You don’t have to have fancy crystals and herbs for spell jars btw. You can use sugar, coffee grounds, leaves, acorns, etc. Don’t fall victim to witchcraft consumerism.
“Almost There” Career Success Spell (Disney Inspired)
A spell to bring you success and advancement in your career or job.

You Will Need:
Aventurine
Basil
Cinnamon
Dried Ginger
Green Candles
Paper and pencil/pen
Jar with a Lid
Cinnamon Incense
Steps:
Light your cinnamon incense and your candles. Place them nearby as you work.
In the jar add your cinnamon, dried ginger and basil
Take your Aventurine in hand and whisper to it your desires of success and how hard you have worked. think about all the effort you have put into this job and fill the crystal with this energy and drive. Place it into the jar
On your paper write down more of how hard you feel you have worked, all of the effort you have put into the job and what you wish to achieve through success. Fold it up and place it in jar.
Let incense burn to ash (make sure it is fully out) and add it to your jar.
Screw on the lid and then seal it with the wax of the green candles.
Place in your home where you will see it every day. After a stressful day of hard work hold the jar and focus the effort you have put into the day and put it mentally into the jar like you did before. Do not actually open the jar (don’t want to break the spell)

(Recycling spaghetti sauce jars for spell jars is always fun) I have put together a Self-Love/Confidence Jar!
Some of the items I’ve used in my jar!:
•Amethyst
•Rose Quartz
•Rosemary
•Juniper Berries
•Ginger Root
•Hibiscus
•Rose Petals
•Eye of Newt
I’ll hopefully be able to seal it soon with a pink candle!
spell jars 101 ⚱

how to craft a spell jar:
gather your ingredients
charge & program each ingredient before adding it to the jar (aka, give power & instructions to your ingredients)
add the ingredients to the jar
close the jar
enchant the jar as a whole object (see my post on enchanting items for further guidance)
seal with wax, ribbon, or string to finalize & cast the spell
optional: decorate your bottle if you wish
what you can use as a jar:
tiny craft store jars
mason jars
pickle / pasta sauce jars
old medication bottles
food storage containers
what you can add to a spell jar:
dried herbs
dried citrus peels
magickal powders
small crystals
gem chips
essential oils (a drop or two will go a long way)
infused oils (carrier oils such as olive or grapeseed oil that have been infused with herbs)
a few drops of charged water (storm water, war water, sea water, holy water, rain water, moon water, sun water, etc.)
paper (with sigils / symbols / glyphs drawn on it, an incantation, a name, a phrase, etc.)
coins
beads
glitter or confetti
seashells / shark teeth / beach sand
leaves
DNA (finger nail clippings, a piece of hair, etc. to be used as a taglock)
animal fur, nail clippings, teeth, or whiskers***
nails, glass, pins, needles, thorns, & other sharp objects (great for cursing, binding, banishing, or protection)
vinegar, lemon juice, pickle juice (mostly for “souring” a situation)
honey, sugar, syrup (to “sweeten” a situation or for attraction)
pretty much anything that fits & corresponds to your intent
what you should avoid putting in a spell jar:
fresh herbs or plant material (this can cause mold to grow inside of the jar)
biological secretions (i mean, you can if you want but it’s not necessarily sanitary & there are cleaner, more easily obtained taglocks to use instead)
what spell jars are good for:
containing your spell, theoretically making it easier to manipulate & control
manifesting goals/intentions over time
manifesting goals continuously
passive manifestation that doesn’t require much ongoing participation from the caster
what to do with your spell jar once it’s been crafted:
keep it on your altar
depending on the intent of the spell, keep it in a different area that you frequent (for glamours, keep it in the bathroom; for sleep or dreams, keep it in the bedroom; for safe travels, keep it in your vehicle; for cursing, keep it concealed in a black box; etc.)
wear it around your neck
put it in your pocket, purse, or backpack
bury it in your backyard or within a potted plant outside (for spells you don’t plan to undo or want to last indefinitely)
if burying is not an option, hide it somewhere on your property
leave it at a crossroads
recharging spell jars:
shake it up
light a candle on top of or next to it
submerge it in a bath of herbs or crystals that are associated with energy
submerge or surround with sea salt (a natural conductor of energy)
anoint with oil / blessed or charged water
pair with a tarot card or rune stone that matches your intent
suffumigate with incense smoke
energy work & visualization
disposing of & reversing spell jars - when you feel like the spell has done its job or you need to undo its effects:
do not throw the entire jar into an open flame - this is incredibly dangerous
remove the contents from the jar & either burn them or bury them
for items you wish to save, cleanse them thoroughly before using them again
take the jar & cleanse it in whatever manner you choose & either save it to be reused; or shatter it & then dispose of it properly
***please practice safe & ethical harvesting when it comes to using parts from a living animal in your craft; don’t ever trim whiskers off of your pet (if they come out naturally then it’s okay to use them); routine grooming is a great way to obtain some of the things i mentioned; you can use the baby teeth that you inevitably find when your puppy or kitten is teething, also!

