refuses to leave, and I don't plan on letting that happen.
———————
Shyam has settled the pride down in an area surrounded by some brush to try and keep the cold wind out partially. I see him walking towards me, I sit as tall as I can to not seem weak to him; heck I'm surprised he hasn't tried to kill me yet.
He simply walks past me, his golden-silver man flicking in the wind whilst his amber eyes shift menacingly over to our mother. He walks forward until he's standing right in front of her. Out of nowhere he pounces forward and tackles her to the ground, growls of anger and pain being produced from the tussle. Father only stares in shock knowing he's too weak to stop Shyam.
Anger bursting through my veins, I get up and ram my shoulder into Shyam's rib cage with such strength that he is thrown nearly seven feet away. My body is bursting with energy, adrenaline, and hatred; urging me to get revenge on all those years of fighting, and for hurting our mother - the only one who ever truly trusted and believed in me.
I stared at Shyam as he pushed his body off the ground and looked back to see who his attacker was. Unsurprisingly his face lit up with joy as I always knew he wanted a reason to fight and kill me, a valid reason to finally get rid of me once and for all.
"Well well well. If it isn't my baby brother Crow." Shyam snarled with malice as he strided forward and began to strut in a circle around me. I just stood there, my tail slowly flicking from side to side as I listened, watching his every move for the slightest hint on when and where he would try to attack me. Shyam turned and sharply lunged at me, but I simply fell to the ground, turning my body upwards, allowing me to claw at his belly, leaving several gash marks on his body which began to bleed profusely.
"I challenge you for leadership of this pride Shyam!" I roared, but it sounded more like the loudest thunder. I see him getting quite annoyed by not being able to land a single blow on me, so I decide to wait knowing his attacks would be out of anger which makes them much easier to see coming.
Shyam gives off a fake humorous laugh, then turns to me with a serious expression, and growling.
"If you challenge me, do not be afraid when I kill you."

"If you challenge me, do not be afraid when I kill you."
That was all Shyam said before surging forward at me. I swiftly dodge his attack, slamming my right paw down on top of Shyam's back, causing him to fall to the floor in pain. The shear force of this attack caused a loud snapping sound to be heard as he released a roar of agony. He tried to stand up but wasn't very successful as he just fell to the ground again, only his upper body moving to his commands.
I pin Shyam down with a paw placed over his chest.
" Brother... please, I ask for your mercy." Shyam begged as he stared up at me in fear.
'What a pathetic excuse of a leader, it'll be fun to finally end his stupidity,' I thought as I stared down at his weak, trembling body, my eyes glinting with mischief.
"As you said. Do not be afraid when I kill you." I growled lowly, unsheathing my claws and piercing through Shyam's throat. His death wasn't quick, nor was it long; his desperate gasps for breath were silenced as he bled to death.
I turned and looked at the pride, who in turn looked at me with a new found hope.
"Kerberos, get a scouting group together to find a campsite for us to stay in tonight, I will choose several lionesses to be in a hunting party judging that you all look starved. Also find some herbs to treat any of our wounded or ill." I sternly ordered before going to check on my mother.
"Yes, sir!" Kerberos responded before carrying out his orders. With those orders everyone looked at me in gratitude, my parents gazing at me with adoration and respect.
———————
That was the start of a new and successful pride, whose leader was challenged by many other strong and large lions; but Crow won each time by using speed, agility, stamina, and strength.

Ch.2 Ch.4
Since we are a nomadic pride - or tribe as we prefer - we move to new lands quite often in order to not use all of our supplements and resources, since we do value other animals' lives, and how they'd have to live if we chose to stay in one land.
I was leading my pride through a desert. I could tell many of them were tired, but we just needed to move on until we found a suitable campsite for tonight. I continued to lead them on when a new scent drifted through the air, my whole tribe could smell it, zebra. I quickly hurried them towards the direction of our food.
We soon came to a clearing that opened into a beautiful grassland with many different kinds of animals bounding around, peacefully unaware of us.
"Kerberos and Perodia, go scout out a suitable living area for tonight. Merula, you and I will go catch our tribe some dinner." I ordered quietly so as to not alert the zebras, Kerberos and Perodia nodded before disappearing into the brush to find us a new living space.
Merula and I silently picked two zebras which would best feed the tribe, then we were off.
