At least Fenris and Nora are friendly and soon he actually started to adjust to life at the community. He is a knowledge sim so he feels like he's learning a lot about occult matters he didn't know about, especially once he found out here that there are also such thing as vampires...and apparently they're terrible and smelly!!

A few weeks later, Calendula arrived and Berry became quite fond of her. They also seem to both be messing around with others, but they feel a connection.

Sometimes they all take little trips to the coast for a change of scenery. Berry tried learning break dancing but didn't really get anywhere with it. So he went inside the beach bar an played a little bit of poker instead.

There was this creepy guy with scary eyebrows who kept going on about... finding a test subject, saying his old one had... escaped and asking Berry if he was interested. Berry politely declined... he got a bad feeling. There was also this greyish lady who absolutely stunk, like her skin was rotting away or something, maybe she had a disease? it was almost like she was a zombie. Good thing the game crashed and Berry was able to get out of there!

Nora also is starting to get a crush on a strange alien lady she met out on the day trip to the beach, she'd never seen anyone like her! then again, she is a human wolf so there's that...her name's Chloe Curious. She hopes Chloe feels the same way...Chloe even decided to come up to the mountains from her coastal getaway to see Nora again but is this just a one time thing?

Apparently she lives super far away, all the way out in the desert, a small town called "Strangetown". Berry mentioned he met someone creepy from there...Nora has her number so hopefully they'll keep in touch and maybe she can go down and visit her.

Meanwhile she and her brother have a community to help run. She can't just leave her friends, her job and all the dogs for a girl she just met.

Sooo you might remember me asking Criquette​ if I could use their screenshots to create some in-game photos a while ago, and welp, I finally did some! There’s 63 recolors in total on threadandsandpaper’s it will last longer meshes. I intend to make more recolors on other frames in the future :-)

I personally don’t like EA’s toys and the only DR I liked was this pony by bienchen83. I then decided to do my own, and well, this was much easier than I thought so here they are! Remember you can only have one default replacement per toy. In other words, one for the pony, one for the car and so on.

Pony: I used the DR from bienchen83 but retextured it, edited the mesh a little bit, fixed the shadow and also deleted unnecessary files inside the package so now it’s smaller and cleaner.

Car: replaced with a car by @veranka-downloads (which you can find here). I edited the shadow a little bit.

Rocketship: replaced with a train by @veranka-downloads (which you can find here). I edited the shadow a little bit.

Boat: replaced with a llama by @veranka-downloads (which you can find here).

I changed the car and llama’s “hand-position” to the pony one, that way they fit the hands better when used. You can download them individually or all in one merged package file. All files have been compressed to reduce file size. I think that’s all? If you run into any issues, please let me know!

EA’s pet toy stick is one hell of a blurry stick. Idk why it bothered me so much, I just had to try and “fix” it. The original texture is 128x32px, my new texture is 256x32px. In other words, not that much of a difference in size. I think I’ve read that you shouldn’t use ”uneven” texture sizes like that in ts2 [...} (thank you @2fingerswhiskey for clarifying!) 

Remember you can only have one default replacement for “accessorypettoystick_txtr” in you downloads folder at a time :-) If you encounter any issues, let me know!

yavannatw over at MTS where looking for this outfit as a default replacement for afbodymayor (it’s on sims2defaults, but the link is dead). I’ve made three defaults using three different shoeswaps meshes I found. You must choose and install only one of them. Shoes from left to right: tomwood1906, silivrin, olivespecter.

They all have fat morphs (yay!) and no ribbon. I also changed the shoe sound to heels. A small issue I noticed was a slight seam around the neck when in-game. I looked at the meshes in milkshape but couldn’t see anything off. I suspect it’s the same with EA’s original mesh. Nothing big though, I nearly didn’t notice it.

All files have been compressed to reduce file size. I think that’s all? If you notice anything weird, let me know! Excuse my lazy preview btw.

Edit 23/3: I completely forgot about bump-maps yesterday, and while I was at it I redid the files. I originally used olivemuenda/olivespecter’s DR but now I extracted all neccessary resources myself. Please re-download!

