Dead Man's Dust
Intent: For preventing spirits from following you home.
Ingredients:
1 pt Chili Pepper (any type)
1 pt Salt
1 pt Basil
1 pt Garlic Powder
1⁄2 pt Dill
1⁄2 pt Lemon Peel
Optional: Add a pinch of Curry or Cumin for extra oomph.
Note: Powdered versions of most herbs are available online. I recommend Starwest Botanicals and Penn Herbs for quality products at reasonable prices. Also, if you can get your hands on a good electric spice grinder, you can make your own powder from dried herb products. If you don't have premade powdered herbs, grind each ingredient separately to produce fine powder. Sieve the material through the mesh strainer into the collection dish; this removes the larger unground pieces and gives you cleaner powdered herb. (Pro-Tip: Putting a funnel under the mesh strainer reduces lost material and makes collection much easier.)
Combine the component powders in the collection dish, mix well, and bottle immediately. Label with the name, date, and ingredients for future reference.
This powder performs one of the functions of Banishing Powder, but with special attention to warding off pesky ghosts. After visiting historical or haunted locations, or any time you feel spooked while walking home, sprinkle a palmful of powder on the ground and scrape your feet on it (as if you were wiping off dirt) to keep anything ghostly from following you home. Take three steps backward and spit toward the powder, then continue on your way.
For extra protection, toss a pinch of Banishing Powder, Threshold Powder, or Black Salt over your doorstep when you get home.
Note: For safety's sake, make sure you never cast this powder into the wind and wash your hands after use. Leftover particles on your skin can cause pain and irritation if they come into contact with your eyes or breathing passages.

Ghost-Be-Gone Powder
Intent: To banishing interloping spirits.
Ingredients:
2 pt Angelica Root
2 pt Basil (any type)
1 pt White Oak Bark
1 pt White Willow Bark
1⁄2 pt Bloodroot**
1⁄2 pt Black Salt
1⁄2 pt Sandalwood (if desired)
Note: Powdered versions of most herbs are available online. I recommend Starwest Botanicals and Penn Herbs for quality products at reasonable prices. Also, if you can get your hands on a good electric spice grinder, you can make your own powder from dried herb products.
If you don't have premade powdered herbs, grind each ingredient separately to produce fine powder. Sieve the material through a mesh strainer into a collection dish; this removes the larger unground pieces and gives you cleaner powdered herb. (Pro-Tip: Putting a funnel under the mesh strainer reduces lost material and makes collection much easier.)
Combine the component powders in the collection dish, mix well, and bottle immediately. Label with the name, date, and ingredients for future reference.
Use in magics intended to remove troublesome spirits from your home. Sprinkle in the corners of each room, and across thresholds and windowsills to banish unwanted spirits and prevent their return.
Cast a few pinches of Ghost-Be-Gone Powder out your front door or on your doorstep after performing a home cleansing or banishing ritual to help keep your home free of uninvited spirits. Keep a bottle of the powder in troublesome areas to help reduce problems with mild to moderate hauntings and make any spirits who wander in easier to remove. Including the powder in regular cleansing rituals also helps to keep out all but the most determined metaphysical pests.
Add a small amount of Sandalwood or your preferred incense powder to create a burnable mix for smoke-cleansing purposes. Be sure to ventilate your home well after censing as part of a spell or ritual. (Censing or heavy smoke-cleansing are not recommended for homes with pets, small children, or persons with respiratory ailments. Always let caution and common sense prevail when planning your workings.)

super simple and effective ward for your home
you’ll need: a vessel, moon water, any other protective waters you have/use, salt, protective herbs ((nettle leaf, rosemary, cloves, angelica root, etc)), a piece of paper to write your address and a sigil on
put it all together and place it somewhere in your home,, either by the front door or on your altar/work place would be good spots! make sure to redo or replenish the ward whenever it starts to get icky and gross
Safety and protection with fae
I personally love the fae, but I know many people would rather stay far away (and of course it’s very important to know safety guidelines whether you do or not!) so here’s some information I’ve collected.
From many different sources:
Never use your real name when interacting with fae, or they can take control over you
Always be polite and respectful and do your best not to offend. Remember, better safe than sorry
As a general rule, don’t eat food when visiting the fae realm. This will make you a captive, unable to leave, and often the food isn’t as wonderful as it may seem, and only glamoured rocks, mud and sticks. (It’s said faeries will take offense if you don’t accept food they offer to you in our own world though)
Do not think yourself more clever than them or try to swindle them; you will end up in very hot water
You may not want to accept faerie money.. as again, it is often glamoured and will turn back into leaves and acorns soon after
Do not blindly intrude were you are not wanted (fairy rings, sacred faerie places, etc) Always ask first and respect their answer!
