So far his resolve is unbroken, he looks amused, yes, but there's no green hue to his cheeks. You don't have the delightfully embarrassing outcome that you want.

The common sense inside of you isn't exactly winning at the moment, and so, you decide to be forward and play with fire for once. "What a good coincidence that it was being played by an equally enchanting and almost romantic man."

How the TOS crew reacts to being stuck in the turbo lift with you

Spock

He only briefly looks up when he realises that the turbo lift has stopped.

Has no reaction whatsoever and goes back to doing whatever work on his PADD because he figures somebody has to notice it’s out of order fairly quickly

He just goes about his business until he hears you hyperventilating

He already knows why you’re panicking.

Spock does his best to comfort you by telling you that there’s only one turbo lift and therefore someone will have to fix it soon.

He’ll 100% tell you all about the history of elevators and how the turbo lift is so much safer 🤓

If you’re still worried after that he’ll let you hold his hand until someone finally fixes the turbo lift.

Leonard ‘Bones’ McCoy

Internally, he also freaks out a little bit

Bones somehow keeps his composure despite being trapped very close to you

He’s entirely in his own head about it until he realises that he can hear you freaking out even more than him

His inner country boy breaks out a little and pulls you close to him

Absolutely kisses your hands and maybe even your cheek to make you giggle a bit

“Huh” his exact words after realising you’ve stopped.

Honestly, he really really trusts his crew so he won’t be worried at all

But the moment he hears your breathing pick up he’ll start cracking jokes

“Actually this works out perfectly, I was on my way to a meeting”

Pulls you into a big bear hug and tells you how he’d much rather be here with you

if you’re still panicking he’ll say something like “do I have to order you to calm down”

Keeps telling jokes until you laugh

and when you do laugh, he’s pretty sure his heart jumps out of his chest.

Nyota Uhura

Absolute girl boss about it

Would 100% wait it out if it weren’t for the fact that she could see you panicking

But you’re panicking and she can’t bare to see you with anything but a smile on your face

She pulls out her comm and calls down to engineering (why did no one else think to do this? 🧐)

Once she’s done that all she can really do is wait

She won’t even wait or hesitate, she’ll pull you to the floor and sit with you

10/10 would recommend getting stuck in the turbo lift with Nyota, she will cuddle until someone fixes the lift

But he kicks into gear when he remembers you’re here too

He pulls out a deck of cards and asks if you like magic 🪄

Not to be weird, but your face, he just enjoys how expressive it is. When you laugh, smile, sigh in irritation, roll your eyes, or yawn. All of it, he just thinks you’re an adorable human 😍🥰.

B = Baby (Do they want a family? Why/Why not?)

Not at the moment. He only wants one if it seems practical for the current situation. He loves you, but he’s still hyper-logical. He’s not itching to have kids either, so if you don’t want them he doesn’t mind.

C = Cuddle (How do they cuddle?)

He’s not really a cuddler himself, but he understands why physical affection is important to you so he won’t stop you from being affectionate. He’ll definitely reach for your hand though if he starts having uneasy feelings (not that he’ll admit to having feelings most of the time). He’ll never stop you from touching him, but he is a bit hesitant to initiate contact.

D = Dates (What are dates with them like?)

Doesn’t really do dates, but does teach you to play the Vulcan harp. He mostly does it as an excuse for you to sit in his lap 💚😳💚

Reason. He says that you are his Reason, not like his reason to live, but like his reason, his logic. Highest compliment honestly, he will turn bright green if you mention it.

F = Feelings (When did they know they were in love?)

Basically instantly, or at least there’s an instant attraction. You just radiate this energy that’s unlike anything he’s ever encountered. At first he tries to convince himself that it’s just curiosity and nothing else.

G = Gentle (Are they gentle? If so, how?)

Incredibly, you know until he’s not. He tries to be aware of your feelings and such, but he does have a knack for accidentally hurting people’s feelings with his blatant honesty.

H = Hands (How do they like to hold hands?)

Nervously and with your fingers interlaced . It’s a bit of a nervous habit for him. It could also be that he feels that either he or you are being threatened.