Edit 25/3: I noticed that my DR in CAS, if used with shift + n, will have a custom star and can be deleted. You should never delete EA clothing, it will corrupt your game if you do. I suspect it’s because I edited the shoe sound it got a custom star. I couldn’t get the file to work in the bins folder unfortunately, so please be careful to not delete it if you use the debug mode in CAS.

Simonut over at MTS were using Artemida’s default from here, but didn’t like the ribbon. I did a quick mesh and texture edit using Artemida’s textures. This file is a default replacement for both ambodymayor and embodymayor, with fat morphs! Remember you can only have one DR for these clothes in your download folder at a time.

The file has been compressed to reduce file size. If you notice any problems, please let me know! 

Edit: forgot to mention, for some reason there’s two mayor outfits for men. A red tie and a blue one. My DR replaces them both, as seen in the picture :-)

Today Is Jonghyuns 31st Birthday (korean Age), And While I Normally Dont Interact Online On Days Like

Today is Jonghyun’s 31st birthday (korean age), and while I normally don’t interact online on days like this (I’m a quiet fan) I thought I might as well share them now.

These are recolors using the gorgeous art from his Story Op.2 album (essay ver), painted by Yang Seung Min. There are eight recolors in total, seven on the BV travel poster (bon voyage needed) and one on the We call it football poster (university needed, I think). You have to install the CEP for these to work. You can download them in one merged file or individually, and all files have been compressed. Swatch is available in the download. Let me know if I messed up anywhere!

You know, I like the newspaper NPC in ts2 but the colors. What was EA thinking? and don’t even get me started on the shoes..

I shoeswapped tfbodypaperdelivery and tmbodypaperdelivery with shoes from EA’s tmbottomboardshorts (“converted” to females by me) and also edited the clothes + cap’s textures. I disliked EA’s hair, so I’ve also included a hair default replacement for tmhairhatballcapnpc and tfhairhatballcapnpc (which only affects the newspaper delivery’s hair). This default is a mesh edit by me of rented-space‘s 3t2 baseball cap, but with EA’s NPC cap (using fanseelamb‘s edited mesh on the male one). There were a lot of hair recolors/systems available for this mesh, so I’ve included many options but you have to choose one of them since they are all defaults. Of course, if you would like EA’s original hair you have that as an option as well.

I’ve changed and fixed things in both textures and meshes, therefore there’s some stuff I need to explain. This might be confusing since I have to use the word “newspaper” a lot (I’ve re-written this part so many times now lol). I tried my best to not make it confusing but if you really don’t understand or there’s some part you can’t grasp, then feel free to message me.

I’ll put the rest under the cut, since it’s quite long :-)

NPC Clothing

Fixed some clipping in the meshes

Erased some weird shadows on the clothes’ texture

Fixed the socks’ edges + erased EA’s horrendous shadows under the shorts + on the socks as well

Shoeswapped with shoes from tmbottomboardsshorts

For some reason, the socks on the male mesh is noticeable lower than on the female mesh. This bothered me so I edited the mapping on the male mesh to make the socks a bit higher, but this resulted in the skin’s highlight being moved a bit upwards. I personally don’t mind this, but I’ve included two files so you can choose if you want this change or not (meaning you have to choose one of them). I did it this way since I found it unneccessary to add a whole new texture just bc of some socks haha. You can compare them here.

EA originally added the texture for the newspapers in the bag on the back onto the clothing texture. What I did instead was making them a separate group, remapped them a bit and then texture referenced them to newspaper-inside-pages-clean-01_txtr (why I texture referenced it to the inside page is because I couldn’t get it to look good using the outside texture unfortunately)

If you choose to use my newspaper texture default replacement (for the object), the NPC clothing’s newspapers in the bag will automatically pick up the newspaper default replacement (like seen on the image). This means that you can use my NPC clothing default without using my newspaper texture default if you would like to. It will then use EA’s newspaper texture (or whatever default you have for newspaper-inside-pages-clean-01_txtr). If you on the other hand only install my newspaper texture default (for the object) and another NPC newspaper delivery clothing default (or EA’s for that matter), the newspapers in the bag on the clothing will not be using my newspaper texture (since it’s not a separate group and will be using the texture from the clothes’ texture).