Should you find you’ve wandered into a place where you feel strong malevolent energy or evil presence and experience “faerie terror”, back away slowly, don’t run or you might get lost. Send out your good will, and if you can, throw up a bubble/egg ward to protect yourself
Do not to take the fae lightly or seek them half-heartedly. Take care not to act as if they were weak, harmless or lenient. It is very foolish to underestimate them. Faeries are not strictly good or evil (neither are humans), and respect and caution are always best
Salt and iron (tools made from iron, a nail in your pocket) are traditional faerie deterrents
Three leaf clovers can be carried as a protective charm, and four leaf ones can break through faerie magic or allow you to see hidden fae (note some traditions say you should have multiple clovers as each will only work once)
Wearing St. John’s Wort will give you strong protection from faerie magic
As will wearing a daisy
Carrying a rowan twig, or hanging one over your door, that was collected on Betaine may bring protection
Flipping your clothes inside out can prevent faerie mischief by its unexpectedness
Visualisation wards can be effective
Scatter primrose petals outside your door to keep faeries at bay by creating a barrier
If you hear bluebells chime it is a warning that danger or faerie enchantments are near
Putting a daisy chain on a child is said to protect them from being taken as a changeling
Forget me nots can be used for faerie protection
If you’re friendly with any other faeries, you may ask them for protection against ill-willed fae
Faeries will avoid gardens with tomato plants
Make a bundle of twigs from the trees of the faerie triad, oak ash and thorn, and carry it for protection (it will only work if they’re bound together, if separate, they are an invitation to the fae)
One traditional faerie protection is placing mirrors throughout your home
Cats may chase away faeries
The sound of heavy iron bells and chimes may drive them away
Leaving out gifts of honey and milk can appease the fae if you wish them to leave you alone

Protection Candle to cast circles
Picture from pixabay.com
I have been practicing witchcraft off and on for about 16 years, and in those 16 years I've discovered that I do not have the patience to cast a protective circle with elaborate chants and hand movements every time that I do a spell. So I developed this particular method, which works perfectly for me. And it might work for you as well!
What do we need?
A white candle
Pester and Mortar
Neutral oil (I use almond oil, but olive oil is okay too)
Rosemary (for cleansing and purification)
Lavender (for cleansing and purification)
Mugwort (for protection)
Bay leaf (for purification, protection and to set intention)
Thyme (for banishing)
The process
I like to cleanse my space first before doing any spell work. I light my previous candle if I have one, otherwise I cleanse with sound. For this, I use my bell and ring it thrice.
Add the Rosemary, Lavender, Mugwort and Thyme in your mortar. Grind until the herbs are small.
Take your bay leaf and write your intention down on it.
Add it to your mortar and grind until its small.
Anoint your candle with the oil.
Sprinkle your herb mixture on the candle until it's covered to your satisfaction.
Put the candle in a candle holder and light it whenever you want to do a spell. You can walk a circle with it or just let it burn on your altar. That's completely up to you, what you feel is best.
That is my very easy protection candle, which I use to cast circles with. I usually let it burn on my altar for the duration of my spell work and blow it out when I am done. While working on the candle, I also like to play some music. I make playlists with songs that give me the right vibe; Click here for my protection playlist!
I hope this works for you as it works for me, or inspires you to find your own easy way to protect your space! Blessed Be!
Protective Measures Against Common Hexes or Curses
Against the Evil Eye:
Hang dill weed over all windows and doorways in the home.
Wear a blue eye bead for constant personal protection. Hang one from the rear-view mirror of your car, as well.
Keep a cimaruta (an Italian talisman sporting multiple symbols) on your altar to stave off interference in your magical work.
Against Nightmares:
Keep a silver bell in your bedroom, and ring it to drive off nightmare-causing evil spirits each night before you go to bed.
A small dish of coffee beans kept by the bed staves off nightmares.
Rosemary plants placed near the bed shield against unpleasant dreams.
For Safe Automobile Travel:
Keep a whole ash leaf in the glove box for magical protection.
Keep a tiger’s eye in the vehicle to protect against accidents.
Hang a bag filled with wormwood and plantain from the rear-view mirror to prevent negative spirits from taking on the position of co-pilot.
Protective witchcraft
Witchcraft can be a powerful tool for protection, but it is important to approach it with respect and caution. Here are some tips for using witchcraft to protect yourself:
Set intentions: Before you begin any ritual or spell, it is important to set clear intentions for what you want to achieve. Visualize yourself surrounded by a protective energy that keeps you safe and secure.
Use protective symbols: There are many symbols that are commonly used for protection in witchcraft, such as the pentacle, the evil eye, and the hamsa. You can wear these symbols as jewelry or draw them on talismans to carry with you.