I = Impression (What was their first impression?)

He’s absolutely enthralled. The way you carry yourself and the way you act, it’s like no one is watching, or maybe that you know everyone is but it doesn’t matter to you. He can’t believe the confidence.

J = Jealousy (Do they get jealous easily?)

He sees jealousy as illogical as long as he can tell you care for him still. Although he will get a little fidgety if other people touch your hands.

K = Kiss (How do they kiss? Who initiated the first kiss?)

Rarely, but when he does it’s full of feeling. When he kisses he means it and it’s the only thing he’s focused on. He makes an experience of it, it’s not just a passing thing he does.

L = Love (Who says ‘I love you’ first?)

He does because he does. It’s true so why wouldn’t he say it, it’s one of the times when his blatant honesty comes in handy.

M = Memory (What’s their favourite memory together?)

He loves just to have you around, so his favourite memory is probably the first time you asked if you could spend the night in his quarters. You just couldn’t sleep so he read to you some before you curled into him and fell asleep.

N = Nickel (Do they spoil? Do they buy the person they love everything?)

No, not only does he not see the point in it, but it would also take up a lot of space that neither of you really has in your quarters. Although, on occasion if he sees you eyeing something he’ll buy it for you when you aren’t looking and gift it to you a bit later.

O = Orange (What colour reminds them of their other half?)

It’s pink, that same shade of muted pink that can be seen under your fingernails. It’s because (at first unintentionally, but now on purpose) you always seem to find a way to be fiddling with his or your hands, almost entirely because you know it’ll make him a little fidgety too.

P = Pet names (What pet names do they use?)

Definitely uses T’hy’la quite often, but also uses Darling (almost overly annunciates the whole word). Although he probably just calls you by your name or rank when in public, unless provoked by jealousy

Q = Quaint (What is their favourite non-modern thing?)

Books, but also sheet music, I think the two kind of go together. He’ll read to you from whatever newly acquired book he’s got at the moment. While he’s something of an organised person, I also see him leaving books and sheet music just scattered about his quarters, but in an aesthetic way (🤷‍♀️)

R = Rainy Day (What do they like to do on a rainy day?)

He’s either going to spend that day reading or you’re going to find him playing some dreadfully melancholic tune on his harp (I don’t make the rules).

S = Sad (How do they cheer themselves/others up?)

Will list every reason why it is currently illogical to be sad. If that doesn’t work, as it usually doesn’t, then you can hug him until you feel better. He’s not the best hugger, but he’s really good at letting you hug him.

T = Talking (What do they like to talk about?)

He is really more of a listener, but if you ask him a question with an answer that he knows anything about, he’s a lecturer, will talk for hours about why this button does that.

U = Unencumbered (What helps them relax?)

Probably talking, but not with a purpose. He likes the kind of conversation where you’re talking about everything and nothing, sometimes you’ll stop talking for a few minutes and it’ll just be silent, but then you’ll pick up again like you didn’t stop having the conversation.

V = Vaunt (What do they like to show off? What are they proud of?)

Honestly, I don’t think that he’s super into himself (if that makes sense, like he generally has good self worth, but he’s not very interested in himself, I dunno) point in case it’s you. He’ll go around the Enterprise doing the Vulcan equivalent of “Look what my SO did/made!”

W = Wedding (When, how, where do they propose?)

You’re probably alone, he’ll preface with how it’s not really important to him, but he understands that the tradition is important to humans sometimes, and then he’ll just flatly ask if you like to marry him.

X = Xylophone (what’s their favourite song?)

I have other ideas, but ever since reading this fic, I think it might be

Sort of, sometimes, but mostly he focuses on what needs doing right now. It is a thought has frequently though when he’s finally got time to himself.

He doesn’t really see the point in having a pet. If you want one though he’ll be okay with pretty much anything that isn’t reptilian. Probably ends up with a cat that he won’t admit he loves.

Is curious, but not particularly surprised

what really gave you away was when the engine core went out in the middle of the night and you came out in pyjamas and a night cap and still had ears through them

He won’t mention it though until you’re ready to talk about it.

when you are ready to talk though, he has a million questions about your ears.

you will ask if he can touch them just once… for scientific purposes.