NPC Hair

Included in the download is a default replacement for the newspaper delivery NPC’s hair. It’s a mesh edit by me of rented-space‘s 3t2 baseball cap, but with EA’s NPC cap (using fanseelamb‘s edited mesh on the male one). The hair textures were all 1024x1024, but I decreased them down to 512x512 since I tbh didn’t notice any quality loss but if you really want them in 1024x1024 you can easily replace the textures in SimPE. Also, the hair has some minor transparency issues but nothing too noticable, plus, the newspaper delivery’s hair is always blond and the transparency issues are nearly invisible on the blond hair.

There’s also a texture replacement for the caps included. I texture referenced the cap’s texture (on my mesh edit default that is) to uuhairhatballcapnpc-fblond_txtr and uuhairhatballcapnpc-mblond_txtr. This means that if you use my new NPC hair default, you will still need my cap texture replacement file, otherwise the caps will not be in my new color. In other words: both files are supposed to be used together. If you on the other hand would like to have EA’s original hair but my new cap, only install my cap texture replacement.

Since I texture referenced the cap’s texture, it is possible to use my hair mesh default replacement with any default for uuhairhatballcapnpc-fblond_txtr and uuhairhatballcapnpc-mblond_txtr you might have, it will automatically pick up your default (or EA’s original for that matter).

Newspaper Texture

My newspaper default replacement replaces EA’s boring monochrome textures with new, colorful pictures (+ nicer weather icons)! Textures defaulted are:

I’ve enlarged the clean pages (by using this) so the textures are now 512x512 instead of 256x256. The dirty pages are still 256x256 though as I didn’t see a need for them to be bigger. You can compare EA’s textures with mine here, the dirty textures can be compared here, newsprintparticle here and newspaper_printing here.

I have absolutely no idea when or how “newsprintparticle” and “newspaper_printing” are used, but I replaced them with colorful versions anyway. If you know, please enlighten me!

@itsdiamondeyesuniverse​ has a mod here which randomizes the NPC newspaper delivery hair (+ others) and smithycpl has a more realistic newspaper mod here which might be of interest to you. None of these are required for my defaults to work (but they are compatible), I just felt like recommending them :-)

As usual, if you have any defaults in your downloads folder defaulting the same thing as any of my files, you have to remove them before installing mine. If you stumble upon any problems or such, let me know! All files have been compressed to reduce file size. No merged versions available this time, to reduce any more confusion haha.

UPDATE 18/06: updated the files to make the hat not covered in snow during winter (cloned from Nopke’s fix, you’ll still need that fix as well). If you don’t use Nopke’s fix and want the hat to be covered in snow during winter, get one of the files from the old zip file. The new updated files are in the "vegankaktus_penguinDEFAULT_updated".

You ever look at a penguin and think “this penguin needs a hat and some clothes”? ... No? Well I did >:-D with this default replacement you get just that - a penguin with hat and clothes! Many problems and errors later, (this makes it sound like I’ve been working on it for ages, but it’s literally been a day lmao) I present to you: my penguin default replacement!

Included in the download are three four files, but you have to choose one of them since they are all defaults. If you already have a penguin default in your downloads folder, you have to remove it before installing mine. The only ones I know of are this and this though. I also recommend this fix by Nopke. It’s compatible with my DR (but not required)!

All files have been compressed to reduce file size. If you experience anything weird when using my default, let me know!

EAs Birthday Horn Texture Is... Something, Lol. So Here Is A Small Texture Replacement (its Literally

EA’s birthday horn texture is... something, lol. So here is a small texture replacement (it’s literally less than 2kb!) for the horn. It’s not perfect, it’s a bit wobbly here and there but it’s good enough for me and surerly better than EA’s imo :p

File has been compressed to reduce file size and remember you can only have one default for birthdayhorn-colors_txtr in your downloads folder at a time!