Use herbs & crystals: There are many herbs and crystals that are believed to have protective properties in witchcraft. Some popular options include black pepper, rosemary, black tourmaline, and amethyst. You can use these herbs and crystals in spells or carry them with you in a sachet or pouch.
Create a protective charm: You can create a protective charm by combining herbs, crystals, and other materials in a small pouch or container. This charm can be carried with you or placed in your home to provide ongoing protection.
Use visualization: Visualization is a powerful tool in witchcraft. Visualize a protective bubble of energy surrounding you, or imagine yourself surrounded by a circle of protective light.
Call on deities or spirits: If you work with deities or spirits in your witchcraft practice, you can call on them for protection. Some popular options include Hecate, Artemis, and Archangel Michael.
Cast a protection spell: You can cast a spell to protect yourself from harm. This can involve creating a protective circle, calling on the elements, and using candles, herbs, and other tools to set your intention and create a protective energy.
Create a protective sigil: A sigil is a symbol that is created to represent a specific intention or desire. You can create a sigil for protection by writing out your intention and then using the letters to create a unique symbol. This symbol can then be charged with energy and used for protection.
Use divination: Divination can be a helpful tool for identifying potential sources of harm or danger. You can use tarot cards, runes, or other divination tools to gain insight into potential threats and take steps to protect yourself.
Practice grounding & centering: Grounding and centering can help you stay grounded and focused, even in stressful or dangerous situations. This involves connecting with the earth and your own inner strength to create a sense of stability and protection.
Remember that protection is not a one-time event, but an ongoing practice. Incorporate these tips into your daily witchcraft practice to create a strong and lasting protective energy around yourself.
Crystals for Protection (Christian witchery)
I have a friend who knows I’m into witchery and That Spooky Shit™, but she doesn’t want to invite it into her house. And I respect that. However, she recently asked for help to cleanse and un-spookify her new home. She’s not particularly comfortable with witchcraft, but she’s open to Christian mysticism, christian-flavored witchcraft, and some new-agey things like crystals. So as part of her care package, I assembled a short list of Protective Crystals with multiple uses, which also have corresponding Saints & Angels for Christian witches.
(She works as a veterinarian, so she has to avoid long/dangly necklaces, bracelets, rings, etc. for safety reasons. Crystal earring studs seemed like the best way to sneak it into her daily routine!)

Smoky Quartz - (Protection), Grounding. Protects from negative energy and social conflict. Saint/Angel: Gabriel.
Tanzanite - (Protection), Boosts communication & personal power to achieve goals. Saint/Angel: Michael.
Tiger's Eye - (Protection), Boosts mental clarity, peace, & potential. Saint/Angel: Uriel.
(I know this isn't a common need, but I can't be the only person in this situation with a Christian/Catholic friend who wants help, just... not overly witchy help).
I suggest cleansing and/or blessing the crystals, your jewelry, etc. before you wear them. It may also help to keep Ephesians 6:11-13 in mind:
11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.
Consider these earrings as part of YOUR personal Armor of God. You've accessorized your Armor with protective crystals, so there.
So slap on your Armored Earrings of God and stay safe out there!

Sometimes referred to (ironically) as ‘the bard’s sanctuary’, this spell can be risky, but it certainly has its uses when there are squishy wizards in need of protection.
This shit is terrifying
But it's great to see there are still people who are willing to help and protect others in danger regardless of the consequences
When the gunman advanced toward the mosque, killing those in his path, Abdul Aziz didn’t hide. Instead, he picked up the first thing he could find, a credit card machine, and ran outside screaming “Come here!”
Aziz, 48, is being hailed as a hero for preventing more deaths during Friday prayers at the Linwood mosque in Christchurch after leading the gunman in a cat-and-mouse chase before scaring him into speeding away in his car.
But Aziz, whose four sons and dozens of others remained in the mosque while he faced off with the gunman, said he thinks it’s what anyone would have done.
The gunman killed 49 people after attacking two mosques in the deadliest mass shooting in New Zealand’s modern history.
[…]
He said he could hear his two youngest sons, aged 11 and 5, urging him to come back inside.
The gunman returned, firing. Aziz said he ran, weaving through cars parked in the driveway, which prevented the gunman from getting a clean shot. Then Aziz spotted a gun the gunman had abandoned and picked it up, pointed it and squeezed the trigger. It was empty.
He said the gunman ran back to the car for a second time, likely to grab yet another weapon.
“He gets into his car and I just got the gun and threw it on his window like an arrow and blasted his window,” he said.
The windshield shattered: “That’s why he got scared.”
He said the gunman was cursing at him, yelling that he was going to kill them all. But he drove away and Aziz said he chased the car down the street to a red light, before it made a U-turn and sped away. Online videos indicate police officers managed to force the car from the road and drag out the suspect soon after.