Spell Jar for Persephone

I recently decided to start making Spell Jars to help honor deities and create a blend of offerings in the name of that deity. Today I made a couple of Spell Jars and mini Spell Jar necklaces for Persephone.
Things you will need as offerings:
🌹 Pomegranite seeds
🌹 obsidian, onyx, or black quartz (optional depending on your resources, but working with crystals always gives and extra magic boost.)
🌹 Wild Flowers/Spring Flowers
🌹 Bark of a Willow Tree (optional depending on your resources but highly suggested if you are able to obtain it)
🌹 Parsley
🌹 Drops of Infused Rose Oil (I make mine homemade and it is incredibly easy to make)
🌹 Bergamont essential oils
🌹 Wheat
🌹 Lillies
🌹 Lavender
You can mix and match your chosen blend of offering a to Persephone and combine them into a Spell Jar. Along with that, you could write a note or short wish or prayer to Persephone and place that note inside your Jar. I seal my Jars with wax and place them on my Altar or with the mini necklace version, around my neck to always have my deity with me.
I’ll be doing more Deity Spell Jars in the future, I just wanted to start with Persephone, one of my deities. 🖤

‘sugar and spice’ prosperity jar spell 🌹💎
a jar spell to grant general prosperity and draw in good things
gather and layer in a jar:
dried rose petals - for kind feelings in life
cinnamon - wealth and prosperity
white sugar - to bring good natured things to you
pink himalayan rock salt - for defense against negativity
dried coffee grounds - for motivation and catalyst
charge with rose quartz or sunlight, seal with a kiss.

Toilet paper pill box.
Another small fun project for recycling! These are perfect for little gifts and a cute way to send your jewelry to customers… it not only give a nice shell of protection to the treasures you put inside, its cost free, customizable and keeps recycling on the mind <3
All you need are - toilet paper rolls - decor ( i used stamps) - Tape or glue

Step one: decorate your roll. I used some of my stamps, but don’t limit yourself to just that… you can use old paper, photographs, tissue paper, paint, sharpie and whatever else you have laying around to decorate. Mod podge and some pattered paper would be fun!

Step two: Once your roll is decorated to your liking, fold down the corners on one end, making it look like little cat ears. Make sure they fold over each other so there is no open gap, and tape down ( you can also glue the end down) * side note… if you dont like the look of regular tape, they sell something called washi tape? that comes in all sorts of amazing patterns!

-Step three: When you have some side sealed and taped down, wrap and place your item/treasures inside the box ( i wrapped up some earrings) and seal the other end, again making sure they fold over one another so there are no gaps.

- Step four… your done!
Again these are wonderful for gift giving and product packaging. Small, sturdy, cheap, recycled pill boxes…. you can use old paper towel rolls too! those are larger and can fit a bit more than TP rolls.

Spell work Recipes!
here are some different spell jar recipes I’ve made over the years. Some were made by referencing/modifying others I’ve seen; others (the divine fem & divine masc) I made by doing some research.

Self-love Spell Jar

This is a basic spell jar for self-love. It can be made with things you probably already have in your house.
NOTE:
• Make sure to cleanse the container before adding the ingredients;
• White candle can substitute any color candle;
• Rosemary can substitute any herb;
• You can add or remove ingredients as you want, remember to follow the ingredient's correspondence;
• Always set your intention;
THISSSS besides idk i feel like they’re more powerful when it’s something of your own making and energy than something store bought. Maybe it’s the green witch in me but when I do spell jars I usually just use stuff from my kitchen and garden, stuff I find around me yk? I’ve made so many protection jars like this I swear- just get some salt and cinnamon and rosemary and if you’ve got a little amethyst sure why not, just do ur thing
You don’t have to have fancy crystals and herbs for spell jars btw. You can use sugar, coffee grounds, leaves, acorns, etc. Don’t fall victim to witchcraft consumerism.