This post has been in my drafts for over a year now. I’m not sure why it took me this long to share it. Usually the previews are the problem for me, but I already had those done?? (;´༎ຶД༎ຶ`)

Anyhow! I love the Nintendo Switch, and when I found out it had been converted to ts2 I just knew I had to turn it into a default replacement for the handheld game. EA’s original mesh had a polycount of 168, meanwhile the nintendo had a whopping 1546. I got rid of the buttons so now it’s down to 724, still high (compared to EA’s) but I don’t know how to decrease it any further. If anyone wants to give it a try, please go ahead! And if you know how, please teach me :-D

I re-made the buttons so they’re now in simlish and re-mapped the mesh a bit. The default replacement is red&blue, but I’ve included a grey recolor inside the download. If you want to use the grey recolor, you have to install jacobaoconnor’s CEP-extra for the handheld game. (The CEP is now included in my download. Thank you! :-D) If you don’t care for it to be recolorable, only install vegankaktus_DEFAULThandheldgame. The default replacement and recolor goes in your downloads folder as usual. This default requires University and remember you can only have one default replacement for the handheld game in your downloads folder at a time. All files have been compressed to reduce file size. If you run into any issues, let me know!

Edit: I also recommend downloading Graverobber’s vending koisk fix here! It’s the file called “GR_DefaultVendingKioskFix.package” you want :-) otherwise the vendingkoisk will look a bit weird with my default installed :-)

Edit #2: Me and @yosarna-sims discovered that if you have Pineappleforest’s water tub (the BV repo’d one) in your game, my default is flashing blue. Pineappleforest has fixed their file now though (thank you! :-D) so if you’re using their BV repo’d water tub, you should re-download it.

Thank you! :-D I also forgot to mention that as seen in jellymeduza’s post, my switch is nearly below ground level when placed. EA’s watering can is pretty cute, but it bothered me a lot that the front part didn’t have any holes for the water to pour out of.. Hence this default! :-D I re-mapped the mesh, fixed the texture and gave the white part a new texture + holes.

The file has been compressed to reduce file size, and remember you can only have one default for the watering can in your downloads folder at a time. If you encounter any issues, let me know!

You Know That Crappy Digital Camera From Bon Voyage, Which Isnt Even Digital Since You Have To Send Your

You know that crappy digital camera from bon voyage, which isn’t even digital since you have to send your photos off to develop them? Yeah that camera.

I replaced this sad blob of pixels with the (very!) pretty analogue camera from the paparazzi outfit (from seasons). EA even made a separate texture for the analogue camera so I’m surprised they didn’t use it.

There are two versions to choose from and bon voyage is required for both. If you have seasons installed, you can choose to use the repo’d default (it’s repositoried to the uubodyjournalistcamera-black texture). If you don’t have seasons installed (or for some reason just don’t want the repositoried version) choose the bon voyage file.

Both files have been compressed to reduce file size, and remember you can only have one default for the digital camera in your downloads folder at a time. If you run into any issues, let me know!

Known Issue: when sims use the camera, for some reason it “flips” in their hand first. This has nothing to do with my default, it’s just the way EA.. decided to design the camera interaction I guess haha? This has been on my to-do-list for ages. I can’t say I’m 100% happy with the result, but for now I’m okay with how it looks. Otherwise I would poke at this for all eternity (; ಠㅂಠ)b

This is an edit of @hugelunatic‘s CEP-extra (I fell in love with that bowl!) which means this should be placed in your Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\zCEP-EXTRA folder. You still have to download HugeLunatic’s HL_CEP_bg_fruitBowl-programfiles.package file though from the link above.