The sun was high and the wind was blowing, so we made sure we were downwind from the herd. I was hiding in the tall grass when I signaled to Merula that we pounce now, both sprinting through the tall grass and into the open. It was a risky move, but Merula and I are the fastest runners in the pride and could outrun a zebra in an instant. I had no worries; well, that was until I couldn't see Merula anymore. I decided to think about it later, focusing soley on the zebra I was chasing. I pounced and was right over it when a large tannish gold lion barreled into my side, allowing the zebra to escape.
I was pinned down and immediately released a roar for my tribe to help me, my tribe prowling out of the shadows after a few moments. They were a bunch of mean, gruff, and scarred up lions that alone usually scared away any newcomer.
I looked up at my attacker, smiling sickly as I spoke,
"Do you really want to do this, because they will kill you if you so much as scratch me." I state in a slightly cocky but still serious tone as I gestured to my tribe - who were in an offensive position, completely willing to fight.
Slowly, the stranger backed away, but only by a few steps. Before I could get up, he released a roar that I assume called his tribe; but I could not care for that, as I still could not find Merula.
I glance around, hearing some plants ruffling followed by angry growls from behind the stranger. Two lions twice Merula's size strode out of the bushes, Merula being restrained by them. She sported a thin but long cut across her left shoulder. I was proud to see that these two lions seemed quite tired and had many cuts and gashes along their legs.
"Well it would seem we have something of yours." Voiced the stranger, in a taunting tone.
"Release her or I, personally, will kill you." I seethed in a low growl whilst I stared straight into his amber eyes.
"Calm down, you may be below killing prisoners but my pride isn't that savage, you may take her back, but you will have to leave or we will fight." He stated in a demeaning way.
"If you want to fight then let's get it over with." I snarled before lunging at him. He didn't expect my speed, allowing me to throw him off balance. Kerberos immobilized the lions holding Merula down, quickly ushering her back to the tribe where our medicine lioness would treat her wounds.
"What's your name kid?" Asked the stranger as he got up.
"What's yours?" I hissed.
"Mufasa." He responded, stalking closer to me.
"The name's Crow." I answered before quickly tripping and pinning him to the ground. I was about to kill him when a lioness with reddish eyes barrelled into my side, shoving me to the side slightly.
"Mufasa, are you alright?" She questioned. I, however, saw more than a question, the look of caring in their eyes told me more. They were partners I assume, and that would work beautifully for my plan.
I quickly lunge forward, pushing Mufasa off balance - allowing me time to score my claws across the female's legs. She roared out in pain before collapsing to the ground, unable to handle the immense pain in her legs. Mufasa looked at me, then to the female before speaking.
"Boys, take Sarabi back to pride rock, this young lion needs to learn some respect."
Before I even had time to think, I was against the ground, back down whilst he smacked a large paw with claws unsheathed across my face. I could feel the pain inside me but I taught my tribe that it is much more intimidating and useful if you don't show pain, so I opened my eyes, I could feel trickles of blood streaming down my face.
I heard my whole pride roar in anger, so much as a scratch on me gives them the right to kill my attacker - since, in their eyes, I am the best leader they've had in years. I can hear them running over to attack him, but I slowly raise a paw up as an order for them to halt. I hear a sudden silence and Mufasa looks down at me in confusion.
"I may be a young leader, but that doesn't mean I'm willing to risk the lives of my tribe for my own." I state plainly as I try to wipe some of the blood off with my paw. Mufasa looks down at me with a sort of understanding.
"I'm sorry about this Crow, but I don't believe you've learned your lesson and I'll continue to punish you until you do." States Mufasa as he raises another paw. Before he gets the chance to hit me again, a young male cub comes out of the bushes looking happy and joyful until he sees his father about to hit my already cut and bloody face.
" D-dad, what are you doing?" He asks, confused as to why his father is attacking me.
"Simba...... Simba, this is Crow. Say hello Crow." Mufasa says. I simply look at Simba and give him my most venomous growl, causing him to stumble back in an effort to back away.
"Simba, go home. I will tell you about this later." Mufasa orders, to which Simba obliges, scampering off in a hurry.
"Must be embarrassing to have such a coward of a son who can't even watch their father 'teach a lesson to' an intruder who has already injured his own mother." I say in the most arrogant tone, and put emphasis on the word 'coward'.