Originally from Kabul, Afghanistan, Aziz said he left as a refugee when he was a boy and lived for more than 25 years in Australia before moving to New Zealand a couple of years ago.“I’ve been to a lot of countries and this is one of the beautiful ones,” he said. And, he always thought, a peaceful one as well.
Aziz said he didn’t feel fear or much of anything when facing the gunman. It was like he was on autopilot. And he believes that Allah didn’t think it was his time to die.

She met you during her training. She was simple shooting arrows into the target and..let’s just say you almost got hit since you DID appear out of the bushes and she did got startled.
You just simple told her that you just escaping a family and didn’t want to cause any trouble. At first, she didn’t really believe ya, but she lower her bow down.
After that day, she kept an eye on you. She made sure you don’t do anything reckless and made sure you, at least, safe and sound.
Let me tell ya. Eugene was like SO confused as heck. He’s like “..excuse me? The cold and heartless CassAndra actually CARE?!…I don’t like this! Not one bit!”. Rapunzel told him that it’s actually amazing that Cassandra care for someone even they just met.
Cassandra wouldn’t be THAT protective about watching over you; remembering you did come to Corona alone and not getting caught by the guards is kinda impressed. BUT she is very protective during a battle or something.
She DOES check on you time to time..maybe three a day or so. She just wanna make sure you’re doing ok. If you need someone to talk to..she’ll be there. Doesn’t matter if she’s on her duty..she can multiple tasks.
She does train you whatever you need to know about combat..but when you got scared since..you got hurt during a forced combat in the past and Cassandra comfort you…reassuring you that she will never forced you into a combat ever. Course, when it comes to battles and such. She would stay by your side and make sure you’re doing alright in the field. If you do get hurt..oh run! They’re dead as they ever be.
She would immediately bandage your wounds and kinda stay near you time to time. Depending on how harsh your parents were, you would be shock and surprise.
Everyone and every guards know not to mess with you cause we all know we don’t wanna deal with Cassandra’s wraith.
Overall, she won’t admit she care deeply for you, but she does. She wanna make sure you feel safe within the walls of Corona and make sure you feel right at home.
(I hope you enjoy this. Sorry for the wait, having some trouble rn. I tried to make this long as possible and hope you like it)
Angel of God, my guardian dear,
to whom God’s love commits me here,
ever this day be at my side,
to light and guard, to rule and guide.
Amen.
The story of two gardens in Surah Al-Kahf speaks about this:
وَأُحِيطَ بِثَمَرِهِۦ فَأَصۡبَحَ يُقَلِّبُ كَفَّيۡهِ عَلَىٰ مَآ أَنفَقَ فِيهَا وَهِيَ خَاوِيَةٌ عَلَىٰ عُرُوشِهَا وَيَقُولُ يَٰلَيۡتَنِي لَمۡ أُشۡرِكۡ بِرَبِّيٓ أَحَدٗا
-Surah Al-Kahf, Ayah 42
(Sahih International)
And his fruits were encompassed [by ruin], so he began to turn his hands about [in dismay] over what he had spent on it, while it had collapsed upon its trellises, and said, "Oh, I wish I had not associated with my Lord anyone."
وَلَمۡ تَكُن لَّهُۥ فِئَةٞ يَنصُرُونَهُۥ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَمَا كَانَ مُنتَصِرًا
-Surah Al-Kahf, Ayah 43
(Sahih International)
And there was for him no company to aid him other than Allah, nor could he defend himself.
هُنَالِكَ ٱلۡوَلَٰيَةُ لِلَّهِ ٱلۡحَقِّۚ هُوَ خَيۡرٞ ثَوَابٗا وَخَيۡرٌ عُقۡبٗا
-Surah Al-Kahf, Ayah 44
(Sahih International)
There the authority is [completely] for Allah, the Truth. He is best in reward and best in outcome.
----------------------------------------
Striving to get closer to Allah should be our goal irrespective of our circumstances. Always being grateful to Him and believing in Him sincerely, putting all of our trust in Him helps us both in time of adversity and prosperity. If we are struggling with this, that doesn't mean we should give up but instead we should keep working on it and remember no one is perfect except Allah so strive in His cause for His sake.
----------------------------------------
-Surah Al-Ankabut, Ayah 69
(Sahih International)
And those who strive for Us - We will surely guide them to Our ways. And indeed, Allah is with the doers of good.
Nearness to Allah is the only shelter from the storms of life. And a wise person does not wait until after the storm hits to find refuge. A wise person is already safe inside the shelter before the storms hit. Stay close to Allah in ease and you will be protected in hardship. And indeed the worse punishment in this life are not the storms of the life, rather the distance with Allah.