Edit: sorry if I was a bit unclear! In other words: my file (vegankaktus_HL_CEP_bg_fruitBowl.package) should replace HugeLunatic’s original file (HL_CEP_bg_fruitBowl.package) in the document’s CEP-extra folder. HL_CEP_bg_fruitBowl-programfiles.package file is still needed! And should be placed in the program files folder :-)

I extracted the pineapple + pear from TNW’s 3t2 fruit hat (I edited the pineapple texture a bit to remove most of the shadows). The apples and oranges are extracted from seasons. The bananas are by soloriya (warning T$R) which @alienpod​ kindly extracted for me<3

I also included 6 recolors of the bowl and 1 green recolor for the bananas. Since I couldn’t fit everything into one texture (milkshape’s scale system in the texture coordinate editor is not my best friend) and ts2 can only have two subsets, I decided the second subset would be the bananas. If I ever figure out how to scale mappings easily without any distortion, I’ll try again. But for now, this is the best I can do :-)

My bowl recolors can be used with HugeLunatic’s original CEP-extra (just skip my banana recolor and you’re good to go) if someone would like to use my recs but not my new default.

All files have been compressed to reduce file size, and for my recolors you can choose between merged and separate files. The CEP is required for this to work, and remember you can’t have any other default or CEP-extra for the fruit bowl in your downloads folder while using mine! Let me know if you encounter any issues :-)

Some clutter extracted from the OFB toybench!

These are 9 new objects with their own custom GUIDs. They are all repositoried to the toy bench from OFB which means you must have open for business for these to show up correctly, otherwise they will flash blue. They can be found for $2 under decorative - sculptures. I also included a collection file in the download :-) this collection file can be placed in your downloads folder or in Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Collections.

All files have been compressed to reduce file size and since they are repo'd, the files are very small! I used random.org to randomize the GUIDs, but there's still a small chance some object out there has the same GUID. Let me know if you find one! Then I'll fix it asap :-)

This is my first time making custom objects, so please let me know if you find any errors!

Here’s a default replacement for EA’s toddler mush and five new custom foods for your toddlers :-)

Four of the custom foods are repo’d to these textures:

Meaning they will pick up EA’s original or any default you might have for them. The fifth one is bienchen83′s default but custom. They are all basegame compatible! I replaced EA’s mush texture with some random texture I found in SimPE and re-sized it to 64x64 (EA’s original was 128x128). I also removed the groundshadow.

The food textures you see in my first preview - with the expection of the spaghetti - are defaults unreleased by me. They are part of my food defaults project I’ve been working on for a while :-)

All custom foods have been translated to every language the sims is available in, and instead of clogging up your fridge pie menu, they have all been placed neatly in a submenu. I don’t speak any other language than Swedish and barerly English, so please let me know if anything is too awkward or incorrect! I used EA’s text lists from the foods in question and copy-pasted + used google translate a bit. I didn’t use EA’s danish translation for the macncheese though, it was originally “junkfood” but I changed it to “Makaroni og ost”, and if you open up my toddler cereal in SimPE and wonder why that one has its own txmt (still repo’d to EA’s texture though) while the others are repo’d to EA’s txmts, it’s because EA’s original txmt for the cereal had a weird lighting.

These edits will not apply to the original macncheese text string/original cereal txmt, only to my toddler foods. They will be included in my future food defaults & fixes though :-)

For some reason, EA have multiple toddler food bowl resources and in-game two bowls are used at the same time. I fixed this and also re-mapped the bowl + edited the texture and re-sized it to 128x128 (EA’s original was 256x256 and I didn’t see the need for such a small bowl to be using a large texture like that). EA made a dirty texture for the bowl as well, but it seems to be unused. I edited the txmt for the dirty texture to point to the clean texture just in case.

As usual, all files have been compressed to reduce file size. Keep in mind you can only have one default for the toddler mush in your downloads folder at a time, and any edit to the text string resource I edited in my mush default will conflict with said default. If you don’t install my mush default but use any of my custom toddler foods, there will be two pie menus on the fridge. In other words; no files in this download are dependent on each other, but I recommend to install my default if you’re planning on using any of my custom toddler foods!

This is my first time making custom foods, so please let me know if you find any issues or GUID conflicts! Also, I don’t think these will corrupt your game if you remove them from your downloads folder (like custom adult foods do) because they don’t seem to create any memories, but I’m not 100% sure!