"You know nothing about my family, and you seem like quite the coward just laying here and letting me hit you." Growls Mufasa in disgust, but is quickly silenced when I leap upwards and latch my jaws onto his neck and bite down hard, allowing me to rip him off me and throw him to the ground.
I jump off of Mufasa and turn to my pride, who look at me slightly stunned at how the tables turned, but simply shrug as that isn't very uncommon with me as leader. I turn around to see Mufasa getting up slowly, stunned at how I beat him, looking as if it were impossible.
"I hope you know now that brute strength isn't all you need in a battle." I growl at him before turning back to my tribe and signaling them to follow Kerberos to the hidden campsite he found. We take off at an uncatchable pace and arrive at the campsite in no time. Luckily there is a zebra pack nearby, Merula and I successfully killing two zebras for the tribe to feast on.

Ch.3 Ch.5
It's morning now, I awaken at dawn as per usual; sitting back, remembering the look of pure shock on Mufasa's face when I so easily beat him when I got sick of his drama, it was priceless.
I carefully walk outside, searching for some breakfast to give the tribe. I smell some zebra to the east and some antelope north, but I think the tribe would like some variety, so let's get both an antelope and a zebra for breakfast.
After walking for a few minutes, I spot a zebra wandering away from their herd, quickly killing it by ambushing from its blind spot. I use the same technique with the antelope, dragging back my kills and leaving them inside the cave we have taken up residence in.
It's still pretty early so I decide to go and explore the new territory.
Where my tribe is staying is full of trees and a canopy to keep us hidden, but how about we see the rest of the land. I sprint out of the trees silently, soon finding myself within an open savanna covered in grass with herds of many different animals. I look around, seeing beauty wherever the sun touches, but then my eyes reach a dark shadowy pit that has a mysterious aura to it.
I trot over until I reach the slight barrier that separates the sun-touched land from the shadows; as I look over the edge I see that there are mounds of large bones, elephants I believe they are called.
I quietly pounce over the edge and land in the clearing, but I soon hide behind a pile of bones when I hear the tumbling of bones from somewhere behind me. I peer through the bones and see Simba being pinned down by a lioness cub. 'I knew he was weak but not that weak,' I thought, watching him angrily struggle underneath her in vain. He then looks around, noticing my eye through the opening, I quickly pull back, jumping somewhere they won't see me; I can't risk him telling Mufasa, it would endanger my tribe.
"What are you looking at, Simba?" The female questions as she turns to see what it is that Simba is staring at so intently.
"Nothing, let's go over here." Simba states, wandering playfully over to a large skull. How stupid could they be, that skull smells strongly of hyena - just as I think that, I hear the cynical laughs of three hyenas, watching as they begin chasing the two lion cubs.
———————
The hyenas have chased Simba and Nala around for a minute or so now, and they currently have the cubs cornered. I see no one around to help them, so I leap in front of the hyenas, stopping them in their tracks. As much as you may think, I am no monster, and I won't allow these hyenas to kill these cubs, even though one's father may be the most aggravating alive.
"What are you doing? We are about to kill them like you asked?" One of them murmurs in a confused tone.
"Um Shengzi, I don't think that's who we think it is." Voiced another hyena.
They all pounce at me and we get into a battle of wrestling. I smack the least intelligent one unconscious for a few minutes whilst immobilizing the other two by smashing their heads together. They all fall to the ground and I release a roar so loud it causes them all to bolt away in fear. I look back at Simba and Nala, Simba looks surprised and Nala simply looks relieved that she didn't die.
"You two okay?" I question in a soft, calm tone that I use with all the cubs in my tribe.
"Yes, thank you." Replies Simba and Nala at the same time. I'm about to ask them if they want an escort back to their home but I get pushed down to the ground by a massive amount of pressure between my shoulders. I crane my neck to look up, and see Mufasa pinning me down with pure rage in his eyes while a blue bird flies overhead.
"First you attack me and now you try to kill my son and his friend. How low is your pride when they go to killing children for fun." Roars Mufasa as he grabs me and hurls me against a wall. I recoil my body in pain as the rock I land on pierces into my side. I narrow my eyes in anger and try to get up, but the rock is a part of the floor and is ripped out of me as I force myself up. The pain, however, isn't as obvious to them as I experience pain on the inside more than the outside due to intense training.