Spell Jar Basics
For absolute beginners, here's what you need to know about spell jars and how to make them. It's a very easy process, and I'll also throw in a few tricks of the trade I learned myself when I first started making them seriously.
What You Use
The Jar: The jar itself can be any kind of jar, although the best option would be anything glass with a lid. Recycled sauce jars? Good. Fancy Michael's jars? Okay. Thrifted jars? Sure. Using the jar is fairly simple. All you need to do is cleanse it and you're good to go.
The Fillings: Research. Herbs, spices, crystal, or even other things like dirt, thread and twine, crystals, or really just about anything else. HOWEVER, there is one vital rule that I personally follow. No. Water. Based. Anything. Only oil, if you have any to go in. The reason I say this is because water + stuff + enclosed space = molding and other nasty things, and you don't want a corrupted spell jar.
The Intention: Setting intentions is simple enough, it's just focusing on what you want this spell jar to be and making sure you keep it in mind from start to finish.
The Wax: The wax can be any kind. As long as the jar is sealed, that is what matters. Only have a large candle? Let it burn for a while, blow it out, dip the capped spell jar lid into it and let it cool a bit before removing it from over the wax. No dripping on carpet, that's no fun. White candles can be used for any jar, but if you have colored ones, look up the meanings of each color and correspond it with your intentions. You can also use those wax seal melts, with the fun little spoon and the wax beads.
And here are some of the tricks I've learned for them.
The Jar: It doesn't even need to be a jar. It can be a bottle with a lid. Sometimes you'll find those decorative jars in thrift shops that used to be those weird rich people's olive and onion kitchen decorations. I have many of those that I got for like, fifty cents each.
The Filling: Literally just go to Walmart and get their Great Value herbs and spices. It doesn't need to be fancy, it just needs to be real. Affordable crystal beads can be founds at Nbead.com for weight-based shipping. Don't forget things like fruit, peels, teas, and vegetables also have a place in spell jars AS LONG AS ITS DRY.
The Intention: Setting your intention is a simple concept, but those with wandering minds or daydreaming tendencies (say hello to my ADHD) might find it hard. Think hard about what you want this spell jar to be about, or even repeat it to yourself like a mantra. I'll even write it on a bay leaf or a piece of paper and add it into the jar. Just in case.
The Wax: When it comes to jars, I find a lot of old canning jars and sauce jars. However, it can take a LOT of wax to cover the lids, right? So for this, I focus my candle around the edge of the lid, letting it drip down the side and seal it that way. You can also use melted wax from wax warmers over your spell jars, but I'd recommend waiting until the scent is over with, as some may have a magical meaning to them.
If any of you found this helpful, let me know and I might do a few other posts like this in the future focusing on other aspects of the craft. As always, blessed be, and have a good day <3

What's a spell jar?
Hello!
A spell jar is a jar practitioners fill with ingredients like herbs, spices, crystals, dirt, or whatever fits their purpose to create a spell. The spell is placed in the jar, sealed, and activated. It can be put really anywhere while it’s being used to cast.
So for example, someone could make a spell for safe travels. They grab a jar and put ingredients in that correspond with that intention and then seal it with wax, twine, ribbon, or something else. Then it’s activated, maybe by being shaken up or by charging on an altar. After it’s complete, the spell jar can be put in the car, gifted, or tucked in suitcase (or anywhere else the person sees fit).
Hope this helps!

“You Cannot Touch Her” Curse/Binding
This curse is particularly for people who have done harm in the past, and as such already known to be a potential threat. The idea is to keep the person from speaking to or approaching the one you’re trying to protect, and to make them feel watched and judged for their past actions.
You will need the following:
A jar big enough to hold a poppet
Some kind of poppet - I used a wooden one with the offender’s name written on the bottom. A photo could also be used
White out
A black candle
A mixture of black salt & cayenne pepper
A sigil of your own design meaning “You cannot touch [name or pronoun]”
A permanent marker
Light the candle and white out the mouth of your poppet. Roll the poppet in the mixture of black salt and cayenne pepper (black salt tends to stain so keep this in mind). Place it in the jar and seal the lid, leaving the poppet inside under the gaze of dozens of eyes. Write your sigil on the lid. During or after all of this, say the following aloud or think it to yourself (change pronouns accordingly):
You cannot touch her. You cannot speak to her. Think of her and bring this curse upon you. May your tongue catch in your throat if you dare to reach her. May you burn and ache if you come near. May you feel eyes upon your back each time you think her name. They’re watching. I’m watching. May you forever question the gaze of others - Do they know the things you’ve done? I do. I curse you. I bind you. You cannot touch her.
Stash the jar in a dark place, like a closet or a cabinet (I don’t recommend burying jars). Let the candle burn until it extinguishes itself.