Edit: I included a second default file for an anon who wanted EA’s original mush texture. I re-sized it to 64x64 though, since EA’s texture is really blurry (so 128x128, the original size, is not necessary). Choose one of the defaults!

Edit #2: okay, so it seems my custom toddler foods won’t serve for some reason. I’ll do my best to try and fix this, but in the meantime, my custom foods are pretty much unusable haha :-(

Edit #3: a big warm thanks to @jellymeduza​ for fixing my custom toddler foods! :-D please re-download and add two of the four new BHAV files included in the download. Versions compatible with lamare’s accessible toddler high chairs and toddler outings and restaurants are included! Instructions on which to use are included in the download :-D I also fixed my polish translation for the fruit food, so if your game is in polish then please replace that file with the one from the updated archive! (thanks to jellymeduza for the feedback!)

I saw @phoebe-twiddle’s default for the maid outfit and knew exactly what I wanted to do: matching defaults for afbodydressmaid and ambodymanmaid!

NPC Clothing

I got rid of the shorts on EA’s Kitchen&Bath pre-order outfit, extracted the pants from afbodydeliveryperson / ambodydeliveryperson and colored them brown. I also made the gloves yellow, but there is a version included with pink gloves as well (choose only one file!). My default contains two 1024x1024 textures, and both AF and AM share those textures. The shoes are my fixed umbottomwillpants shoes from my pizza default.

This is my first time converting AF -> AM so the mesh is not perfect by any means, but it’s good enough for me. They both have fat morphs, of course! This was also my first time making a fat morph (AM) from scratch. I apologize, it’s not perfect either D-:

I did my best to reduce as much clipping as possible, but there are still some clipping during certain animations between the pants and shirt at the back. There’s also a slight (skin texture) seam/difference between the neck and body on AM. I was thinking of replacing the neck mesh with a “true” AM-neck mesh, but then I was unsure of how I would add the apron mesh back onto it.

In other words; I’m too tired/not sure how to solve these issues, but if anyone wants to try and fix them or know how I could fix them myself, please feel free to do so/let me know! :-D

Vehicle

Included in the default is a simple texture default for the maid car, replacing EA’s pink maid logo with my new logo. I also cleaned up the registration sign and removed the shadow under the side mirror :-) the logo on the engine hood (is it really called hood in English?) has been replaced as well.

My default will not conflict with whattheskell‘s maid completer / male maid separates since @rudhira​ was kind and threw together my default file the “right” way! Also worth mentioning, EA originally had three different colors for the male maid but my default does not.

All defaults seen in this post have been merged into one single file, and the files have been compressed to reduce file size. If you have any other defaults in your downloads folder for afbodydressmaid, ambodymanmaid or vehiclemaid-main_txtr you have to remove those before installing mine! And remember to choose between yellow or pink gloves :-) if you encounter any problems, let me know!

Edit: I separated the vehicle default for an anon, so if you don’t want to use my NPC outfit defaults but my car default download the “vegankaktus_DEFAULTvehiclemaid” file :-)

Edit #2: if you have the “Buyable Work and NPC Clothes” you will probably see my default with invisible pants. Delete the maid gzps from that file and all is good :-)

Edit 2021-09-11: I updated my vehicle default with the nicer bumper texture from my taxi defaults! here is a quick image showing the new texture:

A Simple Custom Dog Toy Using The Stick Mesh Fromplay Fetch. The Mesh Has Its Own GUID And Is Repod To

A simple custom dog toy using the stick mesh from “play fetch”. The mesh has its own GUID and is repo’d to accessorypettoystick-wood_txtr meaning it will pick up any default you have for it. In my preview I’m using my toy stick default :-)

There’s a pets version and a bon voyage version (pets still needed, of course) but choose only one! The Pets version has the usual squeaky chewing sound, meanwhile the bon voyage version is using the bon voyage animations which has a boney chewing sound (from the white bone sims can dig up) instead of the squeaky sound.

The polycount is 156 polys and you can find it in misc - pets for 0$ :-)

Let me know if you stumble upon any problems!