"Father, stop! He saved our lives from the hyenas!" Shrieked Simba as Nala rushed between Mufasa and myself.
"What are you talking about, he will kill you when given the chance!" Growled Mufasa as he merely pushed Nala to the side and started stalking towards me again.
"We all know how true that is, because of how you're still alive." I growled sarcastically, some blood dripping out of my mouth. Mufasa barely listens before shoving me back into the wall.
"Because I was given so many chances to kill you on our first meeting, but look at this, you're still alive." I nearly snarled at Mufasa. To be honest he looked quite angry, but the cubs seemed to be scared for my well being. Mufasa slowly takes his pressure off of me, begrudgingly allowing me to get up.
"How did you roar that loud?" Asked Simba in a scared tone as he trembled near his father.
"That's classified kid. Now if you don't mind I'll be leaving before I kill this inconsiderate father of yours." I threaten before stalking out of the area, quickly being drawn back by the scent of another lion, it's ever so subtle but it's there. I follow it and come back to where I was getting attacked, but this is a hidden overview ledge. Sitting on top is a lion who shares a striking resemblance to myself. I silently walk behind him and quickly pounce on top of him. He finds himself pinned in utter confusion, and worry is evident through the features on his face.
"I'm not Mufasa if that's what you're wondering." I state plainly as I get off of him. He turns around and sees me, anger overtaking his eyes.
"You cost me an open chance to kill that little brat today you saboteur!" He growls before lunging at me. I easily dodge his antics, resulting in him falling onto the floor.
"If you plan on killing me, you're going to need a lot more practice." I state before helping him up.
"And why do you want to kill Simba anyways?" I question.
"He is taking away my rightful place as next in line for the throne you could say." He responds dejectedly.
"What's your name, I'm Crow."
"They call me Scar." He replies.
"Are you the one that beat Mufasa in a battle?" He questions.
"That's me." I quickly mutter as I don't like Mufasa.
" .... How would you like to stay here in the pride lands? If you help me in a plan to kill Mufasa we can rule together and combine our prides." Scar explains, noting my obvious fighting capability.
"Why should I join you, my tribe is already unbeatable since I became king, and you wanted to kill your own nephew; you are stupid, why not just make him runaway so you don't have the death of the innocent and future king on your paws?" I voice as I sit down across from Scar on the rock ledge.
"It all depends on if you join me or not, so do we have an agreement?" He questions in a slightly cynical way.
"Possibly ." I reply in a grim tone with a subtle nod.
"I must inform my tribe, I will meet you here tomorrow with my tribe's decision." I say before sprinting across the land and reaching my new home in a matter of minutes. I wait for them to wake up before telling them the offer that has been proposed. I hope they stay, they are my family but if they don't wish to stay I will go with them; I am their leader after all and I must look out for them, not myself like my selfish brother had.

My tribe agreed to join Scar, although some were a bit more hesitant. Of course, I was also partly hesitant; I usually don't jump into ideas like this either, but it did have many benefits. My tribe wouldn't have to be nomadic anymore, we wouldn't have to worry about being attacked by another pride, and we wouldn't have to worry about running out of food.
I wait until dawn, then slowly make my way over to the elephant graveyard. It reeks of hyenas, I wish Scar would just get rid of them already, they are only on his side because he's promising them food.
Anyways, I slide down the hill into the graveyard and walk to the elephant's skull that Simba was playing on; as I continue my senses are on high alert since this is where a bunch of hyenas stay, and even though they like Scar, I don't trust them. I jump up onto the ledge that Scar said we'd meet at and wait, after a while it seems like he isn't going to show so I begin to get up and am ready to leave when I catch his scent. I turn around and see him just as he shows up, as you can imagine I'm already on edge, but him showing up this late is also making my tolerance run thin.
"Thought you'd never show up" I began the conversation. Scar simply looks at me as if willing me to go on.
"My tribe has agreed to join yours, but on one condition; we don't kill Simba." I explain, but the look on Scar's face clearly shows that he is slightly unhappy with this arrangement.
"Fine, I'll meet you at the top of the ravine, I'll explain the plan on getting rid of Simba there." With each of us nodding we walk towards our own pride/tribe lands.