Bones

He’s always known

Your hair can’t always be covering where your human ears would be.

He can basically see your lack of humanoid ears every time you tilt your head

but if no one else has noticed, he’s not gonna be the one to tell them

Similarly to Spock he won’t mention it

but he does have to confront you about it when it’s time for your first checkup, he’s a doctor, he can’t just ignore your big floppy ears.

very nice about it though

might jokingly offer to get you carrots at the end of your checkup for being a good patient

Y/N sat on the floor in front of Spock, who sat on the couch reading. He would occasionally look over at Y/N as he his hand over their back and through their hair. Just to spend them with you If I could make days last forever If words could make wishes come true Y/N sat with a magazine in their lap, folded open to a crossword puzzle. “Hmm” they muttered softly and tucked their pencil behind their ear. “What is it, T’hy’la?” Spock questioned in a low tone as he looked over the edge of his book. “Eight letter word for an athletic field” Y/N said, scratching the back of their neck. “A puzzle indeed, I believe ‘coaching’ would fit the given parameters” Spock informed lovingly as he took extra care to scratch Y/N’s scalp before going back to reading. I’d save every day like a treasure and then Again, I would spend them with you If ever there was a moment Spock wanted to freeze and live in forever, it would be this one. Just him and Y/N.

Sudoku Challenge

You were going through your things when you stumbled across a book of sudoku. You weren't even sure why you had it, you hated that stuff. You think that maybe you bought it before you knew what Sudoku was and just never threw it away. You were about to throw it away now, but then a brilliant idea and immense curiosity struck you. You took it with you down to the bridge.

"Hey, Spock!" You called when you saw him, he turned slowly to look at you. "Yes, Lieutenant Y/L/N?" He asked with a raised eyebrow. "I bet you thirty credits that you can't do this whole book in two days!" You said as you walked nearer to him, waving the book in front of yourself the entire time. "An interesting hypothesis, Lieutenant," Spock replied, taking the book in his hand and flipping through the pages.

"Have you a pen?" He asked, still looking down at the Sudoku. "Uh, let me see," you paused, patting yourself down, you didn't have any pockets but you usually kept one clipped to you somewhere.

You finally found behind your ear, "here," you said handing spock the pen, "Good luck, " you chuckled as you walked back into the turbo lift and headed down to engineering.

*There's no way he'll finish it in two days, that thin is like 300 pages, four puzzle a page*, you thought to yourself as you stepped out of the turbo lift. There was a medical bed sitting at your station, a whole fucking medical bed.

"What happened to this thing?!?" You called to scotty as you stood in front of your station. "I'm not sure, but it started zapping patients, McCoy had it taken away entirely," Scotty explained, "Alright," You let up as you picked up your tools and slid down to the ground.

You opened up the panel on the side of the bed and slid in. Looking at it for five minutes, you figured out that there was a quantum breakdown in the phase rubidium core, a simple fix, the electro-ceramic shell just had to be uncoupled.

You quickly got to work removing the electro-ceramic shell in question, but it was a very delicate matter and time consuming too.

"Lieutenant Y/L/N," Spock deadpanned, scaring the shit out of you, you hit your head on the underside of the medical bed. "Crap! What's up Spock?!?" You asked as you slid out from under the bed.

"I believe you owe me thirty credits," He stated with a slight smile, handing you the book and pen as you stood. "You're kidding, right?!?" You asked incredulously, "I assure you I am not," He said as you flipped through the book.

"Well damn," you huffed, "I guess I owe you thirty, " you chuckle. Spock looked around for a moment to make sure no one was around. "Don't worry, T'hy'la, I won't hold you to it," He assured you, pulling you close to him for a kiss.

“Hmm,” Y/N hummed quietly as she rolled over in Spock’s tight hold to face him, “I guess you’re right,” she mumbled in agreement as she buried her face into his chest. “You know you can’t leave now, right?” Y/N asked as she moved to rub her cheek against his neck.

“I didn’t intend to go anywhere,” Spock said and one of Y/N’s ears twitched as he scratched just behind it.