———————
I'm waiting at the canyon, eyeing the wildebeests who are grazing at the top. As I look down into the canyon I see Scar leading Simba down there, then walking away, leaving Simba down in the canyon. I'm getting slightly worried, I can see his plan falling into place now; he plans on causing a stampede down into the canyon, and that would leave no place for Simba to escape to.
I begin to sprint around the canyon as I try to find a way down to get Simba, Scar is going to get him killed and that was not part of our deal.
I see a pathway down, and I carefully weave my way down the rocky path into the canyon. I am successfully making my way down the canyon, the stampede has chased Simba onto a weak tree that is barely holding him above the herd, I jump over the backs of the stampede until I have reached Simba.
He looks at me in fright, not knowing why I'm here, but I quickly grab him, holding him lightly as I begin leaping over the stampede again. I see Simba's father in the canyon trying to get over to us, I just manage to hand off Simba before a wildebeest rams straight into my rib cage.
Mufasa leaps over to a ledge where he puts Simba, and begins making his way back over to me. I'm already getting up, but as I try to jump up the walls of the canyon I end up falling back down, nearly getting trampled to death. Mufasa, however, is quick to grab me and pulls me to the side of the canyon, throwing me over and onto the same ledge as Simba;mbut just as he is about to get up as well he is dragged down with the stampede, Simba is screaming for him, and I even try to get up to look through the stampede for him only to see him launch up and claw his way up the wall of the canyon.
Simba begins to make our way up the canyon so we can meet Mufasa, however as soon as we turn back to look we see Mufasa falling back first into the stampede, and I knew as soon as I saw, that he was going to be dead before we even got down there.
I quickly grab Simba and begin to try to get down there as quickly as I can, as soon as we reach the bottom we only see a straggler that was quickly gone. We make our way over to Mufasa, and his scent is clearly telling me that he is dead, however Simba simply won't give up trying to wake him up, and seeing him like that killed me inside. I had to look away, and after seeing Simba lying with his dead father I decided to wait by the wall of the canyon.
I hear a noise, and see Scar walking down into the canyon, as he reaches Simba he begins to speak. I can't hear very well though since I'm quite a ways away from them, but I do pick up on things, I believe he said that Mufasa's death was Simba's fault, and that Simba should just run away.
I see Simba backing away before he sprints off down the canyon, I then hear Scar say 'get him', and immediately see three hyenas take off after Simba. I look at Scar, who looks at me before walking off.
I quickly sprint after Simba, forcing my body to run faster than I ever have; I'm quickly catching up to the hyenas, but I can see that they will reach Simba before I reach them. I force my already tired body to continue with this stamina eating sprint until I am so close that I can almost pounce on them. However I see them all skidding to a halt so I quickly follow, leaping up and latching myself onto the canyon wall so that I can see what lay ahead of me.
Before me lies a forest of bramble thickets, I can see Simba making his way through them; and see him run out of the other side and into the distance.
The hyenas eventually leave. I have to find Simba, there is no way that he will survive out there, he's only a cub after all.
———————
I wait until nightfall, then navigate my way around the forest of bramble thickets to where I last saw Simba. I quickly pick up his scent, and begin following him; it leads me out of the pride lands and eventually to a desert. I'm beginning to slightly regret doing this because I'm risking my own life for this cub, but I feel like I need to make sure he is fine because his father's death is partially my fault.
I look up and see vultures in the distance; and I begin to sprint towards them, and I'm sure all the animals could hear my thundering paws as they roughly hit the dry and cracked floor of this desert wasteland. As I come closer I can see a warthog and a meerkat have scared away the vultures that had landed and were advancing towards Simba.
However I only see them pick up his body and scurry away into the undergrowth. I slow my pace, and am eventually back to a walk as soon as I reach the undergrowth I saw them disappear into.
I slowly make my way through the trees, following their scent closely to make sure I didn't lose them. I eventually find where they were, silently watching through the bushes as they teach Simba to eat bugs which almost caused me to be sick, but I recovered quickly.
I'm so caught in the moment that I step on a twig, a snap emanating through the environment. The warthog and meerkat glance around in fear whilst Simba is looking defensive, making his way closer to me.
"Whoever is there better come out or I'll, I'll..."
"You'll what Simba, attack me?" I voice, cutting him off.
"Crow? Is that you?" Simba exclaims after a moment of thinking to himself.
I walk out of the bushes, the top of my mane is slightly raised, giving me a threatening appearance. Simba looks slightly happy to see me, whilst the other two look simply mortified as they hug each other for dear life. My eyes shift over to Simba as I stride completely out of my hiding spot, and proceed to sit a few paw steps away from him.

"Crow!" Simba jumped slightly, hugging his body against mine. I'm slightly surprised, especially since we barely know each other, but I chalk it up to how he just lost his father.
"Simba I... I'm sorry I couldn't save your father." I stutter out, I know I agreed to help Scar, but I had no idea he would go about it this way. I never really wanted to kill Mufasa, and what happened will stay with me forever.
Simba tenses slightly, his face becoming somber as the memory floods back into his mind. His ears drop back against his head, his gaze shifting downwards as he pushes himself against me even harder. I crouch down, wrapping my paw around his back and lowering my head against his, a sort of hug to comfort him.
"It'll be alright Simba, I'll keep you safe." I promise to both him and to myself, my whispering barely loud enough for him to hear. He only answers by nodding his head, I can hear his sniffles as he cries for the loss of his father.
As he pulls back, I hear someone loudly clear their throat. Both Simba and I glance up to the disturbance.
"Hi, sorry to interrupt, but I would like to, oh I don't know, maybe know WHO YOU ARE!" A meerkat sarcastically states, yelling slightly at the end as he throws his paws up in the air at the end. The warthog behind him simply nods, still looking at me with slight fear in his eyes.
I raise an eyebrow at Simba, who simply gives a slight smile at my reaction. He turns to the meerkat.
"Timon, Pumba, this is Crow; Crow, this is Timon and Pumba."
"Nice to make your acquaintance." Pumba says as he walks forward.
"Please, the pleasure is all mine." I replied. Turning away from Timon and Pumba, I focus on Simba.
"I must head back now, I'll make sure to check on you at least once a week, I'm sure you can make do for yourself." I say, ruffling my mane as I finish my sentence.
"Don't worry about me Crow, I'll be fine." Simba replies, his smile dimming slightly at my goodbye. I allow a small fond smile to grace my features, I pull him into another hug before pulling away, ruffling the fur on his head before heading back to Pride Rock.
———————
It was well dark when I returned, heading straight to the watering hole, that desert trip back-and-forth is going to suck.
I don't know how to describe it, but the atmosphere feels heavy, like it's humid, every step closer feels wrong, like I should turn back time and stop anything from ever proceeding. As I approach Pride Rock I am met with the cynical laughing and yelping of hyenas. I'm immediately on edge, last time I had to deal with hyenas, I had to stop them from killing Simba.
I'm thrown out of my thoughts by a sudden attack to my neck, a couple hyenas had circled me, and one had snapped at my throat. I immediately swipe at him, my claws deeply scoring their face, a loud screech of pain reverberating through the plains. I roar quickly, requesting help from anyone available, and I receive a surprising response.
I not only hear the roars of response from my tribe, but also from other lions, probably Mufasa's. I try to keep fighting them off, but more hyenas have joined, there's now at least 15, all of which are attacking me at random. I try and try, but each attack of mine is met with 4 more from all sides, I can feel the blood dripping down my legs, blood matting my mane and dripping into my eyes. I'm about to give up when both lion prides arrive.
The hyenas are quickly torn off of me, being attacked by both sides, the roars of anger creating a cacophony that fills my ears. A loud roar creates silence, but I pay little attention to it as I can barely maintain my balance. My vision is going blurry, but I can still see where the roar came from, the figure jumping down from Pride Rock and coming closer to me. The hyenas immediately listened to this lion, meaning it could only be Scar, and the fact that the lions listened too means that his plan worked.
I can't think anymore on the topic, though. I feel my legs give out, leaving me laying across the floor, breathing heavily before falling unconscious. The last thing I heard being:
"BACK AWAY FROM HIM NOW!"

Two Othelloverse characters exist basically to have very irresponsible sex utilizing magic, but they’re not important or on screen in the main story or any of the side stories, so it isn’t important. They’re literally just dead parents. I keep accidentally making my dead characters really interesting. This is exactly Charlotte all over again. She was meant to be nebulously the fourth child of her line, but then I wanted to flesh out the asshole siblings that die, and now I love love them horribly and keep forgetting Charlotte exists
